The food is so good. Home-made tortillas, Menudo every day, and cozy atmosphere. They also have a nicely shared outdoor seating area.
The customer service is AWESOME and the food is consistently delicious. I try to eat at La Primavera once a week, I'm hooked on their grilled shrimp. Generous portions of deliciousness! The wonderful people who work there always know my order and take great care of me.
I go here at least once each year when I visit my friends in Concord. Absolutely love their menu items. Have had each entree item on menu at least once, and always satisfied. Good place to go if you are really hungry. This is true Mexican food, different from the Tex-Mex I have back home in Texas. Go here once, and you'll be hooked for life. 😀👍
I love this place! Good food, plain and simple. Traditional Mexican dishes with good old world recipes. A few newer spins like the Burrito California (I ate for lunch) that has french fries in it. Very tasty!
I got togo and the food was delicious. I ordered the shrimp garlic plate. It came with rice, beans and tortillas of my choice. I recommend this plate! I also ordered a large horchata and it was so refreshing! My friend ordered the chorizo breakfast and they enjoyed every bite! I’ll definitely be back to order other items on the menu. Thank you for a delicious meal :)
One of the nicest restaurants I've been to for a while with reasonable prices and cool air. The quality of the food is outstanding in the service is very nice, I had chili Rihanna's they were delicious as if I was on the other side of the border
I've tried most of the local (to Martinez) Mexican restaurants, and La Primavera is by far the best food at a great value! There is an authentic feeling to the restaurant - brightly painted, a little-too-loud music, the hum of food coolers, a view into the kitchen, but as for great food, you will not be disappointed. And the service is very good, and there is free parking.
Most excellent food!! Prices are great too! Staff is so courteous and pleasant. It is authentic food from Jalisco. So glad we stopped here. Couldn’t have been more pleased.
Chicken enchilada dinner plate was delicious.
We drive by here all the time and decided to give it a whirl. Delicious! I had enchiladas, a cheese and a chili Verde, and they were wonderful! My gf had cheese and Carne asada and they were terrific! Great price, too.
Super friendly service. Great food, reasonable prices. We'll go back. My husband enjoyed his chicken burrito. I couldn't finish my SMALL bowl of Pozole...so I have dinner too.
We love this Mexican restaurant. The service is pretty hit or miss; DON'T sit in the back if you want to be noticed and taken care of. But the food makes up for it tenfold with great prices, amazing chips and salsa, and delicious food. At the end of the day, this places is MUCH better than that "other" Mexican restaurant on Main St.
Glad i stumbled onto this place. WOW! the food is killer, bar is nice and the Service was ontop of things and fast. Chips are hot salsa is cold! Chile verde was very good lots of meat. the enchiladas had great flavor and the place is setup for a good time for adults and minors.
4/26/16 I've enjoyed food from the lunch truck before, but today was my first experience dining inside the restaurant. I was lunching alone so I sat at the bar. I was immediately greeted and given a clean menu and a choice of mild or hot salsa to go with my chips. Hot, please! The chips and my water came at the same time, and I ordered a crunchy shrimp taco, a soft taco with grilled fish, and a side salad. The salad was delicious. A little Italian dressing drizzled over lettuce, garbanzo beans, and a beet and more. Chips were light and crispy and the hot salsa was spicy and delicious. And the best part, my two tacos were outstanding. The grilled fish was seasoned very well (the soft corn tortilla fell apart but was also fresh and tasty). The shrimp taco had a crispy shell that also broke into pieces, but the yummy shrimp were cooked perfectly and had lots of lettuce and cheese on top. I was also offered more spicy salsa without asking - it was so good! Service was great and my tacos were delicious (and lunch only totaled about $10). Definitely will be back!
This restaurant in truly a gem! My giant family came in an hour before close and was quickly served with delicious homemade food. From the fantastic service to the fresh corn tortillas to the stunning murals, everything was done with the utmost care! We will definitely be coming back!
Coming here for years and the food is fresh and top notch. Cleanest restaurant I have ever been too. Our family love it also
Love this place! You can call this a hidden gem, a good mom and pop Mexican food place, or a hole in the wall place. But whatever you call it, just know they have very good Mexican food here. I've been coming here for a while now. I've tried almost everything on their menu and so far they haven't disappointed.
Food is always good and the servers give great service. This is the only Mexican restaurant I go to in the martinez area
Great food and atmosphere. The service is always welcoming my family and I right away. They are a very family friendly restaurant with really great quality food. Can never go wrong with anything on their menu here.
This place is a hidden gem. It was our first time there. We tried the “El Famoso” burrito. And it was delicious! The best burritos we’ve ever had. Very flavorful and the perfect balance of meat , rice and beans. Ordered one with grilled chicken and one with carne asada. It’s a very generous portion too! It was a Sunday before noon, and it was already pretty full inside . They serve breakfast too. A casual dining atmosphere. We asked to eat outside ( a tented area) because we had our dog (dogs allowed outside)…and was pleasantly surprised that they come out to serve you. The service was great. The music was also a nice touch. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. And reorder the burritos!!
Delicious food and good price. We got a grilled fish taco, and it was delicious. Home-made tortilla. Famous super burrito was also delicious.
I'm reviewing the taco truck! It's good!!! The chips come with beans to dip and all plates are wrapped neatly in plastic. Super juicy meat and tacos are 1.75 on Mon and Tues evening
I ordered the (#19) Chimichanga with the carnitas meat. It came with rice and beans that were great portions. The Chimichanga was delicious. It was deep fried and browned evenly.
French fry burrito! What else can you ask for in life?
I absolutely love this restaurant. They have the BEST carnitas around. Great service, excellent food, and a very nice atmosphere for a date night dinner. I also love their asada plate as well as their tortas. If you want a great Mexican dinner in Martinez, this is your place!!
I've been going to this restaurant for several years and the food is consistently good. The service very friendly. A side of homemade corn tortillas are a must try.
Excellent Food at a Good Price: We wanted to stop somewhere new for dinner and La Primavera had shady parking with indoor/outdoor seating. Outside tables were full, so we went in and WOW! The walls and ceiling were a continuous mural of the town of La Primavera, Mexico by a real artist. Pollo con arroz was our selection and it was wonderful. Atmosphere, staff & food were great and portions generous with many menu selections including all day breakfasts, combination plates and entrees with a choice of sides. Definitely going back!!!
The menudo was on point as we're the home made tortillas.
Amazing and super friendly staff that treat you like family, delicious food, as always, and the 2 buckets of 12 Coronitas weren't bad either!

They are just wonderful. Been going to the food truck parked at Ace Hardware for years, so it was nice stepping into the restaurant after so many years passing by (sometimes chickening out if I'm already at the bend in the road)going into downtown Martinez. Was feeling a little under the weather, so my food choice was easy for me today. I had the beef with veggies soup. Large with warm flour tortillas. It was SO good, I forgot to take a picture first. It was really good!! The place is cozy, friendly and festively splashed with bright colors throughout.
La Primavera Restaurant in Martinez is such a charming find. The space itself is quaint and welcoming, with beautiful wall murals that add so much character—only rivaled by how beautiful (and delicious) the food is. We both ordered enchiladas, and they did not disappoint. The sauce was absolutely delicious, rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. A lovely spot all around—we will definitely be back!
Best spicy chicken soup. Fresh tortillas. Great service.

Great lunch specials. Good portions. Delicious! Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Good service. They serve wine and beer. Excellent service. We'll eat there again.
Food was delicious, LA Primavera has several servers, this last time we really got a server who did not care to her job, ignored us from the start, we asked for water & a young man brought it , finally she gave us the menus, we waited about 15 min to order ,she came to take our order and seemed annoyed when I asked if the guac had jalapeños in it, a yes or no answer is sufficient, she rolled her eyes and said if you dont like spicy you should eat at home, our food came out , not once did she stop by to ask if we needed anything else, we finished eating and she just stood at the cash register in the main dining room working on some paper, We waited about 20 min for the check, which I had to get up and go ask her. She gave it to me , and I paid right there and then. I don't think she likes to serve a table for 2 persons, maybe the tip is a factor, I am a true believer that if you go out to eat, you have to tip and we are good tippers, most of the time 20 -25% , sometimes a bit more as some servers are absolutely nice and amazing. We all have off days, but it does not give anyone the right to be rude , her comments and eye rolling where out of the ordinary. I will definitely not go back for a while and if we do I will make sure she is NOT our server!
Great neighborhood mexican restaurant. Lots of regulars and locals. Friendly and quick service. Lunch specials are around 15.00. Good food. Not the best, but very decent. The service and friendly atmosphere are their strengths.
We ordered for a group of 15 people for a retreat. Each with different tastes and dietary needs and La Primavera managed to satisfy everybody with their delectable offerings. I was greeted by hardworking and congenial staff who had my order ready at the prearranged time. The portions were very reasonable in terms of price.
I enjoyed my meal: seafood taco, seafood enchilada with rice and beans. I didn't need a to-go bag because I didn't leave anything but the plate. The staff is friendly and attentive. A nice dinner on a Friday night. I give them an A+.
A local gem. Good food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful.

9;00am there for breakfast yesterday. Weather cold outside and they had AC and fans blasting. I shivered the whole time and glad to leave with my friend after breakfast.
Nothing fancy, but clean and authentic. Interesting design especially with the painted sky ceiling. Overall a little bit outdated, however, serves the need. Service had some hiccups waiting for final bill and checking on the customers. Ordered taco salads represents the stars of this review - flat taste of all the ingredients. The shell was the only thing that stood out. Price wise is very affordable and can be recommended if you don’t wanna spend over $10 for lunch.

It's fine. Don't understand the high ratings. Food was bland. Salsa would have made a big difference, but our waitress didn't check on us after our food arrived. Was looking for a great Mexican restaurant near our new home, but we will have to keep looking.

My friends brought me here, they love it. I thought the ceviche was good, but was disappointed with the enchiladas. They didn't have that bold flavor I was looking for, as in most enchiladas. I'll give it another try, ordering something different. They offer mole, maybe I'll try that next.
The second time I've been to this place this month. I'm not coming back man. Their food is great but the I waited so long for someone to just take my order the first time I went here this month. The second time my order was taken fairly quickly. But it was damn near 20 minutes later that I got my food. I'm just gonna hit up the truck
We went for dinner on a thursday night and seated in the nice outside seating area in the parking lot. The place was not very crowded, we were maybe the 4th table dining in. Still it took them a while to get the drink orders and serve some chips and salsa. It took them even more to come get our entree orders. Actually we had to signal to call them to give our orders. We tried the nachos, birria de chivo, enchiladas and carne asada taco. Once we were able to place our orders we didnt have to wait too long for the food though. That was nice. However the nachos were soft and soggy, guacamole on the top was almost like made from powder, something was missing.. The sauce of birria tasted only like tomatoes. Even though it says its made with their special sauce, I couldnt taste any spices. It was a bunch of boney, fatty goat meat swimming in tomato sauce. It is server with refried beans and rice. Rice was good, refried beans were subpar. Finally the meat in enchiladas and taco was so gamey, we couldnt finish any of them. Also at the end, we had another episode of waiting for the bill. After waiting for 10 minutes in a restaurant with few tables, we had to go get the bill and pay so we can leave.. The price though was very affordable (except the bottle of sprite which was more expensive than canned coke) but I do not think we will try this Mexican restaurant again.
Took my daughter's and granddaughter to celebrate her tournament. We ordered 5 dishes between us and 4 out of 5 were not good. Dry meat sauce smelled funny and food very bland. Chips and salsa where good

The California burrito was the most flavorless, bland burrito I've ever had. The fries had no seasoning at all, not even salt and pepper it seemed. No cheese, or so little that I didn't see or taste any. Other items on the menu MIGHT be better, but this was terrible.
Ordered a carne asada super burrito, the meat had a lot of gristle, rice was bland, and the tortilla seemed like it sat out with hard crusty edges. Overall the food sucks even their salsa is bland, a little salt would go a long way. Not to mention $1 extra for carne asada.
I asked for flautes and I was made taquitos when I asked the ladies if these were taquitos she told me no her flautes were made with corn tortillas not flour so I asked what the taquitos were then she said there the same just smaller..
