Oh My Poki

I have been going here for years! Great quality, fresh fish, and good portions. They will validate parking. To get here, you need to go through the mall and grocery store. There is seating in front of the poke place or you can eat it in front of the Sakura Noodle place (or take it to go).

Seafood here is fresh. You can tell because there is often someone at the cutting board filleting more fish. Sauce is on point. Plenty variety of fish. Toppings include seaweed salad and crab meat which sometimes are extra at other poke spots. Avocado is +1 buck. However the base price is $9 flat including tax! You can't beat that anywhere. There's something novel to have a small poke joint inside your neighborhood market. I've often found the best tasting food to be made in the middle of local grocery marts.

Located inside of a supermarket, it's a small place with BIG flavors. This place serves truly tasty poke. If you find yourself in Los Angeles, make sure to carve out some time to visit this poke paradise.

Big fan of poki. I've been to about 5 places including oh my poki and I think it's the best. People are kind, service Is fast. There is hardly ever a line, probably because it's inside of a market off Alameda. I wasn't sure where it was so I called and they were polite enough to give directions. The fish is very fresh and I think I get a lot for the price. Delivery prices are way more expensive so don't let it fool you. I get extra on stuff like seaweed and ginger and sauces and they don't make a hassle and try to be stingy. I have to limit how much I go there or I'll go broke. Usually go once a week. Hope you enjoy.

Overall: 3.8/5 (Doordash delivery) We ordered via Doordash since they delivered under 30 minutes. The food was well-packaged and a good portion size as well. Poki Bowl ($17.64): For my base, I got half salad & half brown rice. For my side (you can choose 6), I got crab meat, cucumber, & onion. The other 3 (avocado, extra avocado, & extra crab meat) options cost an extra $1.50. They gave a big portion for the crab meat but I would have preferred more of the regular proteins. For my regular proteins, I chose salmon, spicy tuna, & tamago. The proteins were good but not very flavorful. They gave a small amount of tamago too. For my spice level, I chose mild spicy but it was more like no spicy to me. For the toppings (you can choose 8), I got wasabi, seaweed salad, ginger, furikake, edamame, crispy onion, & crispy garlic. I'm not usually a fan of seaweed salad but this one was good. The crispy onion & garlic remained crispy and were a great texture contrast for the rest of the bowl. I think they forgot the ginger though. It was a very homogeneous bowl so I thought it was okay. Miso Soup ($3): One of the best miso soup I had. Not too salty and it doesn't have the seaweed which I don't like.

Its okay. I mean its not the best I have had, but not the worse. Kinda lacks flavor? I was expecting this to be awesome but i needed a break in between bites to digest the blandness of the poke bowl. Dont expect much...i guess?

They missed 3/4 of my entire Poké bowl. No Ginger, Wassabi, seaweed salad, furikake, crispy, onions, crispy garlic, or masago. The only reason for messing up this bad is pure incompetence. Will never order again. Not worth $20.

Their last good review was 11 months ago. A few weeks ago i saw the owner mistreating his employee and I told him to be nicer to his workers. I went today with my friend and he mistreated and told me he was not gonna sell me a bowl i come here from Huntington park. And he told me he was not gonna sell to me for telling him to be nice to his employees. Don't go here his bowls are expensive and he doesn't serve a lot of fish and will mistreat anyone he always has new workers and fires them for no reason. The back and forth lasted five minutes and honestly felt egregious. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I’m all for supporting small businesses, but kindness and basic customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, that was missing here. Kindness and character matter. Those are the types of businesses we should be supporting. Chris, I genuinely hope you’re okay. Maybe you were having a bad day, but your energy was really off and hurtful. There’s no excuse for how you acted. Do right by your community, more now than ever.
