Meatball parmagiana, steak & sweet peppers and eggplant parmigiana heroes... magnificent! It will be three meals for me. Bread was toasted and not doughy...it appeared like it was an entire eggplant in the hero :-). Excellent price. Arturo's never disappoints!

My first time to Arturo's. The gnocchi and the eggplant were delicious. The portions were big too. For someone who eats in Little Italy, on Arthur Ave., and Westchester at some amazing Italian restaurants, I was very impressed.

Have enjoyed Arturo's Tavern for many years. Delicious food, great service, good value, huge portions, friendly staff, and by far, the best cocktails in town. Hesitation moving to Jupiter, Florida in 2 weeks, going to miss this wonderful restaurant, but will visit 3-4 times annually! Carmelo, see you in 3 months!😚

Excellent Martini menu. Friendly staff. Summers are nice out on the patio. The Bolognese sauce is delicious as is alot of the food here. One of my fave spots. Espresso Martinis rock!

Arturo's is a classic. Very good food. But it's the little things that count here. Fresh delicious salad and warm bread start your meal. Choice of sides; order the crispy potatoes. Great service, esp from Lynne. Espresso served with lemon rind; as it should be served.

Have been there many times over the years and always enjoyed it. The food is always tasty, well prepared, and outstandingly presented. The portions are very generous. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere very comfortable and clean. The menu is quite extensive and the specials have never disappointed. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the food, service and ambience are at Arturo's. From when we sat down until we left the staff was very attentive in all areas of out visit and we felt very appreciated by them to be dining there. Truly a sweet gem not to be missed.

Food has gone downhill. Our dishes had no taste. Restaurant was pretty empty on one side and yet we were sat at one of the tiny two tables. Yet still very loud. Waiter disappeared for long amounts of time..They were hosting large family party on other side but this restaurant always had good food but past 2 years it's not good anymore. Much better Italian in the area! Unfortunately it will be our last time at Arturos.

We got takeout this past Sat. And everything was excellent. I can't believe we have basically ignored this place for so many years; I think we went once over 20 years ago. But boy were we surprised. Had chicken scarpiello w/the best potatoes I've ever had and my husband had chicken valestino. We had enough for another while meal and it also came w/salad and fresh bread.It was also very reasonable $. Best takeout we've had in a very long time.

For me, the House Salad with Skirt Steak due to issues with gluten (and I had no issues with this dish) for my love, Chicken Parm, both of us very happy, very fulfilled. We greatly enjoyed our experience here, although my whiskey sour was somewhat weak, the food was divine, service was very prompt, and the atmosphere was excelent. Will definitely be returning here for our rare dates when the children are in others hands.

Purchased 2 half trays for takeout, eggplant parm and meatballs/sausage. Very reasonable cost and delicious. Guests loved it. Did provide some additional sauce. Well worth the purchase. Will repeat.

Visited many many times n am ALWAYS PLEASED with their food, the staff !! There's definitely a warm family feeling you get the moment you walk in and throughout your stay. And, your hostess/ wait staff are always attentive to you. Customers shouldn't have to hunt down help, n that certainly isn't the case here. Ciao

We recently had a party for my mother-in-laws 90th birthday for 11 people. Service and food were great! Staff went above and beyond and we are so appreciative. We highly recommend this awesome restaurant!

Dinner was absolutely delicious came with the beautiful house salad and nice crusty bread. I really enjoyed the Cavatelli and I had meatballs that would the size of a house. Delicious all around.

Great find on line. Not the fanciest place but service was friendly,courteous and fast. Felt like famil. Food was fantastic. Great menu, not to cluttered and had basic choices with nice out of the ordinary choices. Martini menu was a highlight. Had to try The Italian Combo Martini.

Dining here never disappoints!!! The food is exceptional. The dishes we ordered were some of the best I have had in an Italian restaurant. The Veal Marsala was by far the best I ever tasted. My husband had the Clams Possillipo and again the best ever. The service is friendly, professional and efficient. The prices are reasonable and worth it. Overall this experience is a 10+!!!!!

Our go to order is a straight up margarita and whatever they have on their weekly special, they don’t miss EVER. Their portions are HUGE for the lowest price you’ll get in the area. Yesterday I gave a surprise birthday party at Arturo's. From the 1st call for info I was thrilled. The menu choices, the price, the amount of food and the quality of food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about how good the food was. The staff could not have been nicer, anything I asked for was provided. Carmelo was so easy to work with. Julia our server was pleasant and helpful. HIGHLY recommend you think about Arturo's as your first choice for dinner or a special occasion party.

I love Arturo’s. The food is always delicious, very generous portions, the atmosphere is great for any occasion, the staff/service is very friendly and very prompt, and they make the best tasting drink called Nutellatini.

Arturo's is somewhat of a hidden gem located in between the outskirts of Carmel Hamlet and the heart of Mahopac. Go with a group of friends because the bar has a really intimate setting that's not too loud. If you go in the fall, ask the bartender about the apple cider martini. It blew us away.

My wife kids and myself have come here many times. The food is consistent the service is good. On our last visit in January of 2020, it was freezing inside. When the heat would come on as soon as it would turn off the vent would be blowing cold air. Other than that, I highly recommend to Santa's helper drink LOL. The food was good and the staff was friendly.

We have been going to Arturo's since the late '90s. It is a quaint, little Italian restaurant in Mahopac. We have never had a bad meal there, and we almost always come home with leftovers. The servings are huge, similar to family style, and the prices are very reasonable. We have had a few parties at Arturo's, and they were very accommodating. We just had my daughter's Communion party there, and everything was perfect. The staff is friendly, and some of them have been there for as long as I have been going there. They are our go to Italian restaurant.

Nice food big portions with great service. Cool martini menu. Plus they give you a tossed salad with great Italian bread as soon as you sit down. Very good value!

As always the Mussels are delicious and the 1/2 order is huge Arturo's Tavern has the only perfect Vinegar and Oil salad dressing we have ever found, we took home what we couldn't finish. Homemade Cavatelli with Broccoli Rabe and Chicken in a Garlic and Oil sauce was wonderful. A special of Homemade " Velvet Ribbon " pasta with Crumbled Sausage in a Cream sauce was outrageous . The food very well prepared, the ambiance was nice and warm and the Servers are friendly and attentive. Although the prices are a little higher than other local restaurants, the portion size more than makes up for that, they are huge. We enjoy coming here once a month.

I went to Arturo's to celebrate with a client, their purchase of a property. We had drinks. The espresso martini is excellent. I will be moving into the area and look forward to having many dinners here.

My prime rib special was delicious. 2 people in our party ordered the stuffed shells and they were dry. Our other guest ordered the steak pizziola and that was very good. Although the food is usually good, it can be hit or miss.

Nice local New York Italian restaurant. Food is very good...but I gotta ding a place that charges you for each additional tiny cup of coffee. Things are expensive nowadays, at least give free coffee refills, especially with those tiny tiny mugs.

Food was good and plentiful. We had lunch. We had a zucchini appetizer that was delicious and very unique. The dinners were not as warm as we would have liked them but the waitress was alone and doing the bar. She did her best to meet all of our needs. A sweet, fun young lady named Elaine. I highly recommend Arturo's. They are open Monday and closed Tuesday. Smart thinking since so many restaurants are closed Monday.

I mainly go here for dinner. The food is delicious. Cannot go wrong the any of the veal options. Pork chops are good as well. The service is excellent. It was really busy and they didn't miss anything. The drinks were awesome. They have a huge list of martinis. Definitely recommend.

The restaurant has a cozy old cabin feel. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. they follow all the covid-19 requirements. I had the penne vodka, my husband had the chicken marsala. A family style salad was served along with warm bread. For dessert I ordered lava cake. We both enjoyed the entrees. The wine was nice and the lava cake was fresh. For appetizers we had the crab cake. We were not a fan of the crabcake because it was really mostly bread with some crab.

It was ok. Yes, they serve very generous size entre's and the bread is to die for. The meal itself was just ok. Great service as well, but I won't be going back. I know many who love it, just not for me.

I was very disappointed tonight. We frequent arturos on Friday nights for their happy hour. Tonight, on Valentine's day they didn't have the happy hour prices. Why not?.They did not post on their website that it w be different tonight.

It's a very loud place that feels crowded and busy. Service was bad, but the owner tried to make it right. Food was okay, but not worth the 1.5h wait. I feel like they need to decide if they want to have more of a sports-bar type of place or higher-end restaurant. They're currently missing the mark on both.

What a great place! Worth the trip from The Bronx! We were greeted by super friendly Steve and Lynn! The food was delicious, the waitress was sweet and wonderful! On the night that I attended there was a fantastic singer who sang Frank Sinatra, Paul Anka, Dean Martin! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night! Can't wait to go again! Great job Arturo's!

Sorry to say we were there tonight for a family event and have been there many times over the years. Seems to have gone down hill. The pork chops with potatoes and peppers the potatoes were Unedible they were so burnt, and I couldn't find the peppers. The chicken parm was much smaller and they gave you a cup of pasta. I would not recommend you waste your money going there.

Place is good but they like to cram people into tables making for an uncomfortable experience. You’d be better off going on an off night rather than a weekend or holiday. Bathrooms are horrendously small and uncomfortable also.

Service was fantastic but the meals were just ok . The potato croquettes were frozen in the middle and my chicken franchise had no lemon on it .

Should pay their employees enough to want to work so that they come in and are staffed instead of buying expensive cars with Money generated from their hard work that they don't see. Or don't complain NoBoDy WaNtS tO wOrK because of course not you don't pay then enough. Sad they deserve more for the high quality of their work.

After many years around this area, I decided to try Arturo’s. The food was very bland. I got the penne Vodka and my girlfriend got spaghetti Carbonara. We were surprised with how bland the food was. Other reviews are very accurate when they say the portions are big. Unfortunately you are getting large portions of bland food. The service was decent. Our waitress seemed more contempt with talking to people at the bar then to actually wait on her tables. All in all, bad experience. Won’t be going back a second time. There are other better restaurants around for the same price.

Had an event here recently wasnt the greatest experience. We were crammed into one side of the place when I originally thought we would have other side of restaurant that was more open and accommodating to my guests and to older elderly people and baby strollers. Table was missing atleast ten chairs that guests had to wait for with extra settings. Felt like there wasn’t alot of food for the price that was charged even though it was family style. No vegetables potatoes rice etc with any family style entree that was expected to be shared and the bakery cookies were just awful, 6 to a small plate, could have gotten better options at stop and shop.

The turkey dinner was not fresh it was a process turkey and potato were cold and the stuffing had carary seed and fenell in it and saugage which was a let down . i am surprise at arturo they are usually a 3 star not less then a 1 star . even the leftover i would not feed to my dogs. Not a happy night and i had to pay for it too.

Disgusting food. Was told by the waitress that italians from the Bronx come up to eat it. Lmao. Spedini ala Romana was hard bread. Unable to cut it. Covered with a congealed brown gravy. Stuff you see in a jar. SMH.

I have lived in Mahopac for 10 years. The first time I had food at this establishment was in June or July 2020, I had food to go, and it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. I knew I would never go there and eat at the restaurant. Tonight, three years later, I was out with my son and wanted to eat somewhere and I figured, maybe three years ago they had a bad night with everything that was happening with the pandemic, why don’t I give them a chance. What a mistake. Just entering the restaurant, you can tell how humid it was. I don’t care about what the motif is, I need to feel comfortable, and I did not. We sat down, and ordered our food. My son cannot decide between two appetizers so he ordered the fried calamari and fried ravioli. These two items were very bland and greasy. For our main courses, he ordered the chicken francese , and I ordered the veal francese. The sauce in these dishes was nowhere near a francese. You did not taste butter, you did not taste lemon, nor did you taste wine. It was this greasy puddle that made the meat so wet that all of the breading fell off into this greasy heap, and you were basically eating meat, and the breading was left in the dish. Never have I eaten a worst dish. The veal was tough, and inedible. I also noticed, that we ordered all this food, but we’re not given any bread, and I paid extra for a salad, that never made it to my table. When the waitress came over and asked us how everything was, her facial expression changed when she looked at me and saw my facial expression. I asked her, excuse me, this is our first time here, do you not serve bread with the meals? And she replied to me, didn’t I bring you any bread? And I said no you did not. Then she looked down at our unfinished plates and said, did you ever get your salad? And I said no please take it off the bill. She brought the check and with taxes we were forced to pay $81 for this nightmare of a meal. I always tip 20% because it is not the waitresses fault of how the food came out. And even though it was her fault that she did not bring us any bread and forgot to bring me my salad, I still tipped her 20%. I cannot recommend this restaurant in the least. Since moving up north 20 years ago from Yonkers, I find some restaurants are a hit and miss, this one is a total miss and a total mess.

I called, seemed to care less. "Sorry we'll let the chef know". The Shell steak was all tendon. Like you cut away the meat and sent me the tendon. Normally I wouldn't complain but this was so glaringly obvious. I wouldn't give this to my pup in fear he'd choke on it. You should be ashamed to let that be sent out. I posted on FB, many seem to know the owner and speak highly about him and the food. Not my experience. Wasn't just the steak the pasta was over cooked, my pup did seem to like that. After this I'll never order or go there .

My order of food was as follows: Valdostano chicken that never came on fries, Clams oreganata were dry and burnt, Zucchini Ribbons totally burnt, the waitress said Crispy, to me they looked and tasted bitter and burnt. worst food I have eaten in the last year and a half of living in NY State, I would never go back to this place.

Arturo's used to be one of my Favorite restaurants to eat Really Good Family Style Italian food. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. The Food is Definitely NOT the same !!. I went on a Saturday evening at 6:00 with my sister & 8 year old daughter. The food was really Not Good ...at all ! Sausage was cold & pasta was mushy soaked in oil!!! NEVER AGAIN !! NOT THE SAME PLACE ..NOT THE SAME FOOD !

My husband brought me home a wrap with some french fries. I Opened the container , took a bite of the french fries , and it was just grease. Took The wrap out of the container, it was so greasy.I wrapped it in paper towel.Second round of paper towel.I'm still getting grease out of it. Call the restaurant to talk to them about the order.And was told it's because the chef fried the eggplant in a little bit of oil and garlic. If you look at that bottom of that tray in the picture that's a little bit more than cooking in a little bit of garlic and oil. The lady who answered the phone was argumentative.RudeAnd talk to me like I didn't understand food. When I explained to her that I have been a chef for over 40 years.She got even ruder. We'll never go back. My husband and his friend ate lunch there.And they said the food was marginal , but the service was phenomenal.

One, if not the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. A plate full of water, from the pasta not being strained properly, huge whole tomatoes in place of my seafood, the lack of sauce, if any!!! Topped with a big hand full of cilantro, not oregano, or basil, (cilantro) who puts that on pasta? The pricing is totally outrageous for what they are surviving there!!! I've had better fake Italian food at Olive Garden!!!
