Opinions de Wildcrust Los Angeles
Delicious from start to finish. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Burrata, Meatballs, Pork Belly, and tiramisu, and everything was excellent—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The meatballs were especially memorable, and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. Add a little burrata to a bite of the meatballs for a perfect bite. The wine selection complemented the food beautifully. They were also very accommodating when we needed to adjust our reservation time, which we appreciated. Service struck the right balance—attentive without being overbearing. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the experience even better. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and will definitely be back.
been a long time since i really checked out highland park though my first residence after graduating college was in highland park. what a change in the scenery, especially among the shops and restaurants. if wildcrust is an example of the new places here then highland park’s future looks bright. i came here to try the pizza and it did not disappoint. there are, i think, six or seven pizzas and they are all slightly bigger than personal sizes but ideal for sharing. get two and you can share among two or three people. i went for the salame one which is more traditional but it has a slight kick to it, more flavor than heat. the crust was sourdough and i imagine it was either a coal- or wood-fired oven. thin crust, totally balanced and sublime. angelina the GM came by to check on me and convinced me to try the meatballs. they did not disappoint either. they were crispy on the outside so i imagine they were probably baked and then put onto a grill after. whatever they did, there was a ton of flavor. angelina is super warm and friendly and has a smile that makes you feel like an old friend. the place has a great neighborly feel. parking is a little challenging but a small price to pay. i will be back. what a cool find.
Fantastic food and what an amazing service! We enjoyed their meat balls, hamachi crudo and the signature Lamb tzatziki pizza, not to mention a whole lot of other delicious dishes on offer. Do not miss their famous fantastic Caesar salad with the perfect dressing, with the right amount of anchovies, flavoursome croutons and loads of fluffy Parmesan shaving to top it all off. Their homemade pistachio Tiramisu and strawberry sorbet was irresistible even after a BIG meal. Highly recommend!
This place blew me away. Ambiance was great and food was phenomenal. I expected the pizza to be great, and it was (the lamb tzatziki pizza is a must-try). But what really shocked me was how delicious all the other dishes were — the octopus was maybe the most tender I’ve ever had in my life, the cabbage was perfectly prepared, and the duck mousse with apple relish was a delightful combo. Highly recommend
You may be quick to classify this restaurant as simply a pizza place but it's so much more! The pizza is amazing but I'd like to highlight some non pizza dishes. Absolutely not to miss dishes: -duck croquettes (they take three days to make!) -Caesar salad (the best Caesar in the greater Los Angeles area, could eat a bucket) -duck breast (it is so hard to find duck in this city that is not grievously overcooked - this duck has a perfect crispy exterior and a perfect temperature inside) -grilled cabbage (sleeper hit) And as for pizza, if you're a meat eater make sure you try the lamb pizza - it's essentially a chef miles specialty. Cute decor, attentive service, and excellent addition to a dinner rotation. Date idea- have oysters and drinks next door at Queen St and come here for dinner!
Really nice place. Heated patio that's really cute. Good date spot. Parking is limited in the lot on a sat night. Solid service. Small menu just the way I like it. Get the Caesar salad! Trust. Everything else is delicious. Got the duck paté and the lamb pizza with tzatziki was a flavor bomb. Ok prices considering the quality. I'd go back easily.
Such a warm, cute spot for the neighborhood that’s also worth driving to from the westside! LA has def become a pizza city and Wildcrust will def make its mark at the top Great ambiance. I loved the pizzas, my favorite was the spicy one (Salame Picante) and the Marg although I tired all of them and they’re all very good. No weird pizza tummy ache afterwards as well. I think they ferment their dough really long and cook it just right to do this. Also loved the duck croquettes, the Caesar was BOMB and I def need that grilled broccolini dish again. We went all out and got the pork chop too. Super unique. You can truly taste the quality of the pork and the creamy beautiful beans (like literally gorgeous looking in color and pattern 😍) they serve with it. This pork is like nothing you’ve had— crusted in spices and grilled to medium. It’s juicier and more buttery because of this. And because of the quality of the meat, medium is as far as you’d want to cook it. Really primal and satisfying Wine… can’t even get started on the wine. Short, sweet by the glass menu had me happy as a clam. Everything we tasted was AMAZING. Loved the pet nat, the Lambrusco was dry and crushable. They had unique offerings on the wine list that hit every note you’d want for this meal. Dessert was so cute— tres leches from Porto’s!!! No line to wait in either Can’t wait to come back— so happy I got to come to this preview!!!
Wildcrust is another great addition to the Eagle Rock and Highland Park family because who doesn't like pizza? The food came out fast, fresh and delicious! Our server, Travis, was awesome as he kept checking on us with our needs during the whole time. For a group of four, we started with the very delicious Duck Croquettes. We then followed our chosen appetizer by ordering a classic Margherita Pizza and the Lamb Tzatziki Pizza. Feeling full and wanting to get something sweet, Travis informed us they carry Porto's Bakery's Tres Leches so we ended our night with a slice of it.
Went dinner with a few friends this week. Loved everything there — from pizza to meatball and buratta. Pork chop is simply heavenly — so unique, tender, and flavorful, unlike any pork chop I have ever had. What a gem! 💎
Delicious pizza, although our favorite items may actually have been non-pizza, the Caesar salad and the meatballs were so good! Great service and ambiance. Dedicated parking is limited, we had to street park.
I recently had dinner at Wildcrust and tried a little bit of everything on the menu—honestly, it was all incredible! Every dish had its own unique flavor and was super well-made. I started with the Meatballs, which were rich and had a slight kick from the chipotle tomato sauce. The Caesar salad was fresh, and the brown butter bread crumbs added a nice crunch. The highlight of the starters was definitely the Duck Liver Mousse—so smooth and flavorful, especially paired with the apple relish and ciabatta. As for the pizzas, they were very good! The Salame Piccante had just the right amount of spice, and the fermented chili honey really brought it all together. I also loved the Lamb Tzatziki pizza, which was super unique with braised lamb and a refreshing tzatziki sauce. Both pizzas had perfect crispy crusts. From the grill, the Duck Breast was cooked perfectly, super tender, and the duck jus on the side was amazing. Surprisingly, the Grilled Cabbage was a standout too, with the Pecorino and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette making it way more exciting than it sounds. If you’re looking for a great spot to try something different and delicious, I definitely recommend this spot! I was so excited to eat I forgot to take a pic of everything.
Popped in for soft opening the other day. Got crazy and ordered a whole bunch. I’m a sucker for the Salami Pizza, Duck, Caesar Salad, and Pork Chop!
Holy smokes! This place is GREAT! Food is ridiculously good. Great service by James. Cesar salad is amazing but the meatballs are off the charts. Congrats on your amazing restaurant!

Holy smokes! This place is GREAT! Food is ridiculously good. Great service by James. Cesar salad is amazing but the meatballs are off the charts. Congrats on your amazing restaurant!
Wow, what a place. The food is spectacular. Hamachi crudo (ciitrus and floral explosion in my mouth). The meatballs: high quality meat, extremely generous size, it’s a crave. Margherita and mortadella pizzas were sumptuous - the crust was chewy and perfect. We felt like an extension of family - it was like a welcoming home. Juanito, Luis, Christine, Samantha, Ivan, and Jordan were warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the experience. This is an absolute gem. To say bravo and thank you doesn’t do it justice! Make a reservation and GO!
Great service and the mood was very intimate. Their Brussels appetizer was so yum, not your average. We had the Marinara Pizza which was good (thin crust). However the Margarita is so delicious and filling. Their Cesar salad was another tasty treat. Parking is very limited but was able to park along the main street just a block down. We did make reservations. Thanks Wildcrust, we’re definitely coming back even though we live in the Inland Empire, you’re worth the drive 😇
This place was wonderful! We celebrated my fiancé’s birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond — they even gave us the best booth in the house. Multiple team members wished him a happy birthday, which was so sweet.😊 The food was to die for! We had the Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, burrata, Margherita pizza, and Funghi pizza — everything was absolutely incredible. We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for making the night extra special, Wildcrust staff!

Great atmosphere inside, hospitality was friendly but a bit rushed. It was a busy Saturday night but it did kind of give the vibe of “how fast can we turn this table.” Drinks were nice and reasonably priced. We had three dishes: 1) beets appetizer. I’d skip this one. You can’t see in the photo but the beets were pickled/marinated little 1/8 inch squares. Tasted like the canned kind. The beets chips on top were A+. 2)Honeynut squash. A+++ absolutely order this. It was amazing, crispy, sweet, rich, lots of flavor. One of the best things we’ve had anywhere. 3) Salame pizza. It was good, unfortunately didn’t blow us away. The crust was OK, but the pie was ruined by the sauce in our opinion. It leaned a little ketchup tasting and wasn’t our taste.
Been meaning to try wild crust for a while especially as a local resident of the neighborhood. My wife and I were about to go to bub and grandma’s new pizza shop on York but realized they didn’t have seating so we wound up here. The outdoor patio of Wildcrust is fabulous, vibey, and a local family vibe. Lots of artistic couples with their kids. We kicked off the meal with a watermelon salad which was very refreshing and tasty, the heirloom tomatoes in the salad were somewhat mid level in flavor. But that might not be the restaurant’s fault we are nearing the end of tomato season. We also had the artichokes which our server mentioned were more antipasti style, and they were a miss. They did not mention that the artichokes were Smokey in flavor on the menu. We also ordered the meatballs and they fell apart immediately and the texture of them was soft and underdone. Key take away is that the more adventurous apps on the menu are not your best move here, go for the Caesar salad and pizza, maybe even the grilled items. We chose not to go for the grilled zucchini because we were told by the server that they use a vegan gelatin in the cheese emulsion sauce which sounded not so appetizing. Next we moved on to the pizza which was solid, it reminded me a bit of the Roberta’s style pie. Small size pie but loaded with flavor, not quite at the level Roberta’s but enjoyable. Definitely will make a trip back here the wine list was expansive.
Arrives with the promise of wood-fired delights, but the experience is a bit like an uneven pizza crust—some bites hit the mark, others leave you wondering what went wrong. The space skews casual, a departure from what I expected. The service was friendly, though a bit green, which is understandable for a new spot. The duck croquettes started things off but stumbled. The duck flavor was lost in a cheesy sea, leaving a taste reminiscent of a hybrid mozzarella stick and fish stick rather than a croquette. As for the pizzas, the dough was the star—airy, chewy, and well-executed. However, they arrived disappointingly lukewarm, missing the piping-hot allure that makes pizza pizza. The margherita pizza was fine but lacked the vibrant sauce and rich cheese that make this classic shine. The lamb tzatziki pizza, despite an intriguing concept, fell short. The lamb felt like an afterthought, scattered on top like a garnish rather than integrated into the pie. Then came some redemption: the pork chop. Perfectly cooked and tender, with a tamarind glaze that struck a delicious balance of sweet and tangy. Paired with a fennel and persimmon salad that was bright and crunchy. This plate alone may be reason enough to visit. The grilled cabbage was another win. Smoky, soft, and paired with a pecorino sauce and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette. I could’ve used a bit more char though. Wildcrust has potential, but it’s still finding its groove. A good spot for a casual night out with some solid food, it’s worth a try but manage your expectations.
We got their margherita pizza, which was slightly on the salty side for me. It wasn’t worth all the wait we had to do. It’s a one and done visit for us.

I’ve eaten dinner here before and enjoyed it, but this time was pretty underwhelming. We were seated on the patio in the middle table despite there being many open tables around us. This middle table needs to go! It felt very crammed into the space and not enjoyable at all. The staff kept bumping into my chair on their way to and from the kitchen. I asked the hostess to move us and she agreed and we moved to a much better table. From our new vantage point, we saw that the very next couple that came in were seated at the same middle table and they immediately complained and were moved as well. We came for the duck croquettes but were told they were removed from the menu- which is an odd choice as it’s one of the most popular items in reviews. We ordered the caeser (which was really good), the buratta and the margherita pizza- all of which were brought out all at once or extremely close to one another which made it hard to enjoy everything while it was still hot. Also, kind of lame with the buratta that it has a huge thing of cheese, but only two slices of toast and half a peach for $28! The pizza was mostly soggy and cold by the time we got to it after the appetizer and salad since it came out about 5 minutes after they did. Service was ok, but all in all, the whole experience was kind of lame for how much the bill amounted to. There’s better much quality restaurants for the price
