Great place for lunch of dinner in the posh district in central Madrid. Andalusian food is not only "pescaito frito", and here they have some of the best rice "arroz caldoso" that I have ever had. The atmosphere is family friendly but not too casual. When we were there with kids the waiters were friendly and understanding.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while walking through the area, feeling quite hungry. Although I didn’t have a reservation, the staff welcomed me warmly and promptly found a table for me, which I truly appreciated. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and full of positive energy. The ambiance was exceptional—perfect for families, with children, parents, and grandparents all enjoying Easter Friday together. It was heartwarming to witness several families gathered for what appeared to be meaningful reunions, which added to the overall warmth and charm of the experience. The service was outstanding. Every staff member I encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. As for the food—it exceeded all expectations. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. I found myself savoring each bite and appreciating the quality and creativity in every aspect of the menu. This experience left such a great impression that I’m already planning to return with my own family for Easter Sunday. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent food, exceptional service, and a welcoming environment. Without hesitation, a true hidden gem! I recommend it 150%.

Lovely traditional restaurant. We had salmorejo, fried puntillitas, and the lubina. Everything delicious, the seafood very fresh. Traditional, polite, and effective service. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside, with gorgeous Andalusian decor. Would definitely go back.

My colleague from Mardid took me to this place for seafood and beers and Southern atmosphere. I really loved it, the calamari was the best I ever tasted. The interior is wood and tiles, to follow Andalusian tradition. Highly recommend.

We went to several restaurants during our stay in Madrid that were either Michelin or considered best in class. I found this restaurant near El Retiro and our hotel, and it ended up being the best Spanish food that we remembered during our time in the city. We especially loved ordering 1/2 portions of each croquetas (1/2 portion of 2 dishes = 1 was plenty for 2 people to share + 2 mains - garlic clams and langostinos). On Sunday after noon, it looked like the restaurant filled on both sides with local families (2-3 generations) coming after church or for lunch. Many of the waiters were familiar with the families, and they looked like they had been working there throughout their careers - which made the experience very special. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for an authentic Spanish / Andalusian lunch in Madrid.

Traditional spanish cuisine mainly from Sevilla. The best dishes are the "Arroces" they come in servings for two. The croquetas are one of the best I've tried. If you are looking for a spanish restaurant where only locals eat this is the place to go. I highly recommend

Beautiful decor and apparently the aged (and classy) servers have been working there from a young age so they really are attentive and word class in their recommendations and overall care. The food we had was a selection of fishes and sides. Towards the evening they then had traditional spanish flamenca signing which was quite the treatment for a first timer!

Un lugar agradable para ir a comer. El aperitivo rico, típico de bar de toda la vida. Las almejas ricas y bien servidas para ser media ración. El rabo de toro era de un tamaño considerable, pero el guiso era demasiado ligero en textura y sabor, lo que afectaba a la carne. Las patatas fritas deliciosas, lo mejor de todo. No probé la tarta de queso pero tenía un tamaño descomunal, estaba cubierta de mermelada con cachos y tenía un aspecto tal que casi salto la mesa para probarla. Tenía que mencionarlo. El jefe de sala de abajo y los camareros muy amables. Cocina rápida. Tiene varios ambientes con mesas altas y bajas y salones en la planta de entrada y arriba.

Nos tomamos un rabo de toro de una almejas a la marinera. El rabo de toro se merece 5 estrellas, estaba espectacular. Las almejas no nos impresinó mucho, dejo 4 estrellas porque en general es sitii estaba muy bien.

Andaluz con solera en la capital y negocio familiar. 💡 Se puede comer en la zona de barra - mesas altas (sin reservar, pero hay cola; ni siquiera te apuntan tienes que sufrirla) o en el restaurante (reservando). 👍Producto de muy buena calidad y bien cocinado. ⚠️El servicio es lento (están desbordados) en hora punta. * Raciones varias * Piononos de Santa Fe.

Fui con un amigo quien vive en Venezuela pero cada vez que viene suele repetir en este restaurante andaluz en Madrid. En esta oportunidad fuimos de tapas. El vino Rioja que ofrecen es muy bueno; las croquetas (que tienen que ser muy buenas para que a mí me gusten) estaban riquísimas así como el pulpo. Buena atención y ambiente. No defrauda por lo que repetiré

Buena opción para tomar unas tapas muy ricas en un local con ambiente y carácter andaluz. El servicio es muy amable y eficiente. Merece la pena.

Lucky enough to grab a last minute booking as this fantastic restaurant with my friend Julio. Service was 1st rate and the fried fish starter was beautiful. We had the fish stew with rice to share for mains. Wow, can nor recommend this enough. The beer was ice cold and with valet parking I will definitely return. What a great restaurant, a credit to Madrid.

Pues nada más entrar un camarero la mar de grosero nos dijo q no había ninguna mesa. Al momento vino una camarera, la mar de encantadora y nos llevó a una mesa, pero desde luego el recibimiento fue de lo más antipático. El sitio es precioso, como si estuvieras en Sevilla. La comida muy buena, todo muy fresco. Pero el precio es bastante desorbitado. Por mucho que esté en ese barrio tan "elegante". Hay sitios igual de buenos con precio muy inferior y sin camareros maleducados

Sitio inspirado en andalucia, acogedor. Noté una sobrecarga del tema toros. No merece mucho la pena lo que comes y lo que te gastas, muy caro. Un arroz con bogavante por 40 euros la persona, estaba bastante logrado pero no lo pagaria otra vez. De postre una tarta de queso que si que merecia la pena y una tarta de zanahoria que estaba muy buena. En resumen, es un sitio de ir una vez.

Tenía muchas ganas de ir, en general la comida estuvo bien , todo muy rico, pero la atención del camarero no estuvo a la altura. Pedimos varios platos para compartir y nos los trajeron casi todos a la vez, en especial la carne, teniendo que dejar de comer el resto para que no se nos enfriara. No sé si es porque ese día el restaurante estaba tranquilo y no había mucho trabajo en la cocina y lo fueron sirviendo con cierta celeridad. Por lo demás, todo bien.

Ambiente elegante en salón, servicio profesional. La fritura estaba bien, pero con el atún (supuestamente de Almadraba, según afirmó el camarero) no quedamos contentos. El tartar tenía tanto aliño que dudo que fuera un buen atún, y si lo era es peor el crimen. Precio acorde con la zona, la calidad no tan acorde con el precio.

The food of the neighbours and their bread basket looked very tasty, but the waiter never returned after the first dishes and the menu. After a while, my appetite and patience was over. Too bad, if only I was Spanish, I would have received the service of my neighbours.

El día 1 de Enero, estuve comiendo con la familia, la reserva la teníamos a la 13,30h. Pedimos unos entrantes, muy buenos por cierto, y un arroz que esperamos pacientemente casi dos horas a que nos lo sirvieran. Estuvimos en un tris de levantarnos y marcharnos a medio comer. La comida es muy buena pero, el servicio deja mucho que desear. Soy asiduo de este restaurante pero después de la experiencia creo que tardaré mucho en volver.

Only good thing is the atmosphere. Me and my family were there just yesterday, we got seated, but waiter was rude because we were not Spanish. Food was awful and I got food poisoning from one of their dishes. DONT GO IN THERE if you wanna be stuck in your hotel for the duration of your vacation!

The food was terrible - everything seemed to be deep fried- including lamb chops— the portions were small, 1/2 of our group has chipped plates, the waiters were extremely unhelpful and cold - and it expensive. For as pretentious as the staff was the food should have been at least decent.
