The food here is amazing. I had the sourdough burger with onion rings this time and was not disappointed. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean.
Ok tried this place for the first time and let me tell you the food at this place was so amazing I got a chicken Cobb salad my sister got fish and chips and my friend got the spicy cajun penne pasta, 3 most random foods and all so delicious if your ever in that part of town I say its a must to visit
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Madera. I recommend it to whoever is looking for something to eat, and bring coworkers every chance I get. The service is great, the food is fantastic, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for everything you get.
Ok... So many great things to say, but I'll stick to the really important factors. Staff is amazing, friendly, attentive, and just plain wonderful. The food! OMG the food! Look... Just go, you wont regret it!
Very good! 👍 My wife and I enjoyed our first visit and will certainly go again. Nice homey atmosphere, clean and great service. I had a rib eye steak and my wife had Cajun penne pasta. Everything was fresh and hot.
I expected simple easy food on my way to Oakland. I was shocked to receive extremely high quality, well prepared cuisine! They make their own blue cheese dressing in house too, and it's dam good on their fresh salads! Highly recommend
Best takeout steak!! Good ribeye steak cooked exactly as I requested. Rare Seared perfectly outside and cooked red in the middle not raw. Mashed potatoes were freshly made and stiff and fluffy not mushy. Salad greens are freshly prepared, not prepped earlier in the day. Great customer service.

Stopped by this place on the way to Napa on a whim for breakfast but they didn't have it on the menu..... made it for me anyways and it was delicious custom-made omelette. My wife had Cajun pasta and it was also delicious. Two thumbs up five stars recommend go now
Been here before with my sister in law and the food and service was great. Came back again around the 4th of July and even with restrictions due to COVID19 the food and service were still fantastic. I've had the Philly cheesesteak and the all you can eat fish in chips. Both dishes were really good. Especially, the fish. You could tell that they battered it there themselves. I live all the way in San Diego and can't wait to get back. 🍽👍😊
I just want to say that this pasta with shrimp a la diabla is incredibly D E L I C I O S A! I highly recommend it if you like it spicy; What flavor! and everyone there is very friendly, it is definitely one of my favorite places to return and taste other dishes; at the place all of food healthy abd tasty They all look very rich
The server recommended the cajun pasta and now I can see why. WOW!!!Absolutely deliscious 😁 My mom got the hamburger which is hand made and fresh cut fries, not to mention the mouth watering ranch dressing. Highly recommend this place, a must try!!!!!!

My family LOVES this place. Please visit them. Give them the business instead of going out of town to eat. Madera finally has a GREAT place to eat GREAT food. See ya there! Doesn't matter what you order, its great and they treat you like family.
Stopped here by chance on Mother’s Day and we were BLOWN AWAY by the service and food. I ordered the filet mignon special- my husband ordered the rib eye and both were cooked to perfection with generous sides of a salad, baked potato, mushrooms, asparagus, breaded/fried shrimp and toast. They made a side of broccoli, zucchini and carrots for our daughter (which wasn’t on the menu) and at the end they gave ice cream. They were offering strawberry ice cream with whip cream but our 3 year old daughter kept talking about how she wanted chocolate ice cream. Then—get this— they surprised us with a bowl of chocolate ice cream just for her at the end! Her eyes lit up and that’s when I realized we’d found a real gem of a restaurant. So glad we supported this local mom n pop instead of where we were initially planning to go.
The Cajun Penne Pasta is amazing. There fill a plate full of shrimp, chicken, sausage, and a thick and creamy spicy sauce. I live in Fresno and this is the only restaurant in Madera I will go to. Always great service and great food at a great price

Absolutely delicious! What great service! Their food was very well cooked! Burgers were juicy, and ginormous! Their club sandwiches was amazing! Great portions, fries were crispy, onion rings were juicy! This is definitely going to be a regular place for us! And our waitress was incredible!

It's definitely a hole in the wall type of place, as I was alittle skeptical from the look of the place from the outside, but so worth it!! I tried the Cajun pasta and the mozzarella sticks and everything was so good! I absolutely loved the pasta and it's a big portion too! You can tell they are short staffed, so the customer service was okay but the lady was doing her best! If you pack your patience, I would definitely recommend to try this place! 👌

I really enjoyed the food it is one of the best hamburgers i have ever tasted! It is so scrumptious the meat is extremely juicy and tasty. The burgers are humungous this better than 5 guys McDonalds and BBK

On business needed a break and late lunch. Had a great cup of homemade green pea soup. Then a full portion of the chicken Asian salad. Which was very much tasty and flavors popped out. Fresh vegetables and not overpowered by wonton pieces. Would return just for the excellent food and service.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! I got the blt my husband got a burger and onion rings and everything was DELICIOUS! We were skeptical at first but after reading reviews and being so hungry we gave it a shot and this will definitely be a stopping ground on future road trips. They even brought us a sample of desert which was absolutely yummy. I highly recommend you save room for desert if you can!
Pizza was so delicious 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 it was cooked with wood so it gave it the smoke taste. ❤️❤️❤️customer service,👍 super Buena Onda. Excellent restaurant to get together and have a cup of coffee ☕ and some 🥐 yeah, they also have some home made desserts. Small corner treasure waiting for you to try out.😊 You're welcome!!
Love this place!!! Great spot for lunch and dinner. The new york steak sandwich and the Cajun pasta never disappoints! Eduardo and Rosa always make me feel like family. Super sweet and welcoming.

I had an excellent seafood pasta dish, taking It back to my hotel due to no inside dinning. Rose was very helpful. Hole in the wall place with good food.
We ordered the cheeseburger 🍔 and a bacon 🍔 both were great. This place has a great selection on the menu. Walk in order for takeout and it was ready in 15 min.
Service is always amazing here! I'm a huge fan of the club sandwich, which has never disappointed. Always a great stop of in Madera and hungry.
The food is delicious, customer service is great. It just takes for ever to get my food but they are always busy, so order half an hour before your lunch.

The food was very good- hamburger, chicken Marsala, a shrimp pasta dish and a fish special were ordered in our group. Everyone said their meal was very good to outstanding. The restaurant had run out of a few things which was a little disappointing but overall it was a very good experience. The interior in simple but comfortable and not too loud.

The Fish 'N Chips review is mixed. ° All the Seasonings were Perfect!! ° FISH was Beautifully Cooked - flakey, moist, golden-brown lightly breaded, generous portions. ° Great house-made tartar sauce + malt vinegar available. ¬ The Fries (house-made?) were NOT Beautiful - they were a pile of well browned, but skinny, greasy, semicrisp, potato "strings". [Hey, CaliGrill, work on a chunkier dinner-fry with light fluffy interior! You Can Do It!]
Ate there yesterday. My friends ordered fish and chips and a grilled chicken taco salad. The fish was very dry. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad. It was very good.
The service was great. The food was overpriced for a well done burger and soggy fries. Overall the burger didn’t have horrible taste. I’ve had a lot worst, but I’ve also have had a lot better. Plus there is no fountain drinks there. You have to pay $1.50 per can of soda. I wouldn’t really recommend this place but if you live in Madera there are limited burger options other than fast food chains.
It was a busy holiday, they were understaffed. But super friendly, very accommodating, food was good. A good place to visit. I'm sure during normal circumstances its really great

They took my drink order and left me there for another 5 minutes, then took my food order and then later came back with my drink just before my food came out. Not even a glass of water to tie me over. And then, my biggest peeve - no offer to refill my drink. I did the set the empty glass at the edge of the table and still nothing. I wish I could say it was because they were busy - but there was only one other person in the restaurant. I have no desire to go back even though the food was fine.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times because their food is probably the most decent in this town. Yet, when I order for takeout about half the time the order is not ready when they say it is. My order is also dripping inside the bag. This is the second time now that they’ve given me the wrong order. I didn’t call it in this time because they close early on Sundays. This will be the last time I go here. It’s pretty lousy after I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt so many times.

First time buyer from here and it was a HORRIBLE experience! I spent 100$ worth of food and only received 2 items from delivery. As a so called "restaurant" you need to ensure the delivery driver is picking up all items!! I'm not happy with California grill at all!! Thanks for the waste of money!!
Honestly the best food but the service is horrible always an excuse of why there is a cook down or it’s too late in the day to cook certain food. I have tried to order four times on the phone and always an excuse. They don’t go out of there way to make a customer happy. Hope they get there stuff together in the future.
This was the worst place I've eaten at in a long time. I had the patty melt and fries. They put something on the bread, then grilled it and I couldn't bite into it, and the bread was too hard. The burger was so dry that I couldn't swallow it, and the fries were overcooked and hard. The prices were absolutely outrageous. I should have walked out before I ordered, but I didn't. I will never go back or recommend it.👎
