Jaqueline was an amazing server! She was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. She checked on us at the right times, kept our drinks full, and made us feel very welcome. Her positive attitude and great service really made our experience even better. Thank you, Jaqueline, for the excellent service we will definitely be coming back!
We've order via Door Dash from here many times but this is our first time eating inside. I ordered the puffy taco plate and it is amazing! Had to eat it with a knife and fork because it was so big. Also, our server was very sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back.
Service is always fast and smooth. Food is really good! I’ve had the breakfast tacos and tortilla soup. I’ve never had a bad dish from here.
El Rincon is an absolute gem. My wife picked up take-out recently and we were blown away by everything — the food, the service, and the prices. We ordered three huge street taco plates (four tacos per order — 12 tacos total!), amazing and flavorful beans, coffee, and mac and cheese + french fries for our picky 2-year-old. The portions were incredibly generous, especially for the price. Every single taco (we ordered beef and pastor) was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and flat-out delicious. The beans were excellent, the coffee was surprisingly delicious, everything was spot-on. Even our toddler cleaned up her plate, which says a lot. The food was fresh, our order came out fast, and the value is outstanding compared to other places in the area. This is the kind of local spot you hope to find — great food, fair prices, and quality you can taste. We absolutely love El Rincon and will be back again and again. Highly recommend!
Great Mexican restaurant. The food tastes amazing! Season just right with lots of flavor. The portions are very big and you could easily split a meal with someone. The wait staff is very accommodating and kind. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great prices and our waitress, Julia was exceptional! The salsa verde excellent and should be sold online and in the stores! Would eat here again.
My granddaughter wanted to try some place different, so we tried El Rincon. We were very pleased! And we go there about once a month. Great food, service and prices
Came here as a second choice, we tried to get tacos across the street but they were overwhelmed so we ate here. So glad we did, I got the Migas and it was awesome. Friendly wait staff. Popular with the locals so you know it’s good.
Stopped by El Rincon Mexican Restaurant and had a blast — their street tacos were simple but packed with flavor, and the gorditas with your choice of meat plus beans, crema, cheese and avocado were just the right balance of hearty and fresh (saw them on their Uber Eats menu). The torta cubana was a great surprise — loaded with milanesa, ham, sausage, avocado — big, bold, and satisfying. The vibe is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed taco night. The staff were friendly and efficient, and I loved being able to see how they prep tortilla shells and fillings right in back. Definitely a spot I’ll be back to for late-night cravings.
The food was delicious!! The atmosphere was welcoming and a club vibe. Had a live band playing all sorts of music!! All they needed was a dance floor!! There was a seat available soon as we walked through the door. The band sang Happy Birthday to anyone who was having one. It was our first time coming here, and we had a great time!!
Stopped in here on the way back to Austin. The food and service was great. Price to proportion ratio was on point. The beans were so good I could’ve just eaten a quart of those and been happy 😅
I asked the waitress about the cheese they use and she said they use cheddar so I ordered enchiladas. However, I was very disappointed because they did not use cheddar, they use American. Then our waitress was not very attentive. In fact we had to get up and ask for napkins and had to keep asking for refills on our drinks from other waitresses. The atmosphere was comfortable. But the winners were the puffy tacos. The taco meat was delicious and the toppings were fresh.
I had the shrimp chile relleno. It was great, well seasoned, and the poblano pepper was cooked perfectly. A few of the tables were dirty, and the salsa was not great (no flavor, tastes like pure tomatoes). Perhaps having a green and red choice in the future?
Not bad, the potatoes and eggs needed more salt but not that big of an issue. The service was good. We did order some food togo and were missing sides of rice and beans we ordered. Not a big deal but we were charged for those. We came for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. Lots of parking but some of the spots make it a little difficult to get out and around the parking lot.
The margaritas were made with unnatural ingredients and the Migas was mediocre. I don't like to leave bad reviews. A little tweak here and there would make this spot fantastic. They could do better margaritas and service by the numbers would benefit this spot
This was my first time eating here, and overall it was a good experience. The chips and salsa served at the beginning were really good—the salsa was especially tasty. The enchiladas were delicious and generously portioned—I couldn’t finish them all! The chicken in the quesadillas was a bit dry, but my daughter still enjoyed most of it. The beans had a slightly old taste, but I like beans, so I still ate some. The music was a little loud for my preference. On the bright side, both the restaurant and the restroom were clean and well-kept.
Good Tex-Mex place. Nothing overtly special and nothing really bad. We had a larger party than normal (8) and it took longer than expected to get the table ready even though it was not very busy. Regular drinks and chips/dips came quickly and then everything slowed way down. Margarita was great. Food was good, once it all arrived. The 15 minutes between when the first plate was delivered and the last to be delivered caused a cooling off that was not beneficial for enjoyment of the dishes. I am marking this one down as "not good for groups".
Food was 3/5 starts but the service brought it down to 2. They never checked up on us after food was dropped. Once we were done eating, it took about 10 minutes before our waitress came by and we asked for to go's and the hill at the same time. The major feeling I got from the food was the debate of whether things were store bought versus made in house. And even if they were made in house, then I feel like HEB does it better (chips and tortillas in particular). At the end of the day, the big question "Would I come back?" Probably not.
First, the service was terrible. We specifically asked for queso, and at the same time placed our food order. Waited waited for queso never came. Waitress never came back until our food was served. So why ask about the queso and by then our drinks was empty and chips was gone. Keep asking for green sauce the waitress argued and said some red sauce better and never showed back up to ask if our food was good disappeared. We had to get up to pay for our food. We came from out of town for a football game. I’m at gonna be a hard pass!
I don't see the hype for this food, food doesn't have any taste, rice taste like school rice, our waiter made us wait about 15 min without checking to see if we were ready to order, which by that time we were. I got the menudo and fajita taco, 2 out of 10. If you want good mexican food this ain't it.
Salsa? Saltless tomato soup. Queso? Tastes and looks like someone nuked Velveeta Guac? Bland green paste. Drinks? Order one, then go start a family—maybe by the time your kid’s in kindergarten, it’ll show up. And when it does arrive, behold the “espresso martini”: it looks like a prop from Twister—separated layers, mystery textures, and, for some reason…a cherry. A cherry! a science experiment gone wrong, complete with a cherry bobbing around like it wandered in from a Shirley Temple. But hey—when your Tex-Mex joint is moonlighting as a Sunday Funday DJ pool party, what could go wrong? Everything —thats the answer. Tried it in 2018. Tried again in 2025. Spoiler alert: still trash. I’d normally give a place three tries, but this one’s already out here failing the sequel. Save your taste buds. Save your dignity. Just… don’t. P.S - Want to know the best thing on the menu? It's a White Claw.
Enchiladas the sauced is not good taste like it came out of the can. The chicken inside is good. The beans dont have no taste n the texture poor. The rice is fair not to bad better them the beans. The chicken quesadillas are good. The tea is OKAY they vould do better . The chip and salsa are Good. The waitress was nice and try her best to attend us . The area seem to be fairly clean. Draft beer seems to taste as normal no complaints my husband says his soup didnt taste good at all it was a 4 out
