Came here the other night for a dinner. The Bartender was amazing and he was very kind while I waited on my reservation. Once seated outside, our server Juan was very kind and knew a lot about the menu to let us know what would best suit our needs. I ordered the Meatballs Al Forno for the appetizers which were great and the bread that came with it delicious. For entrees we order the lasagna, prosciutto, and meat lovers pizzas. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. The lasagna in my opinion was just ok. It was good, but not the best that I’ve had and I would’ve expected a bit better for an Italian restaurant. But not all lasagnas are made the same. And they are more known for their pizzas than their lasagna. Overall, we had a great dining experience and this is truly a beautiful restaurant with incredible staff. I will certainly try it again and get the pizza next time which was a colossal hit with my party.
The food was breathtaking, by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. I ordered the Margherita pizza which was perfect! Their dough is the best, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. Definitely order the Japanese sweet potatoes to start… full of so much flavor. For a Michelin restaurant could’ve had better, attentive service but it’s okay the food made up for it lol
After hearing about Mozza Osteria Pizza for years, I can’t believe it took me sixteen years of living in LA to finally try it. And wow what a mistake waiting this long was. The service (Olivia) was absolutely amazing: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without feeling forced. From the first bite, the food was nothing short of orgasmic perfectly balanced flavors, incredible ingredients, and pizza that tastes like it was made with pure love and obsession. Every bite reminded me why this place has the reputation it does. Mozza isn’t just hyped it delivers. I walked in curious and walked out completely blown away. This is the kind of meal you think about days later.
Nancy Silverton's restaurants have been on my radar for a while now...and this one was everything I had hoped it would be. We started with the meatballs and not only were they good but the accompanying sesame toast with herbed butter was one of the highlights of the entire meal. I think it's safe to say that Nancy and her team know dough! The pizza was fantastic...and the crust was perfect - crisp with the right amount of chew. And the desserts...we had the Peanut Butter Straciatella Gelato Pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding...both were good choices. If Mozza has been on your list - like it was on mine...do yourself a favor and stop waiting.
Have been meaning to try this LA gem for years. Lived up to its reputation on all levels. Everything was delicious & exquisitely prepared. We shared Nancy's chopped salad with Napoletana and Funghi Misti pizzas. Was the perfect way to end our Thanksgiving weekend. We lucked out by just walking in; I'll make a reservation in the future. Service also fabulous!
I ate here for the first time recently and had a great experience. The service and the food were both excellent! The ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked. The pizzas were very good and I especially like the dough. However, one of the pizzas had more soot on the bottom of the crust than I would have preferred, a little is okay. Other than that, it was a 5 Star experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza, salad, and appetizers and dessert. The food was delicious and worth every penny. We’ll definitely be returning for more. The outdoor seating was okay, with nice decor, but it still seemed like an improvised setup from the COVID era. Next time, we’d prefer to sit inside.
Stopped by for an early dinner. I would recommend making a reservation, as it seems like the place can get busy, and it was easy enough to make. We shared one appetizer (Stuffed zucchini blossoms), one pizza (Margherita) and one pasta dish (Vodka pasta). This was a good amount for 2 of us. The zucchini flowers were heavily breaded and very crispy with a cheesy interior, flavorful and nice contrast in textures. The pizza is exactly what you would expect from a good Margherita pizza, crispy glutenous crust, solid tomato sauce that was a little sweet, and high quality mozzarella cheese. The pasta was served casserole style and was baked. There were some crispy pieces and that was just fine for us. A little on the pricier side, but not bad.
There’s five‑star pizza, and then there’s Pizzeria Motor—a wood‑fired masterpiece that’s pure performance art. From the first crackle of molten cheese to that perfect char on the crust, every bite feels earned. But the real star? Herbie, the maestro behind the flame. Watching Herbie work is like seeing a choreographed ballet: he slides each pie into the hearth, spins it with practiced flair, and pulls it out in seconds—golden crust, puffed edge, flawless. He moves with such precision and speed you almost expect applause when the pie slides out. He’s not just cooking; he’s performing, and every customer is front‑row. The pizza menu reads like a love letter to wood‑fired authenticity: classic Margherita, pepperoni with that sweet‑smoky bite, seasonal veggie pies where roasted peppers and blistered onions shine. And don’t sleep on the standout quattro formaggi—oozing ricotta, fontina, taleggio, and mozzarella in gooey harmony. And, more than pizza: Start with their house‑made arancini: crispy on the outside, molten risotto and gooey cheese on the inside. The fresh burrata salad, drizzled with olive oil and basil, bridges that line between light and indulgent. And for dessert? The peach Stager (yes, that’s its name!)—a warm peach galette with creamy gelato melting into sticky-sweet fruit. It’s the perfect cooldown after an inferno of flavor. Every aspect of Pizzeria Motor screams craft and passion—from the dough proofed until it sings, to the fire that kisses each crust just right. Herbie’s pizzas? They’re not just food; they’re a show, and if you care about wood‑fired perfection in LA, this is your stage. Final verdict: Pizzeria Motor is the must‑go‑to place in LA for pizza—the complete showstopper. Herbie charts the course, the menu delivers across the board, and the vibe is effortless but electric. Five stars—and then some.
Pretty place, high quality ingredients. Meat lovers pizza was amazing. Mushroom kind of meh. Had a rich mushroom and cheese flavor but was dry and lacked acidity. I guess I need a tomato sauce on my pizza. As other reviews mentioned, the tricolate salad was solid. Strong flavor of qnchovy and cheese, but I like that!
9/10 ⭐️ Yes - TRUST the other Google reviews when they recommend the Squash Blossom Fritti (21 USD) 👏 the stuffed ricotta in the crispy squash blossom was a lovely combination Meat Lovers pizza (29 USD) - had a yummy crust and REALLY good fennel sausage We wanted more greens so we opted for the Nancy’s Chopped Salad (24 USD) and we finished the whole bowl despite its large portion. Overall: a slightly hefty price tag but worthwhile for an upmarket pizza experience
This well-regarded pizzeria on Highland Avenue is recognized for its use of Californian ingredients and the exceptional crust created by James Beard Award-Winning Chef Nancy Silverton. The restaurant's atmosphere is inviting and cozy, and we were fortunate to have made a reservation, allowing us to secure a table on a bustling Saturday evening. The antipasti, including the Squash Blossom Fritti, showcased a delightful balance of flavors with the ricotta, Parmigiano, and lemon wrapped inside the squash blossoms, and the deep-frying added a pleasant texture. The selection of salads, particularly the Tricolore drizzled with Parmigiano, served as excellent starters before we moved on to the renowned pizzas. The Napoletana pizza was a standout dish, featuring a delightful combination of flavors from the tomato, mozzarella di bufala, olives, anchovies, chiles, and fried capers, all perfectly balanced on a beautifully cooked pizza dough. The outstanding crust added to the experience, while the anchovies provided an enjoyable saltiness. The Meat Lover’s pizza was also very satisfying, loaded with bacon, pepperoni, fennel sausage, guanciale, tomato, and mozzarella. Overall, we had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food with friends, and both the service and ambiance were commendable.
I tried Pizzeria Mozza for the first time on Valentines Day weekend and loved it! I’ve been a big fan of Osteria Mozza for years, don’t know why it took me this long to venture next door. The pizza and dessert were phenomenal. The crust has a slight sweetness like a NY pie. The chopped salad and burrata were delicious as well. Highly recommend this place, will be back soon!
This place just keeps getting better! Most successful restaurants that have been open this long start to lose their spark but not Mozza! We had an amazing meal tonight: tricolor salad, calamari, stuffed shells, burrata pizza and the sea bass. Our lovely waitress, Isabella, timed out the meal perfectly and every dish was perfect. The place has a great ambience and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you Mozza!
I just love the mushroom pizza. The generous amount of mushrooms and flavor is just fabulous and my favorite. The pepperoni is delicious as well and as you can see, they are very generous with the amount of pepperoni. We ordered vodka pasta and cheese pasta and both were delicious. The cheese pasta was nice and cheesy and crusty on top which I really like. The vodka pasta had a tasty red sauce and had me wanting more. For dessert we had apple crisp and pear tart. Both were the perfect way to end a meal but I really enjoyed the pear tart as it was less sweet than the apple crisp. I prefer less sweet desserts. You know the food is delicious when almost a week later you still recall the flavor of the pizza and other dishes and you want to go back for more!
Beautiful location (outdoors) that truly feels like Europe (coming from a European)! The PROSCIUTTO plate was great, the TRICOLORE salad was to die for, CALAMARI FRITTI were not to my taste, ZUCCHINE A SCAPECE was great!!! And finally HARISSA PRAWNS had an unexpected but really good taste. We also had the garlic bread, but it wasn’t my favorite. Overall will be back to try some new dishes and reorder my favorites!
I've been here over 30 times. Casual dining with something for everyone. Lots of pizza options (my family and I have eaten every pizza on the menu). They usually have three different salads (very simple, big - feeds about 4 people), and a really good price. There are also pastas, desserts, meet options, beers, and wines. A must try dessert is the BUTTERSCOTCH BUDINO, CHICKEN LIVER BRUSCHETTE, and the mushroom pizza. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Also, good for kids too. There is street parking during the day, but at night due to beverly hills crazy no parking between 4 and 8pm, it's really hard to find street parking. There is valet parking, which is rather expensive ($20). They also do private parties, if you want to celebrate something special - they do special events in a different room that is like a large cellar, very intimate. The main dining area gets very noisy when full, and moving around is harder, especially wheelchair or walker
Delicious take on pizza. The hype is all it’s made out to be. Very impressive that each of the five pizzas that we tasted, were all unique, creative, thoughtful to the ingredients, all in balance, and all totally different but equally incredible. Great atmosphere, wonderful salad, helpful and attentive service, lovely vibe and can’t wait to return. Some of the best pizza I’ve had in the USA and maybe the world (yes, I’ve eaten pizza all over Italy/NYC/Philly).

I’ve had pizza in NY, but the pizza here is absolutely top of the line. I recommend adding some red peppers to your slices. Just thinking about the taste makes my mouth water!
Still worthy of 5 stars and its position as one of the top restaurants in L.A. Immaculate service, fabulous food and a lovely ambiance.

The food was good, but seemed a bit oversold by the reviews we saw. It was good, but not do or die kind of recommendation. We did enjoy the outdoor seating atmosphere and the staff was great.
Pizzeria Mozza specializes in Neopolitan style pizza, but with a unique touch of having an extraordinarily thin crispy crust. Ambience is classy upscale Italian American, but since it's LA you don't have to dress up too fancy. Service was mostly friendly, oddly the hostess said we only had 75 minutes until she needed our 4 top table for an upcoming reservation...but by the time we were done eating 60 minutes later, the restaurant was 80% empty. I've never worked in a restaurant, so who knows. I ordered a club soda...the waiter brought back a small bottle of fever tree and a glass of ice. $5, yikes! $25 Fungi Misti(Mushroom) Pizza...a cheesy blend of fontina, taleggio, & Parmigiano, and of course a generous spread of roasted mushrooms perfectly carmelized. The thin Neopolitan crust somehow magically supports all that goodness with barely a fold, tasty! $24 Nancy's Chopped Salad...a massive mountain of fresh iceberg lettuce, radicchio, red onion, provolone, salami, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, ceci, dried oregano & oregano vinaigrette. It's huge! Enough for 2-3 normal people, or one vegetarian(minus the salami!).

Great atmosphere, ok service. I tried the funghi pizza cause the reviews said it was the best. Alas, not for me. Others on my table liked their food though.
I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this place. I adore Nancy Silverton. Her cookbooks are super. But, for a Michelin place, very disappointed. First, they forgot my son's mac and cheese. Pizzas came out and we waited...waited...waited. Staff could care less. His food came about 30 mins after pizza. We were basically finished. Waiter finally came over and said the chef was "not happy with how the entree looked." Really? Photo showing how it looks. Long and short, we won't be returning.

The pizza was good but nothing to rave about. The Barbara d'Alba was not worthy of being on the wine list, even though it was one of the less-expensive wines.

Excellent service but the food was disappointing. Appetizers were average, the pasta was not worth getting at all, and the pizza was good but not exceptional. Just lacking flavor in general. None of the food was memorable and left me wanting more. Dessert was also ok. Considering the high prices, I wouldn't come back or recommend this place.
Had high expectations. Let’s begin. We started with prosciutto & pear appetizer .. no. I almost spit it out but I don’t wanna be rude. I let my boyfriend eat the rest. Olive oil was nice. 1/5 One hour later… for two pizzas. Flavors and ingredient pairing was great. Enjoyed the thinness of the pizza. However crust should be delicious and good to eat. Bread did not have much flavor. Very bland. 3/5 Ending with dessert. Cannolis had pistachio ? Why? Focus on the flavor of the actual cream which didn’t have much taste. Pretty plating. They made it look good. 1/5 Overall this place is so overpriced … nothing special . If you can’t perfect the basics like bread and cream what are they doing? My bf and I go out often and try new places. We are used to splurging. However, this place overpricing pizza and throwing some pistachios on a cannoli? If you want a pretty environment and don’t care about pizza then go here.
Never, never, never again due to their policy of requiring a credit card to make a reservation. I question if they are hurting financially.
