Lynbrook Bagels

Was very busy on a Saturday morning but the service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Was out the door with my order in less than 10 minutes. Try that at bagel gourmet, not gonna happen. This place is the best in the area hands down!

Perfect local bagel shop in downtown lynbrook. Lots of parking behind the shop. Delicious, fresh bagels with lots of interesting coffee flavors to try as well. My go-to local shop for bagel mornings.

Great food that's always fresh. Service with a smile. Lots of options to choose from. It does get a bit crowded from time to time but that's only due to the high demand! Great location too.

Excellent bagels, excellent service. Mom and pop bagel shop staffed by hard working high school and college kids. My first recommendation to anyone looking for bagels in the area.

I love this bagel place. The bagels are delicious. Just the right size and not too soft and overly doughy. The coffee is amazing. They have a huge variety of hot n iced n different flavors. My husband loves the muffins n scones. They also serve soups ( seasonally) one is better then the next bt, I highly recommend the chicken chili. Plus it’s a cool vibe. Everyone who works their are very pleasant.

They had a nice flavor but it is more like a lender's bagel then a ny/homemade bagel. I think it would have been better if she had made it how I asked extra extra toasted. Unfortunately it was barely toasted The Bagel was as white as it was when it went in. The cream cheese was actually really good and complemented the bagel well. I would return just because the service was so friendly and the coffee was so good I would just hope that they make the bagel how I like so I can give it a fair judge. Overall nice little shop ,some parking out front, other little stops and such to walk around in the area. Would return if in the area

Literally one of my go-to bagel spots (trust me there aren't too many). Besides the lines that form around lunch time (kids coming from nearby schools) and on the weekends (line hits the door!) this place is great. I enjoy the bagels and all the spreads, they're well made and have flavor. There's hot breakfast sandwiches available (example: egg and cheese) and whoever cooks does a really good job. Iced coffee flavors are always rotating and they're actually really good, too. Most importantly: service is always incredible. Dine-in area is kept clean. And prices are fair. Did I mention they sell doggie bagels?

The best bagels on Long Island hands down! And the reason I keep coming back - the best flat bagel anywhere. These are not "flagels", these are REAL flat bagels. I think they hail down a steamroller every morning... nothing but crust. Which is all I personally want in a bagel. This is a small, family owned shop and has a great neighborhood feel to it. Nice selection of hot and iced flavored coffees and great soups in the winter. A few small gripes: despite the "up with the times" look, it's cash only so don't let it catch you by surprise, and the staff could be distracted, especially in the afternoon when things slow down and there are a few part-time high school students minding the shop and no price board as another reviewer noted. But all-in-all the bagels more than make up for it.

Another premium benefit is that they have a grill so you can order breakfast sandwiches that aren't precooked and microwaved to make hot. It’s 8am and the place is basically empty. Maybe it’s the lady behind the counter, maybe it’s the socks for sale. Also a BEC and a small ice tea costing 16.47 is insane.

Nice spot, small iced coffee being $5 seems a bit over priced. Tasted more like water than coffee. Good bagels. Kind employees.

Bagels aren’t special. Also, they stop serving egg sandwiches after 11am on Sundays. What bagel place does that? Weekends during the late morning and early afternoon are probably the busiest time. Not the brightest business practice.

I came here this morning and was expecting an enjoyable bagel and coffee. What it ended up being was a waste of $16. I ordered a bagel with egg and avocado and for my wife I ordered a bacon egg and cheese both on Bagels. The bagels have this chemically stale taste and it was absolutely little to no taste from the food that we ate. The avocado was most like guacamole and not in slices like I specified. The only thing that was good was the two cups of coffee that we ordered. I'm hoping if I ever go back again, which is unlikely, that the experience will be different. Very disappointed.

First of all CASH ONLY. That's for my fellow plastic users, good thing I started carrying a $20 bill for this type of situation. So I ordered my usual that I get from bagel places, eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese SPK on a bagel. The sandwich had an off flavor, I don't know if it was the bagel or the ingredients in the sandwich... It was not pleasant to eat, I only ate half. The coffee was watery, not good. I will look for a better spot whenever I'm in the lynbrook area.

Over $10 for an egg sandwich on a bagel. Other stores in the area are charging $8. Other stores in the area also open at 5am…. Open at 7am on the weekend is a joke. You guys know people wake up early right?

I come for a sunflower seed flagel, it is tasty and worth getting. Their iced coffee flavors always sound appealing. So of course i order the iced coffee and “how do you like it?” i like it light and sweet. Please tell me what bagel shop puts a layer of sugar bottom of cup in a cold drink (obviously the sugar won’t dissolve). How is anyone supposed to drink this?! Also a few times I’ve asked “can you please melt the sugar” and always the response is “ we always do” well look at this layer and this is after I’ve gone in the car and tried to mix it myself. The layer was a good amount taller. The people at the counter, can’t say they were rude, but just not a good feeling leaving. Will not be coming again, caution on the iced coffee if you like it sweet.

The owner was very snappy and had a bad attitude, which ruined the experience. The rest of the staff was nice, but the coffee has gone downhill and is always missing sugar no matter how many chances I give it. Not worth coming back.

Scones are flavorless and hardly any berries inside (3.5 blueberries in the whole thing). I am new to this place, and it may be an institution, but the quality of the goods is no longer worth your money.

Extremely unorganized, pretty rude and condescending. Asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese and was not told that they only do Canadian bacon. I only found out because another customer was told this after ordering the same. Coffee was decent though.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. This struggling Lynbrook bagel store serves earful bagels. I ordered Tuna salad with a bagel which was premeasured however did not cover the bagel. The tuna tasted like it was the lowest grade canned tuna you could buy. Don't go here you will be disappointed.

Not sure how this place has so many good reviews, this was the worst bagel I ever had. I couldn’t even bring myself to eat it.

This must be the place where the airlines buys their bagels. Dense dough balls - just terrible. Cut one open and look at it - no air pockets just wall to wall low quality dough.

My experience in this place was horrible. The server was handling the garbage when we walked in. She did not wash her hands when she made my food. And I asked for a toasted bagel, and she did not do it. Observe them if you will continue to go to this place. This place doesn't always follow food and health regulations to keep its hands clean and sanitized before serving the food to the public. They are in food safety violations. In addition, they have poor customer service.

Save yourself the trip not worth it. The bagels are like rocks and the service is hardly fitting of the charm of the rest of the town block. I’ve never had to explain a need for forks or spoons when buying salads yet was questioned as to the need for them. They also do not have rolls which is fine but if you’re going to only sell bagels they should be at least of decent quality.
