While exploring Lu, my wife and I stopped at Ristorante Orazio for lunch and had an exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. Even though our Italian is less than perfect, they were very gracious and welcoming. The food was outstanding. A special highlight was the scaloppini, which wasn’t listed on the menu fisso, but our server let us know it was an option. It was absolutely delicious—fall apart melt-in-your-mouth tender, without actually falling apart. A true standout. Portion sizes were solid, if not a bit on the generous side. The menu fisso offered fantastic value. We were so full we shared a dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. We were already making plans to go back before we even finished our meal. I would highly recommend Ristorante Orazio to anyone visiting Lu or the surrounding area!

Absolutely perfect! We stopped in after discovering the winery nearby wasn't open and the food, service and atmosphere did not disappoint! I will be dreaming about the gnocchi for weeks and the salami was perfection. New ownership as of April 2025 and she was lovely! Highly recommend! ❤️

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening for my birthday. The food was truly excellent, Piedmontese specialties cooked to perfection. Very efficient and friendly service. The new management was a wonderful surprise. The owner, Ilaria, amazed us. With her kindness, preparation, and typical local food, she was able to enhance the flavor and quality of the area, offering us a rich menu in the Monferrato hills. As they say, preparation and a love of food come together in one of Italy's most renowned landscapes.

A stop during an excursion, but without the hassle of being dressed casually in a well-kept and tidy place. The appetizers were as good as they were beautiful to photograph, the first courses were detailed with a focus on local products, and there was a good selection of local and international wines. The service was very attentive, like in a high-end restaurant. The prices... perhaps elsewhere we would have saved a couple of euros each for the entire lunch, but the quality and experience were totally worth it.

Outstanding food and service. The owner treated us like good friends, so warm and gracious, and really helped us walk our stupid-American way through the menu without ever condescending to us. The food was TO DIE FOR. The fresh pasta in hazelnut sauce, made from hazelnuts picked about a mile away, was outrageously good. I would go back and back and back to this beautiful town and this wonderful restaurant.

Beautiful place, great hospitality. Anti-COVID regulations are respected. The food is truly delicious. The veal with tuna sauce tasted like butter, as did the tagliata. The pasta with cream, hazelnuts, and leek had a very delicate flavor. The fried white shrimp and anchovies were not at all greasy. We will definitely be back.

Purtroppo a malincuore devo dire che la mia esperienza recente non è stata un granché Cibo poco curato ma soprattutto tempi d'attesa esagerati. Sono all'inizio spero che possa migliorare.

Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere, but the food is too simple and expensive. 16 euros for a minced steak with 4 small potatoes fried in a pan and 18 euros for a tiny piece of salmon also accompanied by 4 small, unfortunate potatoes is completely excessive.

Che delusione! 😞 antipasto della casa striminzito (niente a che vedere con i classici antipasti piemontesi) , 10 alici fritte pagate 1,5€ l’una 😱.
