Tiki Ti is a popular, small tiki bar known for its strong, delicious cocktails and fun, laid-back atmosphere. Drinks like Ray's Mistake and Ooga Booga are highly recommended. Expect a wait, especially on weekends, due to its size.

My fist trip to the legendary Tiki-Ti! A true classic, with great history, and direct ties to the roots of tiki. Great interior with an impressive mug collection on display, and the drinks.... quite delicious. Sampled the mai tai and also Ray's mistake. Both were solid, balanced, not overly boozy, deliciously citrusy creations. So glad I finally made it in.
Tiki Ti is the closest you’ll get to the authenticity of the bygone tiki culture in LA. Intimate and small place often with a line out the door, but the wait is absolutely worth it because the guys running this place have been doing it far longer than I’ve even been alive. Tried and true traditions and tiki drinks here and probably considered the most authentic tiki bar in CA. A must see for tiki fans
This place is legendary and it lives up to it's reputation. Small, unassuming, and lively. For my fellow tikinauts, the drinks are decidedly not "3rd wave." Their recipes - dated as they are - are fantastic and it's no wonder this place has been a must-see for 60 years throughout tiki's waxing, waning, and resurgence.
I recommend you arrive 15 min prior to opening as there is limited seating and it fills up quick The drinks are amazing and painstakingly crafted by the bartenders. I got the Lemonhead and the Chi Chi. Both were fantastic but the sugar rim on the Lemonhead ran down the side and made the glass sticky. Overall, delicious.
Great little tiki bar nestled on Sunset Blvd. It is very small so large parties ain't gonna work. They do not sell wine or beer and I wish they used fun tiki glasses for their drinks but alas they do not. Amazing vibe - the drinks are reasonably priced - bar tenders are friendly. Definitely a fun spot!
Finally made it to this iconic place! For a good tiki time, this is the place to go. I got Ray's Mistake. It was like drinking a popsicle. I guess the regulars have their own Tiki Mugs. You start by bringing your own and then if they like you, you can keep it there and add it to the wall. And it's family owned. Rad spot.
I love a good tiki bar! I try to sniff out a good one in every big city that I visit. Thankfully, I live in LA and I found this one. I’ve been to three other tiki bars in the area and this is definitely my favorite one, so far! It’s super small, but we only had to wait about 20 minutes for two people to get in at around 6 o’clock on a Saturday. In short, they have a really nice selection of tiki drinks. We had three different varieties each and liked them all. They are very strong, so definitely drink responsibly! The decor is what I would expect from a tiki bar Dash cluttered and overdone! Makes for a great ambience. And, it’s actually a pretty cool vibe when they pull out the bull and run it down the bar. There is a mixed crowd Dash young and old. Feels like a cozy neighborhood bar. I definitely plan on returning! The only slight con that I will mention is their presentations are not as extravagant as some tiki bars. Pretty much all of the drinks I saw were served in standard bar glasses. Only a few were served in specialty glasses.
Toro! Toro!!Toro!!! A true L.A. Original dive here in our own city. Go for the experience, ambiance, decor, and of course The Drinks! Location on East Sunset Blvd...Hollywood. Place is simple...but truly rocks! You make your way in and decor inside takes you to another time...place....over 50 years a mainstay...Impresive to say least. The bar tenders are owners 3 Generations making you the best drinks...some you never herd of..original taste...name..and genuine perfection. Tunes are blaring as you mingle..catching your surroundings....and all sudden someone orders "Blood and Sand"..and place comes alive...with bartender pouring the liquor to drink as he calls out.."Toro....Toro...Toro!!" The more people yell...the more he pours. Lol....fun. You'll Love this place...great date or friends experience...music...old t.v. classics playing on screen. The bartenders are friendly and Great!!! Order from a menu of classic drinks to every taste...my fav's..ever classic "Chi Chi" A true Iconic little bar!
On my top 3 list of best Tiki bars of all time. There is always a line to get in. Very small bar but patrons are friendly and share tables. Classic tiki menu. My favorite is Ray's Mistake. When you order a certain drink they send the wind up bull toy down the bar. This is a family operated bar so check the website to make sure they are open before you make the trip (especially around the holidays). This bar is also cash only.
One of the best bars in the world. And now they are open again! Ray’s Mistake named after the late father and grandfather of the current owners is fantastic. Ray worked at many places including the original Don the Beachcomber and invented many tiki cocktails. This place has seriously strong ties to the beginning of tiki in the 1930s.
Absolutely love this place! The vibe is laid-back and fun, the food hits the spot, and the staff brings great energy. Some team members might be new (shoutout to Mike, he’s getting the hang of the drinks, go easy on him!), but they’re all friendly and welcoming. Make sure to ask for Esteban, I think he’s the owner. Super charming guy and a total pro behind the bar. He’ll whip up anything you’re in the mood for, no problem. And Greg at the door? Total sweetheart. Checks your ID with a smile and gives the best hugs, if I weren’t straight, I’d probably be flirting my way into trouble! Pro tip: Order the Uga Booga drink. It’s underrated, easy to make, and definitely worth trying. Don’t sleep on it!
The bar is very small and cozy. Drinks are so creative. Order one of the specials and everyone will start chanting with you! Come at opening or be prepared to queue. We queued for almost an hour to enter and had no seats, just standing around the whole evening. But hey, no complaints! This place was GREAT!
I just shake my head in wonder. How does mi hijo do it, even by accident. So, we had some time to kill before our dinner resv, so "Let's grab a drink," I say and within five minutes, I'm parking to go to Tiki Ti. Mi hijo loves a fancy drink, as you know, and we walked into this place just as it opened. It was packed with people in Hawaiian shirts, regulars who come here to drink wild concoctions with little paper umbrellas and then some! Mi hijo found a good seat at the bar and I hovered over him to make sure everything was under control. We got our drinks (the best margarita I've ever tasted!), finished them in record time to make our dinner, and during our brief time there, we met a few folks. They seemed nice enough and mi hijo didn't act out even though there was a lot of sugar in his drink. But boy did I pay for that over dinner! More to come!
This spot is one-stop-shopping for all your tiki needs. They have the strongest Zombies and the best fun energy here. We love coming here right now when they open or any time after enjoying a silver lake haunt or two. Perfectly located for one to start the evening or end the evening with a Zombie or two.
Honestly pretty cool although definitely one of the smallest bars I have been in. Worth stopping in if you are hanging around that area for sure but not a place I would want to try staying in for an extended period of time simply because it is frankly rather cramped
Get there early and avoid the line. Small bar but so worth it. All the drinks are great!
Classic tiki bar with a great selection of delicious drinks and a unique atmosphere. The bartenders are generous with their pours, everything has a little extra rum. Service is excellent, but the location itself is very small so expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get inside.
Tiki Ti is one of my favorite Tiki Bars. It's tiny, not a lot of room to sit or even stand. It's packed on the weekends from the moment it opens. Not sure how crowded it is on weekdays. Our drinks were properly strong. The recipes were traditional. Not too expensive considering what normal drinks cost now. The place is very cool. Doesn't seem to change. If you are in the area and you enjoy a Tiki, definitely check it out.
Classic LA Tiki bar! Tight little spot, so show up early. Drinks are pretty sweet, but there are several with less sugar. Three Dots and a Dash was good!
First time here, and we absolutely loved it. It was definitely worth waiting in line for, and this comes from someone who avoids lines like the plague! The atmosphere was super fun and the drinks were fantastic. They were definitely not watered down, so very reasonably priced. We're definitely looking forward to coming again.
No food. Bar only. Extremely limited seating so come early. Parking is a nightmare. Street only from what I could tell. Lucky you don't have to pay meters if you have a handicap placard in California. Amazing cocktails. This place is an institution. Order the Ooga Booga or the Toro. Decent selection of merch as well. This place is a must visit for any tiki fan. Uber here if you can.
This is the second oldest tiki bar in Los Angeles. It’s tiny place that’s covered floor to ceiling with amazing tiki decor. Great drinks! I had the Ray’s Mistake and the Oooga Booga. Get there early unless you want to wait in line.
A very long time to make it here and it didn't disappoint. Arrived 20 mins early and our party of 6 started at 4th in line. Such a tiny place packed with so much everything. Bartenders never stopped slinging drinks. Which ranged from good to great. Hope to return some day.
An iconic must-visit tiki bar. Definitely get in line around opening because it’s a bit small, but everyone inside is absolutely joyful! Great drinks and an adorable spot.
The best Tiki cocktails in the USA, hands down!! Built on Tradition and Family, this quaint venue packs a lot of libation into their delicious beach-combing cocktails. The vintage menu is complimented by some custom classics, including Ray's Mistake, the drink that built the brand. If you are really on a mission, try the deadly Jim's Special.. yummm-ouch. Heads up - no cover & no beer here, but they do have: Excellent decor, cool clientele, chill vibes, a variety of merchandise, the occasional celebrity or two, and possibly a Rasta as well...sometimes a line but ALWAYS WORTH THE WAIT!
Tiki Ti is the longest continuous running tiki bar in LA County. It's been a Tiki Bar since 1961 and continues to be. Lots of history as it is the same family still involved. Good drinks and good people await you inside the walls of this historical establishment. Drinks only, so plan solid sustenance accordingly. The location is small, so there may be a wait, but it's well worth it! You can purchase merchandise inside if you so desire. This used to be a cash only spot, but they are now accepting cards. Tiki fans, this is a must, but all will enjoy. If you're looking for an awesome spot filled with a rich history, good people, and drinks, this is it! Have your identification ready and prepare yourself for an awesome time. Cheers and I'll see you there!
Very fun! Went around 8pm on Thursday night and it was busy but no wait. Never managed to get a seat though, you have to be cut throat and I’m just not. That’s okay though, happy enough to stand by the bar and sip away. I can’t tell you which cocktails I got, because I forgot but they were both delicious. Certain cocktails elicit a very fun reaction from the whole bar! Order them and find out!
What an amazing bar, drinks are pretty good and I like the atmosphere and vibes. Well decorated and it’s always full. Cash and credit cards are accepted, except google pay and Apple Pay. But they do also have their own ATM inside.
No food, but excellent classic cocktails in an historic location that seems to span 3 generations.
You honestly can’t get a better tiki bar experience. This is a small bar so come early as you’ll have to wait for space to open up but the vibes and cocktails are truly remarkable. Personal favorites are the Chi-Chi, Painkiller, and Ray’s mistake.
Best drinks I’ve ever had! Ray’s Mistake exceeds the hype! We also loved the Uga-Booga and the Zombie! The drinks are strong but taste amazing! I’m used to strong drinks tasting like gasoline, but Tiki-Ti makes perfect drinks that has ruined me for probably all other places that serve alcohol. Worth waiting to get in. It’s small so you may need to stand for a bit until seats open up. The decor is incredible, and the staff are great! We’re so excited to come back!

This is all about the experience, the super cool Tiki ambiance. I don't feel comfortable criticizing their drinks, having only sampled 3 of them. I will say if you don't like sweet, get the ones that say less sweet. The Pain Killer is a safe bet. 🍹As others have stated, you will probably wait to get in. One day I will get there "right at 6pm" and hope there is no wait. Because the place is so tiny, you will likely share a table if your party is less than four. I'm a fan of making new friends, so I consider this a plus. If you are not, you have been warned. 😏 There is no food offered here. Last thing - parking! I went on a Friday, and the metered street parking is actually free past 8pm. Amazingly, there were a good three spots available. Parking is not impossible, at least it wasn't on this Friday in September 2025!
The drinks here were superb! The bartender we had gave a generous pour, which is a plus. The seating area was very small and smelled a bit odd, but i think the drinks are worth it.

This place is TINY and popular, so there’s a good chance there will be a line outside. I don’t recommend parties larger than 3-4 people due to the very limited seating. When you imagine a tiki bar, this is the kind of place your brain comes up with. There’s an array of tropical-themed beverages, and tons of kitschy decor that will have you spending hours just looking around. I had two drinks, the Bayanihan and Tropical Blend. I had to take off a star because the garnishes on my beverage tasted strange (the pineapple slice on the Tropical Blend had a rather dusty/musty note) but I’d be willing to try this place again. Next time, sans-garnishes.
This was a bit of a let down. It has a really good, almost legendary reputation, and the setting, a tiny tiny little bar, filled to the brim with liquor and fun and diverse tiki mugs from around the world, is a lot of fun. But the staff was very uninterested and nonchalant, both in their interactions with guests as well as making drinks, and the quality of the drinks was just not good at all. We left after one drink, somewhat disillusioned, having expected much more.
My husband and I have been coming to Tiki Ti for years and have always loved the delicious drinks and the fun, intimate atmosphere. It has always been one of our favorite spots in LA. Unfortunately, since Ricardo started bartending, the experience has changed. He is consistently cold and unfriendly, and on more than one occasion has been actively rude, including telling me off when I politely pointed out that someone else had been waiting before me. His attitude makes the space feel uncomfortable and takes away from the welcoming vibe that used to make Tiki Ti so special for us. We hope this can improve because the drinks and the tradition of this bar are truly amazing.
Ok it’s a tiki classic in LA. Made a special journey to visit. The drinks are great - nice flavors, well prepared with no drama. Didn’t love my bartender - maybe he was having a bad day? And didn’t like how the smell from bathrooms leaked into the bar. Will give it another chance but first impression? Not super

One bartender ruined an otherwise perfect night. We came to Tiki-Ti last night-great place, amazing vibe, the older bartender was a total legend. But the other guy (dark hair, glasses) was very rude . We were just sitting there, chatting, had a little kiss-nothing inappropriate at all - and he suddenly gestured “no,” like we’d done something criminal. Then he came out and took away the chair I brought for my girlfriend, saying it was “for tables.” Seriously? She was honestly upset. People like that can kill the whole atmosphere.
Came in Thursday night to celebrate my friends birthday. It was 8 of us. We were having a good time, laughing and vibing, buying rounds, doing what you would normally do at a bar. After three rounds we were cut off by the bouncer because we were being “too loud”. Music was playing loud and we were a large party. We weren’t being rowdy or anything crazy. I spoke to the owner and he did nothing. We have been here before and never had this happen. We spent so much money and even tipped! We felt discriminated because we asked to leave for no reason. My friends birthday was ruined and we will never return sadly. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME.
