Trataron bien a mi sobrinito Sebastián
What a wonderful experience.Best place in Madrid . Miguel helped us so much choosing the right food. If you want fresh fish this is the place. Go for it you will not regret. I am not even going to mention the wine.
Although we are novices regarding paella (and Fideuà), Miguel and his patient team walked us through the meal from starters to dessert. EVERYTHING was impressive and so flavorful. They were so attentive, and very accepting, of our limited language ability. This was a definite highlight of our vacation and we learned so much from them. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
This place was fantastic the seafood paella was excellent and Manuel our waiter gave us amazing service and great recommendations. Vanessa was super helpful and very attentive to our needs as well.
I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and fresh, and the place was clean and cozy. Special thanks to Pedro for his excellent service and friendly attitude — he really made our visit enjoyable. Definitely coming back!
Absolutely excellent! “ THE BEST PAELLA IN SPAIN “ I recommend this place highly! Everything was exceptional from the starters till the desert and coffee! A MUST VISIT AND TRY OUT OR YOULL BE MISSING THE BEST GOOD EXPERIENCE IN SPAIN !
The best sea food restaurant in madrid! Well cooked, delicious taste, impeccable variety! Recommend having the cockles, the octopus leg with potatoes the sea bass salt! Super interesting and flavorful 😋Julian, our waiter, was very attending, super helpful to pick dishes, professional and friendly!
This restaurant was recommended at the Hotel I was staying. I requested a good paella restaurant. I know I’m in Madrid not the best place to request paella. But St.James was 10X better than anything I had in Barcelona. The main waiter Mr.Jesus was fantastic. From his wine selection advice to the quantity of food to order for our small party. The paella was not too fishy which is always a plus. The other waiters / servers were equally as attentive. This restaurant is fine dining. Even to the point of mouth wash in the bathroom. Highly recommended.

Agradable. Buen servicio.
Amazing appetizers. Had the Russian salad, grilled avocado with shrimp, and tasty grilled vegetables. Everything was very fresh! I enjoyed the paella, although from the people I was with, it's usually done differently and one wasn't a fan. The rest liked it alot! Good quality lunch. Service was amazing.
Their Juan Bravo establishment has never disappointed me and all rice dishes I have tried were excellent in flavour, quality of ingredients, quantity of portions and cooking point. Very good appetizers, especially the daily and seasonal specials. Service can be a bit choppy depending on who is responsible for your table (hence my 3 stars rating on this aspect). Update on January 2025: another classic establishment that starts to fall prey to the new wave of Barrio de Salamanca consumers. Food quality and service has deteriorated and prices increased. Also the rice offers have adapted to these new trends. Still a very good place but for how long?
Last time we came we were in the terrace this time we were in the dinning room,. The oysters were stunning, the artichokes with crab and croquettes were delicious. I think we chose the wrong rice, we had a rice Alicantino with rabbit and chickpeas, it was a little dry and not as tasty as I expected. I recommend eating on the terrace.
I was positively impressed by the quality of the food and of the presentations considering that we went there as a large group something always hard to deal with (we were in fact over 30 people). The croquettes were particularly tasty and the tomatoes seemed high quality. I found the paella a bit disappointing, especially considering that the restaurant seems specialized in that. I opted for the seafood one, which is usually very rich and instead mine had a bland taste. I also couldn't find any sign of the crust that normally forms on top. A couple of other guests seemed to share my opinion on the rice. Service was super attentive.

This feels like a tourist trip. If you love great food and a cool ambiance, this isn't your restaurant. First, the ambiance. You have two options: an overly-lit (blindingly white) dining room…
Lovely restaurant and staff serving flavorless, disappointing food. Restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge as having the best Paella. It was maybe the worst.

This is the only place in Madrid Spain we were disappointed. The paella cost nearly 50 euros, very salty, not worth the price at all, 7 euros for 2 small pieces of bread, not recommended, They need a lot of improvement!!!
Went with high expectations after hearing it was the best paella in town! While service was good, the food was below par. I also don’t appreciate not being told that bread and condiments cost extra and then being slapped with a bill for far more than budgeted for. Left a bad taste sadly.
Very disappointed. Surprisingly not novel. We were recommended this place by a friend that held this restaurant in high regards, saying he had some best paella here. While the service was expedient, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food- especially at the price point, was very very disappointing. We ordered the St. James paella, and were really looking forward to it after being reassured by the waiter that this was the best paella dish in the house. The menu promised lobster, prawns, cuttlefish, and more. We were given crab crackers and tools, which only heightened our expectation that a good deal of fresh seafood was on its way with this paella. What we really received was very normal paella was three overcooked, mushy prawns on a side plate. While the other two dishes we ordered tasty fairly good, the confit artichokes stuffed with spider crab and the grilled razor clams, the fact that the paella was so substandard was the biggest turn-off for us. The final straw for us was seeing the bill breakdown at the end of the meal. The St. James paella was €38, and only after seeing the bill did we find out that it was €38 per person’s portion. €76 for a plate each of oily flavored rice and 3 prawns. What were seafood tools for? Looking pretty? In the context of the price, my disappointment for our experience skyrocketed. I have a hard time coming up with better descriptions of our experience besides the word disappointment, but it truly is the best word for it. The expectation subversion was so extreme that it really brought down our day. For a fine dining restaurant, for the price point, we expected excellent food not just excellent service. Overcooked and mushy prawns should not be happening.
Overall horrible experience. The waiter did not pay attention to food allergies and still had it in my rice even though it did not state it their menu. They tried to make a different plate and stated it will take 10 mins but we patiently waited 25 mins. One of the older lady working there was rude in her facial expressions. This place was not authentic and felt it was a tourist trap. Never coming back here and this was our first visit to Madrid. I even told our hotel concierge that help us make the reservation to not even recommend again.
The food was terrible. Especially paella salty rice with cooked inpersonal taste prawns. Paella ,,with sea food"without sea food. The waiter was very polite.

We read the recommendations and we wanted paella in Madrid. This seems like a unique environment and so we gave it a shot. After we ordered our sparkling water the sommelier returned to our table 3…
Food is normal and seafood is mostly grilled. Too overpriced. They made us order too much and did not advise on proper portion.
