The restaurant feels almost like a hole in the wall. The atmosphere feels very authentic, and very peaceful. The staff are amazing, and have always been so polite to my family and I. I have seen staff members immediately go to hold the door open for those who use canes or wheelchairs. Over the times I’ve been there, I had many of their items, and all of them are great. My favorite item is the Gnocchi with Gorgonzola. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely an underrated gem, and I’d completely recommend it.

First time, wanted some Italian food before catching a movie, found this place got to say it was a great find in Martinez. Ordered the special Creamy spinach and artichoke Alfredo pasta with shrimp and the Rigatoni Pasta, both 10 out of 10. Recommend this place if you want a simple and delicious Italian restaurant with great service and great ambiance, next time I’ll sit by the window to get a good view of Main St.

Our son just got back from Italy and stated that his Spaghetti Di Mare was sublime and what people would wait a lengthy time for in Trastevere. Very good! All homemade and fresh.

Nice Authentic Italian flavors. Had the pasta and clams. The Italian pinot grigio, and chardonnay were very drinkable. Service was friendly. 2/3 empty at lunch. Will return and hope it doesn't change.

It wasn't very busy and service was really good. The garlic bread appetizer and rigatoni were both good. The Gelato was so a good choice for desert. I got the pistachio Gelato.

It wasn't very busy and service was really good. The garlic bread appetizer and rigatoni were both good. The Gelato was so a good choice for desert. I got the pistachio Gelato.

Overall good food, however they were not the best at understanding some minor alteration requests. Everything tasted good, and the portions were decent sized.

A cute little Italian restaurant in Martinez. Very basic menu. I had the lasagna . It was ok. Nothing terrible but definitely not worth the almost 20$ pricetag. My husband had a chicken parmigiana and again nothing special. It wasn't terrible just not really great. The gatlic bread appetizer was a bit disappointing. 4 tiny pieces of garlic bread toasted. No dipping sauce barely enough to share between the 3 of us. Our friend liked the ravioli he had. The service could use some work. I was handed my plate and warned it was hot? They werent busy but didnt refill our water even though they could see it was empty. I didnt even get a chance to ask for more. We werent asked how our diner was , also didnt even come back to the table after until well after the meal was done. All the small things that can make your experience a better one. Didn't make for a nice dining experience out and I wouldnt waste my money here again.

Hard to understand the great reviews. The food was mostly disappointing. I ordered a medium rare rib-eye and got a very thin, fatty, gristly piece of over cooked meat. My husband's pasta dish was under seasoned. The salad and sides were fine. Very limited wine list of mediocre wines. The service was fine, but we had a difficult time communicating with our server.

Worst experience I’ve had in years. Lady working there is completely rude. She hung up on me twice. Takes over an hour to get food once orders with over half the tables empty. Food was hardly edible. Online it said 20 minutes when I placed my order. I suggest they change that to an hour and a half. I would avoid this restaurant.

The waitress at this restaurant, her name is Elsa, is Hispanic. Mchildren went to eat with the babysitter and when she saw that they were Hispanic, she discriminated against them so much and she threw their sodas at them and spoke badly to my children. My children's babysitter had money to pay, it wasn't for her to treat them badly and discriminately.

My wife and I craved some Italian food, we found Florence restaurant on-line, we had never been there, but loved the quint little town of Martinez, my wife grew up their. We jumped in our car and with high expectations drove to Martinez, found the restaurant and were seated, alas no waitress to take our order after some time, another customer came in and stood next to our table, the one and only waitress came over and told them they were short staffed and the wait would be long, we were never told this, so we told the waitress we were leaving due what I'd overheard, she just said "fine" in such a tone that we will not being EVER going to Florence restaurant again. This was a very disappointing experience to say the least.

The pasta was tasteless with water down pasta sauce, the sea food was rubbery and tasted like it was sitting there for days before given to me, definitely was not cooked with my dish, it had none of the dish flavor in it. I honestly could make this same dish at home way better than what they served me. Listen, I don't write bad reviews often and I'm not sorry to have to write one here because my stomach is not feeling well after eating at this place. Furthermore, I love downtown Martinez and I love supporting local businesses and restaurants but I will not be coming back here again.

I’m a big fan of supporting local business and this Italian restaurant invented to be in my list and be great! But sadly it disappointed me so fast, let’s say as fast as waking a block away with bad heartburn and stomach ache!!! I finished my food just because I was hungry, not because it was great! ( Also pricy food did t want waste) My pasta was warm but sauce was cold it was not juicy nor tasted unique. Very dry. My husband seafood pasta was cold, and very tasteless. Fast forward 4 hours later after use of pepto soda and water still having stomach ache.

7/27/25 Racist and Discriminatory! I walked into the Florence restaurant and headed toward the back to wash my hands and use the restroom. I was immediately stopped by a woman, apparently the cashier, who blocked access and told me it was not a public restroom. I responded politely, letting her know that I intended to make a purchase. She replied that I needed to buy something first before I could use the restroom. I said okay. However, when she proceeded to take my order, her tone was condescending and rude. As I reached for my card to pay, she threatened me saying the restroom better be clean or she would call the police. I was completely stunned. I told her I wouldn’t spend a dime there and walked out. Not to mention, I’ve never even been to this restaurant before! I was so mad I wrote this review before I even drive off.
