The guy was very polite and friendly. Their food was really good too. Everything was done proper. They have some nice art 🖼 in there as well, which we figured that the owner did them all. Ask him to show you guys more of his work. He is very good at both of the thing he does, which is food and art.
On August 19 I had a pleasure to dine in at shekarchi for first time and I truly wanted to share my amazing experience of hospitality of Javier and fresh food and salad and ellit koobideh that I will recommend for all people love Persian food . Keep up and god is with you . Maysam Mozayan
We found this nice place just driving down the street looking for parking. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had a Mediterranean salad with salmon, so e of the best I have eer had. Their tea blend was also just right. A nice surprise.
I need to say this before I even finish my lunch! Kebob with excellent quality meat and perfect cook, you can find it here! Great customer service! This place definitely deserves a 5 stars. Thank you!
Quaint local persian cafe off Westwood. Very generous portions made with fresh ingredients. Try the broccoli salad and shallot yogurt as sides. Friendly staff. Take out is quick and easy if dining space is full.
I’m half Persian and of course Persian food is my favorite. This was some of the best kabob I’ve ever had! 10/10 definitely recommend
Best koobideh In Town by far . Thank you for delicious food.
It was Saturday nite 9:10 pm they close at 9:30 pm, i'm local they are local and new, wanted to try the pizza, no pizza the ovens are down because of a special event. MY LUCKY DAY!!! Had the Sirloin Kabob with Mixed Green Salad, Sangak Bread, Grilled Tomato and White Onions. Then Added Half Rice Half Salad. DAMN!!! It RULES just that simple. An unbelievably great dinner! Thank You so very much. The best Kabob I have ever had (period). That includes all the casino's in 300 miles. Bravo!
Amazing koobideh kabab in LA. Got the soltani kabab it was phenomenal- I want the . Only regret is wanting more… it was phenomenal highly recommend
Met the owner - super friendly and let us try one of his latest creations! We were just visiting la and he gave us lots of great information about what to go do. Delicious pizza.
What an amazing place! I had a chicken kabob which was cooked perfectly. They have some killer macaroons too. The service was great and we had a great conversation with the owner who gave us a lot of good tips on places to see in LA. We will definetly be back!
Just visited for the first time (for pickup during COVID), and I couldn't have been happier. We ordered their meal deal, and everything was ready right on time, and the person at the counter was friendly and attentive, helped me hold the platters correctly, and advised me to separate the salad once I got it to the car to keep the heat from ruining it. Very thoughtful. We got it home, and the effort to include everything was wonderful. Besides the expected beef koobideh and chicken kabobs, vegetables, a massive amount of rice with tahdig left on top, bag of pita bread, and standard salad, there was a container with fresh-cut onion, plenty of butter, lime wedges, and quite a few packets of sumac (we have plenty left over). And then we dug in. My wife and I typically bypass chicken in these scenarios, but it was part of the meal, so we went for it, and we were both very impressed by how juicy and flavorful it was. And then we tried the beef koobideh and it was the juiciest, most flavorful I've ever experienced, like if beef and butter had a child. Utterly spectacular, and instantly took this place to the top of my list. We bought the meal for two, leaving us with plenty of leftovers, and making it a really good value for a treat meal (it was my birthday), and pretty reasonable any other time too. We'll definitely be returning.
We had a dinner for 12 teenage boys catered by Shekarchi. The quantity was right and the food was devoured. They packed everything well and helped load my car.
I'm not Persian but I love kebab and I've tried all the famous kebab places in LA and San Diego and in many other states as well. I can honestly say without a doubt that the kubideh (ground beef) kebab at Shekarchi is the best I've ever had. Second place is not even in the same league as Shekarchi.
The best kebabs I have had. Everything from the rice to the veg to the meat is notably excellent. Get the yogurt soda ( doogh abali) but let them show you how to open it . Bonus: check out the art from the owner, @amanartdesigns on Insta. Just first rate
Food was great. Tahdig was to die for. Our waiter Mehdi, was very respectful and attentive. Overall it was a great lunch / experience. Definitely will be back. I drove all the way from Thousand Oaks to get my Persian food fix for the week.
When it comes to kabob this my first choice in town. The minute you arrive you are greeted with a nice welcome. After being seated your drink order is taken. Within in couple minutes our server comes over to see if you have any questions on the menu. If you are a meat lover you are in for a real treat. No matter what you order you won’t go wrong.
We were greeted , and ordered food, it was prepared well and was very flavorful and tender, also the service was genuine, will definitely be back when I'm in yown.
Ordered the takeout special from here tonight and it’s definitely my fave Persian restaurant in Westwood! I cannot believe how tender and flavourful the ground sirloin kabob was! We also got both dark and white meat chicken and they were super juicy, and filling portions. The tadig was great with the side of gaimeh, and we are definitely coming back!
First time eating authentic Persian food. Loved this place. the rice was delicious make sure you get barberries with it. The chicken was incredible the sirloin was also good. Our server was awesome.
Chicken kabob dark meat was really good. I had cherry rice with it, the cherries weren't for me, but others would love them! Very clean spot, would definitely go here again if in the area.
Absolutely delicious and authentic Persian food! I’ve tried many kabob places around Los Angeles, but Shekarchi Kabob is on another level. The meat is perfectly grilled — juicy, flavorful, and tender — and the rice is always fluffy with just the right amount of saffron. Their Soltani Combo is my go-to; it’s generous and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant is spotless, the staff are polite and attentive, and the service is fast even during busy hours. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the hospitality. The prices are fair for the quality and portions, and parking is easy on Westwood Blvd. If you’re craving real Persian kabob and a warm, welcoming vibe, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!
We had the takeout special #1 from the menu; it had three koobideh skewers and 3 white chicken skewers and a small bowl of Gheymeh stew which was perfect and tasty. The side salad was not great. The koobideh (ground sirloin skewer) was the best part of the dish It was a 6-star Koobideh out of 5! The Chicken ones were very dry and did not have the taste or flavor of Zaffron at all. The rice and Tahdig were 5 stars out of 5! Gheymeh stew was super delicious and flavorful; highly recommend it! The service was fast it only took them 20 minutes to have our order ready. The only downside is that dry Joojeh skewer( chicken skewer) but overall this place is highly recommended. Edited from 4-stars to 5!
The ground sirloin was super tender and flavorful. Loved it. I had white meat chicken, and it was succulent and well spiced. Not the biggest fan of the hummus, but let’s not quibble. Service was friendly and helpful. 5-star all the way.
The best kebab I have hide in a long time, they made a great meal for our family and friends family style. The beef kabob and chicken kabob was amazing I definitely recommend getting a mixture. Located in Westwood they offer catering and curb side pickup.
Perfect atmosphere, warm and friendly. The food was super tasty and fresh and we enjoyed our dinner here so much!! The owner himself is checking if everything goes well for each customer. Definitely recommend👍🏻
I’ve been here a number of times while visiting LA and the food is always incredible. We talked to the owner for a good while and he’s obviously very passionate about what he does. Highly recommended.
Rice is light and fluffy and so delicious. The kabob is supreme.

Shekarchi Kabob is a hidden gem in LA! The koobideh was absolutely amazing – perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has such a cozy and homey vibe, making it the perfect spot for a comforting meal. The service was outstanding and truly reflected the warm and authentic Iranian hospitality that makes you feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back!
The service was great, and the koobideh and chenjeh kabob were delicious!
The ground sirloin kabob was so tender, it was a mouth watering experience.
Stellar food! Best Persian kabab in SoCal, hands down. The menu is simple so everything is freshly made. They don’t pretend to be anything other than what they are, which is a lowkey, HIGH QUALITY, top notch Persian restaurant. Highly recommend them.
I had the beef kabob at Shekarchi Kabob, and it was absolutely amazing! The meat was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. You can really taste the quality and care they put into the preparation. The portion was generous, and every bite melted in my mouth. If you’re craving authentic, delicious kabob, this place is a must-try. Definitely coming back again!
Exquisite Persian Kabob! Incredibly delicious every single time!! We love coming here. The owner is really nice and welcoming.

Fantastic food but I tried ordering online and it took my 65 dollar order that never showed up. Call it in or use some other method but use their online system at your own risk.
Tried the pesto pizza with mushrooms and broccoli. The crust and pesto were great and toppings were fresh. We also tried a variety of macrons. Most of the flavors were tasty but some were too sweet.
What a hidden gem. I wouldn't know about this place if I wasn't looking for something new to try in Westwood. It's not close to other Persian restaurants, yet their kabobs are probably the best in Tehrangeles. Both the sirloin and chicken are grilled to perfection, and both are well seasoned. They are delicious and very fresh!!!!
My hunger was certainly satisfied having lunch here. The sirloin kabob (koobideh) is extremely soft, dissolves in the mouth. This must be quite unique recipe. It was certainly good and flavorful, but was a surprise. The chicken kabob (white meat) was super good, not dry at all and full of flavor. Staff very friendly and attentive.
8-22-20 *** Take Out *** Ordered a salmon kabob with a salad. All ingredients were fresh, especially the salad’s. Salmon was alright but nothing extraordinary. Tasted more like a beef kabob, no idea why. Maybe they used the same species or added some beef broth. Decent portions.
There are lots of Persian restaurants on Westwood Blvd. but I found the joint offers delicious Persian food i.e Koobideh at a reasonable price.

The staff here is really kind. They work very hard and are super nice. The owner needs to compensate them better and more fairly or hire more people to help them because it seems they are always busy and stretched thin but still do their very, very best. As far as the food, it is very overpriced. You don't seem to receive your money's worth but it is still fresh and not too bad in the taste department. The atmosphere feels tiny but is quite cozy as a result. Overall, I would return but maybe not frequently. The people working here are the best part of the experience and they deserve better pay and more help.
It’s a solid option, loved the food it’s a bit heavy and wish they could add some side sauces but other than that it’s great!

Good persian food. They do not have Apple pay. There is no free parking space. You cannot order from DoorDash or Postmates from them. The customer service is excellent. I wish I could gave them more stars.
Delicious food, but…(and this may be because I’m from Texas where everything is bigger) … but the size of a single skewer of Koobideh for around $20 was questionable at best. Granted, it’s LA and things are just more expensive these days, but Shrinkflation Kabab isn’t quite in line with the Iranian culture of true hospitality IMO. Make the skewers thicker and charge more if you have to! The flavor is great! It’s juicy! Give us more! We will pay more for it! That said, a single skewer of top quality Koobideh meal in Houston is around $16 and it would run circles around any kabab in California. That does make me biased because Houston has the best Persian food in the western hemisphere, but that doesn’t mean any Koobideh should be that small. 4 hours later and it feels like we didn’t have lunch despite spending $50 on two skewers of Koobideh. Good service, good atmosphere, but the food quality needs to be stepped up to be competitive and worthy of high commendation, especially for someone visiting from Houston. So far, Houston 1 - 0 LA
They used to be the best in town! Very disappointed tonight as they now have the worse, most tasteless, low quality sirloin koobideh kabob in town. Their chicken kabob is also as bad if not worse; bone dry and tasteless. So sorry for this once great place; obviously they have decided to not care about the taste and quality of their food. Will never order from this place again :(
I have ate at the shekarchi in DTLA and it is amazing. Decided to try the Westwood location.... It is NOTHING like the DTLA location. VERY tasteless barg kabob, small beef koobideh portion that was seasoned but nothing great, the rice had an odd taste, and bread/lime was obviously visible to be old/stale. The only thing I will commend is the kabob was placed on the lavash bread to give you the kabob bread flavor. But then again the kabob was flavorless so it was a bust also. Not worth the $100+ order. Could have gone to our regular place for less and be satisfied. I was truly disappointed and will never return.
My family ordered kebab from this place yesterday, and it was absolutely horrible. The food did not taste fresh. The chicken kebab was completely dry and the meat skewer kebab was horrible and dry and did not taste fresh. We would like a refund for the horrible experience. I honestly felt sick afterwards eating from this place. I don’t know why so many people have good reviews here. It’s honestly not a big deal. There’s a restaurant that’s literally down the street called Shamshiri and it’s 10 times better I’d rather just go to Shamshiri.
Three of us had dinner. Soltani and kobideh kabobs. Meats were oily test disgusting Pay meat was rough and uncooked. Not delicious at all. Don’t go there and don’t waste your money .
Last night, my guests and I arrived at 8:12 after driving 45 minutes to get there. As soon as I stepped in, the guy in the kitchen said, “Sorry, we don’t have food — the kitchen is closed!” I’ve been there many times and have never had an experience like this. It’s really upsetting, especially since it says the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. I’ll never go there again
