Opinions de Thai Thai Lubbock
This place will always be my favorite Lubbock restaurant. I remember when they moved from their tiny shop to their bigger building on 50th and slide. I got to eat there recently while visiting town, and was so happy to see familiar faces, and grateful that this family owned restaurant continues to share their amazing food with us!!
The owner radium has been taken care of our Thai food cravings for years! The pad Thai is my favorite thing in the whole world! It’s consistently delicious!
First time here and my belly is full! That's good. The service was good too. The guy taking our order walked away a two time to ask how much it was for an extra side. Learn your menu keep up the good work.
Simply the very best Thai food available in Lubbock. Authentic Thai food. I had the Artar and Thai Thai with Vietnamese coffee. The ingredients are fresh and crisp as are the flavors. They offer rice paper spring rolls ( not fried) on Sunday's only, these are a real treat dipped in peanut sauce. I try to try something new when I eat here but it's hard not to order the last great dish. I haven't found a bad one yet. If you want to try authentic Thai food this is the place to come.
Been coming here for years. The food is delicious and speaks for itself and the people that work here seem so genuine and kind. The young man who served my food today was so joyful, it made me smile. Today I got the #30 Artar. Sooo good!
My husband is a very picky eater but we came here and he fell in love with their food. Everything we tried was delicious!
My husband and I have been loyal customers at another local Thai restaurant for years. However, at some point, you just get fed up with the phone being off the hook! Called this hidden gem and they answered of the first ring! The food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back!!
my favorite place to eat since 8 years old . please don’t go out of business .
I love this place. I went to college in Lubbock and ate here all the time. The food is reasonably priced and is the best I have ever had. I always make it a point to eat here when driving through Lubbock. The Lad Na is the best and really you can't go wrong with any dish!
Numbers 17 & 37 are my go to. Best spicy beef noodle soup I've ever had. Number 37 is a spicy green curry with coconut milk, chicken and shrimp. Best Thai in town!
Love this restaurant!!! Have been going here with my dad since I was child. Have fond memories of this establishment. The owners are extremely kind and friendly! Absolutely love eating here....one of the BEST places to eat in Lubbock and family owned businesses!
I'm not real adventurous but I really enjoy the thai fried rice. Either chicken or combo and gotta order it hot. Always a great place but come early at lunch to avoid a long line.
The best Thai food in all of Texas!!! I have been eating at they restaurant for many years and I love everything about it!!!!! I strongly recommend it
Top 3 Thai food in Lubbock, quite possibly the best! The soups are amazing, Putt Thai is off the charts, sides are great... Haven't had a thing I don't love here.
This is my Sunday lunch go-to place with my husband. I don't even care that the decor looks like a little old ladies living room. The food is that excellent. Don't try calling in an order when they are busy because they won't answer the phone. But you can drop by and pick up take out.
Huge portions, definitely a great value, AMAZING flavor and spice!! My new favorite!
Thai Thai grows some of their own ingredients in the courtyard garden. The food quality is top notch; fresh and well presented. The staff are friendly and the clientele seem like regulars, with plenty of space in the dining room. Check their menu for seasonal specials, like a summer sticky rice and mango dessert. The kids play area is a nice touch for families, and they do have plenty of high chairs. Located right across from the Bahamas Bucks on 50th east of Slide Rd.
Best Thai in Lubbock! I love Thai. I seldom drive by a Thai restaurant without trying it. I have to say, there is some really good and unfortunately some really bad Thai restaurants in Texas. It is crazy how varied they are. But Thai Thai gets it right. I have eaten here a few dozen times and I will eat here every chance I get. Try number 17 spicy. The best beef noodle soup in Texas, maybe the world!
Haven't posted a review in a while but I definitely will start again, everything about this place is good, the food, the setting, the people, I got the pad thai basically which had it's own name and that was a 10/10 choice. I definitely recommend to both locals and tourists who want a more authentic thai experience.
The Drunken Noodles are where it’s at! Right now they’re only doing window or call ahead ordering. I had shown up and placed my order at the window. The gentleman who greeted me was kind enough to talk to me more about the food I ordered and make sure I knew it was spicey In about 10 mins my food was ready and drove home. When I unboxed the food was hot , fresh and flavorful. I’ll definitely go back!
A little bit pricey for the portion but so damn good will definitely be returning for thai tea if anything can find better pad Thai and in bigger portion for cheaper somehwere else but this is by far the best place to get Thai tea
My favorite Lubbock eatery. The people are very sweet too. In the picture is their #30. I ordered it to go and this is how it came. Taste 10/10 quality 10/10 service 10/10 !
my family loves Thai Thai! Very sweet owners and delicious food.

1 pad thai & 1 combination fried rice & fried pork wonton. It was all excellent. Fast & friendly.
Best Pad Thai ever and the mango sticky rice is a must! If your looking for authentic this is the place to be + fresh home grown organic produce can't go wrong*****
Didn't get to go inside. I ordered over the phone and I asked for hot sauce & soy sauce on the side. The man on the phone chuckled and told me he would give me hot sauce but not soy. I knew he was joking so I laughed. When I picked the food up at the restaurant, he smiled and waved a packet of soy sauce at me and told me he would give it to me but not to put it on the plate. I always taste before adding soy, salt, pepper, etc. And so far every place I have ever order from has not used enough soy sauce for my liking. However, this particular dish needed absolutely nothing extra and I understood what he meant about me not putting any on my plate. He must be the chef as well and he knew his food didn't need any extra soy or salt!
I got dishes #37 and #40 and the food was excellent! I got two dishes in case one was disappointing and I turned out to have extra for the next day. The service was drive-through only and the guy worked the counter seemed a bit stressed. I would recommend calling ahead to put in your order otherwise you might be waiting a while. Honestly the food hit the spot and I would highly recommend this place for those who are in the mood for Thai food.
I loved how the menu had pictures accompanied with the name of the dish. The pictures were really helpful for understanding what you're ordering. And they were accurate representations of what you'd get. I ordered a shrimp broth with rice (can't recall the name, number 35) and it was really good! There was way more shrimp packed in the bowl than I was expecting. I was really satisfied with my meal. I really appreciated the herbs used to make the food as well. I went with a diverse party of 6 and everyone else enjoyed their meal. We did get our food at different times but that didn't bother anyone. The sticky rice dessert was great but Ive had better Thai tea. Another critism I had was that you can tell the owner is very stingy. There were signs warning you not to take too many chopsticks and other things that were laid out.
The best people making great Thai food. A Lubbock staple. Try them
The food was excellent. Drive through only, which was fine. Employees wore masks, and even asked if we wanted to open our own bottles, wiped the bottle opener with a sanitized wipe, and handed us the opener to use in the car. We love Thai Thai! Come support a clean and responsible restaurant!

The food here is absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is a bit in disarray, and the kitchen looks pretty disorganized. The ordering system is clunky, and there is no good way to get drink refills. But that food, tho. It's just good.
I love Thai Thai! The Artar is one of my favorite things to eat, and it's always wonderful. I've eaten similar dishes in Thai restaurants across the US, but never found one as good.
We eat here at least once every two to three weeks. The food is always the same which is excellent. This is a place that is always packed during their open hours. All items on the menu or consistent and have been for all the length of time they have been in business. I'm guessing we have eaten there for at least 6 to 7 years and the food has never changed. It is always great to know that it will come out to our table just as we expect it.
We tried out Thai Thai on a bit of a whim, craving Thai food and not being able to get through over the phone to another of the local Thai restaurants. We had trouble finding a readable, accurate menu online (facebook page was our best bet, but small blurry print made things difficult still). Even so, we got the Pad Kee Mao with pork, the Tom Ka Kai (chicken), and the Panang Curry with beef. All were very delicious--the Tom Ka Kai would only be enjoyable if you like the strong taste of lemongrass. But you could absolutely tell that everything was fresh, homemade, and authentic. We did pick-up, everything was ready in the time they said it would be, and very delicious. It satisfied our craving for Thai food, and we will be back. Portions are not as big as some places we've been, but for the price it seemed equitable.
I like this affordable delicious Thai place ! The only thing that went wrong was when they put the hot wonton soup in a styrofoam cup, it will be served as "melted cup wonton soup" cuz the cup cover melted due to hot Temperature. Overall it's a great customer service and a very reasonable price. Try the #34 chicken coconut soup #9 and #13 wonton soup
The food here is good, but portions are small. I'll eat my entire order of pad Thai in one sitting and still not be totally full. The line is insanely long at lunch and on Sunday after church lets out.
Wow. Lubbock, TX has a hidden gem for Thai food. This place is authentic and is not the American version of Thai food. You won't find a red or green curry here... Because this doesn't exist in traditional Thai food. I ordered the wontons called Thai Thai. They were good. I then ordered a coconut chicken soup and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You won't be disappointed. Also, they have a garden outside and they grow their own food that they use. Cool concept.
Yesterday I wanted to try something different so I went to thai thai , it was my first time being there and everything was delicious. The man was friendly and efficient. I will definitely go again. I got the genghis khan beef and the spicy beef noodles

Have been coming here when in Lubbock for over 10 years. Food is great tasting as always, but they are now doing drive in pickup only which is not a problem except that they take phone off hook when a little busy. If you can't get thru be prepared to wait 30 plus minutes after you put in your order at the drive in window.
Thai Thai used to be one of my favorite before, but nowadays I feel a deterioration in the quality of their food. Recently I took one of the curries which was supposed to be nice tangy but turned out extremely acidic sour that I could not eat it. Also, they are not very happy if you come around 20 min before the closing time and you will know it. Thai kitchen or Thai pepper is the place I would recommend for a good Thai in Lubbock.
I was told that this place had good food. This was my first visit to this place and my last! They have their menu posted on the wall with the number (#38), name, and ingredients listed below. The dish I ordered came out with things in it that make me physically sick. When I took the dish up to the counter....thinking it was someone else's....I was told.... no...that is what you ordered. I pointed out that it had cilantro and noodles in it, but those items aren't listed. I was told that I had to pay for another dish. I pointed out that the cilantro and noodles aren't listed in the description and was told that they don't have enough room on the board to list everything. Really? They wanted me to ask for a dish to be made with things that weren't suppose to be in it in the first place and then pay for it AGAIN....REALLY?
We made a big takeout order, $100+, every single person had stomach issues the next 24 hours. Someone mentioned this place changed after the original owner was no longer around. I had never been here, I hope it was much better back then. I will not return. Chicken fried rice has more onions than rice and the chicken was so dry! I couldn't believe all the chatter I've heard about this place. Truly dissapointed!!

Every time we order our order as always incorrect, and the owner always tries to argue that the order is correct. I know what we order.
Ordered the shrimp pad Thai (might be spelled wrong) and it took almost a hour to come out. It also only came with one shrimp. Also noticed the workers handling food from the back and then bringing food out to the floor without washing hands in between. Some of the noodles were overcooked. Its also a shame that you have to buy drinks individually which means no free refills so by the time you have gotten your food your drink is already gone. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. There are better Thai restruants out there.
This business should close. It’s obvious the owners do not care to ever open the restaurant to the public as it’s pick up only since Covid. Pre Covid it was decent… owners are nice to some people and others they are very rude. Mams and Thai pepper are much better.
The food is very good, but THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! Ray, the owner is humorless and the staff will ignore you at the drive-up window. If their Tod Mon and Artar weren't so good I'd tell Ray to take a hike.. he needs a new session at Charm School. One more consideration: they don't answer their phone when they're very busy..
people who gave this place a great review probably never ate at other Thai restaurants before. the restaurant looks fancy from the outside, but was really shabby from the inside. the only good thing about this restaurant was I didn't have to leave a tip. food was not Thai style at all, more like Chinese. my tom yum soup was really salty, and the portion was fairly small considering the price. I've had better quality and quantity Thai food before in Chicago for the same price. I'm not going back.
