Really tasty food! I tried in different places that for sure have a better decoration than this one but the food, that is the best part, is just good and tasty, the more real I gonna say, I had the opportunity to eat in Colombia thanks God and I fell in love with its gastronomy and was really hard to find real Colombian food in USA, here is the place! Until now is the most original Colombian taste that I have the opportunity to try in USA. The attendants are the best 👌 they are super cool. No complaints whatsoever! This was recommended by a friend as the best Colombian food in LA and it did not disappoint. The food came out simple, no frills and tasted just like a traditional meal in Colombia. Their bakery was also very fresh and their batidos were delicious! The service was great, our server was so sweet and the outdoor seating and free parking lot was great.
The food here is VERY good, but its definitely not cheap. The restaurant has parking directly behind it. You are given a ticket that the restaurant will validate. When we got there,it looked like it was at capacity. We had to wait about 20 minutes, however we ordered our drinks while we waited and looked at the menu. If you show up hungry keep that in mind. Besides having to wait over 20 minutes to be seated, the kitchen was busy so the wait for our main dishes was also a while. We ordered empanadas, and those came quick-thank, God!
This Colombian hideaway in K town really surprised me. The location is actually empty and there is a parking and the tables are set up next door in the parking lot under a tent with a big projector and music. The food took a little long but in their defense the fried snapper was an entire fish and i was not expecting such a beauty. (it did have the bones so highly recommend you are prepared and know how to eat it) my buddy got the steak with egg and beans , the green plantain on the sides for us were amazing. Overall we both loved the food very much. the energy of the location felt authentic and the servers were mostly speaking Spanish which i always know means the food is good. If you are in that area go check it out! just don’t be in a rush .
My husband is a native Colombiano! He’s always on the look out for Colombian spots in the states, to give him a taste of home. He said it wasn’t his grandmas cooking but it came close! He ordered the tripe soup I forgot the correct name. I posted our plates! Everything was yummy! Service was good. Ambiance was pretty close to Colombia , without the humidity. And I liked that they play music. Only thing I wasn’t expecting was eating with disposable dinnerware. But all in all we recommend!
Amazing experience. Young cashier (forgot to ask his name) was very attentive and offered me suggestions when I was clearly lost on what food to get. I ended up going with the Arroz Con Pollo which he recommended and wow! It was amazing. Great service, great flavors, great people. I will definetly want to return here next time im in LA to try another dish. Thank you guys for a great time. The empanadas were absolutely amazing.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Felt very authentic. Service was acceptable but could be better.
I came on a Sunday and the line was long, but the fact that they had live music playing immediately lifted my soul and made me forget I was hangry. I don’t recall how long I waited but it definitely wasn’t past an hour yet. They have two HUGE LED screens towards the back playing live soccer which was a nice touch because they give you an all-around experience. I immediately ordered a Mango Drink with water instead of milk because it was above 90 degrees that day. We ordered food and it only took ~25 minutes or so. To start off, I would suggest ordering one of each of their appetizers. For the meals, most of their plates include a variety of meats so go for that. And to drink, I would suggest their Mango Drink with Water. This was my first time ever trying Colombian food and I have to say, it was similar to Salvadoran food I had in Miami. I don’t know what the food was supposed to taste like since I don’t have any knowledge on the cuisine, but in general, it was enjoyable.
I visited this place on Friday night 1/24/26. The servers or assistants in charge of the floor and service failed miserably. I love the food that’s why I travel 60min to simplify eat there . But this time it was a bad experience overall . (Food was cold and old ) fritanga horrible ( will never order this dish again) I couldn’t complaint because the server never checked back on us . The drinks arrived after the empanadas almost 15 to 20 min . I asked for the heater and the guy just ignored the comment . The same guy who sometimes is at the parking entrance allowing cars in . The server , dark skin , skinny. Ignored me and my surrounding tables throughout the entire visit . There was only one gentleman who was extremely attentive. Thanks to him I paid the bills and simply didn’t walked away or fight to removed cold old food items . I wish I could get my money back from that visit . It was waste of time and food for me and my family . With $120 I would have had a better experience else where .
Do not order the soups…. Oxtail soup meat was hard and soup full of fat. I ordered the sancocho de pollo and it was the same just with chicken on side. Appetizers and juices were ok.
Mixed Feelings on Second Visit to a Colombian Restaurant After a disappointing first visit, I decided to give this Colombian restaurant another chance. This time, I ordered the "Bandeja Paisa" dish. While the Chicharrón and Guanábana juice were enjoyable, my overall experience was still mixed. The Chicharrón remained the standout of the meal, with its perfect crispiness and flavorful seasoning. It was undeniably the highlight. The Guanábana juice also provided a refreshing touch, balancing the heaviness of the dish. However, the rest of the Bandeja Paisa fell short. The beans lacked depth, the rice lacked aroma and flavor, and the plantains were disappointingly dry. The dish didn't capture the authentic flavors I had hoped for. In conclusion, my second visit to this Colombian restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the Chicharrón and Guanábana juice were enjoyable, the rest of the Bandeja Paisa didn't meet my expectations. There is room for improvement in capturing the true essence of Colombian cuisine. I hope the restaurant can enhance the flavors and overall dining experience to fulfill the potential of their traditional dishes.
The food here is good. Although I didn't get exactly what I wanted. I ordered grilled chicken but got some oily chicken instead. But still the food was fine, it just wasn't what I wanted. The service was ok but not as it should be. I actually saw a couple leave because nobody took their order. They need to step up their service.
I'm sorry but in my years traveling to Columbia this place has nothing good to offer... their food is mediocre and has no flavor or seasoning, also noticed they cook something in the back of the place looked like soup of some sort and it was out in the open next to an alley... the place inside is vacant but you eat in an open area with white tents coverings but the flies are all over your food. Nothing worth writing positive about.
We went to the Sabor Colombian restaurant and first of all it's two large tents in the parking lot in downtown LA. We ordered the Bandeja which I have ordered many times from other restaurants and it was not that good. The mirciloa, which is a blood sausage was very dry. Originally I wanted a Colombian tamale, but they were still making them. When were to pay I was informed they were ready, so I took one to go. Unfortunately I'm having it for lunch now and it's not prepared properly, there is no seasoning, no capers, olives, no pork, just a bone and a small piece of chicken. I was very disappointed, I ended up adding capers to get it to taste somewhat close to what it should of tasted like. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
