Kids friendly: we were not sure if kids were allowed but delighted to see others with even younger kids. Pretty crowded but our waitress was attentive. Made excellent recommendation on cocktails. Definitely get the gourmet tacos - we got pork belly, shrimp and carne asada. All were finger-licking good!

Shelter Nachos w/ added grilled chicken were made with quality ingredients and were delicious. 🍹 were delicious and the service provided was top notch.

Nice distillery with beer, cider, and spirits available, they even have Tuesday specials with margaritas and tacos. You can see the stainless steel tanks inside and have a couple benches outdoors as well. They use toasttab to order and pay through a QR code on your phone or you can order with the waiters. Great spot to grab a drink! We got a hot toddy, their cider, and a spirit tasting.

Phenomenal cocktails and fantastic food. Everything I had here was delicious. The service was great and atmosphere was electric on a Sunday. I have zero complaints about this spot, will absolutely be back!

Shelter Distilling is a place to get warm after a day of skiing! Not only because it has a cozy atmosphere, but the drinks are great as well. We had 2 IPA’s and the Espresso Myself. As far as food we only had the chilli but it was delicious. They also hold events. One coming up! An anniversary event! The service was good. Many bartenders whom all served us, and were very attentive. They have a bar area and a place to be seated at tables. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a drink after a long day of skiing.

What a fun evening with family, live local music, and of course, our drinks! Located just inside the Village and right next to the open plaza, the interior design, and energy will draw you in, and just maybe...won't let you go! What a cool place to hang out, meet some locals, share a conversation, or just enjoy their wonderful cocktails! All 3 of us were pleasantly surprised with just how good they were. So good, we ordered another round...and a bottle to go🤸

Great drinks, huge selection of locally brewed beer right in the Center of The Village! Really nicely done out beer hall with many lagers, IPAs and ciders. Lovely staff with food options too. We went at the end of ski season but it was still by far the busiest place. Great spot if you are local.

Ordered takeout after getting into town late after a long drive. Ordered 6 tacos for taco Tuesday specials and was very impressed with the flavor, portion size and value for money. Favorite was the Philly cheese steak followed by the fish, wasn’t crazy about the pork belly. Also got a to go cocktail that was very good. Would definitely come back.

The best food I’ve had at a ski resort area!! We ordered the steak sandwich and steak and it was goooood esp for the price. Drinks are pretty good, Not the best but still really good :) def worth it for a ski resort place

My husband went with the tacos, which were very good. The second time we came here, we decided to try some of their drinks and were not disappointed! The espresso martini was great. And the old fashioned was good too. Ordered the cake with ice cream for dessert, was good (maybe better for vanilla lovers though). On top of great food, you also get an awesome atmosphere at this place. It’s right in town, and they have a lot of open air seating so you can enjoy the local music and people watch. Also looks like most of the one star reviews from previous years are related to the staff not being responsive and fast enough when patrons walk in. Well, they solved that problem by enabling ordering via QR code right at the table. All in all, a great hangout, well above other food/drink places in Mammoth Village.

This is a good pub with great cocktails and alcoholic beverage choices. They also have good food options ( vegan and vegetarian options available). We ordered the hummus plate, sweet potato tacos, veggie pizza. We also ordered the absinthe cocktail, the coffee liquer cocoa and the tequila cocktail. The cocktails were really good. The hummus plate had a red pepper hummus, basil hummus and the classic hummus. They were served with veggies and naan. The hummus was really good. I really liked the red pepper and the basil hummus options. The taco was good. I only got the sweet potato flavor and did not get the flavor of the avocado crema. The pizza was fine. The place had a good vibe.

The cocktails here are amazing. Food is so so. It's very difficult to grab a spot here. It's packed on the weekends. Otherwise, a friendly place to chat with strangers.

Very close to getting 5 stars across. Great drinks, great food, good service by those bringing food. But when I went up to the register to get seconds on cocktails, the dude at the register said with a snotty attitude: I can sell you beer but not cocktails because it’s too busy. So I’m suppose to drink what you want to sell me? Horrible attitude. the old fashion was very good, but unfortunately I was limited to one.

The food was great — the chef did a really nice job with all the dishes. The only downside was the limited beer selection, and the cocktail I ordered was just okay. Finding a table can be tricky since there are no reservations and it’s open seating. The staff was fast and efficient though, which I appreciated.

Their food is actually pretty good and big portions. The scallop roll was huge. The service is pretty bad, but the staff is setup for mediocrity. You either order at the station where you walk in like a chipotle or off these of crappy QR codes. I've never seen so much staff do so little because as soon as they've delivered whatever they need to they are head down staring at the ground behind the bar. The spirits are pretty meh as well. I'd come again just for the food.

Stopped for some pre dinner drinks, and saw they also served food. But with dinner set, we stuck to drinks. They distill their own spirits, and it seemed like a great place to hang with friends, outside. But we also saw some people seated inside, which is why we took away stars. Just not the time with all that's happening, and were feeling a bit uncomfortable as the crowd started to grow. The drinks though, old fashions, for a cold night - some of the best we've had. And they had a great selection of cocktails, much of which I can't wait to enjoy once we're back up, and in safer times.

Never thought I’d say this about a distillery, but the food was better than the cocktails. Poke bowl was fantastic, perfectly seasoned and portioned perfectly. The cheese curds were good although look unappetizing. They either need to turn the fryer up so the oil is hotter or drop less of them at a time so they don’t look like half fried dough. I had the Haiku and Maple Whiskey Sour, both ridiculously overpriced and mediocre at best. Come from the drinks, stay for the food.

I would not recommend. Seating is first in first served. I approached the server cleaning the table and he explained to sit anywhere and use the QR code to order. Not a fan of ordering by a QR code. I can see it being a good option if you were by yourself and it was great that it enabled quick payment. However for a family with young kids without cell phones, it meant every person had to take the phone to look at the menu. There wasn’t a single paper menu to be found. Therefore it took much longer than usual to order. The food came out quite quickly which I appreciated. We had pizzas, pasta and tacos. They were average and slightly overcooked. Self serve water and there was no salt and pepper for example. The server bringing the food was pleasant and but overall service was lacking for a sit down restaurant. Amusingly, there was a recommendation for a 22% tip on the bill.

I wanted to try their Bourbon but they said they didn’t pour Bourbon? So I tried their whiskey and it tasted ok at best, nothing you can not buy for $20 a bottle. Food, mine came and the chicken was dry and my wife’s and daughters came after I was done eating. The girls said their steak sandwich’s were very good! I would try somewhere else if I make another trip here

I went there with my service dog and was asked to leave. My dog was wearing proper service vest. The waited told us no animal inside, period. The place is very loud and lots of table were dirty with food left over. Not a good vibe
