This is a well-kept old-school Chinese/Japanese food restaurant. The dining room is large with very pretty decor featuring paper lanterns and soft lighting. The service was perfect! The waiter brought over a pot of tea, water, and fried noodles right away. Took our orders promptly. The lunch specials had generous portions and were delicious! I had beef and broccoli with brown rice. My husband had eggplant and zucchini in garlic sauce. The prices were also great. There were many vegetarian options as well. If you are in the area, this place is highly recommended.

I love a classic Chinese restaurant that isn't just a takeout spot. All decorated for lunar new year this was a treat to visit with the whole family. The children received red envelopes when we arrived (which they were thrilled about). The service here is friendly and attentive and the food is great.

I went to So Far So Good and it really was good! The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant has a cozy, family atmosphere that I loved and definitely makes me want to come back. The only downside was the cosmopolitan I ordered—it was a bit watered down. Other than that, everything else was great!

The food from here is amazing. Except for one thing. The fried wontons. Way too hard and absolutely no meat. Today they were so damn hard that my dental implant came out. And it's about the size of the amount of meat they give you. Sorry for the tooth in the picture but it really pmo. Besides that their food is probably the best around. They have the best boneless spare ribs I've had at any take out place. Fried rice is great. I would not recommend their sushi. It's really only the fried wontons I don't like. They will break your teeth and you will get an insulting amount of meat in there.

Went for lunch. The decor is awesome and the service is really good too. The food was okay. My favorite part was the duck sauce and the fried wonton chips they give you to munch on. Egg roll was freshly made. The food was okay it would’ve been a 5 but the fried rice is premade so it was cold. Other than that the service was on point.

I had mixed feelings about this place. The food came out very quickly, which is a plus, but unfortunately the quality didn’t really stand out. Everything tasted like very standard Chinese takeout—nothing bad, but definitely nothing special or memorable either. One of the biggest disappointments was the honey mustard sauce. It was extremely spicy, to the point where it was unpleasant and hard to eat, and not at all what I would expect from honey mustard. On top of that, I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and my request was simply rejected, which felt unnecessary and unfriendly, especially for a simple sauce request. Overall, while the speed was good, the food and service didn’t meet expectations. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants that offer better flavor and more accommodating service, so I don’t see myself coming back.

So Far So Good – Long Island, NY I visited So Far So Good after hearing a lot of buzz online and from a couple of friends. The name itself is clever and inviting, and the space definitely has that cool, trendy vibe. It’s the kind of place that feels like it’s trying to offer something different—something more modern and stylish than your typical café or brunch spot in the area. And to be fair, it succeeds in a few ways. But overall, for me, it was a mixed experience—hence the 3 stars. The interior is nice. Clean lines, good lighting, and a kind of laid-back, “Instagram-friendly” atmosphere. There’s greenery, cute tables, and a warm, welcoming layout. It’s a spot that makes you want to sit and stay a while. A lot of people were on laptops or hanging out with friends, and the place definitely gives off a creative, slightly upscale coffee shop feel. The service was okay. Staff were polite but not very warm or enthusiastic. It felt a little rushed, even though the place wasn’t packed when I came in. I didn’t get much help when I asked for a recommendation, and the whole interaction at the counter felt kind of transactional. Not rude at all—just not the kind of customer experience that makes you feel like coming back right away. As for the food and drinks, they were good—but not great. I ordered a specialty latte and a sandwich. The drink looked nice and had a decent flavor, but it wasn’t as rich or smooth as I expected based on the price. The sandwich was creative in concept but felt under-seasoned and small for what I paid. Portion sizes across the board seemed on the smaller side, which would be fine if the flavors were outstanding—but they weren’t. What really stood out was how slow everything came out. I get that places like this try to focus on quality over speed, but even with a relatively quiet crowd, the food took quite a while. It didn’t ruin my experience, but it definitely made me hesitate about coming here if I were short on time. Prices were on the higher end for what you get. I understand this is more of an artisanal or boutique-type spot, but when the portion sizes and flavor don’t match the price tag, it’s hard to fully justify it. So overall? So Far So Good is… okay. It’s not bad by any means. The space is lovely, the vibe is nice, and the food/drinks are acceptable. But nothing blew me away. With a bit more attention to service, consistency in food quality, and maybe some adjustments in pricing or portion sizes, it could easily become a favorite spot. For now, it lives up to its name—so far, so good—but not great. Would I return? Maybe, if I’m in the area and craving a chill space to sit for a while. But I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Just to come here for a dinner. Reguardless if its a holiday or not. ALWAYS PACKED! 3 hours for one god damn table is OUT RENDOUS! This is why i go here on a weekday! Where its not as packed. Food is great! Service is NOT.

I came to the restaurant and placed an order. When I got home 10 minutes later, I realized that an order was incorrect. I also smelled the bad because it had a strong cigarette smell. Like Marlboro. I dont smoke and have asthma so the smell was easy picked up. The smell is also stuck to the bag. It was awful. I called to ask an exchange for the food and request assistance. The lady was rude, she said they were closed, the order was correct and then hanged up the phone. I don't frequent this place but it's Monday and the similar restaurants are closed. Very awful experience. No customer service.

The food is DROWNED in GREASE -terrible - it tastes decent but the oil is dripping! The fried rice on the other hand was very dry - ugh! The dumplings were mostly hard dough -very little filling! I love firm dumplings but these were firm because it was mostly dough. FIND ANOTHER RESTAURANT! Good service

The smell of this restaurant will beg you to come inside because of how good it is, it's very important you ignore it because it's very deceiving. It's very possible that I got the wrong thing.. but I doubt it. Extremely overpriced, no seasoning, wings were not fried well, very soggy. Customer service was however very good.

it's like my guts are a dryer and the sushi is a pair of timbs. oh my days. scallion pancakes tasted like old oil, miso soup tasted like amniotic fluid, sushi was ok but now is ravaging my bowels, margarita had a maybe 3% alcohol content, salmon teriyaki was "OK could use salt". i don't know what was on the lettuce. the duck sauce is very obviously applesauce based. the server was nice but really slow. if you are an old white person this place is probably fine but unfortunately i have left long island before.
