It was clean and everyone who works there is nice. It is in a busy area traffic wise, but it is a great place for crussaunts and cookies. I do not recommend their lemonade though because it is very tart. But over all it is a great 4.6 star restaurant.

This is the most authentic cafe experience I've had in NY. Finding quality espresso coffee has been a struggle, let alone the friendly familiar and welcoming environment that makes Cafe culture what it is in Australia. Kookaburra exudes this warmth, with cheerful and kind staff, who are passionate about their craft and standard of service. They have an eclectic selection of pastries, cookies and cakes to accompany your beverage, and cosy inviting seating options. So you can sit down, relax, and enjoy listening to the impeccable playlist, or have a chat with the lovely staff. A must visit, and if you're local, it's time to become a regular.

I went for the first time this week and I think I pound my new favorite coffee shop. I order a dirty chai (chai latte with espresso) and it was one of the best I had. The workers were so friendly, we ended up talking for a bit and it was so refreshing to have employees take the time to just chat with you. A great meeting spot and also a great place to sit alone and get work done.

Coffee and pastries are so good I see so many reviews complaining about only cash Um? It says it everywhere They have signs out and inside , I don’t see why people are complaining it just makes no sense The staff is so nice Will be my coffee spot from now on

Yesterday, my wife and I stopped in for a latte and coffee. Why didn't we come here sooner? Forget Starbucks. My latte was the best I've had in months and months. Kookaburra's latte was smooth, steady coffee flavor, and the steamed frothy milk/cream was like whipped cream. So good. I thought the brew was perfect to my taste. Don't like over roasted coffee elsewhere. The staff was friendly and cordial. Makes me want to stay a while. Perfect coffee shop for our little village. I must make it my regular stop. Best of luck to your success. Maybe light live guitar music one day? If you could stay open for the people getting out of the Malverne Theater that would be a great way to end an evening.

Very few places carry an Ethiopian drip blend and it’s a home run here! Relaxed, completely, comforting, cozy coffeehouse, which is a must visit and very rarely would you not find a parking spot. Gabby is a gem and her and staff completely kind and professional. I know you would love this place too.

I have been a customer since the place opened. Chris, Kat and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee is great and there are always changes to the menu, which I love. Definitely my go to place for coffee. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

My absolute favorite spot. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly, but the drinks are also delicious and made with special attention to your order. The atmosphere is super chill and is a perfect place to sit and have a quiet laid-back drink while working or writing. I feel at home every time.

The best decaf iced coffee! My favorite coffee spot. I always add salted caramel and it’s just perfect. Consistent, always the best, and my kids love ALL of their baked goods especially the bagels + mini muffins 👌🏻❤️

the greatest place ever. truly the only thing that gets me through senior year lol. Besides amazing coffee (and such good bagels) there are genuinely the nicest people you will ever meet working here. They care so much about getting every order right and making sure you’re happy with everything. My friend and I have literally been short on cash (MULTIPLE TIMES bc we are the worst) and they have helped us out with those missing 33 cents. this place and the ppl that work there have my whole heart.

Cash only, just FYI. Usually that's a problem but luckily I did have some on me today! This place is crazy delicious and super cute. Staff was very friendly and the baked goods looked tasty. I'm savoring every sip of this coffee cause I don't want it to end!

Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness. When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽 I highly recommend the Malverne Kookaburra Coffee Company.

Unfortunately, for us vegans, not many vegan pastries but I understand why; maybe they'll be more in the future. All kinds of coffee options as well as regular and alternative milks. For the seating there were about 2 or 3 tables with 4-6 chairs in the front and about 3 or 4 tables in the back hallways that each had 2 chairs. The bathroom was kept clean by the hard working staff. I definitely recommend supporting places like this if your looking for an early date place with your significant other, working on something by yourself, or just need some coffee from a wonderful small business like this one.

I purposely left my wallet home thinking I wouldn’t need it, but this sweet generous lady paid for my coffee and suggested I just pay it forward for the next person. I will soon come back one morning and pay for the 2 persons. You can’t out-generous me, you beautiful stranger! And a shout out goes to the barista for her kind service, too.

The Lavender Latte I had was good, but with Oat Milk cost a hefty $6 - for a medium, not even a large. However the drink was flavorful, and not too sweet. The scone I had lacked flavor, but was fresh. Overall the place was a bit expensive for my taste honestly, but the service was good and the coffee was better then average.

I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and a iced latte with a bit of vanilla. The coffee was super good, loved it. The everything bagel was super nice from the thickness and all but just had waaaay too much salt on it, got a sodium shock. Sat there for 5-10 min just peeling off all the salt. They are anti cash 😁😁 there's a lot of looking around too if your new faces and also they will give you a look that who are you in the town look 😁😁 today I heard a girl laughing on the back because the register dude ran to the back to share something how about the customer for 5 sec then he return .. now I'm gonna to have to go there every day to see what's going on. Maybe bring a stack of cash💸 💸

Love(d) their chai latte. The first two times I came here the same barista served me. I haven't seen her since and my lattes haven't been as good. The last several times that I purchased a hot tea or coffee, it has been lukewarm.

Medium hot latte with almond milk $8.10? Really?

Feel like it is unfair for a business to operate on only cash policy. Barista said no credit cards are allowed, only cash as form of payment so I waited in line, ordered, and everything only to not be able to pay last minute as i did not carry cash that day to get my drink

I was extremely disappointed with this coffee shop. Not only do they only accept cash, which is a huge inconvenience, but my friends that got the coffee itself said that it was extremely weak and tasted almost like water. I wouldn't waste my time or money at this place. There are plenty of other coffee shops out there that offer a better product and accept a wider range of payment options.
