I went to this restaurant for dinner with friends. From the outside, you can't tell the quality of the food, which is decidedly good. The menu is quite varied, with a good selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses. I had a delicious Fassona beef tartare, followed by an excellent pork tenderloin with caramelized onions and baked potatoes (perhaps the only sour note was that they tasted more like fried potatoes than baked). For dessert, I had a tiramisu, which was delicious. The portions were adequate and the dishes were well-executed. Very quick and friendly service. The price was fair.

Today I "discovered" a small restaurant in a small village near my home. The village is called Maggiora (NO), a land of red wines. I also "discovered" the dedication, great professionalism, and excellent hospitality that many other restaurateurs perhaps no longer remember. Obviously, it's all tied to excellent cuisine made with true mastery and great passion. And obviously, it's all tied to an excellent quality-price ratio. And finally, since we had all ordered a set menu and three people in our group didn't eat a dish from the menu (they were full), the restaurateur gave us a small discount without us asking... something NOT EVERYONE gets, but obviously much appreciated by us. WELL DONE and thank you so much.

A tour of the Novara area is essential for anyone who loves good wine. Lunch at La Lucciola is equally essential, and we happily discovered it on the recommendation of the winery's owner. 🏠 LOCATION | It's a bar-osteria and an osteria-bar. What does that mean? Simplicity, immediacy, and minimal frills typical of downtown hipsters. Here, the goal is simply to eat well, and the place perfectly communicates this. 🚶‍♂ STAFF | The owner couple is incredibly kind and always smiling. They're quick to serve and always ready to answer any questions or offer recommendations on what to see. It was a pleasure. 👨‍🍳 CUISINE | Spectacular, see the photos to believe it. We had an incredible braised beef in Nebbiolo, a perfectly creamy risotto, perfect artichokes and mashed potatoes as a side, two coffees, and a amaro. Everything was delicious, congratulations. 💶 BILL | For two, with the items just mentioned, we paid €38.50. A more than fair price for what was offered. We hope to return.

Lovely staff! And nice environment for a lunch stop, possible to sit outside. Sadly food nothing special and quite tasteless and overcooked pasta… We ordered 2 pomodoro with pancetta and one gnocchi with cheese. Ok price!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this place. My wife and I showed up in our bike gear (MTB) after a long ride, ready to sit down for lunch (around 1:30 PM). We didn't plan on staying long. A platter of appetizers, maybe a first course, drinks, coffee, and then we were ready to head back to finish the tour... we only had a few kilometers to the car. But it was lunchtime, and the atmosphere was nice and promising... The village of Maggiora was an ideal place to stop. Even though there were several free tables outside, and people were already being served outside, I was told they didn't have time to serve me because they had to prioritize a confirmation banquet. I wasn't even given time to explain my needs: I was coldly dismissed, without being listened to or offered any kind of attention. The reason seemed to me to be anything but related to the actual influx of customers, but rather to my clothing and my situation (a passing biker). An unwelcoming and discriminatory response that left me with a very disappointing impression. A restaurant should value its customers for their respect and politeness, not their attire. I will not return, nor will I recommend it to other cyclists or travelers. So, a warning to all bikers who frequent the beautiful Monte Fenera area from Maggiora and the surrounding area: DO NOT STOP AT THIS PLACE AS IT IS NOT BIKER FRIENDLY.
