Opinions de Otto Sushi Los Angeles
The egg rolls had an extremely flaky and crunchy exterior while the inside was hot and well balanced. The sushi was fresh and very well presented. I was very happy with my experience and their pricing.
My Favorite Sushi spot in the valley. Always super fresh. Had the BSCR. Been a long time since I had scallops cooked as perfectly as these. Melt in your mouth. Kind of hard to describe what makes this place so special. The flavors are always a notch above all others.
Hands down, one of the best services I've ever gotten on top of that the sushi was spectacular. After going to the Getty my sister and I stopped by Ottos for dinner. The place was nearly empty which was good because it's not that big. We started off by ordering their crispy rice without the salmon (bc I'm a vegetarian), then I got the tempura veggie roll and an avocado roll with a Dr. Pepper. Everything was fresh, crispy, and delicious. It was one of the best tempura veggie rolls I've had; it had sweet potato, squash, asparagus, and I believe Yuka root (not sure, lol). The prices were fair and the server went above and beyond for us. Would recommend it, and I would definitely come again. If you're in the SF Valley, check it out.
Really good sushi 🤤🤤 flavor is good and quality is top-notch. Service amazing. I also appreciate how clean everything is. Definitely a great spot to sushi lovers
I’m don’t usually eat sushi but this place has me hooked. I’m curious to try a variety of rolls and so far everything I’ve tried is good. The spicy mayo is good on rolls as well. The customer service was good and the entire process in the restaurant was quick. The only downside is the parking lot, it’s hardly any parking.
I went here for 2 times and both of the time I was very satisfied. I never had a chance to eat inside so both time I did a take out. The food was very delicious. Everything I tried, I haven’t regretted ordering them. The pricing is fairly cheap side too. I mean, it is a sushi after all but compared with other restaurants they are on the inexpensive side. Worth all the money you spend. The atmosphere of the restaurant, you can’t really tell from outside but inside is very welcoming and comfortable. Especially the servers were all nice. I believe it is the most important part of the restaurant. I will for sure coming back.
My partner and I walked in here right before close. We had been house sitting and completely forgot to eat, and oh wow did this hit the spot! If you're low carb, paleo or keto they have amazing cucumber rolls (with a tiny bit of soy paper) and so many riceless dishes to chose from. I think we inhaled about 7-9 different items AND got some of the cute riceless rolls for home in case we got hungry later. Ji Woo, our server was so kind and understanding of our food-starved brains and helped us order only the most delicious things... of which I can say seems to be everything? We ordered an ABSURD amount of food and it was still under $200 with tip, best sushi deal in LA? One thing! If you have an iPhone there's an issue where the Google Maps app will tell you they close an hour LATER than they do. Call the business to make sure you have the correct end of day time if you have come yo this review on an iPhone. 11/10, DELICIOUS food, quality service, cute restaurant--go here! This post was not sponsored, I just really really want to eat here over and over and over and tell the world ❤️
One of my top 5 Sushi places. 🍣
Nallely, and Kevin , we are very pleased with the service, they greet you with a big beautiful smile and they are very polite and friendly this place has good vibes and the food is good we had Chiken Ramen it was delicious. This is the 6th time I'll definitely come back . Thank you, guys .
Absolutely worth the money. I got dragon roll and baked salmon. Both were good as expected but baked salmon roll was especially delicious. The service was done on time and the lady manager was more than friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great too - nice music, cozy sits and ambient light wanna make you come back. I paid $30 total. Good and affordable sushi spot for a date or to meet with friends. Highly recommended for people who like Japanese cuisine 👍
This is the best sushi in Van Nuys for a fair price 👌 Definitely, we're going to come back. (Excuse the photo, but I was hungry) 😋 There is only one complaint: The Music! Sounds like a nightclub, and the last time, the music has mature themes in the lyrics and very explicit for my kid.
One of the most delicious sushi in my opinion. Their sashimi cuts and sushi are worth it, especially their ‘Falcon’ no-rice sushi. Their server is also good and has a cheerful tone! A must try japanese resto if you’re a sushi lover.
It is so beautifully inside. This was a great experience for me and my son. My son got the Rainbow roll and the Aguacado roll. I got the Crazy roll. We both shared a ramen bowl and garlic enamame. We are definitely going to come back. Serve was amazing.

Ji Woo was the best. I got a spicy salmon roll and baja roll and it was so fresh, so neat and so yummy!!!! My aunt got a bento box which is a steal of a price. Also pretty on the inside!!

Sushi was so bomb. I ordered delivery and I love the fact they had wasabi/spicy mayo in separate containers. I got the baked salmon roll, it was really good. Definitely will order again.
My fiancé and I are regulars here! We enjoy the bento box with either the teriyaki chicken or bulgogi beef. We also enjoy the salmon rolls and Thai tea. The prices are amazing and we are usually attended pretty fast depending how busy it is. We often eat in or takeout. I think we’ve been going here for a few years now! I love this place, there is a gentlemen waiter who is always very nice!
I’ve never had sushi at such a cheap price before! My sister recommended this place, so I came to try it out, and honestly I don’t know how they even make a profit at these prices. Other places charge around $18.99 just for rolls, but here it’s only about $12. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and such a great deal—I’ll definitely be coming back and ordering more next time.

This place is super cute for a date. Good selection. Some basic roll but very delicious. Good size portions for price
Ordered the spicy garlic edamame and the Gyoza for appetizer. The edamame was not as spicy as I thought it would be, and although it was too salty for me, it was most certainly garlicky, which made it tolerable. The Gyoza was deep fried, which was a disappointment, because Gyoza should be pan fried, and it was veggie, which was not stated on the menu. Also ordered the salmon sushi and the salmon belly sushi which were both fresh. Then we got the baked crawfish roll which was good, and the baked salmon roll, which looked like it needed a bit more baking done. It was still good though. I got the beef yaki soba which came with tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles, but alas, it was again too salty for me. The service was friendly and fast, although the server kept coming back to ask about our order. She didn’t write anything down which makes me think she probably would be better off writing things down. The place was clean and had a nice decor and ambience. The plaza had ample parking. Overall it satisfied our sushi craving but I feel there’s better sushi places in the valley that have dishes that are not too salty.

Can be a hit or miss. It's a 50/50 chance the food is amazing or a little gross. The first few times coming, we enjoyed the food a lot. It seems quality is dropping a bit. I recommend the spam mitsubi for an appetizer, its made fresh there. I would stay away from dishes with mayo as it can taste a little overwhelming and they sometimes drench it in mayo (gross). We typically ask them to remove it from the dish upon ordering. They also tend to pack the rolls full of crab meat which we have to take some out, or it overpowers the taste. Staff is always friendly. Cute restaurant and decor. Recommend: fresh sushi, baked sushi, spam mitsubi Note: to the Ai generated reply from the owner, do better.
A friend of mine recently moved right around the corner from this restaurant. Overall I rate it 3.5-4.0. Pros; 1) Service was nice & prompt. 2) Their menu offers a wide variety 3) small but cozy ambiance. The downside is that it's pretty pricey for a tiny spot without authenticity, but even worse they don't serve alcohol. We were told after we placed our food order. Huge disappointment for us. Im a huge sushi fan..in my entire life..I've never had sushi without sake bombs( hot sake with Asian cold beer 🍺.) Sushi is just not the same without sake.
