It's a cool bar not really my kind of place but it's pretty cool. Heavy smoke in there but they got pool tables and a good jukebox. Waitress is always on top of her game with getting drinks and they have food too I believe.

This is a nice little place to enjoy a few beers and play pool in the middle of the day. Even in the evenings it has a pretty relaxed atmosphere.

This is our regular bar. We've always had great service here and they remember your name. Prices are decent. Always an activity: pool, Golden Tee, trivia and poker.

I've been going to Chips for 5 years now, I've always loved the place. Bartenders and servers remember your name and drink, prices are always low. The food is very underrated as well, try the fried pickles.

If you're not bothered by smoke this is a nice fairly quiet place for a drink. Very good bar food too. Good table service.

I recently just started coming into chips. Within my first couple of visits I immediately felt like it was home. The staff is always so nice and attentive.

Went here for the first time today. Stacy was magnificent. Tanner and Jacob made me what can only be described as gourmet bar food. I basically came.

Total dive. Pitchers are dirt cheap. Not a bad atmosphere. Pool tables are coin operated but also cheap. Plenty of friendly patrons.

We love to visit chips when we are in town. There is not a better bar for service or pricing in Lubbock. The staff is awesome, friendly and respectful to each other and the customers! The food is also good, we would recommend trying the burger. There are TV's everywhere. This is a great sports bar!!

There are cheap tables, always table chalk available and if you have to use a house stock, they're fairly reliable and straight. The staff is knowledgeable, good at developing rapport and the service is exceptionally quick, especially in the kitchen. The place is also kept quite tidy and empties and trash is discarded by staff very sneakily. I don't drink anymore so I can't comment on the bar side of things but I'd assume it works close to the rest of the establishment.. Like a well oiled machine. Ooh, and there's also TouchTunes and that's always liberating. All in all a great place to go for a quick bite, some games or just a chat session with friends.

The service is always top notch, and I’m not gonna lie- Grant makes the best burgers in town. Jen always takes wonderful care of us, and i can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. They don’t tolerate fights, and they stick to their dress code for patrons. It’s an awesome, awesome place where I know we’ll always have a great time. Bonus points if you’re a pool shark!

By far the best bar in all of Lubbock, and most certainly the best bar food. It could be a restaurant all on its own without alcohol, and it would still be a hit. Mike Simonik is a miracle worker, super professional and extremely skilled at creating amazingly delicious food -- I was super impressed, and I happen to be quite the foodie! I'm also an assistant general manager at a fine dining restaurant nestled way up in the Rockies, so my appreciation for quality is keen. Mike prepared the best club sandwich (steaming hot) I've ever had in my life as well as the best patty melt, Whataburger or any fancy deli stands no chance when compared to Mike's creations! He puts his heart and soul into his cooking..... God Bless Mike Simonik and God Bless Chips!! THANK YOU

I sat at the bar top and the bartenders knew everyone’s drink order as soon as they sat down. It’s super ironic that a guy left a review about the same night. The guy who was also very disrespectful to the employees who were clearly very busy!! Great atmosphere, great service, and great drinks. Will definitely be back next time I am in town for work!

Updated review. Went in last night party of 8, our waitress Jen was ok at first then acted like we were a bother. Then decided she was just going to bring us our tab..because we had enough shots. 31 shots with a table of 8 is roughly 4 each. If I want to spend our money let us..

Red is our favorite:) the prices are good, and they've got touchtunes. (They turn off the touchtunes before 2 without telling you even if you spend the money of course)

Um way too quiet and boring!!! Been twice and both times had to go to bar to get a drink. Just seem more of a depressing atmosphere.

Horrible waitstaff.. Went into Chips with family from out of town. We walked in about sat at a table. It was pretty busy in there, sat at the table for 30 minutes an finally went to the bar. Stood at the bar for 25 minutes. After getting the guys attention we ordered 4 beers, gave him a debit card. Went back to the table, drank the 1 beer a piece an the waitstaff passed by multiple times never asked us if we were OK or if we needed anything. Made contact with the older blonde lady carrying drinks to everybody but over a period of 2 hrs no service no hi, very disrespectful an we finally were ready to leave the hole. It took waiting at the bar for 25 more minutes to get my debit card back. Then I was told "do you have cash our machine is down" WOW.. I didnt have cash, had to borrow cash from a buddy to payout an get my card.. Never again will I EVER deal with this immature people ever again!!! I will spread the news!! The ladies need to wait on customers instead of standing at the bar smoking!! Horrible setup!!!!!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Waited 30 For a waitress named Mia to come serve our table, THEN we went to order food and saw the cook literally grab his beard (no gloves, i might add) and grab some fries out of bad and drop them in the fryer. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, and to top it off, the manage did absolutely nothing to change it.

If i could leave zero stars i would i go in to have a couple drinks with some friends and a server named mariah asked if i wanted a drink i asked for a bottle of dos and she never brought it to me not only that i seen her go and serve everyone else but me and she kept making up excuses to not serve me even gave me an ugly look and attitude but to my other friends was friendly i dont know if it was a race thing but that was the worse service ever thos place has genuinely lost my business and has went down hill

The wait staff is full of thieves. Gave the waitress 40$ to cover a 22$ tab and she comes back with no change. I asked where is my change and she comes back with 30$ and said that was all I gave her. The only regret I have about visiting this establishment is not getting a name of the thieving waitress.

Used to like this place until recently. They've just gone a little too far with their politics and business practices. I don't agree with them and if you're a red blooded American and Texan neither should you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I just refuse to support a place that condemns someone for voicing theirs and allowing you to voice yours. Management here needs to change in order for this to change. Open your eyes- I don't recommend this place.

I complained about the queso and they did not offer a refund and so I asked if I could get something else for the same price they said no I would have to pay for it. Food sucks!! The chef hides in the kitchen so nobody can order anything anyway. Sucky place

The pool is awsome. Very quite at certain times. But the Service is horrible. I came in a a HR that was slow. I dont drink just ordered water because they didn't have Dr pepper. But I guess that's frowned upon because not once did I see a waitress for a refill. So if u expect good service go somewhere else.

This man had made advancements towards myself and the other girl with us all evening. While this can be expected of a bar environment, the waitress defended the man saying that he was “family” and that our group should leave. This establishment has always been credible, but I was very disappointed with the waitress and her behavior. No woman, or anyone for that matter, appreciates being grabbed or harassed without permission, regardless of the clout of the person doing the harassing. I understand keeping the conflict to a minimum, but I don’t understand allowing your customers to be harassed for any reason. When we asked to speak to a manager, the waitress could ironically not seem to locate one. Very disappointed in a bar that we liked very much.

this place is so nasty so smoky and absolutely needs to be torn down with the owner in it who apparently sits around and fills the bar up himself with smoke. Do not go to chips I would not recommend it at all.
