Recensisco il ristorante, non ho provato le camere. Ottimo cibo, come sempre. Faccio sempre un po' fatica a rinunciare alla polenta e tappelucco, per provare i vari altri, ottimi, piatti. Buono il vino e la birra. Comoda anche per una colazione al calduccio, mentre magari i figli fanno lezione di sci, dato che si trova di fronte alla partenza della seggiovia e di fianco al punto di ritrovo delle scuole sci.

Ottimo pranzo di sabato 19 giugno in una cornice splendida di sole e montagna. Pasta alla Macugnaghese, ottima Polenta al gorgonzola buonissima così come la Polenta alla salsiccia (rossa). Tavoli spaziosi e accoglienti. Tutte le norme rispettate. La signora un cucina credo la titolare molto alla mano e professionale. Anche la signora in servizio così ciné Marta alla sua prima esperienza sono top. Prezzi correttissimi

Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante sabato 7 gennaio e il locale si è presentato da subito accogliente e curato. La cena è stata ottima e il servizio molto buono. Tempi giusti. Porzioni normali. Punto strategico proprio accanto alla seggiovia/pista da sci.

For lunch on January 1st. The service was courteous and prompt despite the swarm of skiers on the ground floor. We ate lunch upstairs in the quiet, warm wooden dining room. Well-prepared traditional dishes and a good selection of cheeses.

My home in Macugnaga, in Pecetto to be precise, The Locanda is a super hospitable place. I left crying at the sadness of having to leave. Our experience was wonderful. Our room was number 1, clean and smelling of fresh wood. The bed was super comfortable and warm, and we had a reserved parking space. Marco's mother was a fantastic lady. She shared her personal experiences with medicinal herbs and the history of the glacier, which she sees transform every day. It was wonderful to see her come down every morning with warm croissants ready for all the tourists who wanted breakfast before boarding the chairlift. Her daughter accompanied us throughout our stay in preparing breakfast and enthusiastically directed us to the most beautiful trails in the area. She was very attentive and helpful. The cook is super good, the food is delicious, and he kept us company while we drank a Genepi at the end of our shift, telling us about excursions and refuges we could do during our stay. The waitresses were so sweet and quick, in short. The staff were very welcoming, the food was excellent and you slept like a god, the environment with a family atmosphere made you feel at home even if our house was 10 hours away from there..... We left a part of our heart at the Locanda and at Monte Rosa which with its Himalayan wall wished us good morning every morning, it moved us deeply, we will be back very willingly thanks for the welcome Ale and Fede ❤️

VERY GOOD. We ordered different dishes to try as many things as possible. I didn't take pictures of everything because we ate them right away! The homemade cakes were delicious. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT; the girls serving us were very nice and friendly. Convenient parking near the restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived around 4 pm with a light appetite and the desire for an aperitif. They offered and brought us an excellent mixed platter. Truly delicious cured meats and cheeses. Delicious bread. The staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

Wow what a lovely place amazing staff and delicious food! Easily accessible for all ages thanks to the chairlift. I can recommend the cold cuts and the pasta alla Macugnaghese. Delicious 🤤

Il posto è carino, tipico di montagna e servizio abbastanza veloce , solo che avendo ordinato la polenta con il cervo in umido, al mio palato era un po' troppo forte il sapore, e avendo trovato un pelo di cervo non mi è stato fatto neanche uno sconto, per lo meno non pagare il coperto, visto che la tavola era apparecchiata con la tovaglietta di carta e posate nel sacchetto di carta. Buonissimi invece gli assaggi di formaggi locali della val d'Ossola.

Siamo stati in coppia al pranzo di Natale pochi giorni fa'. È stato tutto ottimo, dall'antipasto: patè, ins. russa walser, spiedino trota ai primi, secondo (coniglio disossato ripieno), panettone con crema al mascarpone, ad un prezzo giusto. Servizio professionale e cortese senza lunghe attese. L'unica pecca: la tavolata accanto di gente buzzurra che parlava a voce esageratamente alta, rovinando l atmosfera. Ci ritorneremo.

Per quanto riguarda il cibo niente di più niente di meno di ciò che ti aspetti da un locale in montagna, posto bello (forse musica un po alta), personale nella norma....l'empatia non si impara, o ce l'hai oppure no.....la ragazza con i capelli lunghi alza la media. Rapporto qualità prezzo così così. Nel complesso consigliato.

Sunday lunch with friends … I must say that I am aware that on Sundays there may be a problem with attendance but an hour of waiting for a tagliolini with venison sauce (good!) seems really too much! Our table was made up of children and adults and the first courses arrived half an hour apart from the last. We went with our grandparents and children for a snack a few weeks ago on a fairly cool, rainy day. We asked for hot chocolate, and the staff responded, "But it's summer...". I replied, "I'm in the mountains on a day like that." A snack with kids, summer or not, a hot chocolate is a must. The result? No chocolate. Anyway, we ordered something else, including a coffee and a cappuccino. We paid about €40, and I noticed that the cappuccino was listed as the price on the displayed table at €1.80, which was perfectly fair, and the coffee at €2.00. We pointed out that there might have been a mistake, but we were told that the coffee, which was listed at €1.30 on the displayed table, had been charged at the table service rate. I should point out that we weren't given a menu, and I didn't check to see if one was there, so I can't say whether the price on the menu indicated the €2 coffee price or the table service surcharge. But if you spend 40 euros, do you add 70 cents to the coffee for table service???

The food was quite good, but the service was embarrassing. We ordered a couple of platters as appetizers; the plates to put the dishes down on never arrived, so we asked for them at the counter. What's even funnier is that they weren't brought out by a waiter with an apology, but rather that we set our own table. The dishes arrived out of sync with the logical order of things: appetizer first, then main courses, and then first courses (that's probably the mountain air), so we gave up on the first courses. We also gave up on the wine, which was ordered but never arrived. The staff was disorganized and barely present in the dining room. Last but not least, it took 10 minutes to explain to the cashier how to issue an invoice. If you have a lot of time to waste and patience to spare, I recommend it.

Today I stopped by just to ask for information. I'd read on Google that gluten-free options were available. I politely asked for confirmation, and they asked me what a celiac can eat. I could already tell they weren't very knowledgeable about the topic. I asked how they handled contamination, and they replied, "Other celiacs have eaten here and they haven't died." Aside from the rude responses, I wonder why you'd write that gluten-free options exist if the staff is completely ignorant about the matter? Obviously, I left and found another place where, fortunately, they were knowledgeable and polite! I can't comment on the food since I haven't tried it, but it certainly wasn't good...
