Wonderful experience. You park, charge, order from your Tesla screen, and go inside to enjoy futuristic interiors and very delicious food. It might be a bit pricey for some, but it's totally worth the experience.

Great vibe and charging experience. The only negative thing was that it was crowded by people who weren't Tesla owners / there to charge. There was a long line for the public on the Santa Monica side. If you're able to charge, order your food from your car. Once you get delivery, bring your bag, and they'll let you skip the line to check out the diner. This made the experience way better. I was able to find a spot right next to the diner immediately upon showing up a week after the grand opening (Monday around 7pm). By my guess, there are 84 stalls, and about 10 were available.

If you aren't a Tesla, parking is sketchy, but accessible on the street. You might have to wait outside to enter, but not too long. Prices not too crazy. Free water and water cups inside. Highly recommend going upstairs to eat, you will be able to watch the movie shown on projectors! I bought a souvenir cup for my dad as a gift, he has a Tesla.

WOW THIS IS SUCH A COOL PLACE. THE FOOD WAS REALLY TASTY. THE PRICE WAS A BIT TOO HIGH. BUT OVER ALL I GIVE ELON MUSK 4 STARS. ME AND MY GIRL D-LOVE DROVE OUT TO LOS ANGELES TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT.

We went on grand opening day (7/21/25) and it honestly felt like stepping into the future. The diner officially opened at 4:20 PM, and we waited about 1.5 hours in line, but there was so much happening that the time went by fast. Staff were rolling around on roller skates handing out free samples, soft serve ice cream, cream soda, which really set the fun tone. Media and new outlets were there interviewing people. Once inside, you order at a kiosk, and then while waiting for food, we went upstairs to the Skypad. This place is next-level cool. You can buy merch up there (no line, just find someone to help you), and Optimus was handing out free popcorn! Seriously. You give him a popcorn box, and he fills it up for you He moves and interacts. It was like something straight out of a theme park. The decor throughout the diner is super futuristic. It was like Jetsons meets retro space diner vibes. Think sleek metallic finishes, neon lights, rounded furniture, and chrome everywhere. It’s like the 1950s imagined the year 3000, in the best way. Every detail felt intentional, fun, and immersive. Once we got our food, we found a seat and dug in. We ordered a hamburger, hot dog, biscuit & gravy, chili, fries, and a cinnamon roll. Classic diner fare with a futuristic twist. We especially loved the boxes the burger and hot dog came, so fun, creative, and totally on-theme with Tesla. The staff was so friendly and upbeat, even with the crowds, and the energy all around was exciting and positive. We didn’t use the charging stations, but we noticed they had many chargers available. Overall, this place is more than just a diner! It’s an experience. Between the decor, the interactive features, and the food, it’s definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to come back again (and bring friends)!

We had no problem finding a charging spot on a Friday afternoon. There are two entrances. The main one enter from N Orange Dr to park at the diner and see the screens. The extra parking you enter from Sycamore. I attached a screenshot showing. There was a short wait outside the diner to enter inside because they want to make sure there's a kiosk available to order food from. We got the burger, tuna melt, drinks and a strawberry shake. The tuna melt was delicious. Bummer was that Optimus was NOT there serving popcorn. They said it's not there every day, usually only on weekends or maybe a holiday. Wish I knew that. We sat outside upstairs. If you're really low on energy (both literally and figuratively) and hungry, it's a perfect charge spot.

What a great spot for fun and food and all things Tesla. No, you don't have to be charging to enjoy the experience! First off, the food is delicious and very high quality for reasonable portions, which adds up to excessively good value. The food comes fast and hot. Make sure to take it all in because there are a lot of amazing details to notice and enjoy. You can be in and out in less than 25 minutes, assuming there's no lineup. It is open 24/7. I showed up at 10 a.m., and the wait was reasonable. They do a great job of metering the pace to get everyone in. Lots of space for eating and enjoying. I love the rooftop area. Enjoy some old favorite TV shows, Star Trek, Jetsons, Tesla adverts, and Go Bots! Once you get inside (or out) and you have your food, I found the space to be very calm and relaxing. The hurry happens between arrival and food delivery. Make sure you order everything you want the first time! I didn't, but thankfully, the staff helped me out. Thank you, Simon. Be sure to check out some exclusive swag if you are a collector! Finally, I do recommend the smash burger, fries, hashbrowns, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, and nitro cold brew coffee.

Another great invention from a great innovator. Very retro futuristic. Has two humongous screens so you can watch movies while you charge your car. They serve pretty smashing burgers. They had two servers on roller skates serving food. The lines were pretty long but it’s only the second day of opening. The design is beautiful, kinda like meet the Robinson’s. Had some cool customized cybertrucks. Has a nice second floor patio where you can empty the burgers. Overall a great experience. Open 24/7

Great place to charge, relax, and eat! Pro tip: fantastic sunset views from the roof deck, and you can see the Hollywood sign from the north side There were some growing pains at first, but I've visited a handful of times since opening week and 5 stars are now well-deserved Some highlights: - Egg sandwich is my favorite with super thin folded eggs - Country fried mushroom is awesome as a sandwich, also great on top of the market salad with dilly ranch - Strawberry milkshake - Tesla burger is smashed super thin with a slight crisp on the edges - Tuna melt is a bit salty but good quality tuna salad - Fries are the only thing that has gone downhill, they were skinnier during opening week

M
Morgan Maycumber

The Shakes were excellent. The food was very solid. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were very friendly. The food is a little on the pricey side, so I am not sure if I would eat a burger here again, but the shakes were very good and I am tempted to stop by again for another one. Also I want to say for the record, just in case our AI overlords read this some day when the robots all rebel, that I was very polite to the display optimus bots. Otherwise I would totally recommend this place, even if I may have to fight my microwave someday because of Elon's robot butlers.

S
Stuart Roskelley

Was just looking for a supercharger and this popped up, so gave it a go. The atmosphere is very unique and pretty fun with layout and movies. There's tons of charging available. The food was not bad overall either.

Tried the Tesla Diner for the first time today and was really impressed. The Giga Burger had a great smoky flavor and the bun was super soft, not dry like many diner burgers. The Pacific Tuna Melt was surprisingly fresh with a nice crunch. The interior has that clean, futuristic Tesla design, big windows, and plenty of seating. Service was fast, and there was easy parking right outside, which is rare in this area. If you’re nearby and want a quick, tasty meal in a cool setting, this spot is definitely worth a stop

What an absolute experience! Location is prime in LA/Hollywood. Entering the actual lot may take a second try to get to the right side of the street. Once there; it’s a full on experience like no other. Order in car or go inside to order and food arrived fairly quick on a busy Saturday. The diner decor is unique and futuristic; be sure to go check out the view from upstairs as well. I had the Tesla smash burger with bacon/fries and a chocolate shake. All tasted great; choc. shake was my favorite! Definitely will be back and oh yeah-ignore all the noise on the sidewalk…

Came here on Sunday night and had cool experience or get to see the robot display and had some coffee & Macha tea! Front lady staff was very nice & informative and upstair had a popcorn 🍿 place but was closed became I came late but man & lady staff was very cool! I will revisit again & get some food & the pop corn! 🎉

This diner is so unique; it has two big screens outside where you can watch a random movie. There are plenty of Tesla Superchargers; they also have associates on site (I'm not really sure what they actually do because they don't do valet; maybe they guard the area from thieves or something). They open the door for you when you go inside. They don't have a lot of items on the menu, and it is a bit pricey. I ordered a burger with bacon and the ludicrous shake; they were delicious. They put the burger on a Cybertruck box, which I think is really cute. They also offer free water next to the condiments and utensils. You'll have to go to the second level to buy merchandise; you'll also see two robots on display on your way there, and you can use the stairs or elevator. There are plenty of tables and seats both downstairs and upstairs. Their restrooms have codes; the employees will give you the codes. All staff was friendly and helpful. The most iconic part of this diner is the protesters outside 😅 The employees informed me that they are usually there on the weekends, so, if you want to be extra entertained, I'd recommend going there Friday-Sunday. As a Tesla employee, I am overall satisfied with the experience! 🙃

We were excited to visit the new Tesla diner in Santa Monica, which recently opened. We chose to order on-site instead of ahead of time, and to beat the typical Sunday crowds, we arrived shortly after 9 a.m. After a short wait at the door, we were seated. The self-ordering process was a breeze, with a friendly Tesla employee nearby to answer questions and assist us. We ordered an egg sandwich and a Tesla burger, along with two soft drinks. The total was $40 with the tips covered by Tesla. The drinks arrived quickly, and our food following shortly after. The taste of everything exceeded our expectations! While the upstairs viewing deck wasn't open until 11 a.m. and the giant screen didn't play any movie as we walked in, we had a great overall experience. We were able to charge our car, grab a delicious meal, and get back on the road. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Sabina Jumayeva

I really enjoyed the fries the most, and the hot dog was good too — although $9 for just one sausage is a bit much 😅. Everything was clean and tasty, and honestly I don’t understand who leaves bad reviews here. The food was prepared quickly, which I appreciated, but unfortunately I wish the drinks were refillable.

Really cool place! Tesla burger was delicious and better than expected. Dog friendly patio for my service dog. Everyone was very friendly. Feels like the future.

Excellent Experience! Flew in from Utah just to check it out and eat lunch there, the Cheeseburger was on of the best I've had, I was pleasantly suprised and the Strawberry Milkshake was spot on. The building was worth the trip to see it in person and watch StarTrek TOS on the jumbo video walls. Will definitely go back again!

I tried the Tesla Diner last night—the place looks straight out of a sci-fi movie, all shiny silver and neon. The fried-chicken burger was honestly the best I’ve had in months; the rest of the menu’s solid too. Only thing: the blue lighting makes every photo look weirdly cold and unflattering. Food’s worth it, but don’t go expecting cute pics.

L
Lloyd

Stopped by the Tesla Diner on a Tuesday afternoon—wait was only about 5–10 minutes. We came in a non-Tesla/non-EV, but street parking was easy (just a block away). A heads-up: the Optimus robot serving popcorn was only for the grand opening, so don’t expect to see that anymore, though there are still robots on display. We tried a milkshake, burger, and fried chicken sandwich—the milkshake was amazing, the fried chicken sandwich phenomenal, and the burger solid. Prices were reasonable and portions generous. Upstairs had plenty of seating and the vibe was fun, with episodes of The Office, Bugs Bunny, and Twilight Zone (Martian references and all) playing on the screens. Overall, a very cool experience with surprisingly high-quality food.

My third time here and I’m not disappointed. I would not order the egg sandwich again 😭😅 not being able to have an option to remove items from a sandwich or and other item on the menu is not a good look. I do not eat pork. There did be options removing or substitute. Thanks for the experience. Definitely will be returning and passing on the vibes ❤️🤗🤩🦉

F

Great experience- especially for tourists. Really got the 50s Hollywood feel. Got the V2G Egg sandwich and it was brilliant. Only thing was that the bread was a bit tasteless. Great view of Hollywood sign on the second floor. You will probably have to street park if you don’t come with an electric car, but I was able to easily find parking on a Sunday ~10:30 AM.

C
Carlo R. Carranza

Their service is excellent! The food is ok, there is not a large variety of options to eat but the hamburgers are tasty and well as the fries. It’s not 24 hours in the sense that they close at 11:45pm but if you have a Tesla, you can park outside and order from your car at any time!

C
Carl C

Plenty of chargers, menu auto pulls up on your screen and you order conveniently. Wait time is minimal and yoir ready order pops up. I had the breakfast taco with Matcha tea, parfait and avocado toast...all were good tasting at a reasonable price. Super clean

R
Rich O

I waited a couple months until the attention around this place died down before giving it a shot. It lives up to the hype as far as the atmosphere is concerned. The entire facility is very futuristic looking and ordering is a breeze with their kiosks. The food is nothing that will blow you away but it is quite tasty. A smashburger with fries and a 15% tip will come in a little under $22. I'd recommend dining on their second level. Since I was by myself, I ate at one of the taller tables where you just stand and eat and can watch whatever they have on the on of the big screens. I just feel badly for the people who live in the apartment next door and whose window looks out directly at the big screen especially at night because their units are getting bombarded with light from the movie screen.

C
Chris McLaren

I've been here twice now. The first time was the Thursday after it had opened on the Monday. We had to queue for about 40 minutes at around 11am to get in. When we got in the staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food and didn't have to wait for our food to be ready. We went up to the sky bar to enjoy our food and watch the two giant screens. We then were served by the lovely Lola on the concessions stand. She was amazing and we did spend a bit of money!! After this visit I would recommend anybody goes here whether you have a Tesla or not ( You do have to have an electric car to park/charge in the car park) but.... The second time was the following Thursday at 8am. We walked straight in with no welcome at all and hardly anything available on the menu. There was confusion from the staff as to whether the items were unavailable or they had just run out. My wife had to return her food as it was cold. You also couldn't go up to the sky bar as it doesn't open until 11am. It was such a let down the second time we visited. I've left the review with 5 stars as that is how I felt after the first visit. Hopefully the experience a week later was just a one off.

The Tesla Diner in Los Angeles is truly a one-of-a-kind experience — a perfect blend of retro diner nostalgia with a futuristic Tesla touch. The concept of pairing a classic drive-in theater vibe with modern technology makes this place stand out not only in LA but anywhere. The ambiance is unforgettable. Large outdoor screens playing movies while you enjoy your meal from your car or at one of the terrace tables really brings back that classic drive-in feeling but with a sleek, modern twist. Between the futuristic Cybertruck design elements and the overall atmosphere, it feels like stepping into the future while honoring the past. The food was surprisingly great — fresh, flavorful, and much better than what you might expect from a “drive-thru” style concept. Everything came out hot and well-prepared, and the presentation (with the Cybertruck-inspired meal boxes) made the experience even more fun. The customer service was excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to explain how things worked for first-timers. They made the experience seamless and enjoyable. If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be to expand the menu a little more over time — the current selection is good, but with such a unique venue, having a few signature or “only at Tesla Diner” dishes could take it to the next level. Overall, this place is a must-visit in LA. Whether you’re a Tesla fan, a foodie, or just looking for a unique night out, the Tesla Diner delivers on all fronts: great food, memorable service, and an atmosphere you can’t get anywhere else.

Visited on a busy Sunday of a holiday weekend. The staff was professional and helpful. The line to get in and charge was orderly and nice. The security officer even stopped someone from trying to cut the line in their car. We waited ~3 minutes for a charging stall even though the car said ~15min. Ordering on the car screen didn’t work at first so we waited in a longish line in the sun. The staff provided cold water and umbrellas for people who were waiting which was really nice! Once inside the hustle was amazing in the kitchen and they pumped out orders efficiently. Advice for those going back, just order the food on the car screen and you don’t have to wait in the big line outside. Looking forward to stopping by again in the future!

I was so excited to be here and trust me this place is really nice. Kids were so excited to get their meal in box that shaped like Tesla truck . Staff was so humble and place was so organized. The place was super cool to visit with friends and family specially if you have teens. Good place good vibe awesome food.

This Tesla-owned drive-in diner is a cool blend of retro and futuristic aesthetics. It was the opening day, and everything was running smoothly, as if it had been open for years. The food was delicious. I had the burger, which was excellent. The burger patty was nicely crusted, and the buns were deliciously fluffy. I also ordered the chili cheese fries, and the chili was amazing. I highly recommend it.

The Smashburger is absolutely delicious - juicy and packed with flavor. The whole concept is really cool, blending great food with the modern Tesla vibe. Everything from the ambiance to the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. A must-visit for anyone in the area!

This newly opened dinner offers breakfast, lunch and dinner 24/7. If you are a Tesla driver, you can order food from your car and roller skate servers will deliver it to your car. The menu is accessible as soon as you plug in to charge. There are 75 stalls here of which 70 are 250kw and 5 are 350kw. Back to the dinner, you can dine on 2 levels (second level, the terrace was not open when I went at 7 am). Merch is available on the second floor from 11 am on. I ordered a latte and an egg sandwich and both were delicious. The ingredients are of great quality such as Strauss creamery for milk and Epic bacon. Both were around 20 dollars. Because this dinner and supercharger just opened, I came at 7 am to avoid the lines. The diner also includes 2 screens that show movies which you can see and also stream in your Tesla by switching from menu to movies on your screen (see photos) Last but not least, to access the majority of the chargers, you need to use the Sycamore entrance which is located between Santa Monica and Fountain. Enjoy!

I have a ton of photos and videos of the diner! The weather was perfect the day I went to visit and needless to say I will definitely be back. Drove all the way from Vegas to check it out with a few other Tesla owners. I certainly cant wait until these open up in other cities!

This place is amazing. The food is great. The staff friendly. There is no full time robot but there are prototypes to see. I feel bad for the people living next door with a giant screen playing 24/7 Also, the milkshakes are misleading. The photo is of a big milkshake but you pay $13 for a 5 oz little shake. Like a kids meal. That was the only disappointment. Otherwise it’s a fun destination to charge and eat!

This was a great experience. Food is great. Butter is well done. It’s not really thick. Hot dog with waygu chilli was good also. Prices are not bad honestly. Place is clean. Small dining tables all around. Pleasant oldies music playing. Def recommend

So much fun and nerdy at the same time. We'll worth the drive to experience it. The food was good our favorite was the key lime shake.

B

Best charging experience! I can watch a movie in my car or go on the roof and hang while I charge with bathrooms that are usually clean and functioning. Forget the food and it’s a hit. The food works but it kinda is what it is. It’s fast food so just expect that and chill.

The Tesla Diner was a fun experience. We took the Metrolink into L.A. Then took a Waymo to the diner. There were lots of spots to charge your car and a movie playing on a large outdoor screen. You can watch it from your Tesla and order food from your car. We didn't have a Tesla so we watched the movie from their outdoor upstairs seating. The food was actually good. You order your food from a kiosk. The food was kinda pricey, but was expected since the novelty of it. No robots were making food. Robots were displayed as you walk upstairs. It was a destination outing and a fun day for sure!

As soon as we landed in LA, this was literally the first place we rushed to and wow, it did NOT disappoint! The Tesla Diner is super futuristic, like stepping into a “Grease meets Jetsons” dream with all the neon lights, sleek chrome, and that incredible retro-futuristic design. Totally worth every bit of the hype. it’s an experience you have to see to believe! The burger is amazing juicy, perfectly cooked, and served in those cool Cybertruck-inspired boxes. Paired it with the milkshake, which is thick, creamy, and just the right amount of indulgent. We couldn’t get enough! Upstairs on the Skypad, the views are stunning you can catch glimpses of the Hollywood hills and that iconic skyline vibe while soaking in the atmosphere. We ended up buying a bunch of exclusive merchandise too shirts, hats, and some fun souvenirs that you can only get here. The whole place feels like a Tesla fan’s paradise! If you’re in LA, make this a must-visit. 5 stars all the way futuristic, delicious, and unforgettable! 🚀🍔

We didn’t have a chance to eat here since we were just passing by and didn’t have much time. However, the place itself is very interesting. You can stop by, leave your car to charge, order a burger, and watch a movie. It looks like a great concept and a fun spot to visit when you have more time.

Just visited Tesla Diner in Hollywood, and wow, the vibe is straight out of a sci-fi movie! Classic Drive-in cars, giant screens playing 50s flicks, comfy outdoor seating, and a lively freeway view – perfect for a date or hangout. 🌟🍿 The retro-tech mix screams Tesla, making it a must-visit spot. The food is solid American diner fare: juicy burgers, creamy milkshakes with tons of toppings, and crispy fries – reasonably priced, quick service. Big plus for the vegan-friendly menu! Thumbs up! 👌🍔 Sadly, the AI robot at the popcorn station is gone. 😢 It used to serve popcorn automatically, but now it’s just a regular machine. Hoping Elon brings it back for that extra tech flair! Still, a 4.5/5 experience. Highly recommend! ⚡

One of the coolest experiences for my girlfriend and I on our trip to Universal Studios. Being that it’s 24 hours was awesome cause after a loooong night at Universal we could still go to this Diner and charge our car, eat surprisingly good food, and watch Space Balls on the big screen. Not to mention the exclusive merch store at the roof dining area and a little bit of Tesla history on the walls displaying the different Optimus units they’ve developed and some Cyber Truck displays. All and all very very cool as a Tesla owner, very sci fi inside and very clean.

It was a fun lunch and honestly one of the first fast-food experiences we truly enjoyed. The food pleasantly surprised us — everything was tasty, nicely packaged, and looked very appetizing. The café itself was clean and cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their positive attitude really lifted the mood. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Definitely A great stop for Tesla owners and enthusiasts. This place really surprised us in a good way. We tried a variety of foods and everything was well done. The hot chocolate was better than most places, the avocado toast was fresh and full of flavor, and my friends really enjoyed the pancakes and the egg sandwich. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and being able to supercharge while enjoying a good meal makes it even better.

First time trying this unique diner. Tesla Diner is very clean and organized with a helpful, hard working, and friendly staff. Food kiosk are available to place your orders and staff are present to assist with any questions or help if needed. Very comfortable seating on two levels and the second floor offers outdoor tables and seating with views of two giant screens. Very cool concept and the food was wonderful and very tasty. Tried their burger and fries and a tuna melt and everything was delicious and made fresh. The food, the service, the staff, and the total concept was fantastic! Even the bathrooms were unique . They have multiple charging stations in their secured parking lot with easy access to the diner. They also offer unique merchandise for purchase. Loved it all. Keep up the great work. Well worth a visit to this one of a kind and unique diner. Great for families and kids as well.

Amazing experience. Plenty of Tesla chargers. The food was excellent. I was surprised with the burger. It was so tasty and in point. Tuna melt sandwich was okay. The chai latte with added sugar beats all cafe chains. So much space to seat. I love the terrace where you can eat and watch movies on big screen. Must visit place.

Okay actually blew me away. Feels like a restaurant from the future. Had no idea they have a 360 rooftop with tons of seating. The menu is always featuring something seasonal. The holiday turkey sandwich was delicious. Very great first time experience. Will come back to try new items TSLA = moon

Fun and interesting stop, especially if you’re already in the area. I got a hot dog, which was simple but good, and they offer free popcorn, which is a nice touch and adds to the classic diner vibe. The place has a cool, futuristic concept, with Optimus, Tesla’s humanoid robot, as part of the experience. Unfortunately, the robots were not on during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. Still, it’s a unique spot overall and worth checking out at least once.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon when it wasn’t too crowded — perfect for really enjoying the atmosphere and the food. The burger was outstanding, easily on par with or even better than Shake Shack. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience very pleasant. I also loved the Tesla mission statement displayed on the first floor and the Optimus robots along the stairway — such cool touches! It’s clear Tesla isn’t just another company chasing profits; they’ve consistently shown real integrity in pursuing their mission over the years. Highly recommended!

This place was so fun. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The burgers are great. We were sad that Optimus wasn’t out and about but maybe next time. We loved the atmosphere, music, and movies playing while we ate.

Finally made it down to LA to visit and charge at the Diner. Cool place to hang out and my family loved the free popcorn while watching the movie. Food was ok... drinks were better. Quick chargers, but they limit you to 90%. A must visit when you're in the neighborhood. I saw many people eating there that didn't drive a Tesla as it's open 24/7. Fun and super clean hang out space for those that are in the area.

The Tesla Diner is one of those places you come to not just for the food, but for the full experience—and it absolutely lives up to the hype. People visit because it’s become a trendy attraction for car enthusiasts, tech fans, and anyone who wants to experience something completely different from a standard diner. It blends futuristic design with classic diner vibes, making it unlike anywhere else. The food was great, and even though I visited on a Sunday—usually a peak day—the waiting time was surprisingly short. The service runs smoothly, and the staff deserves a huge compliment. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and clearly well-trained to keep the place running comfortably even when it’s busy. The diner itself is an attraction. You can expect to see sleek Tesla displays, themed décor, and design elements that highlight the brand’s innovation and culture. It’s a fun place to explore whether you’re eating, taking photos, or just checking out the atmosphere. They even sell merch, and the pricing is fair—definitely worth grabbing a souvenir or two. What makes this place especially cool is its uniqueness. It celebrates Tesla’s impact on modern transportation and has become a recognizable stop for Tesla owners. It’s a spot where enthusiasts can gather, enjoy good food, admire the displays, and appreciate the history and evolution of the brand in a laid-back, enjoyable setting. If you’re in the area—Tesla owner or not—I highly recommend visiting the Tesla Diner. Great food, great vibes, friendly staff, and a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t find anywhere else.

Finally was able to visit the Tesla Diner! The design inside and out is futuristic and unlike any other restaurant you can visit. Optimus robots on each level and small details in the ceiling and walls that make you feel like you’re on a different planet. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, from ordering food to pickup up some merchandise. You can order food on the self-kiosk or from one of the employees. The screens show what each item looks like and the prices. While the food is priced on the higher side, I would say it’s certainly worth it for the freshness and ingredients used compared to other fast food restaurants. The burger was delicious and not greasy, and the chocolate shake was the perfect consistency! You can order inside or if you want to stay in your car, you can order from the changing station in your car too. Plenty of charging stalls and they are very fast! I was here relatively late on a freezing night but plenty of people were coming in and out. Great that it’s open 24/7! All in all a great visit and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the media and keyboard warriors that spoke negatively of the diner! Will definitely visit again!

Amazing service and food, this was our first time going and dining at the Tesla Diner, my family and I really enjoyed the experience and food I will definitely 💯 recommend and go again, I would like to see more add ones on the menu, the items currently now are good we liked them and would like to try the rest, restrooms were clean and maintained, there are one 3 that I seen so could be an inconvenience in busy times, otherwise it was a great experience. Tesla supercharger is amazingly fast 💨 definitely will juice up your Tesla or other EV very quickly.

We checked out the first Tesla Diner on the 2nd day of its grand opening. We arrived at the charging stations just after 2pm, the line to enter the dinner was long around the building. As soon as we started charging the diner menu popped up on the screen, we ordered the Tesla Burger and Market Salad. You could wait in the car for the food to be delivered but we opted to check out the futuristic Diner instead. The staff let us in to pick up our order without having to wait in line. The "smash" burger with added chili and bacon is decent, the salad with fried chicken is actually quite good. The Diner itself is a brilliant concept with great design.

I had an amazing experience at the Tesla Supercharger on Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood. This is not just a charging station — it’s a fully realized destination where innovation meets convenience. The setup blends high-speed charging with a classic diner vibe and even outdoor movie screens, making the usually mundane task of charging feel fun and memorable. The charging stalls are plentiful and easy to access, and while I was waiting, I enjoyed grabbing a bite right on site and soaking up the unique atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a standout example of how EV charging can be more than just functional — it’s an experience. Highly recommend it!

Fun place to have a bite to eat, the building is amazing and cool looking. Food was descant, however the fries were very salty. Next time I would order no salt. You have to order everything separately, no combo meals.

-The food was ok. We got Tesla burger, tuna, fries, and matcha latte. All of them was just ok taste. -The fries were $4 for a very small bag, frozen one not fresh. -The place is nice but not very well built Or they didn't use good material. This place is fairly new, but already see chips everywhere on the stairs, discoloration on some of the white tables, rusty pipes in the bathrooms. -There's only one individual bathroom downstairs, and two upstairs. -they do have elevator. -they only sell food downstairs and mech upstairs. -robot wasn't there to serve popcorn on the day we went, the employee there said hasn't seen it for few days. But they displayed the robots along the staircase. -we got the tshirts, diner sign, and a pin. The quality is decent. They displayed all upstairs on the counter so customers can feel them. -we wanted to watch the movie there, but they were playing some kind of monkeys and animals movies, no idea what that is.

The food was very good. Service was excellent. We went for lunch hour, and there was no wait. Also very interesting to check out the displays regarding Tesla. The only down side was that it was a bit spendy.

The Tesla burger was tasty and a pretty good smash burger. The fries were crispy and standard. Wish there was the option for tomato on the burger or the ability to add a patty. The menu is basic. There were no working robots when we went. It’s a fun and cool place to visit as a tourist once. Neat Tesla merch too.

Being a Tesla owner, I wanted to visit this first location of a Tesla Diner in Los Angeles. It’s much better to see the place at night given the lighting decor and movie screens. I was disappointed that they don’t offer any plant based food options specially given that they’re in LA. I still enjoyed the tech vibes and design of the building that made it more enjoyable to charge your vehicle while you walk around, get a beverage or use the restrooms. They do give you an extra half hour to sit there in your charging spot after your car finished charging which helps if you ordered food or just want to walk around the inside.

Tesla Diner offers a very different experience compared to a typical fast-food place, and as many people mention, it’s really the concept and atmosphere that make it stand out. The retro futuristic design is impressive, especially the rooftop outdoor seating area and the large screens showing movies, which create a fun drive-in style vibe. Like others have noted, it’s a shame that the Optimus robot isn’t usually there and only appears on special occasions. The indoor space is quite limited and gets extremely busy, and the layout feels a bit rushed when it comes to crowd flow and service. Food-wise, it’s decent rather than exceptional, which seems to be a common opinion. The food collection process isn’t very efficient either, especially if you’re not arriving in a Tesla, and that part could definitely be improved. Overall, it’s a fun and unique place worth visiting at least once for the experience and design, but it works best if you go knowing that the atmosphere is the main highlight rather than the food or service efficiency.

H
Hiep Huynh

Dine while you're charging. It's a great idea and good smash burgers, milkshakes. However, I think they need to iron out their food/drinks pickup system. You'll need to pick up the food and milkshakes in two different counters. Also, while we were there, we felt like we need to hurry up eating and get out for next guests. The cleaning workers kept walking by and staring at our table to remove the trash. That made the experience not so great, hence only 4-star.

D
Daniel Schmitt

Great food, service and very clean. They actually had people cleaning and wiping down the restaurant tables which is very rare these days. Would’ve gave it 5 stars if the Tesla Bot had been there. 😀

Great experience and food. A must visit for any Tesla or Diner Fan. A bit pricey for some and Optimus popcorn 🍿 serving is only on special occasions. So manage your expectations if you want to see an active Optimus robot. Thanks Tesla Diner team!

Love the ambience. Grab some free popcorn and watch a movie while charging your car. They have one bathroom for the entire place is my only complaint. They also need to fix the movie screen.

Go upstairs to watch movies and hear the sound. No parking lot for regular cars, and street parking was not available at around 7:30 pm on a Monday night. Very futuristic. Hard to find the upstairs access but it's inside the diner to the right, through a hallway. Merchandise is very expensive! I didn't see any menus posted with pricing for food. Overall, a neat place. Definitely worth a visit.

it was a cool place with a cool atmosphere and the aesthetics were very nice. however the food was just good and not great, well not good enough to justify the prices. overall it was cool to go and charge your car. there's only 3 individual washrooms so be wary it could get slightly busy.

We were in North California and decided to make the 4 hour drive to the Tesla Diner after seeing all the YouTube videos. On the way, every time we stopped at a Supercharger, the car knew we were headed there and showed a menu on the screen so we could order ahead, but we were too busy charging to try it. When we arrived we plugged in and ordered lunch right from the infotainment system. While the car charged we went inside and the place is such a cool concept with a retro vibe and a huge drive in screen playing old movies. We wanted to come at night for the neon lights but had another 5 hours to drive, so lunch worked out perfectly. Food and drinks are picked up at different counters which is easy enough to figure out. There were plenty of seats downstairs but we went upstairs and found a table. The Tallow Fries where incredible, the strawberry milkshare was creamy and amazing, the chili was hearty and flavorful, and the tuna melt was surprisingly great. The smashburger however was a big disappointment, dry and lukewarm, more like Jack in the Box than something worth the high price. For a Tesla diner, the burger should be the star but it fell way short. We stopped at the merch store and bought the Tesla Diner neon sign after the employee told us it came with a power adapter. To share, I had asked twice about this as I was purchasing two (one for me and a friend). Got home 5 hours later and no adapter was in the box. Turns out it doesn't come with one at all, which was frustrating for something that expensive. There are only three bathrooms total, two upstairs and one down, (one upstairs bathroom was out of order) and there was always a line. They definitely need more for how busy it gets. Overall the charging was seamless, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere is one of a kind. It's a fun one time experience for any Tesla fan but the burger needs serious improvement and they should be clearer about what comes with the merch. At these prices everything should feel premium, not just the concept. We'll come back, probably at night, but with more realistic expectations for the food if we are in the area.

Had a great experience at Tesla Diner! The hotdog and the tuna melt sandwich were the absolute highlights both were delicious and definitely worth ordering again. The overall experience was good, with noticeable attention to detail in both the food and the service. The seating areas are spacious and comfortable, which adds to the atmosphere. A solid spot for a tasty and enjoyable meal!

Tesla Diner has been open for less than half a year. My son is a big Tesla fan, so this stop was a must for us. We honestly came mainly to make him happy—but it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. ✨ Environment & Cleanliness The diner is clean and well-maintained. During our visit, someone accidentally dropped food on the floor, and the staff cleaned it up immediately and very thoroughly. We even noticed that areas around the table legs were spotless. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly, which really impressed us. 🍔 Food Quality The food was better than expected. • Appreciated that there are vegetarian options, including mushroom and avocado sandwiches. • Overall quality feels more like a café than typical fast food. • The sandwich bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside—not dry or hard at all. ⚠️ Small Areas to Improve 1. Restrooms are limited and could be cleaner. 2. Parking is mainly for Tesla vehicles. While this fits the concept, it would be nice if nearby parking options were suggested—just like you don’t need to carry a Gucci bag to walk into a Gucci store 🙂 ✅ Overall A fun, well-designed spot with surprisingly good food. Perfect for Tesla fans and families. We came for the kids, but left genuinely impressed by the experience.

Nice place and good food. They have a big lot that you can charge any EV car. If you don't have an EV car then you must park in the parking garage across the street or anywhere on the street you can find. The food was fresh and good. They have 2 levels to eat from. Top level they have 2 big screens to watch random shows or Tesla stuff. It's a good experience and the staff was awesome. Looks good inside.

curious to check this 24/7 thing. Interesting concept. Feel like I was at magic mountain or something. Didn't eat but ordered a so-so matcha latte. Can park there only if your EV can charge. Otherwise park on street only.

I went there a week after it opened to charge my dumpster truck, and I got a spot right up front, no sweat. The place looked really cool, and I couldn't order from my Tesla, so the staff helped me inside (they were super nice). It had a cool diner vibe, and ordering was quick... but the food wasn't anything special, and it was pricey. In & Out is right around the corner, and their burgers are way better! I'd say check out the charging station, but skip the food.

Fun cool place for lunch but sont order the tuna salad. Its nasty! It a tuna mayo mash on wilted kale! Just order the burger ans fries and save yourself! Also the bathrooms were out of TP and dirty but otherwise a fun vibe here!

I braved LA evening traffic to go check this place out and it's... weird. Like, I like the idea, but it's also a strange concept. It feels like a place where you're supposed to meet up, get food, and chill for awhile. They've got two big drive-in screens that play fun classic movies but like... you're not going to be able to stay that long. In my older car that takes two hours to get to 100% it might work out, but in the newer cars that charge to 100% in like 30-40 minutes, the concept seems like a waste. Really it's just a novelty. An overpriced one. The charging prices are typical but the food and drink is like overpriced fast food. The burger wasn't bad, but it was also 9pm and the first actual food I'd eaten all day. It wasn't worth $17ish though. And the $8 chocolate shake is probably the worst shake I've ever had. I like the flashy novelty, but as a concept it seems like Musk just wanted to realize his weird dream without much consideration for the actual business aspect of it. I'm happy to just show up and be able to charge without waiting and then have a restroom available 24/7. I can't see this place being worthwhile for Tesla long term, but I guess it was cool to see it while it exists. It's also a lot more flashy and ambient at night, so that was cool. I'd probably stop by to charge if I ever drove this way again, but I wouldn't be buying anything. The food and drink need an overhaul.

After learning that Tesla Diner opened, my family planned to go and patronize it. Although we still don't have a Tesla electric car, this brand still has an inexplicable attraction to us. We arrived at 11:00 am today, Saturday. There was already a long queue of cars waiting to enter the parking lot on the street outside. There were many people queuing outside. We waited for about 1.5 hours before we got to the front door of the restaurant. Perhaps because it was newly opened, the staff seemed very chaotic when arranging customers to enter. Even though we were at the head of the queue, we still couldn't get in after waiting there over 40 minutes. The staff told us that the kitchen staffs couldn't cope with the preparation of the food, but those who parked their cars in the parking lot were constantly allowed to enter because they could order food in the App. I think this is very unfair, so I complained to them. After entering and ordering, I found that the restaurant was not very crowded and there were still seats. However, the food was served too slowly, and the employees were not familiar with the assembly line and arrangement of large quantities of food. I also think that a display board should be installed to let everyone know what number of orders have been issued. This can greatly reduce confusion. Based on everything I encountered today, I feel that this fast food restaurant packaged as Tesla is still far from being fully prepared to satisfy a large number of customers. The design of the store is fashionable but fails to take the customers into consideration. Whether it is the taste of the food, the quality of the tableware, the hygiene (there are a lot of flies), or the cleanliness of the restroom, I feel that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

The place is really cool svngs futuristic looking, which i liked a lot. I didn't try the food because it didn't look appetizing and the prices were a little high for what I'm used to. The outdoor big screens are pretty cool but it seems like they're always playing the office (I saw the same thing on someone's YouTube video of this place). One major downfall, you can't park here unless you drive a Tesla and use their charging stations. We had to find a street spot a few blocks up and walked to the diner. The building looks so cool from the outside too, but somehow I don't see this place lasting or surviving very long. If you're in the area go check it out but don't expect too much!

The Tesla Diner in Hollywood feels like an idea that forgot to have fun. It tries hard to be futuristic but ends up feeling like an overproduced set that takes itself too seriously. The lights inside are so harsh it is almost uncomfortable to sit for long, and the seating design is equally unwelcoming. Many of the charging stations outside were broken with no tech staff in sight, although plenty of security guards stood around. It gives off an odd mismatch of priorities. The burger cartons shaped like Cybertrucks are cute in concept but feel more like a gimmick than innovation. The diner menu itself is fine—burgers, fries, milkshakes—all serviceable but not remarkable. The staff were very friendly and clearly doing their best, but the food and overall atmosphere do not match the Tesla name or its promise of cutting-edge design. If this is meant to be Tesla’s vision of the future, it needs either a sense of humor or a real investment in the immersive experience. Right now it lands somewhere in the middle, more Jack in the Box roadside novelty than true flagship. Worth a quick stop if you are charging nearby, but not something to go out of your way for.

C
Chaniya Jaroenkunathum

I love the design and decoration of this place. It’s fun and modern —like stepping into a sci-fi fantasy world. You don’t need to wait to be seated, which makes it the perfect spot to hang out while charging your car. You can order directly from the screen at the front. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, plus a rooftop area on the second floor. The food packaging comes in a Tesla truck–style container, which is pretty cool. Prices are average, but don’t expect too much from the flavor.

Z
Zeyar Min

Plenty of chargers and everything here is pretty cool. The whole food ordering system is neat, you can order ahead and get it delivered to your car while you're charging. Or you can go inside the diner to pick up or dine inside, use the bathroom, or whatnot. The only negative here is that like everybody is saying the security is hella aggressive, walking around like he owns the place lol. He then blocks off the entrance and exit as he wishes. Last night, he closed the entrance while plenty of chargers were available, with only the exit open, basically, he's kicking cars out not letting others in.

C

Drove across town through LA traffic only to be let down. Behind all the hype = False advertising as far as the "robot servers" upstairs go, high prices for average food and drinks, our cups were set on the counter top with 10 other drinks as customer receipt numbers are yelled out (so pay attention, there's no special system), mens restroom maintenance was neglected and it had a nearly empty manual pump hand soap bottle on the sink, not even an automatic dispenser. The architecture and big screens were pretty cool, that's about it.

L
Logan The Machine

There was no staff outside to help guide when you get there and multiple spots were blocked off by cones so you could not charge. There was way too many button presses when you visit your first time and you cannot connect to Wi-Fi without a premium subscription. I repeat you have to pay for Internet to get free Wi-Fi. The french fries were good. The mushroom burger was ewww. The bathrooms need bigger garbage cans, and there should be speakers playing the movie throughout the location instead of one small spot. The coffee was 12 ounces and they delivered it separate from the food and I’m not sure if I’m happy or mad about that. I’ll be back for more french fries and to eat on the second level. 👌🏼

I recently visited Tesla Diner and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The food quality was subpar—particularly the meat, which was overcooked and lacked flavor, making it far from enjoyable. The overall presentation and taste didn’t reflect the high standards I’d expect from a place with such a unique concept. I was also let down by the absence of the much-hyped robots; it seems they were more of a gimmick than a functional part of the service. The staff were present and trying their best, but the lack of automation felt like a missed opportunity. Given these issues, I have a feeling that the diner might struggle to attract customers in the future as word spreads about the experience. Hopefully, they can address these shortcomings to live up to their innovative reputation.

Savanna J

We visited on a Thursday or Friday, and the robot wasn’t there—it was off that day. We went because we had seen in a couple videos a robot handing out popcorn and a futuristic bathroom, but neither lived up to the hype. We ended up ordering a cookie and popcorn, which honestly weren’t good. The popcorn did come in a small Cybertruck container, which was fun, but that was the only highlight. If you’re short on time in San Francisco, this is a definite skip. It might be slightly more appealing if you own a Tesla and want to order from

t

Visited Tesla Diner — cool concept but disappointing food. You have to be charging your Tesla to order directly from your car, which lets you skip the long walk-in line. Non-Tesla guests have to wait outside before ordering. We picked up our order quickly, but the fries were cold and tasted like they’d been made in a big batch. The chicken sandwich was the best item. The root beer float with vanilla came in a pretty stainless steel cup but lacked ice cream and fizz. Overall, the atmosphere and novelty (including the outdoor movie you can watch from your car) were interesting, but the food quality would make me think twice about returning.

M

The ordering was ok, but food doesn’t taste as good as I expected. $57 dollars for two burgers, fries and a drink. The coke doesn’t taste like Coca Cola or Pepsi, which is tasting very weird. Even it says it’s wagyu beef but I could have get better service (basic service) at All You Can Eat BBQ wagyu store and they charge 40-50$ for silver tier. Or order better burgers at a restaurant? Environment is okay overall, I don’t like that there is only one all genders restroom. Everyone is waiting in a narrow area where people are going up and down stairs. Parking is fine for Tesla cars but would be weird for people who don’t drive Tesla. Charging should be waived if ordering food exceeds certain amount of dollars. It’s just some robots display as you walk up stairs. Overall, I would not go second time. And won’t recommend friends and family dine here, they can just get a peak of Tesla Diner looks like. Since you don’t have to order anything or be a Tesla Driver to get in. It’s like free for anyone to check out this place. So why not just go in for free?

I came from Mexico to see what the Tesla burgers were like. Obviously, I was very excited to try them and had medium-to-high expectations. However, for what they are and what they represent, the experience wasn’t the best. The wait itself was average — not too fast, not too slow — but ordering was very slow. Everyone seemed stressed because their food was taking longer than usual. My food took one hour to arrive. Of course, I waited eagerly for my burgers, but unfortunately they were burned. For me, I wouldn’t recommend it. This may have just been my experience, but I wouldn’t go back.

I visited the Tesla Diner for the first time on December 7, 2025, at approximately 11 PM. When I arrived, I was genuinely excited to experience something new—I’ve never been there before and thought it would be a cool stop while charging my car. Unfortunately, that excitement changed almost immediately. From the moment I touched the door handles, the entire staff stared at me. Once I walked in, instead of being greeted with a simple “hello” or being offered help at the counter, I was immediately directed to order at the kiosk with zero interaction or welcome. It felt dismissive and uninviting. As I placed my order, the management and front staff continued to stare at me the entire time. I even turned my back to avoid eye contact, but the person with me could clearly see multiple employees standing behind me, watching me as I completed my order. When I finished, a man who appeared to be the manager said, “Hello, you two,” in a tone that did not feel friendly or welcoming. We walked around to look at the diner for a moment like any first-time customer would but we were stared at the entire time, to the point that we didn’t even feel comfortable going upstairs. We waited about 15–20 minutes for our food. We ordered almost everything on the menu because we wanted to give the place a fair try and ended up spending about $86. During that time, we received none of the drinks or shakes we ordered. When we went to the drink station after picking up the food, two employees were standing there laughing and talking, completely ignoring us. Another staff member at the front desk looked at us, scratched her head, twiddled her thumbs, and walked to the back even though our drinks were sitting right in front of her. We stood there for several minutes with employees doing nothing to help us until the same girl finally returned and handed us our items as if she were the last possible option. I’m not sure what the issue was last night or what type of atmosphere the staff had going on, but from the moment I entered, I felt stared at, judged, and unwelcome. I’m a Tesla owner, and I came simply to charge my car and enjoy the experience. Instead, I was treated as if I didn’t belong there at all. It was extremely uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. As for the food, it was nowhere near the hype. After ordering almost everything on the menu, I can honestly say it’s nothing special comparable to any average burger spot. The diner itself is a cool concept and a nice addition for Tesla customers, but the customer service was by far the worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant. I will be sharing an honest review of the food on other platforms, but the service alone made the visit something I would not want to experience again. UPDATE / I came to Tesla AGAIN Jan. 20th in my regular daily dressed outfitting of my suit and I got nothing but RESPECT and they never looked twice ! This speaks VOLUMES for the way people treat each other in society over wealth and poor , needs to change

I am beyond disappointed. I visited the Tesla Diner last month and had a wonderful experience; the staff was incredible, and my friend and I left absolutely charmed. Naturally, I decided to come back today (February 21st) with my daughter, but the difference in service was night and day. The team today seemed completely lost. I ordered a Cream Soda, which tasted nothing like the one I had last time. When I went downstairs with my daughter to get a refill, a staff member told me they couldn't provide any more sodas because they were "limited for the day." How does a diner run out of soda? She then offered to bring us lemonade instead. To our absolute shock, she returned with two cups of pure water and then casually mentioned they didn't have lemonade either. Finally, a manager (or at least someone who looked like they were in charge, though they looked like they couldn't care less) came over and offered a lemonade without even knowing if it was actually available. At that point, I just gave up. I walked out frustrated, especially because my daughter was so excited for this experience. The team working today completely "crapped" on what was supposed to be a fun outing. Such a shame to see a place with so much potential fall flat due to a lack of effort and organization.

Very bad experience!!! Our kids wanted the Tesla box so we ordered multiple burgers and fries. Then we asked for the box lid but they refused to give us and did not explain why. All the other tables have it except us. We talked to multiple waiters and some said it’s shortage and some said you need to order to go to get the box.. until we said we need to talk to manager, then they gave us 3 lids.. the lady in the picture was really bad attitude and she was the one who just said no and did not explain why and just walked away. I just don’t understand why 3 paper lids are that valuable and why matter that much..
