Hazy Barbecue is known for its delicious smoked meats, especially the brisket and ribs. Customers rave about the tenderness and flavor, with brisket being compared to Texas BBQ. Some find the prices high, but the friendly staff and good beer selection make it worthwhile.

I came here after a long hard day cutting wood and followed my nose to this lovely Gem in downtown Danville. Check out their happy hour between 2:00 and 5:00 it is legit. Are happy hour drinks as well as happy hour food are delicious and I will be bringing a big group of friends back here to take advantage of such a great deal. The wait staff is also awesome to talk to. Many of them kept me company while I sat there by myself enjoying their drinks and food. I highly recommend the Rodeo Burger
Mike is great! Food is great, I waited less than 10 minutes, probably 5 for my two meat plate. The meat is tender and juicy. Everything under $20, 100% would recommend this place.
My husband and I always drove by this place, and would tell each other that we needed to check it out someday because it was always busy and looked like it had a great atmosphere. Last week, we finally stopped there, and I can't believe we waited this long to check it out! It's such a cool place with plenty of space inside and outside. Very clean and modern. You order at the counter, get a buzzer, and then pick up your food when it's ready. The menu is extensive, and the food we ordered was delicious!!! I personally loved the bowl!!
Hazy barbecues a great place to get some nice brisket tri-tip all the good pieces of meat for a great tasting sandwich. They also have a really nice little bar to sit down grab a nice beer and enjoy your meal! If you're ever in downtown Danville check the place out prices are reasonable staff is friendly great beer selection., check out the live music hazy BBQ
This place was delicious!! Also outstanding customer service. 10/10 restaurant
Man. I loved the joint and the food. Prices are on point. There is parking but limited amount up front - may have to park across the street. Friendly staff. BEER IS COLD TOO!! 1 minor thang... the trash builds up quick with the bulky trays and metal utensils. No real place to put the trays that I could see at the time. Other than that - it's a highly recommend spot to hang, eat & drink!!
Good brisket is just SO hard to find, but I finally found a place that has it! They let you pick between three different leanness / fatness and I'm all about the tender fatty brisket so I went for the fatty cut and it was the best brisket I've had outside of Texas. Pro tip, the tenderness kind of goes away after it cools down so eat it fast while it's warm! Also it goes great with their "spicy" BBQ sauce that is pretty mild but has a little kick to it. I also got 1/2 pint sides of brisket beans and creamy slaw but those were just ok. The beans were actually very bland and I had to eat it with BBQ sauce. Their guava sour beer was tasty. I got recommended this place by a reddit thread about people who moved from Texas to the bay area and immediately started looking for any mention of brisket! This place was not far from where I live, so I immediately set out to this place 15 minutes or so after learning of it :P Looks like I don't need to fly all the way back to Texas for some good brisket now! It doesn't beat the best brisket there, but it still hits the spot!
UPDATE: Wanted to see and talk to my wife at Thanksgiving so we took advantage of the Hazy package they offered. It did NOT disappoint. 2 gigantic turkey legs, smoked white meat too...mac & cheese, cheesy mashed potatoes...good heavens it was good. Consistently delicious smoked meats with some decadent side dishes, Hazy does not disappoint. Been coming here since they opened and the place just gets better. So wonderful to see a place that not only survived but thrived. A commitment to good service and good food goes a long way. I’m not sure you can go wrong with most selections on the menu. It’s interesting that you can see people devouring ribs at one table and other tables enjoying a salad. If you enjoy bbq, Hazy has a dish for you. Love their Mac & cheese and the new tempura green bean appetizer is so good. Great selection of beverages too. Lots of taps plus a delicious Jack & Coke slushie.
Truly an excellent experience! We came here during one of their busiest events on a Sunday, and everyone was taken care of quickly, and the food was spot on. Crazy good burn ends and ribs. Ryan was the ultimate host. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

We went there Friday evening and it’s pretty crowded. I tried brisket and tri trip. Both were delicious. I had brussel sprouts as a side and liked it too. We will definitely be back!

We pre-ordered a couple of family meals for the DSCBA Step Up for Down Syndrome walk. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food included. The food was ready at the designated time and was an easy grab and go that included utensils, plates and napkins. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. It was delicious! The cheesy potatoes and Mac n cheese were the favorites. The pulled pork and chicken were really good too.
I called a week in advance and ordered 4 racks of pork ribs for noon on a Saturday. The day before I called and changed the pickup time by an hour. The ribs were ready on time delicious fall off the bone. Both barbecue sauces were a hit as we're the pickled onions and pickles. They have a full bar and make great drinks. The next time we go I'd like to try other things. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. We will go back for dine in.
Hazy BBQ was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. After meeting with Sean, the owner, I immediately told my husband, my fiancé at the time, that I wanted to work with them. Sean is one of the most genuine, down-to-earth people, and from the very first meeting we felt completely comfortable. Even though he knew we were ready to give them our business, Sean never rushed us and was incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. The Hazy team handled everything related to food preparation and setup, and even provided the drink buckets and ice, which was such a huge help and one less thing for us to worry about. And the food. The food was absolutely exceptional. Our guests LOVED it, and my husband and I are big foodies, so having phenomenal food at our wedding was very important to us. Hazy BBQ more than delivered. We have already gone back several times since the wedding, and it is just as amazing every time. We are so appreciative of Sean and the entire Hazy BBQ team for being so wonderful to work with and for helping make our wedding day unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend.

Nice quality BBQ, ribs are spot on, brisket has nice smoke ring and texture, mac and garlic bread held their own as well. Ryan had great hospitality and went above and beyond by stopping by our table and getting to know us a bit. Will be coming back when I’m in the area and I want real BBQ.
I went here with a friend today and she was already a big fan and I regret not coming a lot sooner. I had the paleo bowl, there was a healthy serving of chicken and I loved the cilantro dressing, it was perfect. My friend usually gets the burgers and told me they were very tasty. There is indoor and outdoor seating and prices are very reasonable. The employees are very friendly. I will be back soon!
It's a pretty standard BBQ place. It has a great beer menu and friendly employees, we just weren't impressed with the food. The Tenders came out a little cold, the Mac and Cheese was small for 12 bucks, the nachos were good in flavor, but the meat (burnt ends) was left in huge chunks, I feel like they could chopped it a little. It was decent enough BBQ though. And the atmosphere and employees were great.
Tasty barbecue! A cool spot with yummy food, cocktails and live music. Sides were tasty, and the meats were delicious but dry. Wonderful smoky flavor though, don't miss the ribs, brisket, and cheesy potatoes!
Really good pull pork and ribs You need to order inside

Friendly fast service. The salad was great. The meats were ok. The fat on the brisket was nowhere near being rendered down enough. BBQ beef was just a little pile of shredded beef tossed in bbq sauce. An item was left out of our order but they did refund us. I would go back for the salad.
Great BBQ and beer on tap. Check out the ambience outside during nice days. Taking away one star for high prices, but hey, it’s Danville!

Ordered Thanksgiving dinner here (pictured, except red cabbage was made by me). Smoked turkey had a slight gasoline taste. Brussel sprouts were raw and had to be boiled for a while to be edible. Mac and cheese and the masked potatoes were good. Pecan pie was a mess of pecans and syrup poured into a nice crust. I remixed the awful pie ingredients and made some exotic breakfast muffins. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Overall, the food was decent but there is some room for improvement. Our group ordered several items to share; beef ribs, brisket, andouille sausage, cole slaw, brisket beans, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and fries. The meat was good, especially the beef rib. The andouille sausage was good, but not very spicy. The beans were ok, but could use some more flavor and a bit of salt. The cauliflower was underdone and a bit bland. The brussel sprouts were good. The cole slaw was dry and had no dressing. The spicy margarita was ok, but for $9 is barely had much in it. It comes with a huge ice cube in a small glass, which means you barely get any booze for the money you pay. They do, however, have a great beer selection in both cans and on draught. The staff were nice, but some of them seemed like they didn't know what they were doing; they messed up our order a bit, but it wasn't that big a deal. In general, Hazy BBQ has some good food and they could do much better. I feel like it's BBQ for people who don't know BBQ.

I ordered pickup through doordash. I was supposed to have ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. Sadly, those items were missing from my order and I didn't know until I got home. I looked in the bag and saw two trays that had things wrapped in foil and didn't unwrap to check it before I left. I should have. If you order to go, check before you leave. I called and they said since it was to go through doordash they couldn't do anything. I got beans, mac and cheese, and potato salad as sides. I also got garlic bread that came with the meal. I had ordered extra but they also forgot that, which is too bad because it was one of the best things I tried. I believe the meat I received was brisket and tri tip. Both were just ok. The tri tip was better, but had too much fat. The brisket had no flavor, but was tender. The beans were not what I'd call bbq baked beans. It was more like chili. Not my style , so I wouldn't order them again. The Mac and cheese was very basic. It was an ok side. Not much flavor and lacked cheese, but was creamy and noodles had good texture. The potato salad was pretty bland and lacked texture. I wouldn't choose that side again either. I did receive a side of coleslaw and I don't know if it was an accident or it was supposed to be paired with the pulled pork that they forgot, but it was very good. It was vinegar dressing of some sort and very acidic. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. I'd definitely order it. The garlic bread was great. Best side. I also got carrot cake. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. Overall, I was disappointed because I didn't get what I ordered in regard to the meat. Customer service was lacking a bit. They could have at least offered me to come back another day to pick up the missing items. Also, when I walked in to pick up my order through the door that is marked pick up, everyone just looked at me at first. No greet, and no one at the host stand on that side. I'll go to a different area or dine in if I ever go back. It's in a nice area and seems family friendly. It had both indoor and outdoor dining and was really modern. Parking lot tends to stay full, but there is also other parking available nearby.

First time ever ordering from here her great things about here only took my order, missing basically everything from the sides to the extra burger. I literally paid almost $100 to only receive just meat . I see very, very disappointed will never try this place again
