Small place but great food! Service was excellent and prices were average for nowadays but again the food was excellent.
We had a party of 11, and they made room for us they even asked a couple of they could seat them in a different spot to help accommodate our party, they did and the manager gave them an appetizer on the house for being so kind. The food was super yummy,a must go to place for a full bar and great seafood. But the burger was a handmade patty abd x man was it good. Not gonna lie the prices were great too.
Surprisingly good seafood! I have to admit I was apprehensive, but the food was amazing. Esther is the friendliest and most efficient server I’ve seen in years. All the employees were friendly, and all 6 of our meals were delicious and nicely served. I understand why my in-laws eat here weekly and we will be back whenever we are in the area.
When I saw the Outlaw Seafood memo online, I had high expectations and they delivered above and beyond. If you want an awesome dining experience you have to try it out for yourself. The food was exceptional, and was able to talk with the owner Pedro for for a bit. I’ll be back this month, Y’all rocked it……. 6 stars for sure
First time here and I very much enjoyed the food here!! And the cucumber martini! 😆 service was excellent, my waiter was very attentive to my experience here.. small town, that packs a hell of a seafood restaurant . I totally recommend this establishment! High five to the owners and staff and if course......The Head Chief! ✊️👏
We went for a late lunch but ordered from the main menu. Everything was tasty. The sweet tea wasn't diabetic sweet and maintained the bite that is signature to black tea that is often lost with overcooking or burning it. Our little ordered from the kids menu- and almost went for the chicken pasta but switched it up last minute and ordered his go-to, chicken tenders. The fries were so hot and crispy, they were the seasoned breaded kind. The hubby and our teen ordered chicken fried steaks, one had a side of rice, the other mashed potatoes. The only down side was it wasn't big enough for their appetite. Neither had anything left on their plates. I ordered the Outlaw burger. The meat was juicy and had flavor without having to add anything. I also ordered a mixed drink- casuelitas. It had a nice balance of sweet, sour, and spice. We will be pleased to go back. And a plus- they don't use latex gloves!!!
We sat at the bar everything was great except no air movement. The fan in the corner was to close to ceiling! Did not give it enough room to get any air behind it to push out! Other than that the food was great and the beer was cold.
I love their shrimp cocktail, it's just the right spicy taste for me. The margarita was delicious also.
This little restaurant bar and grill has an awesome staff. The food is great me and my family love coming here for dinner or to pick up one of their delicious burgers on the way home from work
I love that they have variety on their menu and no matter what you order, it’s good. 👏🏼 highly recommend. Especially if you like seafood.
If I could rate higher, I would. First time eating here and showed up with a group of nine. They were able to accommodate and our waiter was absolutely awesome. The food was excellent. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The Boudin, the Ousters Rockefeller, shrimp and crab, shrimp and sausage. There was only one hiccup and that was an add on was missed on one of our dishes. The issue was resolved quickly and they gave us a free dessert to boot. I’m definitely going back soon.
Had a business dinner and their menu selection is amazing!!! Drinks are also good and customer service is A-1.
Good food, great happy hour deals. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Friday evening, so no big deal. Our waiter was very friendly and was hustling (he might have been the only waiter for the whole restaurant that night). Recommend 👍
Excellent! Place has a new staff but same great quality food and drinks. The staff was attentive and friendly. Loved the fact that they offered me a sample of a creole dish to sample and the chefs made it spicy.... Amazing!!It worked. I ordered it and I enjoyed every tasty bite. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Not dry or undercooked. Loved it. The drinks were also done right. Can't go wrong with the cucumber martinis. Try it,, you'll like it! Go and sample this friendly, clean and nice restaurant. Two thumbs up... Way up. -martinanto
Mouthwatering, melt in your mouth good.,The chef is amazing I have eaten here twice both dishes were amazing not your typical bar food. Seafood dishes are delicious 😋 Nicely sized portions definitely will be going back
Love this place! My husband and I frequent the owner’s original location in Von Ormy (Route 35 Diner attached to the Shell on 35) and we were so excited to try this one closer to home! His other location is primarily Mexican food, but we can say with certainty that he’s good with seafood too! After a short 15 minute wait, my husband and I were seated and started with the calamari that also had some fried squash and carrots, all very good and crispy. I also was happy that our calamari didn’t have any tentacles in it, I won’t eat them (lol). I ordered the shrimp brochette, and they were delicious. Bacon was crispy, cheese was hot, and they were amazing. My husband had the special of the night which was a 12” NY strip with caramelized onions and mushrooms. I tried to get a picture of it when it arrived but he immediately dove in, and was not excited when I asked him to stop for a photo because it was so good. Steak was cooked exactly to his request, medium rare. The whole experience was very pleasant. Service was great, food was even better, just an all around wonderful experience!
The food was very good! The crispy crunch on the chicken fried chicken was perfect! Kiddos and hubby were happy and full! We shall be back for more indeed!
My husband and I decided to visit a local restaurant. When we walked in, the restaurant had a modern saloon feel. The customer service was excellent. You have plenty of choices on the menu. Top shelf margarita was delicious. I had two.
Y'all, this place is delcious! We were in the area but will continue to drive out again! From the A1 service to the mouthwatering dishes! We had the seafood platter, blackened fish, and the kids loved their chicken alfredo, spaghetti, and cheeseburger!!!! A must try!!!

Great drinks and amazing food. Great prices and wonderful service . Perfect place for date night

This was my second visit to catch up with friends and I have to say the food is a pleasant surprise, not what you would expect from a small town "bar and grill". There's a bit of everything on the menu- salads, seafood, both fried and grilled, pasta, chicken and steaks. I chose the chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes and the house salad. The Marsala was delicate and not overly sweet, the chicken tender. The potatoes were good though not quite warm enough. Even so the meal was enjoyable and I would like to try one of the other dishes.
Five stars! We first discovered this spot when friends invited us to join them, and we were blown away by how good the food and service were. It’s rare to find a place where everything is this affordable but still high quality. We’ve returned multiple times and it never disappoints. Don't skip the drinks—they are great!
I'm local to the area and I've dined at Outlaws probably 20 times since they opened on Main St in Lytle and this is about the only place that I have eaten multiple times and never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the staff is tops and the prices are reasonable. ( IF You get the daily special it's as cheap as taco belle or what a burger)I have left there satisfied every time.
My husband and I were in lytel doing a job and was looking for somewhere to eat . Drive by and had to look you up to see what you served and was sold on the stake my husband ordered the prime rib stake and I ordered the shrimp Alfredo. We also ordered the artichokes and spinach dip . can say is the flavor in all the dishes were outstanding and we will be back .
Today is my birthday and I am an empty nester. Not wanting to cook, or leave home after I got back from work, I decided to door dashed me some tasty bites. Boy was it tasty! I ahd the shrimp and crabmeat entree. The shrimp is cooked to perfection. I live in Castroville and have driven by this place before but this is the first time ive had theor food. Definitely a repeat customer!
I wish I took a picture to share, but the Oysters Rockefeller were AMAZING. I was absolutely amazed at how good this small country town seafood place was so far from the coast. I will definitely go out of my way to visit again.

The food and service was great. It was a bit loud due to the small size of the restaurant and hard to have conversation. All in all I will I will be back for the food and will recommend it to others.
Three of us ate here for $100. I was very pleased. There was only one server and she was handling a pretty full room AND working the bar. I don't know what they pay her, but she needs a raise. Will definitely be back.
Sunday afternoon dinner around 4:30 pm. Lots of seating available. Expansive menu and full bar 🍸 available. We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer this was good but less in quantity and added in more fried veggies with a spicy marinara dip. I had the fried shrimp and fish with a baked potato. It was really great. This off the beaten path place is a great place to enjoy a cozy meal and drink.
First of all, when the menu says choice of sides, it normally means pick from any of the sides offered. Not here, your only choice of sides, without an upcharge are the potato or rice sides. We ordered the Fried Fish and Shrimp plate and the Outlaw Shrimp with crabmeat. The Outlaw Shrimp with Crabmeat was delicious! Came with 7 very large shrimp and plenty of crabmeat sauce. Spicy with red pepper flakes. Only problem I had was the crab meat had not been cleaned of the shell/membrane throughly, so I was picking that out of every bite. The Fried Fish and Shrimp was a basic dish without much flavor. Disappointed the fries were seasoned fries from Sysco truck type, which we don't care for. Would love to have had fresh cut fries instead. But the serving size was large, with plenty to eat. Service was very pleasant. We would come back to try some of their other dishes.
Myself, my wife and son had a great lunch about a month or so ago, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of menu items. Not too bright and not too dark inside. We had Ribeyes cooked very near perfect, oysters on the half shell were good quality, the place was clean and friendly enough staff that we will definitely return, might even go tonight for an early dinner. I highly recommend going here, to anyone close by or not so close to.
Nice watering hole with great service and good eats. Stopped by during happy hour for a drink and some takeout. The crab cakes were magnificent, and the other items were pretty tasty as well. The service was the highlight, kind, and helpful. Would definitely recommend for those in the area or those just driving through
I was pleasantly surprised by the food. If I go to a new seafood location I always try their shrimp cocktail. I ordered the small, and when it came out I was blown away by the amount that was given. It was so much 2-3 people could eat off of it. I was expecting a small portion that came in a cocktail glass of some sort, but no. It tasted great as well with the lemon squeezed over it added an extra kick. I also ordered the fish al mojo de ajo from the lunch menu, I didn't ask what kind of fish it was when I ordered, but in the end it didn't matter I tasted amazing. The bottom had a nice pan seared crust, and the fish was deliciously garlic buttery. I opted for a side of their version of dirty rice. Again, it was really good a long with the fish bites. The roll served was a soft honey butter flavor. It also came with a few vegetables, to me that was a waste on their part because the felt more decorative or as a filler rather than something to eat. Upon check out I was charged 13.99 for the lunch menu rather than the 11.99 that comes with salad and a drink. I also ask the young waiter what kind of fish it was and he told me swai. Hmmm wasn't expecting it to be such a crappy fish being served. The young male waiter was on point answering questions and being attentive to his table. There weren't many customers in the establishment. The I would have given more stars, but for the general public coming in and eating I would have a rage of items on TV to watch, but they were only playing the soccer game and it was all in Spanish. Some other options would have been nice. The other issue I had is that while I was eating the staff and the owners wife were doing a complete overhaul cleaning of the floors with a mop, and of the bathroom with the door open scrubbing the toilet. Yuck not what I want to see or smell while eating. To me that should have been done before or after hours.
Great food and service. The Chef does an excellent job matching flavors, food and presentation. Anytime I return to Texas, even near San Antonio I'll be back to enjoy other available dishes. I didn't ask for the specials that I missed out on. Two areas that can enhance the experience: lower the speaker volume a few notches to allow conversation, and fix the table so it doesn't wobble.
4.6 Overall Hands down best food/service nearby. If I could give any criticism I would say they need to add full descriptions to their menu. Because unless you ask for the full low down of what it is you are ordering you may end up with some fried jalapeños in your calamari or a steak absolutely covered in grilles onions that you had no idea about, not complaints just suprises.

Salmon was good but veggies had an up charge. Alfredo was perfect serving size. Place is small with restaurant & bar w/tvs. Meal delivery time was reasonable & servers were attentive. Good food & casual atmosphere 👍
While it was very tasty, the meat was tough... The potatoes and gravy were good, the biscuit was good, but the lemon and cucumbers were useless and the cucumbers were not crisp at all... Overall it was seasoned very well and I will probably return and try something else because the waitress was very nice and attentive to our table... Waitress gets 5 stars easy...
This place has great food and they definitely make the drinks worth it but the service is not the best, the older man serving me and my husband(I think he’s the owner) was not responsive at all just seemed like he didn’t want to serve us at all. The bar has fancy tables and plates but other than that the rest of the place still look like it’s under maintenance. The food made up for it for sure. TDLR: poor service, mediocre atmosphere, great food
First time here and there was only one waiter working on a Monday! Danny H had great attitude did his best serving us even though he was the only waiter taking care of 5 tables. I asked for wine and there was none available so I just ordered sweet tea. Waiter suggested the Bourbon fish (snapper) I hate to say but the fish was dry and overcooked. The purée I did not like on the fish. I still can’t figure out the puree on top of my fish but did not enjoy it so I took it all off. My husband had ceviche and chips which he had no problem with it until he at the serrano pepper. Never had it with Serrano pepper in any ceviche I ever ordered! The crispy fresh chips were delicious and the mash potatoes . I also had a calamari but negative on the marinara I’m assuming it was from a can and had a mound of red pepper on top. I substituted that for Ranch which did much better with the fried calamari and mixture of fried zucchini. I was told chef has been there for 4 years but do suggest when you serve cucumber as a garnish to remove the skin it had a bitter taste to it I could not swallow it! Sorry not sorry. On a positive note I loved the bar area with all the bottles on back shelves against your wall but noticed your draft beer is not behind your bar! Draft is stationed at the waiters computers out back by your kitchen! Next time I will stick to a Ribeye and bake potato but did not see a baked potato in your menu! I loved visiting your town super cute town! I will be back to try your steaks! Hope I will have a better experience next time.

I've been here 4 times. Split a burger with my husband and some spinach and artichoke dip. Was very good, next were a snack (just ok ceviche) and drinks and lunch and drinks. Then we went for lunch again we were told they didn't have any wine and almost no beers, also the lunch prices had gone up by 2 and 3 bucks in a couple of weeks and was told out of salad and bread. Limited choices that had increased in prices and 76.00 dollars for lunch!! Just felt super disappointed! Gonna have to say not again!

It took 45 minutes to get my salad and an hour and a half for my entree. When my entree (chicken parm) finally arrived, the chicken was tasteless and disappointing.
The man took forever for refills,my wife did not like the flavor of meat in the hamburger, the tea was not sweet enough. But looked like the people that were at the bar were having fun.
Food was delicious However I was on my lunch break, the service was as slow as molasses and it seems I was overcharged. There is a huge sign on the window that says lunch specials are $11.99 and I was charged $13.99. If your prices have gone up, then take the sign down. It is misleading. False advertisement.

Called about the order being wrong after waiting almost an hour and the owner himself telling me himself that he wouldn’t fix it if I didn’t come right back in for their mistake, I’ve been managing restaurants for the last 16 years and this is not how you treat someone who has come to you one and time again. I just don’t worked a 11 hour shift and waiting almost an hour and you want me to drive back immediately to get it fixed or you can’t help me ? Jesus. That’s not okay I came back here to get my food remade and waited 20’mins for them to tell me I had To get up and go somewhere else. Super passive aggressive. And the when I asked for a redid. They gave me 7 dollars back, not what my meal was worth. After 3 years I will not go back and I will make sure those who know me personally won’t either. Pedro, the owner himself was never once apologetic. Shame on you
Overcooked seafood. Had to wait to see the server again, over 10 minutes to get anyone's attention. Seems as if the bar is what matters to some people in there. I've been here a few times and this is the worst experience I've had there. Will not be returning for sure. Prices went up, service went down and food quality is lacking at best.
