Entramos buscando un sitio donde comer y que gran acierto! Fuimos sin reserva y nos dieron una mesita (y con trona para bebe). El servicio muy atento y nos explicaron algunas dudas con los platos. Que decir de la comida... buenísima!! Todo súper rico!! Además las cantidades son suficiente para irte con la tripa bien llena. El precio es medio, totalmente asequible para esa calidad tan estupenda de comida. El ambiente bueno, no es muy grande el restaurante, está ambientado rollo mexicano, bonito. Volveremos!!

Excelente lugar para comer unos tacos y unas margaritas. Fuimos 3 amigas el sábado y la verdad que genial. Además tuvimos la suerte (desconozco si suele ser habitual), de que entraron unos mariachis a tocar. Recomendable!

Pleasantly surprised. I am from Mexico and I was worried about getting food in a Mexican restaurant in Spain. But the place looked nice and I wanted a change of pace from all the Spanish food. I knew when the waiter came to serve us that this would be good; he was Mexican. We sat outside (a bit cold but comfortable) and had a great meal. Space - plenty of space inside and outside. Prices - reasonable Staff - very friendly Atmosphere - lively. Highly recommend. Oh and their margaritas were good.

Worth every penny, worth the trip, probably the best Mexican style food in Madrid! Also they have a nice patio, if you want to eat outside. We started by ordering just 3 dishes, after the first one, we knew it was going to be outstanding! We ordered 2 more courses and also dessert, everything was perfect. The staff timed everything perfectly, was super friendly (even tho we couldn't speak Spanish very well). Also all the menu items had pics which made ordering a lot easier! 1000% will come back here when I am in Madrid!

We made a very impulsive decision to come here because we were hungry and saw big doors that were wide open with what looked like happy people in a fun airy restaurant. So we hopped in and were lucky to be seated because a couple had just left. We tried multiple things and they were all quite delicious. I was hoping for more vegetarian options but actually we were pretty satisfied at the end of our meal. I ordered a margarita and it was VERY good, along with the guacamole. I liked that they already had chips and a few salsa options to try waiting for us at the table. They salsas are all very flavorful and delicious. We also ordered the vegan tacos which were sautéed mushrooms and vegetables with nice wedges of avocado. They had excellent flavor and I was actually very positively surprised by the intense tastes in those cute little tortillas. We also ordered the vegetarian quesadillas which I believe were beans and cheese and maybe cauliflower. There were two and they were quite small but tasty. My brother in law ordered the pulpo tacos which were, apparently, very yummy. To end we ordered a slice of cheesecake to share and were serenaded by a mariachi band. Man they were really good!!! It was a great experience.

Visité Lupita, un restaurante mexicano con una decoración bastante lograda: el ambiente visual es acogedor, con detalles coloridos y toques típicos que te transportan a México. Lamentablemente, la experiencia general se vio empañada por algunos aspectos. Para empezar, la música estaba excesivamente alta, hasta el punto de dificultar una conversación normal con personas en la misma mesa. Esto, sumado a que el local estaba lleno, generaba un ruido constante que restaba comodidad. En cuanto al servicio, fue correcto, sin destacar demasiado, pero tampoco hubo fallos notables. La comida fue un punto mixto: probé varios platos y todos estaban ricos, con sabores bien logrados y buena presentación. Sin embargo, las porciones eran pequeñas considerando los precios. Además, no venían con ningún tipo de acompañamiento (ni arroz, ni frijoles, ni ensalada), lo cual te deja con sensación de que falta algo en el plato. Otro detalle a mejorar: las cervezas mexicanas están a 4,55 €, pero te sirven un tercio, lo cual me pareció caro para lo que es. Me quedé con ganas de probar opciones como los margaritas, ceviche o enchiladas, que tenían muy buen aspecto y tal vez suban el nivel de la experiencia si vuelvo en otra ocasión. En resumen: Lupita tiene potencial, sobre todo en sabor y estética, pero debería revisar su relación calidad-precio, cuidar más el volumen de la música y ofrecer porciones más generosas o completas para estar a la altura de lo que cobran.

Nos encontramos ante un restaurante mejicano moderno. El tamaño es mediano y las paredes con grandes ventanales que ventilan muy bien el local. Su decoración es singular y hace que sea un lugar para probar tacos con un importante sabor. La comida estaba muy buena, los camareros recomiendan platos que son interesantes y el servicio es rápido. El precio es medio aunque bajo si nos fijamos en su ubicación y algunos restaurantes de su entorno. Merece la pena visitarlo

An already classic Mexican restaurant in Madrid. We ordered tacos al pastor and campechano, and sopa azteca, being this last one our favorite and better cooked in this case. Extra point to the service since we came with no reservation (thanks team for hosting us!)

The vibe of the place is really good! The tostadas al pastor are super good as well as the guacamole. The onions were not as good as expected, they were kind of sweet. I would have prepared if they were more burned and salty. The service is pretty good.

Ha bajado mucho. Ya no es como antes. La calidad ha bajado, las raciones son muy muy escasas. Antes ponían tres tacos por ración y ahora solo dos y la verdad por 14€, dos tacos y con poco relleno, se hace muy caro y una relación calidad precio muy mala. Y el servicio también ha empeorado. Iba mucho, ya no iré más.

Not the best experience to be honest, yet not the worst! The waiters were somehow pushy and kept asking us to order when we needed some time just to understand the menu, no one mentioned menus in English until we discovered the qr code. The food was super normal for a very very high price which is not fair. The drinks came with no tapas or chips or anything contrary to any other bar in Madrid. The music was good but somehow louder than it should be.

To be fair, food is good if just for casual eating but atmosphere & service is terrible. So I won’t go there again! I went for my lunch alone, there was one guy working in this restaurant let me waiting outside for the table for no reason while there are many empty tables (it was 4pm!!!) and the table next to me, two men played video on mobile very loud but no one stop this impolite behavior in restaurant!!!!

This is an ok Mexican restaurant in the Salamanca district of Madrid. I am being realistic with my sharp review about this restaurant because living in a certain area in the United States where there was a very large amount of Mexican immigrants, the food was excellent. Therefore, I became used to eating their food at an a very high level of quality and when I come across a Mexican restaurant anywhere… well, I just can’t seem to lower those standards. However and having said that, the food at La Lupita is not bad either. I just found that you don’t get a lot of bang for your buck, and the quality could improve. One thing I did think was excellent was their Margaritas. The service is also a bit on the slow side.

Sobrevalorado y decepcionante. Cobran 23 € por tres tacos que no representan en absoluto la comida mexicana. Secos, sin salsas, sin acompañamientos y sin sabor, lejos de lo que debería ser un taco de verdad. Precio absurdo para una calidad muy pobre. No merece la pena y no lo recomiendo en absoluto.

Hemos ido tres veces, de las cuales solo en una ocasión nos han cobrado correctamente. La de ayer fue ya un espanto, una margarita y un cocktail de más por un importe de 22,50 €. El camarero no tuvo ningún detalle por semejante metedura de pata, no escuchaba, hablaba a la vez que nosotras, lió una con la devolución que ya fue la gota que colmó el vaso. La comida es escasa pero está más o menos (hay mejicanos infinitamente mejores) y el servicio tiene muchas carencias. Lo siento pero con la cantidad de sitios maravillosos que hay en Madrid, no lo recomendamos en absoluto. No volveremos nunca más.
