We worked with Carlos to have our rehearsal dinner with this restaurant. They recommended The Red Flame Restaurant to hold the dinner with Julio’s Mexican Grill catering the food. IT WAS EXCELLENT! Carlos did a great job making sure everything came together. The wedding party kept commenting on how nice the atmosphere was and how great the food was! It was a total success!! Thank you Carlos!

Took our kids here ages 5,4,and 1. They were very nice and attentive. I was pleasantly suprised my kids ate most of thier food. We ate from thier breakfast menu a burrito and 2 tacos. It was delicious.

The wife and I go to Julio's just about every time we get a night out, it's one of the most friendly and dependable places 20 miles in any direction. They always go above and beyond and is a real treasure. But the reason why I'm writing a review is because a waiter helped a elderly couple out to their car tonight. And this isn't the first time I've seen them do something similar. It's well above the call of duty and they're clearly built different.

My New Go-To for Authentic Mexican Food I finally made it to Julio's Mexican Grill on FM 1488 after hearing so many friends rave about it, and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the most incredible aroma of sizzling fajitas and warm, friendly smiles. We started with the Chile Con Queso, and it was a game-changer. It’s clearly homemade, perfectly creamy with just a little kick, and nothing like the processed stuff you get elsewhere. For my main course, I took a chance on the "Alambre de Arrachera" platter—skirt steak grilled with bacon, bell peppers, onions, and melted cheese. Let me tell you, it was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the combination with the smoky bacon was a stroke of genius. Every bite was a delight. My dining companion ordered the classic Chicken Fajitas, and the portion was incredibly generous. The chicken was marinated and grilled to perfection, arriving at our table still audibly sizzling. The homemade flour tortillas were soft, warm, and the perfect vessel for building our own perfect fajita bites. We also appreciated that the standard accompaniments—refried beans, Mexican rice, guacamole, and sour cream—were all fresh and tasted homemade. What truly sets Julio's apart, besides the outstanding food, is the atmosphere. It’s a family-owned spot that feels genuinely welcoming and unpretentious. The staff is attentive and seems to take real pride in what they serve. The restaurant is clean, brightly decorated, and has a comfortable, lively energy that makes it perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a fun weekend meal with friends. I left completely stuffed, happily carrying a to-go box, and already planning my next visit. If you're in Magnolia and craving authentic, delicious Mexican food made with care, you simply must try Julio's. It’s a local treasure that I'm thrilled to have discovered.

Had the pick 3 lunch special, got 2 chicken enchiladas and 1 chicken flats. It's oddly similar to the Julios on 2920 but the waiter sais its not aff.

Wow! The beef and chicken fajitas, oh so tasty! I catered a lunch with the fajitas, beans, rice, guacamole, and all the sides! It was all fantastic! The delivery was on time and did all the set up! I can’t wait for my next party to have Julio’s back!

Amazing food They have a Mexican pizza, and it was amazing, we had just got done with a basketball tournament for Love Matters nonprofit, to help children with Christmas gifts this year. Check out his Merch, btw. Any way, we decided to stop and get some quick food. Ordered the Mexican pizza & a entre platter. Everything was amazing and we are able to feed 4 people under $50, and we got one margarita. Super affordable. I'm telling you, please check out this place. 🥰

Julio's is the gem of The Woodlands. This place has become our go-to for Friday night. The service is friendly, and they recognize us now. The food and the jumbo margaritas are the best in town. We've tried a few other places and always come back to Julio's. Decor is old school but not a big deal. The place is always busy. Try the puffy tacos and the tampiquena platter. Amazing!

The birria tacos weren't the best but they were good. The food is all good. Good quality meat. Well prepared. Nothing that is absolutely amazing, a relatively stereotypical Mexican restaurant, but definitely better than a lot of Mexican restaurants! You will not be disappointed.

Stuffed avocado was great, with the jalapeño ranch! Also enjoyed a frozen sangria margarita! The green sauce was really good as well!

My expectations were low based on what it looks like from the outside. But to my delight the food was pretty good. My grilled Mahi Mahi taco tasted fresh and flavorful. Husband liked his fajitas. My peach margarita was very strong which is great. But I don't think it was blended right. I couldn't understand at first why it was warm. Turns out all the alcohol and flavors were on the bottom and the blended ice on top. So maybe it needed more ice,I don't know. A little weird, but I made it work. Now, my husband's margarita was excellent. It had cinnamon, rum and coconut. Absolutely delicious! The location is great, right off of 1488, near Home Depot. The atmosphere is meh, typical run down Mexican restaurant. Not cheap! Upgrade to Mahi Mahi was $4. But it was worth it to not eat tilapia or catfish. Drinks were pretty big. Good enough for a casual meal.
