If you've never been to the Cracker Barrel in Lufkin, you have too! It's very homey because of the people that work there. Everyone is friendly and the coffee is delicious!! I enjoy my food but try not to go too overboard 😋 The Old Timer's breakfast is just the right size. Remember meals come with a plate of biscuits and a bowl of gravy!!! Yum!!

On 7/23/2025 I had the pleasure of having lunch at Cracker Barrel old country store Lufkin, Texas. We had a fabulous waitress name Gabby, she was very tentative per our request. Gabby answered our questions and knew the menu like the back her hand. But what we loved about Gabby was her infectious smile the whole time there enjoying the always perfect prepared foods ever.

Great food tonight! The new menu has a lot of great options, including old favorites. Our waitress, Imani, was so accommodating, even with all of the add-ons and changes. So kind and professional. :)

Ok, so I'm biased. I am a regular. If you like country food, the location in Lufkin is definitely a go-to must. The employees are super inviting and the food and retail managers Krystal and McKinsey are the most down to earth and awesome people. I can't go in there without feeling like I'm surrounded by close personal friends. The service is amazing, the food is fantastic. If you've never tried Cracker Barrell, there's a variety, so you're not always stuck with breakfast or not breakfast type meals. You can mix and match pretty much anything. The tables all have peg games that keep my kiddos occupied during the short wait for food. Theres this awesome fireplace that gets lit on cold days that, no lie, I'd love to have in my living room, that gives the dining area a homey feel. And don't get me started on the little novelty store attached. I could go on forever. Seriously, if you've never been to this location, you're missing out.

Met up for our ten year anniversary from graduation and it was super chill. I'm a Cheddars fan but this is my second so sorry for not 5 stars, but I gotta reserve that for Cheddars.

The food was amazing and the price are great. Good service too. Only issue I had was check out. Cashier's are super busy and my cell signal was horrible so I could not pay online. Great place, I will be definitely coming back.

We had a delightful experience today, all thanks to our waitress, Amy. With a party of 14, she handled all of us and every need we had with grace and joy. She was attentive, kind, funny, and really really good at her job. Safe to say she's the best waitress we've had in the last year, if not ever. Top notch! The manager was really great as well, checking on us in the middle of our meal. We don't live in Lufkin, but when we visit our family, we typically end up here. This visit was 1000% better than any other visit we've had and we appreciate it. Kudos!

Just want to take a moment to shoutout Jagger and Addison at the Lufkin location. I went there yesterday on 8/23 with a group of 10 of my classmates. They handled us with care and were so sweet to us. The general manager was the icing on the cake. Food was great and the service really shined. I rarely write reviews but had to take the time to show love to both Addie and Jagger ❤️❤️🙏🏾

This place is well run and efficient. I had the double meat breakfast and added a side of the hash brown casserole. Wow! everything was perfectly cooked and delivered quickly. We had a friendly, knowledgeable server that was very attentive. Had breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Saturday, December 11, 2021. The place was packed and the hostess told us there would be a 15 minute wait. I thought she was underestimating, however she was right on the money. This is my favorite place for breakfast. It is available anytime of day. I particularly like sitting in front of the fireplace.

I can't even express how happy and cheerful the employees were here at 8 am! ❤️ My server Loyce, knew I was gunning for a latte before I even spoke! She did a fantastic job of taking care of us! Absolutely a wonderful start to my day. The food was great, so was the cinnamon roll latte. Ohhh and they have big hunks in the store which are so hard to find these days! Savannah S was our server. She was a delight! She was very polite and efficient and had a great personality. The restaurant had only two servers the night my friend and I ate there. I know the servers were both very busy but Savannah S was as calm and patient and kind as she could be. You would have thought we were the only table she had to serve. What a refreshing change to have a server like her as opposed to some other restaurants where the server seems as if it is a problem to have to do anything. I have to say that all of the employees in this restaurant/store are very polite and always willing to help!!

Came out late for dinner with my family and had a great evening. All 8 of us ordered something different and it turned into a share and tell of sorts as everyone began talking about how good their food was and then bartering with each other.lol Savannah was super attentive as our server, but I have to admit, we nearly ran her to death back-and-forth to the kitchen. She was such a good sport about it however, and never once showed an ounce of frustration. Towards the end of dinner, a manager named Sarah came over to check on us. We ended up having a fun conversation with her for about five minutes with quite a few more laughs to add to our evening. All in all, I would rate this location a solid 10 out of 10!

From the moment my guest and I walked in, the service was impeccable! Everyone was so friendly. They got my day off to an excellent start. The breakfast was delicious. The entire place was clean and our server Morgan was on top of everything. This was our first visit to Cracker Barrel and we almost went twice in one day because the food and the service was stellar. We had the French Toast and Chicken. It was fresh and delicious and they kept the fresh brewed coffee coming! Kudos to management and staff at this location - job well done! I’ll be back!

It was my first time eating at Cracker Barrel. The food was amazing and our waitress, Kelsey was beyond exceptional.

Predictable food. The prices are getting higher while servings are getting smaller. Not what it once was. There are better options for less. We go there to see my family made games on the tables with the golf tees in the holes. Turn it over to see my family name.

The food was (chicken fried steak and gravy) was not as good as many other local places. The hash brown casserole was okay. And now service people are told to only bring x number of biscuits and corn bread and not any while you wait, but with your meal. I guess people weren't eating it? Eating too much? Just not as good as it used to be

The food was good, as always. We were seated quickly. Our waiter was a polite young man. He wasn't very thorough, he kept forgetting our order and when we asked him to bring something to us, he would either forget or not remember. Cracker Barrel usually has great service. My first time to experience this with Cracker Barrel. Not sure if he was new or just wasn't sure of what he was doing.

Had a wonderful waitress Ashley! Was a delicious breakfast! Not 5 stars because they had a limited breakfast for some reason "until the new year". Love going through the shop!

Food was really good had chicken breast, fried okra, and a salad. The salad was $2 more or, my meal would have been Around $10. Came with biscuits too. The saltines that came with the salad were very stale. The wait staff was very attentive, professional, and friendly. There was one other diner in there so the place was empty- guess it's true what is being said about the failed marketing idea losing customers. This has always been our family trip place to eat because we always knew what to expect. Cracker Barrel was always worth the wait. The outdoor rocking chairs that used to be full of diners waiting for their name to be called were empty. Sometimes you need to be happy with the success you are having and not change to appeal to a crowd that wants 5 brother's burgers and a dining experience like every other restaurant. Appealing to younger people on a date or grabbing a bite to eat was never going to be the cracker barrel crowd. Cracker Barrel was where families went on a trip across the country and where you met up with grandmaw for lunch after church. If it works, don't change it. Love browsing and purchasing fun things at the old time store and the staff were amazing.

This is meant to be a dining experience. I wouldn’t advise choosing this location if you’re in a hurry or on a limited time frame. The food is better than average but not anything to drool over. Their specialty teas are unique & refreshing. Service is a coin toss. You either get an amazing server or the slowest inattentive server; no in between. Enough registers for checking out that you don’t have to wait too long. The store of course is great and nostalgic. The food was a little disappointing. The menu boasts thick-sliced bacon. However, it was paper thin. I asked for it well done, and it came out barely cooked. The gravy for biscuits was bland. The price was reasonable and our waitress was great.

I ordered online because I was in a hurry. I was told it would be ready at 130. I arrived a little after 1:30 Although the young lady at the front desk was helpful--my salad and appetizer was not put in my hand until 2 :30 pm. The restaurant was not busy. I had paid for the meal--or I would have left. Nothing was wrong with the food except the extreme wait time.

Waitress barely spoke, could not be heard, rushed by the table each time she passed, like she did not want to assist anyone. I asked what the soup of the day was, she said she 'did not know'. Never asked kitchen staff, never mentioned it again. Brought me something I did not order. When I questioned, she said 'they were out of dumpling soup, so we substituted'. I was never told, never consulted. I left my table x 3 to go to the kitchen entrance; once to ask for napkins, once to ask for ketchup, once to ask for to go box for my daughter. Had to ask for straws, that took another 10 minutes. My daughter asked for chocolate cake (her birthday), she never responded, never returned to the table. We eat here on a regular basis. Think I may be done, never been this bad before. Also, party @ the table beside us, as well as the table behind us, got the same treatments.

My husband ordered Steak & Eggs for breakfast. He requested the steak to be cooked medium rare, but it came out well done. The wait time for the food was also very long. Several tables that arrived after us , received their food before us.

Fried Turkey was hard, over cooked. My friend fish was over cooked. Like in old grease.

Mine and my family’s experience was not the best. We had to wait for a while to be seated and the restaurant was not full. Then we had to flag someone down to get service for our table. We waited about 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table. Then when our food was served, some orders were incorrect. We were never offered refills a drinks and when we asked for something, the waitress seemed annoyed and had an attitude. Finally, while we were in line to checkout, we heard the waitress loudly complaining about the tip left on the table. I’m not sure how much was left because we all paid separately and some put cash on the table and others, like myself, were tipping from a card. My cousin and I both heard the waitress and upset us both. I was going to leave a tip from my card even though our service was not great at all but I decided not to.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience overall this visit even though most of our visits are usually good. But mainly wanted to compliment Evie. She was not our server but she was quick to help when she realized we were not being attended to by our own. She helped get everything we needed even though we were not her table. Thank you Evie!

Upon entering, no hostess was at desk... waited several minutes until our server, Chevy, seated us. During that wait, two employees walked by and didn't acknowledge us. Chevy was very pleasant. We had Uncle Herchels and Grandmas Pancakes. I had the chicken strips and didn't like them. A weird wetness to the meat. Grits were runny. Biscuits good. Hubby liked his pancakes. He requested poached eggs but was advised they don't poach eggs. Overall, disappointing experience. Music too loud. Fireplace full blast and giving off a gas smell.

I placed an order on their app. The price shown for the Vegetable Platter was $7.99; however, I was charged $9.99. That is the price on their menu I was told so the app price needs to changed. My veggies & fresh cinnamon rolls were cold because they bagged them underneath the cold meal I also purchased. My order was also 20 minutes late. I usually make an effort to eat at Cracker Barrel when there's one nearby but this was just an all around disappointment.

My husband, four of our grandchildren and I are eating brunch at Cracker Barrel. The restaurant is crowded and noisy. Our waiter is soft-spoken and difficult to understand, due to the noisy background of loud country music and people speaking loudly to be heard at their tables (which echos through the restaurant). There are no prices on the kid's menus, and the menus are not clear as to drinks not being included with kid's meals. This needs to be corrected, as it is off-putting to large families on a budget. The water is filtered and tastes very good. (Lufkin tap water smells and tastes gross.) My husband and I are enjoying cinnamon roll lattes. One grandson is enjoying a Stewart's Root Beer. Ella (my granddaughter), David (my husband), and Emma (my granddaughterr) are having fun with the Jump All But One games, at our table. Our food was hot and fresh. My Sunday Fried Chicken, pinto beans, and cornbread muffins were delicious! My husband and I were served doughy, undercooked dumplings. We sent them back for fries. The fries were good. Ella and I liked the biscuits, but my husband found them undercooked in the center. Eedan (my grandson) loved his sliders and fries! Emma and Zander (my grandson) loved their confetti pancakes and bacon! Ella loved the bacon breakfast sandwich, too! Zander also enjoyed the hashbrown casserole, which the rest of our table abhorred. Our meal was hit and miss, but more hit than miss. The well-lit, free parking lot is clean. The restrooms are clean, well-stocked and have large, comfortable stalls. After a terrible Easter Eggsravaganza in Lufkin, with green-shirted church volunteers pushing past children in line to get Easter eggs to put their children first, we ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel again. I got the worst tasting strawberry mimosa ever - no sweetness, strong rock-gut alcohol taste, and I immediately sent it back. Our waitress did not remove the mimosa from our bill, so I deducted the cost of the gross, undrinkable beverage from her 24-percent tip. The food was fresh, hot and delicious, though.

My mother had never been here, so I took her to have the most greatest pancakes after having a rough day. Our waitress was very sweet but when ordering our food we tried to order dinner sides and was told we could only have breakfast sides if ordering breakfast foods (so no worries) we asked her what were the breakfast sides and she only told us about the premium sides (which we didn't realize were a thing) so our meal was $40 instead of $26. Which wouldn't have been a big deal either except the waitress acted like she told us it was an upcharge when she definitely did not, and the manager acted like we were in the wrong for even saying anything.

Always pretty good for breakfast a few years ago. Went recently one day for lunch, and wow, how terrible. The chicken fried steak was actually a small frozen meat patty, something you'd find in a TV dinner or middle school cafeteria. Food had a funny taste, sort of a plastic taste. Potatoes were watery and runny. Order took forever and they weren't even that busy. Won't be back probably, definitely not for lunch.

It was approximately 12:30 when my friend and I arrived. It took about 5 minutes for the hostess to seat us because she was looking at the iPad to figure out where to seat us that wasn’t dirty. The area in which we were seated, had a very table dirty and very few people in the entire restaurant. The hostess cleaned our table but seemed a bit put out. We thank d her and she moved on. There was another 10 min wait for the waiter to arrive and we were ready to order and got drinks. We were given no flatware or napkins and had to ask for them. They were dirty, water spots and a little bit of residue on them. We each used the condensation off our glasses to wipe them down so we could use them. The mashed potatoes that came with the lunch meatloaf were cold. I couldn’t eat mine and neither could she. The meatloaf, had so much filler in it that I had abide reflux all the rest of the afternoon. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought our tickets and my friend asked for a to go glass of tea, he brought her an empty cup. Her teas glass was empty and didn’t bother asking her if she wanted a refill. We left. No we didn’t leave a tip, in my opinion a tip is based on service. He didn’t provide any.

We ordered pancakes and over medium eggs. They brought one plate of eggs and then about 5 minutes later they brought the pancakes, they were flat, hard and cold. I always love y'all's pancakes but they were not good.

We ( party of five )went to Cracker Barrel in Lufkin for dinner Sunday evening. Everything was slow, the waitress was slow in taking our orders, getting our food and getting us our check. Our waitress visited our table once during our meal. The real problems came when they served us our food. The orders were incomplete and when we ask for the rest of our food the waitress told us they were out of it. No gravy for our biscuits, no jelly, and no coffee creamer. We had to ask for syrup for our pancakes. I was dumbfounded, Cracker Barrel sells jelly and gravy mix in their store as you walk in. As we were getting ready to leave our waitress brought out something she called gravy. It was water thin and had no taste. We informed the hostess at checkout about our experience and she promised to let her manager know. Probably our last visit to Cracker Barrel. Too many other places to eat in Lufkin to go back there.

Me and my hubby love to go to Cracker Barrel. It’s like a family nostalgia thing. However, we’ve seen the service rapidly decline in this lufkin location. It wasn’t a busy night and we saw our waitress maybe 3 times. We waited about 45 minutes for our food… then had to wait for utensils, drinks, etc. There were two couples next to us who had been there equally just as long and NO one went to there table. Finally, someone told one of the waiters, “these ladies haven’t had anyone wait their table.” We finally waived down someone and asked for our check, only to sit there for another 45 minutes waiting. I give it two stars because our food was delish. I love Cracker Barrel’s, my family has traveled all over the US and made it a point to stop at-least one per state, on our way. So I’m very sad to see this one represent the family atmosphere so poorly!!

I love Cracker Barrel so I really hate to complain but this location was really bad. When the server brought us the bread it was cold and the butter was frozen. The server brought us another basket of bread and again it was cold. There was four of us, three of us ordered the chicken fried chicken with different veggies. Our chicken took forever to come out It wasn’t cold but not hot either. The chicken was so overcooked it was to hard to eat. One of us ordered the fried okra and fries. They were ok. One of use ordered cream potatoes and green beans and both were ok. I ordered the carrots and potatoes with white gravy and they were good. But none of the food was hot. The sides were warm. The server never refilled our drinks. And the youngest ordered grilled cheese with fries. Again not hot. So only the sides were good. To top it off they were not busy yet.

Picked up a to go order and some of the biscuits were ice cold like taken out of a freezer. They forgot my blueberry syrup which was on the order. They also forgot the plastic wear which was also on the order. I had to go back in for the syrup and plastic wear. Mainly upset I got inedible biscuits until I get home to heat up that I paid extra for. So if you do Togo double check food before leaving.

Not sure what’s going on here. Unfortunately our lunch service was super frustrating and disappointing. Everything took forever from being seated to checking out and literally everything in between! We got the lunch special hoping for a somewhat quick lunch but that was not the case. The food finally arrived and was probably warm when it left the kitchen but due to a lack of silverware it sat on the table for almost 5 mins before someone brought us some and that was only after we went to the kitchen door and asked a manager. Everyone sitting around us all had the same problems. There were even people leaving after waiting an hour. This was no crazy rush like a Sunday lunch time and there seemed to be a fair amount of workers present. Pros- Food had descent taste Cons- Extremely Slow Service Flat Soda Cold Food Due to Slow Service Everyone around us was grumpy Long checkout process because we couldn’t find our server and didn’t have a ticket which frustrated the cashier and was being rude to us because it caused a problem Hopefully they get it together and get some staff training for the kitchen and the dining room ASAP.

The restaurant wasn't very busy. My 15 year old daughter and I ordered. They brought me my meal but t not my daughter's chicken and dumplings. I ate all of my chicken fried steak meal and my daughter still didnt have her meal. The waitress had not come back to our table to tell us why. I went to kitchen door and waited for her and told her to make the dumplings to go. She saw I was upset and said she would fix us a to go meal at no charge. She brought us dumplings and drink to go. I have never had this bad of service here before.

Came here for a solo breakfast. Joaquin was an excellent server! He was prompt, very friendly and welcoming! The food was just such a let down. I ordered an egg biscuit and added a sausage patty & cheese to it. I noticed right away the cheese wasn’t even a little bit melted, rather just slapped onto my breakfast biscuit right before it was sent out. I was starving when I came into the restaurant so when that biscuit hit my table I demolished it. Well half way through I actually looked at my food and the meat was raw. I literally went home and made myself throw it up. Next time I think I’ll just stick to pancakes.

This is just not a good location. Was not busy at all and was probably 15 minutes before someone took our drink order and another 10 before we got them. I asked for a plate of biscuits and that was a problem. Apparently they dont give them out until they bring your meal now? And when they came they were dry and hard little hockey pucks. Not the fluffy pillows they used to be. Then two of our mains were wrong. Chicken fried steak instead of fried chicken. Additionally my pancakes had this strong garlic/onion flavor. Probably cooked next to something else and cross contaminated. 80$ to be disappointed. I won't be back. Quality has gone downhill. Prices have gone up and service was terrible.

I placed a to go order and here is how it went. The order was suppose to be ready by 2:23pm. I was suppose to receive an email with a link to check in once I got to the restaurant. At 2:13pm, I received an email asking me how was my order. I of course have not received my order yet. I get to the restaurant at about 2:25pm. I never did receive an email with a link to check in, so I called the number to tell them I was here. I received my order about 2:35pm. It was a large order, so there is no easy way to check it at pickup. When I got home, I discovered that we were missing the following: 1. A side of gravy 2. Butter and sour cream for a baked potato. 3. Order of 4 extra biscuits 4. There were 4 meals ordered that should have come with 4 biscuits and 4 corn bread muffins. I only got 3 biscuits and 8 corn bread muffins. 5. I ordered jelly and butter and received 24 containers of jelly (I asked for 12 jellies), but no butter. My wife attempted to call in to speak with a manager about the order but after 5 minutes on hold, she hung up. We like Cracker Barrel, but the odds of actually getting your to-go order right is 50/50 at best. All the missing items were clearly listed on the receipt and someone had highlighted every item, but they either did not check or more likely did not care. I did include a tip with my purchase.

Went at 10am on a Sunday. Restaurant was about 1/4 full. Took 45 minutes for 2 of us to get breakfast brought to the table??? Watched two tables just get up and leave. It was a cluster for no reason. Not a manager in sight.

1. We where seated quickly 2. We sat for 15 min before any one came to take drink order 3. After 20 min I had to call a waitress to let her know we where ready to order. 4. We waited on the food for 45 min and it came out warm. We order you Thursday special.

We had to request a lot of stuff like napkins biscuits and jelly, and also extra syrup twice and coffee refilled, but now she didn’t have a problem giving us our ticket and we don’t know how she has three stars because she didn’t do what we asked a lot and we don’t really want to go to Cracker Barrel again

I placed a to go catering order for pickup on 1/3/25 at 10:30 AM. I arrived at the store at 10:30 and was told my order wasn’t quite ready. I then waited 10-15 minutes and the cashiers called the kitchen to ask again 3 times with no answer. Then a manager came out and asked if my order would’ve been under a different name or was I sure I placed the order. I had already been waiting for almost 25 minutes at this time. She then went back to check on the order and never returned. A different lady came back later and stated they were still waiting on the cornbread and that she could bring the order to my car. I went to wait in my car and waited for over 15 minutes. I then went back in the store and waited another 10-15 minutes as I was told the order still wasn’t ready. They then brought the order out after I had waited a FULL hour. I never received an apology or any kind of compensation or anything for the inconvenience or for the lack of professionalism. I have never been one to complain, but I felt that I was not treated with respect and did not appreciate the service from the staff that I received. I was trying to pickup food for a grieving family who had just lost their loved one.

This was the worst cracker barrel we have ever eaten at. Hour and half hadn't gotten food. Once food came everything was wrong. Smart mouth manager. Other guest start walking out. We will never stop here to eat ever again while traveling to Houston, Texas

Worst cracker barrel experience ever. My family will never go to cracker barrel in Lufkin TX again. We waited for over an hour for our food. Then it came out cold. To top it off, our 5 year old's burger came out raw in the middle. Manager acted like she didn't care at all when we talked to her. Didn't apologize or offer to fix it. She literally nodded her head and looked like a deer in the headlights. Turn back now. Don't go here.

Food quality has diminished significantly the past few years. With all the internal woke policies becoming public, we definitely wont ever go back.

I was about to give a 5 star, right up til the moment they made s huge freakn deal about gravy with chicken fried chicken. Keep your gravy, I can make my own at home and probably even better. Customer service can quickly make a great experience horrible. Btw, management can thank who ever was in the kitchen tonight.

When I tried calling to speak to a manager not one was available to talk to me. I’m sick to my stomach!! It’s 5 pm don’t think managers are too busy to answer my calls! Yes I said calls because I called twice and still didn’t get one on the phone! I was asked to leave a message even after I told the 2 different ladies that answered my calls.

The French toast was slimy somehow, I don't understand how they managed that but they did. And that's not even the worse part. We had a 5 year old girl with us who ordered a burger off the kids menu, she took a bite and showed us the inside and it was raw. When I say raw I mean raw, not just a little pink it was completely raw. She did not finish it and thankfully the we got the manager to take that off the bill. However, speaking of the manager, she was terrible. When we were talking about the burger to her she wouldn't even look down at it, she didn't apologize or saw anything. She stood there like a deer in headlights and I honestly don't understand how someone could be a manager if they can't handle the situation they put themselves in. I say that because we said we were going to leave but she assured us that the kitchen manager was going to be working on our food personally, why they weren't doing that in the first place was beyond me. So if you're looking for reviews about cracker barrel in Lufkin Texas, my advice is to just pass by it and get something actually worth your time and money.

Waited an hour and didn't get our food. The waite staff did tell us it was delayed but after waiting approximately an hour we notified the staff we were leaving and left.

We went on holiday so expected them to be busy but it was absolute chaos!! Not just busy! They were out of chicken strips so we had to change 2 entrees - couldn’t get fried or grilled chicken strips. We could get lfried / grilled chicken breasts. We were at the table for almost an hour before food started trickling out. Last entree arrived at table 10 minutes after others had finished eating. Side dishes came out after entrees were finished and we didn’t receive 2 extra sides at all. In the over 2 hours we sat waiting, our drink glasses, tea / water, were only refilled twice. This is the last time, I will try Cracker Barrel on a holiday.

A tree fell on electric line and we had no electric. Ordered dinner from here, the soup was cold like refrigerator cold, the biscuits were hard, the meatloaf was rubbery and the grilled chicken was also rubbery w no taste even tho it was supposed to be smokey flavored. We tried to salvage it by eating the potato and dessert. It was awful. My mother loves food, I've never seen her not eat something we paid 50 for..HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. All the times b4 were good, but the entire meal was fed to the dogs except potato. Our waitress argued when we were missing a side to one of our meals. The manager I spoke to after bringing up the issue has some opportunities in the line of customer service. When told about a missing item in our meal and that we would still like to have that item brought out when possible, we were met with more arguing and it never was brought out to us. I ordered country fried steak and received a hamburger patty fried as if it was country fried steak. Beef yes; but different parts of the cow. Every item on my meal was cold except the country fried hamburger patty. I assume everything was ready except for the patty and sat on a table while it finished cooking. Horrible customer service, food was eh edible.

I give the Lufkin Cracker Barrel a NEGATIVE 3. We was seated for over 15 minutes. NO SERVER OR MANAGER came to our table. As we was walking out the door a manager said oh no one came to your table, we said nope and continued walking out.

This place used to be good. Past several times I’ve been there the service has declined. Decided to give it another shot. The food is rarely good anymore. We had placed our order and it was slow but had waited twenty minutes before we got our food. The customers behind our table were served before us. The server not once came to check on us or tell us why our order hadn’t arrived. It was only when I questioned how much longer so that I could cancel and leave is when she decided to check on our food. Told us the cook over looked our order and made the other tables before ours. Had to rate one star otherwise I couldn’t rate this place. Hopefully others have a better experience than we did.

Placed a Togo order. Parked in the curbside checked in on the app twice. Waited over 25 minutes for my order. Called multiple times and was placed on hold . Both associates gave me the runaround . Second time I was able to get a hold of someone I asked what was going on what happened with my order apparently my ticket was lost. I asked to speak with a manager. Then I got hung up on . Third time I tried calling back the line said it was not able to let me speak with anyone. Poor customer service . They don’t even deserve a one star

I always tip whenever go to any restaurant. But by the end of our meal we tired a different waitress. Our waitress need a different position. Wait 45 for food that was cold cuz she was only focused on different table that was same race as her.. worst place and experience I ever have for a $60 bill. Lucky I even paid only ate few bite s and was disappointed

If I could rate this store with zero stars I would. We had a very inexperienced server, which I don't mind because we all have to learn at some point. However, she had no guidance or oversight. We waited for 40 minutes to get our food the first time but we had to ask one of the multiple other servers around that I assume were supposed to be providing that oversight. When the food was finally brought out it was incorrect and cold so I sent it back to be "remade" the exact same plate came back to me with the same incorrect order on it so clearly it wasn't remade. Not to mention it was only half of the order being so called remade. Then the biscuits and gravy finally came out (after I sent my plate back again) and half were literally cold enough to have been just out of the refrigerator. At this point I asked for the manager, the server tried to send me the same person that brought us cold food the first time even though I could see the manager right there. When he came out I made him hold a cold biscuit in his hand as I told him we were leaving. His only response was - "Is there anything I can do? I can go back there and make it myself." No thank you. Also, why does atmosphere get a low rating you might ask? Because we sat at the first table in the place right beside all the crosshatched wooded 1*2 boards. They had so much dust in between them that they looked like they had never been cleaned in the history of the restaurant - and no, I'm not exaggerating. My next report, after trying to tell the public on here, is to the health department.

Service was horrible. Waitress didn’t bring out silverware or check back in on us. She disappeared. Our food wasn’t right. Burger was missing bacon and mashed potatoes was missing gravy. Gravy was gross. Was expecting so much better but won’t be back.

This place will absolutely rip you off on anything you order to pick up. Not only do they forget to put food in, condiments, etc that you have either paid for or specifically ordered but the serving sizes are criminal. I'm livid because this is not the first time they've done this and we hoped they'd taken this to heart to do better. That's it. My husband drove one hour there and an hour back to get dinner for 3 of us. The Mac and cheese my son got in the 4 veggie plate was as non existent as my 4 veggie plate of turnip greens are. Look at this! This is supposed to be 4 full servings. It's right at 1 cup, for all.of it! Spread out thin on the plate, no juice, dry and sparse. There is no universe this is 4 servings in. They're doing this deliberately because this is a habit now. I cannot drive 2 hours round trip to get this fixed. All of our dinners were rip.offs. Cracker Barrel used to be out favorite place. Now it just leaves a bad taste in our mouths. I can see why there are thousands of bad reviews.

Took a few minutes for the host to come and seat us, and we were the only ones waiting. The dining room was nearly empty, only 2 other tables and we were seated close enough to touch the next guests even though the dining room had ample space. As we ordered we were informed they were out of nearly half their menu items- that’s fine, I understand it happens. But then it was 15 minutes until we were served corn muffins (no rolls, they were out of those as well). I thought this would mean they would be fresh. Nope. Cold muffins. Food arrived about 30 minutes after ordering, not a big deal, I’m not in a rush even if there were about 12-15 staff for the entire 8 guests in the restaurant. But then our “upgraded side” of loaded mashed potatoes were served cold and stale. At least the main course was fresh. Seemed as if the staff were all in need of a manager to supervise them since I saw more fraternizing rather than working as we were seated so close to the kitchen.

Food took 40 minutes to come to table. Just a handful of people in dining rooms. When the food did come is was poor quality like hospital food. Dumplings was pure mush flour boiled in a broth. They say they make everything from scratch. That is not true. Prove me wrong Cracker Barrel manager! My opinion is this... don't bother with this place. To my 47,000, this year followers stay clear until they can prove me wrong.

I asked my waitress 3 times for some coffee and never got it. I asked another waitress to tell my waitress for some coffee still none. It was not very busy but took a long time to take my order. It was way too loud in there so I left and never got any food nor coffee. Terrible service. I was really looking forward to eating here. 😪

The service this morning was almost nonexistent. My wife and I waited to be seated, (they were not busy) then waited 20 more minutes before seeing a server (I had to ask the hostess if we had one when she sat another table nearby). The biscuits were hard as a rock and overcooked, the coffee that I ordered took a long time to arrive, and no creamer was offered with it. It was the worst experience I've had here by far. I even deleted a previous positive review to post this one.

This was the most disappointing experience I have ever had at Cracker Barrel. Our table of 5 waited up to 45 minutes and did not receive our food. Our waiter was rude, distant, and he only asked if we needed water, not refilling our beverages. We left because our food never showed up. The manager apologized, but it was too late at that point. We will never come back to this location again.

Not sure what's going on with Cracker B. I've visited two of their locations recently, including the Lufkin location. The waiters/waitress were great, however, the food was nothing like it use to be at both locations I visited. The pancakes are smaller and perfectly round like pre-made, and not fresh. They also tasted like they were heated in a microwave and were rubbery. The biscuit basket has a big hump underneath to give the optical Illusion that it's full, when it's not. The hash brown casserole tasted stale, and the grits were cold. I use to love going there because it reminded me of my grandmother's house in the country when I was young, especially with the big fireplace going in cold weather. I read they are trying to bring in new customers with a brighter interior and food changes. That's great, but you are losing the older repeat customs because of the food quality. Please undo the recent changes y'all have made with the food, and serve it fresh again.

Our experience had to be one of the worst we've had. We were set in an area with no waitress. Then the bus boy came and helped us. We got our drinks no napkins no biscuits no cornbread. Then a manager from the back came took her order, 45 minutes later we still did not have our order. I went to the kitchen I went in the door and I saw our tray of food just sitting under the heat lamp so I asked the main manager Melissa when were we going to get our food and I told her how disappointed we were in the service. She had someone bring it out to us. My mom got the chicken and dumplings and it was basically water in a bowl. She didn't eat it we took it home to the dog. My chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes was cold, ate half of it took the rest to the dog. All of this and the manager did not even take the meal off of our ticket we paid full price for such a crappy service. Unbelievable! However the store section was very organized, very clean. The man help me check me out was very nice.
