10/10 – Yummy Taco Spot in Maitland Delicious food, fast service, and super friendly staff. Johanna was especially helpful—she explained the menu, suggested favorites, and made sure we were taken care of. Ordering on the tablet was easy, with pictures of every item and simple customization. Great lemonade and soda options too. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious and on point. This place is a diamond in the rough…I would go here again 10 stars. Genesis was the lady that helped us. She was kind and her customer service skills were great. I haven’t had good food and food service in a long time. The meat was perfectly seasoned. The vibe was nice as well. The prices were reasonable and you got a full plate of food.

The food here is so good & the portions can feed 2+ people for one meal. Perfect for date nights! Also the vibe is great for an eat & yap session :) 10/10. Denise & her team were very helpful and attentive to our table. Offered complimentary water & checked in on how the food tasted.

Tried for the first time and 10 out of 10! Staff was so friendly, great vibe inside, and the food is phenomenal! Highly recommend anything birria here. The drinks were yummy too, tried the sunset drink and the smoothie!

Food 🥘 is very delicious; rich and tasty. Wide variety of food; meat, chicken, shrimp, and veggies. Service is awesome since the moment you get in until you leave. Prices are reasonable. All the meat is Halal. I highly recommend this taco place. You must try their authentic pulled beef, very soft and tender!

It was spontaneous date on a rainy Monday night. The service was fast. We got 2 of their flavored lemonades - both delicious and you can get refills to try out a different flavor each time. For an appetizer we ordered sides of their Mexican Rice and Street Corn with chips to dip - yummy! We got the Carribbean Carne Tacos and the Trio pick your own tacos - Bang Bang Shrimp, Carne Asada, and Mahi Mahi. All were so good and bursting with flavor. I believe anything you get at this place would be amazing. We can't wait to go back for more!

Absolutely wonderful service and food!! Tera and Johanna did the absolute best !! I drove over an hour to try and I’ll definitely come back!!! We got so much food but we were too fast to eat I couldn’t take other pictures. Highly recommended

Went for a date night and was very impressed. Got loaded fries, caribbean carne tacos, quesabirria, street corn and finished with strawberry churros. Everything came out fast and was very filling. Staff was nice.

My first time here after having it recommended by a friend, and I will DEFINITELY be back! There's so many other items on the menu I wanna try, but this first time I got these fantastic chicken tacos! They were delicious! Plus the strawberry lemonade was perfect, and the street corn blew me away! I finished off with some strawberry and cream churros, and I'll say it was all money well spent!

The paintings are beautiful and great to look at. I just dat here eating my tacos staring at the lady on the wall. The bang bang shrimp tacos are phenomenal and I love the authenticity of the food and atmosphere. Johanna was a sweetheart and very nice, she helped us with the kiosk machine and got the screen back working again. I had a lovely time with my boyfriend and he is from Miami so, he enjoyed his first time coming to this location as well.

Love love love . I know what you’re thinking … TACOS!!? Had them once, had them all. Not in this case. Talking tacos will have you doing just that talking people to come on in and try . Tacos are filled with protein and flavor. So many different options . I’ve never been disappointed. Place is always clean . They move quickly . Service is always on point and friendly . I wish they had more locations . My job is close but not home but they’re worth the 30min drive . Also love they’re to go setup they have great containers to keep your tacos from being soggy or getting messy. Def a must try!! Special shout out to Isa and Joanna

Service was super fast despite it being busy at lunchtime. The tacos were tasty. I hate having to order on the kiosk, but I'm glad there were some customization options available. I wish there were more options to substitute things for people who can't eat spicy food or cilantro rather than just removing things.

We came in for the first time the other night and will definitely be back again in the near future! Isabel made our experience all that much more enjoyable, she was so patient with us as we looked over the menu, let us sample sauces and some of the street corn. She kept a positive attitude and a smile the whole time we were there. The portions were huge and they were so tasty!! We tried the location in SoDo and were not nearly as impressed with the food or the service. I would highly recommend this location over the other.

Ordered a taco salad and got a chicken rice bowl instead. For $25 I expect my order to be right. I did not have a complicated order, I only ordered 4 items and none were crazy customization. Thankfully DoorDash gave me the money back. But for the price I paid for my meal it makes me not want to try this place again. No help for first timers, wasn't sure if you wait to be seated or seat yourself. Stood at the door Noone said anything even though they saw us. Had to ask about seating. McDonalds style self serve ordering.Carful when paying its automatically set to add 22% tip. orders came out at different intervals so we had the choice of letting the food get cold and wait or be finished before others orders came out. Pricey for mediocre food.

Normally, my reviews are done by myself, after multiple visits (if able). And even when I am with friends, I try to be objective, finding the good, the bad, and any noteable items that makes a place stand out. Well, Talkin' Tacos Maitland stood out in a few ways. The first was how gross the food was! Now, I can eat anything, I enjoy all kinds of foods. But after only one visit, you couldn't pay me to go back to this location. I got the crunchwrap and the elotes, with the Hochata. The Hochata was the only thing I actually enjoyed. But the corn was gross. I literally paid $7 for canned corn. That was not elote. That was canned corn with a couple sprinkles of cheese. The crunchwrap beef was also probably the worse graded beef you could get. I'd have been better off just getting a crunchwrap at Taco Bell? Probably. 1/3 the cost for the same terrible product. If my friends had more influence on the reviews, the food would be a 1 star. But the Horchata was my saving grace. Now, I do want to give a shout out to the 2 employees working. That place was pretty busy, between online orders and people coming in, I was ultimately shocked neither of them just didn't walk out. Instead, they hung in there and kept that place going. On the one hand, you probably could benefit from more staff on a Friday night. But on the other, kudos to the team members. The thing about Talkin Tacos is that a) it's open late and b) the food they offer might seem better than, say McDonalds. Those are the things that stand out. I just hope the employees get paid fairly for the work they have to do.

Took 43 min to get my order, even though I ordered and paid online saying they were going to take about 13 min to do it , i received a incomplete order which i went back and got my missing items , the food was very tasty , the salsas were very disappointing because they are not fresh or house made they were cheap versions of tapatio like red and green salsa , the place was very dusty and greasy. If you’re hungry hungry don’t come here. I been waiting more then hour for my food after they told me and my wife it will be done in 20 mins. They kept on telling me it also done. It was literally a few people that order after us and they been long gone. No communication at all with these people. I should have went to McDonald or somewhere else. Waste of time. Never again.

Everytime I go to this location my order always gets messed up some how. I order a steak burrito, ended up getting shrimp march 1st I contacted stated the situation and was offered a refund. Still no refund and no help. SoDo location does a great job most of the time. But business across talking tacos has declined over the past year. Also when you place your order online it doesn’t tell you when the order is done. Just expectancies.

Something Doesn’t Add Up Just tried the food—greasy, stale chips, and honestly no real flavor profile. It felt rushed and heavy, like everything was just thrown together. What’s even weirder is the nonstop wave of five-star reviews this place gets—dozens every single day, many from accounts with one or two reviews total. A lot of the wording feels recycled, and the owner replies to every single one within hours, like he doesn’t sleep. Seriously—he’s responding 24/7. Something doesn’t add up. Smells as fishy as their fish burrito.

Took 55 minutes to get 3 tacos. Staff puts priority on online/togo orders rather than the customers who choose to come for a good time. Not sure if I’ll be coming back…

Dined in today, ordered the Birria Mac and cheese. Needless to say; I’d have rather burned a 20.00 bill. The pasta was over cooked and mush. The mac n cheese itself was soup (pools of oil on the surface) and left much to be desired. Have no idea how to even resolve this as there was no manager present to address the food quality issue and your order by kiosk so nobody is really there to assist you regardless of the situation unless you catch an employee at the front restocking real quick

The food was fine, but the restaurant setup is very impersonal and seems to be set up for take-out instead of dine-in. There was no one to take your order, just two self-order kiosks. If you wanted water or silverware, you had to ask the staff, who were very willing to help, but also very occupied with take-out orders. I would recommend supporting a restaurant that actually pays a workforce of human employees to interact with customers.

So what shows up is an a container of three tortillas, with nothing in them, and the toppings in containers. How does anyone who works in a restaurant package a container of empty tortillas to go? And what is really disappointing is no one is answering the phone, so she’s had to get in the car and drive back to the restaurant to seek remediation. The food here is very good, although the portion sizes are small. We have ordered from the restaurant once before and loved the food but were hungry again a couple hours later after eating a full entree. But this combination of astonishingly poor service tonight means the manager on duty isn’t on duty and the training of the team working this evening has failed pretty badly. I mean, it’s like ordering a hamburger with everything on the side and getting an empty bun without a patty…and answer the phone! If the phone had been attended to, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review as we would have hopefully achieved a resolution.
