Best fried chicken in Madera. Hot sauce is so good n staff really nice the lady who's always there is great. Two ppl can eat for like 12 bucks

Don't expect anything fancy at this place! This very humble no frills establishment can fry the pants off of chicken! I haven't tried much else other than the logs and rolls (which are also good), but the chicken really is the best in Madera. Dare I say the central valley? This place has been family owned since it opened, and it doesn't get much more mom and pop fried chicken than this. I have only been twice so far, but I will be coming back for years to come. My only disappointment is I didn't know about it sooner.

This family owned small business is fantastic made fried and BBQ fried chicken. The potato logs are big and their sides are all delicious. Even if I have to wait their chicken is made on the spot and well worth it. There are drinks available for your convenience. There is no dining in, it is a take out only. I highly recommend this establishment. Enjoy the burritos and corn on the cob too. One of my many favorites as well.

I thought of that famous baseball catcher Yogi Berra when I had my first 3 piece lunch box from Fastway Chicken. Yogi had said "Nobody goes there any more, it's too crowded" as one of his famous clips. I pass Fastway Chicken somewhere between "hardly" and "occasionally." Usually when I looked there, it was busy. Slowly, my friends' high praise of Fastway registered with me. I was heading home from errands in town near lunchtime and there it was. I pulled into their smallish parking lot and walked in as an earlier customer walked out. One person at the right-hand register placing his order; a second customer picking up a phoned-in order at the other cashier. Their fried chicken was awesome. Cooked properly, with a great breading: not too much, not too little. The lunch box came with a dinner roll and two sizable potato wedges. In a blink I was headed home, and it was so good, I went back the next day for another lunch box. I'm only familiar with that entrée, but based on my two lunched, I'm ready to try some more. If you like fresh fried chicken, give Fastway a try!

This has got to be the best fried chicken in the central valley, and one of the top 4 in the state in my opinion. They have plenty of other options as well, the customer service is great and their like a finely tuned machine because they get their customers in and out fast. Theirs always a line of eager hungry customers, the only downside of this place is theirs no in-house dining o ly take out.

It appears to be permanently closed. Caution tape and cardboard in the windows. I usually enjoy the food, never a long wait. Kinda bummed if it's closed for good.

They know their way around a fryer and get orders out quickly, even when there is a line. If you're ever in the area or driving by on the 99, do yourself a favor and make a pitstop here. I had a huge order.Staff is prompt,efficient, and courteous to customers.Helped me substitute my order with fresh chicken because I wanted only breasts and thighs.Thank you.This was my first time there and for sure will return.

Everything they have tastes good I usually go once a week. only complain they never are prepared with food ready. if its busy or not they usually run out of chicken and potato logs everytime I have to wait at least 15 minutes.

Chicken was on point.. I tried a little bit of everything. Fried chicken, potato logs, deep fried burrito, fried gizzards, fried shrimp, And BBQ chicken.. the young lady kinda over handled the fried chicken, ripping away the crispy skin from the meat, but overall this place is a hidden gem.

Now that I no longer will let myself give KFC in Madera my business I had to find a different place to go. Fastway was my selection. The chicken was good along with the rest of the food that I ordered. My only complaint is that its hard to walk in and just pick up your food if you ordered online. Good place to go.

Tiny, small, little place. If you're wanting to eat something healthy I suggest you look elsewhere. They have a hand-few of items available, ALL deep fried. They fry up big batches of chicken and other items ahead of time and put them under heat lamps in the front. Not the freshest fried chicken, HOWEVER, the flavor is pretty good. The fried chicken is very crispy while the meat inside is surprisingly moist and flavorful. The price is a little high for what it is, but if your in Madera you don't have many other options...

Chicken was great as usual but floors were very dirty.Also looks like vents might be dirty as well.Went back 11/27/2023 kid working was kinda rude.Didnt give me what I wanted basically overcharged me for my food.Asked for a fiesta meal didn't have enough chicken for that meal so he told me he had 16 pieces i said that was fine thinking I'm getting the 16 piece dinner box.Nope charged me 33 dollars for 16 pieces of chicken only.The 16 piece dinner box is $27.99 so same price but comes with logs and bread which I thought that's what I was getting he tells me nope my food dont come with that stuff.I stated well thats what I wanted he and the girl say no you got to pay extra 4 those so $11 later i was charged the same price as a 20 piece meal as a 16 piece meal.The time before this I got charged for corn on the cob I did not receive I called but no one answered so I got screwed over that time.If management don't make this right I will not come back anymore after 35 years of being a loyal customer.

The chicken is good. Always has been. Over the years I've been watching fastway slowly decline. Building and their equipment. But they have these young kids working that doesn't seem to have people skills.

Very greasy food, but the price is right if you like that sort of thing. They have fried chicken gizzards which are not easy to come by elsewhere. The location could be better. Its a little off the beaten path, compared to the other restaurants in town.

I saw the girl by herself making the orders and helping everyone. The line was basically to the outside and there were even door dash orders. I understood why our email confirmation wasn’t sent so I stood and waited in line. I then decided to go up and say I was here for an online order since I know you don’t have to wait in line for online orders. My order was given to me and apparently it’s been ready since the beginning and I didn’t have to wait close to an hour after I placed the order. I accept and understand I should’ve gone in person earlier but I love this business and believed they still were good and had good customer service. However it doesn’t stop there. I came home, I fixed everyone’s plates and we started eating. But my dad and my brother both found long black hair in their chicken. I wish I took a photo but I wasn’t planning on leaving this review. I don’t want any compensation except for the owners and the managers to talk to the supervisors and workers in order to keep this place clean free and to improve their customer service. Thank you. If this review helps you with hesitation in ordering fastway chicken just remember that it’s been around for decades and it’s for a reason, their food is good and always a treat but lately it hasn’t been the same.

Usually I don’t have a problem with this place at all. This is my fav spot! A few days ago I went to order the usual and the cashier was rushing me when there was no one else. Not only that but there was a bunch of flies inside the food display and one of the wings I got had a bad odor. Overall this was the first time I ever had a bad experience at this restaurant.

We waited 20 minutes for chicken tenders and that would have been fine but they had absolutely no flavor. For being a chicken place Im just not sure how the chicken can be unseasoned. I ordered two Beef and Bean burritos and the guy gave me the Jalapeno flavored burritos instead. I specifically asked if the corndogs in the hot case had been there for a while or not and the guy said they had just come out. That was a lie. They tasted like they had been there all day. Also the potatoe logs were lacking flavor. The food is cheap so If you take it for what it is then it could be okay but I will definitely not be a customer of theirs after this experience.

Good food bad place went to go buy food for my family they denied me getting some chick due to them not making enough and even though they are not busy I told them I would wait the guy denied me only saying I could get 4 piece what is 4 pieces going to do yet there were happy to take a big order when I started ordering bad service won’t go till they fire the guy working

Don’t get me wrong, the chicken is always awesome. I am giving them one star for....having to fall in line with all the walk-in customers when you actually called in your order. What’s the point of calling in the order if they don’t have a separate counter just for pick up?

I had a hunger for some fried chicken, not KFC, Vons, SaveMart or Popeyes but something a little different and did an online search. After trying to figure out who could satisfy my need I decided to drive from Fresno to Madera and try out Fastway. I read the reviews, mostly good and some not so good. I got the Monday 3 PC + drink special and added a breast. I don't rate on how a place looks but I will say the chicken wasn't very good. Too greasy & could use some seasoning to perk up the flavor. Same with the wedge potatoes. I just ate the wedge potatoes and one breast. I don't think I'll be going back anytime sooner or later. As I stated, it was greasy & not very good at best. It might be the best fried chicken in Madera but that's where it stops.

This is usually my go to spot for fried chicken, but however lately when I go they get my order wrong. I called to complain to the manager and all I got on the phone was the girl who got my order wrong in the first place and a bunch of attitude. No apology and poor customer service. Please retrain these new workers.

Typical gas station pit stop. Worker cut in front of everyone to get her order ahead of everyone else which was very unprofessional. But what would you expect from a run down store needing attention. Food was ok for being fried but wasn’t the best in Madera.

There was a thick hair that was embedded in the chicken. I felt disgusted after eating a few pieces of chicken and then founding my discover.

Was kicked out with my service dog in violation of the ADA. Completely illegal. Don’t recommend coming to a lawless place like this. Besides the food is not that good. Oily and the chicken pieces are tiny. Definitely spend your money elsewhere.

I don’t know if they change the recipe or they’re doing something different, but when I order chicken, the fried chicken almost all of it doesn’t even have any skin and it’s super super greasy and sometimes it taste like it’s really old too. I always give them the benefit of the doubt and I’ve gone back a few more times but now I just can’t do it. It’s not good anymore at all to me the chickens just nasty. It’s Dry you know no skin I like the crunchy skin on fried chicken.

To my surprise, a staff member yelled at me for simply waiting inside as I waited for the 4 minutes they said for me to wait. When I pointed out that her tone was rude, she rolled her eyes at me. Now, I don’t know if she was having a bad day but that’s no excuse for her to treat anyone that way. Forget that I was the customer and forget the idea that the customer is always right (which I don’t agree with). People should be treated with dignity and with respect. I was extremely disappointed because the employees who worked at Fastway were always chill and down to earth. The new kids that they hired look like they just graduted high school and have little to no manners about how to interact with people. Maybe it was the pandemic and social distancing that made them into what they are but, again, that’s no excuse. The experience I had made me feel uncomfortable and upset. I got a refund because I think being treated with dignity and respect is more important than being spoken to as if I was a dog. I won’t be going back and it’s a shame because Fastway Chicken tastes really good. The service is horrible, however. I do not recommend this place anymore.

I said I was there only for the “raspberry chimi cheesecake”, oh we don’t have that either. I find their attitudes not having anything very smug and if they didn’t want to serve customers why don’t they just close early?! Edit for response: graduations are over, they have been done since last week. Nice try though, and they weren’t closed. Point being, no food so close.

Please change times on Google if they are not accurate, many people such as myself look this up before driving across town to get food.

Went in this morning with my family & as soon as we walked in the cashier “Assistant Manager” was very rude didn’t ask if we can please close the door she automatically said close the door as my children where still coming in. I called a little after we left the store as I noticed out food was all smushed.
