Neri’s Filipino Casual Dining is an absolute gem! From their Occidental location to the new spot, they’ve kept everything that makes them special—delicious food, a welcoming ambiance, and that unbeatable nostalgic vibe. Walking in, I was instantly transported back to my childhood, enjoying authentic Filipino dishes cooked with love. The food is simply amazing. The kare-kare was rich and flavorful, the chicken teriyaki was perfectly tender, the bihon was spot on, and the budol fight experience was such a fun and satisfying feast. Every dish brought back memories, and the flavors are as authentic as it gets. What’s even better? Their prices are cheaper than most nearby Filipino restaurants, but the quality and taste remain top-notch. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the 2000s R&B playlist made the experience even better—it felt like home. This is hands-down the best Filipino food in town. Name another spot that offers this kind of flavor, quality, and affordability—you can’t! Neri’s has set the bar high for Filipino dining. Whether you’re new to Filipino food or craving a taste of home, this place is a must-visit. Thank you, Neri’s, for the great food and even greater memories!
Ordered their all day breakfast Tocino (tender slices of sweetened pork) with garlic rice and egg. It was very yummy and the servers were very friendly and attentive! The portions are large and definitely worth the try!
This place is the best Filipino restaurant in Los Angeles! My girlfriend is from the Philippines, and was pleasantly shocked the first time I brought food home from here. The pancit is delicious, the sisig is crispy and delicious, the lumpia is made just right , etc , etc , etc. This place deserves more attention. The food is so good. I wish more people knew how good Filipino food is!
It is a very nice place to eat!!! I just recently traveled to Philippines and I fell in Love with food, I loved lechon and adobo. Today I ordered Sisig, so if you are Latino who eats spicy, well, You'll love sisig, it is pork and chicken mixed with species and Jalapeños, mouth watering! I tried the lechon and chicken adobo, it is so good. But I think portions are little smaller than you expect, but it is worthen! The staff is nice and polite. The place is not that big, but enough for your party, very clean by the way.
First time @ this place with my friends Mylene & Susan yesterday & it's the best Filipino restaurant in California that I've been to & eaten at in my honest opinion. It's right by the Philippine consulate Los Angeles. Food was superb (we had pancit bihon, lechon kawali, bistek, Turon & halo Halo) Service was excellent especially Mr Tony & her daughter. Restroom was clean!!! Highly recommended & we are definitely coming back soon! Only regret is why we haven't found out about this place sooner. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
The food is amazing, though they have a small serving. The sisig is amazing but if they can put more meat instead of putting a lot of rice it will be amazing. But other than that Sinigang, Sisig and Kare-Kare are good. Definitely will continue ordering food from Neri's.
The vegetable lumpia, chicken empanada, turon de langka and pancit bihon were all good. Haven't tasted vegetable lumpia this good, with or without the suka. The owner was gracoius and nice, and even volunteered to take our photos. We're definitely coming back to try the famous fried dinuguan and special puto. Five stars for food, customer service and overall dining experience!
The crispy pata is the best I’ve ever had. It takes about 15-20 minutes. About $18 with a drink. But it’s so airy and crispy on the outside but the pork melts in your mouth. It blew my mind. Try it before you die at least twice. COVID update: they require masks and proof of vaccination for dine in. Don’t be a jerk to staff. If you’re anti mask or anti vaccine, enjoy your freedom and Filipino food outside.
Had a friend from out of town visit and we stopped by. Staff was quite friendly, somehow she knew it was our first time, so pulled out the menu and gave some suggestions. Had Lumpia Shanghai as an appetizer. We had the chicken Adobo and Lechon Kawali. The waiter brought most of it out and some how my plate was missing. Which the lady that took our orders noticed and on her own went to find out what was going on and had it taken care of. During the meal, stopped by to see how we liked it and give suggestions of what to try next time. Great place.
I absolutely love this place. The food is a great price, and really good quality. They also call me Kuya which is super awesome because I don’t have many other Filipinos in my life anymore and it’s nice to feel like I’m at home. I absolutely adore this place.
First time customer and first time trying Filipino food after being referred by a friend. When I tell you the food is amazing along with the customer service. 10 out of 10 I will be back. I ordered the Lechon Kawali with garlic rice. I almost cried it tasted so good! Definitely stop by, be kind, and tip them. The place is kind of small but the food speaks for itself.
We always eat here, whenever we have business at the Philippines Consulate across the street. The food is delicious, reminiscent of Filipino cuisine; and yes, we are Filipino and we do travel/live in the Visayan islands. They do sometimes run out of proteins (i.e. beef, pork, etc), so we're unable to order our favorites. However, that means we sample something else from the menu (not a bad thing). The seating area is on the small side, but they get busy/crowded because their food is good. We've gotten our food to-go a couple times, and eaten outside (there's nice spots around the building where the Philippines Consulate is). There is a single restroom, which sometimes means waiting in line. The service is very friendly, and prompt when you ask for anything.
Tastes good with a wide variety of items to choose from. I ordered the lechon kawali plate with Shanghai lumpia and it's a lot of food for 1 person.
Neri’s Casual Filipino Dining restaurant one of our favorite places to go have lunch after our appointment in the Philippines council. The barbecue chicken and beef bulaldo soup were absolutely delicious. Service was great, restaurant and restroom were clean and in good condition.
I tried Filipino food for the first time at Neri's, and it tasted surprisingly delicious and familiar—something everyone would enjoy. The lechon kawali, crispy fried pork belly served over rice, had a perfectly crispy texture on the outside. The chicken barbecue was also universally appealing. They don't seem to use a lot of sauce in their dishes, so I recommend getting garlic rice to enhance the flavor.
Came to this place for the first time. Very cute modern restaurant. I ordered the Sisig with a fried egg on top. The plate was delicious. Very flavorful. Very decent portions and you can't beat the price. The only thing I would add to this meal is to have a bit more of the crispy skin of the pork belly to the Sisig. Otherwise this place is excellent. I'll definitely return.
Affordable, delicious and good portions ! The location is nice and chill, everything is fresh and full of nice, unique flavours.
The food was fantastic! It brought me back from home. The flavours, texture and how presentable they are. The staff was so consistent, and very helpful with what foods we should order. The area of this place was perfect as they are near the tourist area such as the Griffith park, Koreatown, Hollywood and etc. This was our first destination of the day and it truly helps us throughout the days as we are stuffed with good quality foods. We even bought more foods to go as we have a lot of places to visit. Definitely worth visiting especially if you are thinking of trying good authentic Filipino cuisines.
First time I have been to this restaurant. The doors opened promptly and I was first in the door as they unlocked it. The place is nicely appointed and very clean. The cashier took my order and is courteous and efficient. Their food selection is excellent and I could have ordered more but I can only eat so much. I ordered the Grilled Liempo which was served promptly, less than 10 minutes. Best Grilled Liempo I have ever tasted and I have tasted a lot since it is one of my favorite Filipino foods. I live in San Diego so the chances of me coming back is slim unless I have another business at the Philippine Consulate in LA. But if you happen to be in the area I highly recommend this place. The staff at the Philippine Consulate do too.
I stopped by for breakfast and got the adobosilog with pork and an order of lumpia. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty. The portions are good, I took more than half home. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. I will be back to try more! :)

Delicious, fresh and healthy food. The service is friendly and fast. Main dishes for 10-12$. Great price!!!! Def recommend
Neri's is the kind of Filipino comfort food that makes you feel taken care of. The Sinigang Spareribs hit exactly right when you are under the weather. That sour, savory broth cuts through everything and warms you from the inside out. The Adobo is reliably great, tender pork with that deep, braised flavor. My only gripe is the meat can lean fatty sometimes, and I would take more broth over extra fat any day. But that is a minor complaint for a dish that still delivers. Both plates are salty, but that comes with the territory for Filipino cooking. You know what you are signing up for. Paid about $37 through DoorDash for two entrees. Reasonable for the portion sizes and the quality you get. This is homestyle food from a local spot, not trying to be fancy, just trying to be good. It succeeds. The kind of place worth keeping in rotation when you want something cozy and filling.
We were visiting from SF Bay Area with family, and we wanted to do a Kamayan meal together. Neri’s delivered an excellent experience with delicious food all around! Highly recommend this restaurant, as they are so warm & friendly, serving such good food! They’ve got parking underground and will validate before you leave.

I came here with a friend to try some of their food that I had heard was pretty good. It's really nice to have a different taste of cuisine in the area. I ordered a sisig and it was actually really good, and we got the food really quickly. I feel like the presentation could use a little work with the food, and perhaps an extra two scoops of the food for portion quantity. I think if they focused on these two things: More creative presentation and a slight increase to their portions, then I think they definitely have a potential to bring in more customers and higher rated reviews. For now, it's okay, and I actually wouldn't mind coming back to eat here. They're very nice and its a very relaxed place.
This review is based off of an Uber eats delivery. This is solid Filipino food. I’m pretty sure if I ate these items at the location and straight from the kitchen, it would have been better. I ordered their Kare Kare, fresh lumpia, sisig with garlic rice and their pancit palabok. Their Kare Kare was above average and the bagoong was on point. There was lots of tender meat pieces along with juicy beef chunks. Overall a solid dish. The sisig with garlic rice was pretty good also and when mixed with the garlic rice it’s an excellent combination. The fresh lumpia was also good but I misordered but it was still descent. The pancit palabok was very flavorful and overall the food was great. I’d definitely order from here again and probably try their food at the restaurant for the full dining experience.
A pleasant service, clean and easily accessible. Suggestion on a better printed menus with pictures for non-Filipinos to know what to expect. The digital menu is mostly words. Buffet style is better for international cuisines.

It’s okay, nothing bad, but also not great. The food was pretty bland, not much flavor. Pancit bihon was cooked well and not dry, but also no flavor and only a little lemon piece instead of calamansi. Sisig was disappointing and not vinegary enough, as was the halo halo, just kinda weak. Maybe growing up around Philippinos and visiting Manila last year skewed my tastes - this place is just okay.
Me and my girl go around town looking for Filipino places to eat, so we compare them all. First off, this place deserves some respect because they've been in K Town since the 80's. But as far as the food, we weren't really thrilled. The pancit was one we weren't crazy about. At all. It was pretty bland, but that can happen. The shanghai lumpia were super tasty, but they were all miniature sized? I'm not sure the reason behind this, I didn't mind it, but my Filipina girl did. Still, they were tasty. But authentic? I'd say it was all pretty authentic. All the way down to that banana sauce they served with it ::shudder:: If you don't know what it is, it's extra sweet ketchup. There, I just saved your tastebuds the trauma so I'll take my like. Thanks.
I recently visited Neri's in Koreatown, a Filipino restaurant that has been getting a lot of buzz lately. I was excited to try some authentic Filipino cuisine, but unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, I have to say that the halo halo was definitely the highlight of my meal. This Filipino dessert is a mixture of shaved ice, evaporated milk, and a variety of toppings such as sweet beans, jellies, and fruits. The one at Neri's had a great variety of toppings and was a refreshing treat on a hot day. However, the kare kare and sisig were a bit of a disappointment. The kare kare, a stew made with beef and vegetables in a peanut sauce, had a slight hint of peanut butter but was lacking in depth of flavor. The beef was tender, but overall it fell a bit flat. The sisig, a popular Filipino dish made with chopped pig and was unfortunately a letdown. The dish lacked the bold flavors and crispy texture that I was expecting. It was a bit disappointing, especially since it's a dish that I was really looking forward to trying. Overall, I think Neri's has potential, but there's definitely some room for improvement.
Went here to satisfy my Filipino food cravings! Workers were nice. The food was good, but nothing too special. We ordered the Lumpia Shanghai, Pancit Canton, and Kare Kare. My favorite would have been the Kare Kare and Halo Halo. The lumpia was small (?) and much of it was wrapper, with little filling. The panic was good, but a little salty for my liking. Now, the Halo Halo was so delicious. Perfectly sweet and refreshing.
I really wanted to like this place, but feeling a little underwhelmed. The portion of meat in the chicken adobo was so small and I had so much leftover rice. I had the garlic rice substitution and altogether paid $12. For that amount, I was expecting a little more heft to the protein. Maybe I need to try some of their other dishes. Note: If you’re picking up to go, they have a parking garage on the Alexandria Ave side and they can validate.

So disappointed with their food. Beef was rubber like and so dark brown (like it was really old stock left inside the freezer for aometome); and when I went up to the owner to provide my feedback, he only called the attention of his wife who did not even budge. The whole disappointment is that I invested good relations with the owners only to find out that they do not know a thing or two on GOOD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Sad! I am not coming back. My aunt already told me a long time she was already disappointed with them but .. well now I found for myself.
This is $10...not a decent portion. I rather go to Jollibee. Same thing for lumpiang sariwa for $7. I went there lunch time but only a couple of people were eating. Nice location and it's a shame. They need to improve their marketing strategy so people would come. I rather pay more with a "WOW nakakatakam factor" to look at and taste. I came from San Pedro to try their food and it's quite disappointing.
Coming from northern California, there is def better filipino food. The food besides the meet an lumpia is cold. The price is high, and lacks the true essence of a good filipino meal. It tasted like something a college might serve to celebrate filipinos on campus. The atmosphere is nice but I won’t be back sadly!

I ordered the lumpia, toron and pansit and it is really bad! I wouldn’t recommend it. Filipino food is normally tasty and flavorful, I’ve definitely had better Filipino food before. Also the customer service is terrible! I wouldn’t come back here and I don’t recommend this to anyone who wants to try Filipino food, this isn’t the place to try it!
We ordered Turon to go. I made a mistake for not checking my order. To my disappointment my Turon order was soggy - oil was seeping in the styrofoam box and it looked like an explosion. I would not feed to my dog or human. Very sad, I try to always support Philippine run restaurant, but this experience made me mad and jaded. I will NOT come back nor recommend this place.
My family and I ordered bulalo, pancit, barbecue chicken, kawali and fish. The food tasted really awful to me. I tried everything except the kawali. The chicken and fish tasted SOUR and undercoook. Gross. I had to dip a lot of vinegar to get rid of the awful taste. The Soup was stale and unpleasant. I took one sip and I felt like puking. The pancit I have to squeeze a lot lemon. I had to order a can of coke to get rid of the nasty after taste. Funny their sodas were not even COLD! it was almost room temperature can of coke!!!! Both my parents had tummy aches for 3 days!!! I didn’t get one cuz I was taking antibiotics at that time. Thank God for that! I wish I can give this restaurant a ZERO star . The food were rancid, foul, terrible and unpleasant taste! I will never go back to this place. You have to pay the food first before you getting the actual food. This is not a restaurant it’s more like a BAD CAFETERIA.
Horrible! Paid $16 for 10 pieces of dry tiny beef! 80%is rice 5% not seasoned iceberg lettuce and 5% beef Even felt sick after eating it 🤢
I love Filipino food, so I had high hopes when I stopped by Neri's Casual Filipino Restaurant in L.A. Unfortunately, my visit ended in disappointment, prompting me to share my experience. Upon entering, I ordered Bistick Tagalog and Pancit Canton. The Bistick Tagalog turned out to be a letdown—boiled beef in an overly salty broth with some cooked onions. To add to my disappointment, the rice portion was only half a cup. After eating half of the Bistick, I called the person behind the counter and asked, "Is this cooked by a Filipino chef?" Initially hesitant, he eventually admitted, "No." I then asked if they had any Filipino chefs, and he replied, "Yeah, we have one chef." I requested to speak with the Filipino chef. Meanwhile, the counter person offered me a refund if I didn't like the food. I told him to hold off until I spoke to the chef. During this time, I tried the Pancit Canton, which was also disappointing and clearly not cooked by a Filipino chef. When the Filipino chef arrived, he confirmed that the food was indeed cooked by other chefs who were not Filipino. He was surprised at how I could tell. I explained my background with Filipino cuisine and my love for cooking it. He offered to replace my order, so I requested Laing with rice, insisting it be cooked by the Filipino chef. When the Laing arrived, it was a relief—it finally felt like I was tasting authentic Filipino food. This dish made me happy and somewhat salvaged my experience at Neri's. To be fair, the place is very clean, and the staff is friendly. However, the owners need to ensure that the food is consistently authentic. If you decide to eat there, make sure to request the Filipino chef to cook your food.
