The Draft is my go to stop for the lunch burger basket special! 7 bucks for a burger and fries during lunch time. Environment is cool and calm, bunch of big screen TVs. Pool tables and dart machines are available and they a lot have video games. Place is kiddo friendly and the staff is awesome! Check it out!

I have been twice now and have not had a bad experience. Food has always been delicious, quick on drinks, and plenty of TVs around to catch all of the sports. Waitresses are quick and friendly. Great selection of beer.

Some real good food had the burger with pulled pork and bacon and it was great .... they have about 20 tvs playing everything you could want with plenty of great service to provide your drinks a must try if in the area

Went to The Draft 1488 today when they first opened at 11AM, wanted to try their crawfish and see what other items they offer since they are a sports bar and diner. From the start, the restaurant is very specious, plenty of seating, great sound system, plenty of T.V.s, very well designed shorts bar and diner. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly, additionally the cook really cares about the food and makes sure everyone is satisfied. This is a really extra because I am sure in the evening when they are busier, it would be impossible for that level of attention. We ended up getting 2 pounds of crawfish, which was perfect in the level of cooking and slightly seasoned, but they only give 1 corn and 2 potatoes when you pay extra to have them added, generally speaking, everyone else gives at least 2 corn and 4 potatoes as a compliment to the crawfish, so it was a little surprise to know they charge extra, plus they charge extra to add sausage and mushrooms, plus they do offer add on ravioli, but that turned out to just be a side dish. I also ordered the meatloaf sandwich meal with onion rings, my fiance ordered the banh mi meal with fries, plus we ordered a side of cheese sticks. Overall the meatloaf was good, just not as a sandwich, they gave me tater tots instead of onion rings, and then brought me a side of onion rings after I pointed out the mistake, but other than the mix up, the meal was good. The banh mi sandwich was a expected and was good, the fries were nice and hot and salted. The crawfish was a decent size, ranging from small to medium, which is expected for this time of year. Additionally they gave is a dipping butter for them plus crawfish seasoning on the side which was nice. For the quality of the food, the quality of the restaurant and the quality of the staff, I easily give this a 5 star place to eat, if your in conroe and want a great sports bar that offers great food and entertainment, add this place to your list of places to go.

Ask about the “secret menu” we tried the Vietnamese egg rolls. We eat a lot of these and can honestly say, these are the best and biggest around. You get really good bang for your buck here. The crawfish are the best in town, and the cheapest around. The Banh Mi fries will knock your socks off. The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup will surprise you! This place as a foodie place is very unassuming. Give it a try. The beer selection on tap is amazing and the food is even better. We will be back. Already been twice in a week!!!

The place is deceptively spacious on the inside. The atmosphere is inviting, with yet a 'local' feel to it. Our bartender (Kendall) was especially helpful and friendly, and very accommodating. She made the experience very memorable, and I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice sports bar.

Update for my visits since. They boys convinced me it was worth another visit. Both visits since my orginal review have had far better service. The drink deals are good and the specials are a good deal too. I tried the double porky burger and it was great! If you like spicy boiled crawfish/shrimp the southern style shrimp has some heat to it, but I still enjoyed it. I guess my opinion has been changed and the draft is a pretty good place to drink a beer, grab a bite to eat, and watch the game. I genuinly glad they proved me wrong. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the beer wasn't overpriced, and of how hype everyone was when the Astros won the game. Took over 20 minutes for the only waitress working the night to get to us so we could order our drinks. After that, she was back somewhat frequently, but it was the 9th inning when we finally got out drinks, so we only ended up getting 1 round of drinks. Multiple tables were also dirty, making us actually have to search for a table to sit down. Not sure I'll be coming back.

A great place to grab a bite for lunch although I've not been here in the evening, I'm sure it's just as good. They have a special midday menu w/specials on sandwiches, domestic beers and such, which are excellent. Nicole waited on me; super friendly and attentive as is all of their wait staff I've encountered. There's plenty of elbow room/seating in this establishment; not cramped at all, as well as pool tables and sports TV panels. Nice place!

Would have been 5 stars, except the bartender was very rude and just ignoring most customers. It took other staff walking by me multiple times, then stopping to ask what I had ordered, before I could get food and other drinks ordered after my first one. Other staff once we sat at a table was nice, good recommendations. The apps were good, crawfish was cooked well but not very seasoned. Great cocktail options although a couple things I asked for were out of stock. I'd visit again, but really hope to have a better bartender experience.

Have been here a few times and have recently been coming back because the food quality has improved. Consistent and super friendly service. It’s a great place to watch sports with the spread of TVs they have. We stopped by on college football Saturday. Craft beer selection has dipped considerably compared to when they first opened. Got the Parish Ghost in the machine off of draft and it was clean and perfect (which means the lines are clean! Also an improvement over prior visits). Ordered the egg rolls off the ‘secret menu’ - made in house; great pork filling and is a very generous serving. Downside is they plop the hot fried eggrolls onto the lettuce (that you use to wrap it up and eat) and it wilts. This recent visit included a side of cilantro but most of it was rotten 😑 Wife ordered the delicious mozz sticks - perfectly fried and crisp.. definitely not your run of the mill commercial mozz sticks.

I’ve gone to the draft regularly since they opened the doors with the original owners years ago. Since the new owners have taken over they have run this place into the ground! Food is terrible to the point that many people leave to get food. The wings are about the only thing I’d consider eating and you’re going to have to wait 30 - 40 min on average because they have one cook who doesn’t speak English and has to use Google Translate on his phone to communicate with the staff. The tv service was off for months and no way to watch sports other than a tv or two that they were streaming to. I have been present when pool tables, juke box and darts were removed due to non payment from the company that leased them. Centerpoint showed up to turn the power off on a Friday for non payment and the bartender had to ask him to wait while she called the owners to pay the bill so she could keep the bar open. CO2 was out for multiple days and and no draft beers or sodas etc worked. Cranberry was out for over a week. There’s constantly trash all over the patio and even the entrance piled out of a cigarette butt container. Tables and chairs are stacked up all over the patio and inside the bar and shoved against walls along with poker tables. Bottom line if you’re looking for good food and service this isn’t your place anymore. If you’re looking for a makeshift poker room / pool tournament where your shoes stick to the floor and you aren’t hungry or thirsty this place is for you. This used to be a great spot and great crawfish but I will not return until ownership changes again. The angry elephant, Tailgators and moonshine deck are all within a mile or two and are FAR better options
