A charming, romantic courtyard setting plating amazing pastas. Perfectly executed, fine recipes. And the lemon “dessert” - wow 🤩!! Such a fitting end to a great meal - well worth the visit.

We were intrigued by the location of Chiodo and intended to have just a drink. But the atmosphere is that of a much loved coffee house with devoted staff and charming little touches like marble squares to rest the silverware on and unique glassware. The menu enticed us (local, flavorful, authentic) and we ordered a delicious lunch and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back the following day.

As my wife and I were navigating to a highly touted bakery in Syracuse, I peered into a lovely courtyard that stopped me in my tracks. We saw a little cafe that was so inviting we had to change our plans. So glad we did. Chiodo looks like the setting of a "meet cute" in an outstanding rom com. And the food and service match the atmosphere. We wound up spending 2.5 hours there! And by the way, an artisan jewelery maker has a beautiful shop in the same courtyard.

Great restaurant in the center of Ortigia! The limited menu choices are well thought out and include meat, fish and vegetarian options all locally sourced. The food is not only delicious but is also beautifully presented from starters to desserts. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service.

PERFECT! The size portion for the price is PERFECT tentatives by two ladies, PERFECT The ambience has excellent furniture and music, PERFECT! The owner, the chef, and the staff all sync well to demonstrate their good taste and hospitality! I'm in love with the cup they used to serve the espresso! Elegant in tiny size! I will come back one day!

A particularly pleasant place in the heart of Ortigia. Creative homemade cuisine that is genuinely good. Smiles greet you both at lunch and dinner. A small oasis of tranquility, good taste, and professional, friendly service. Here, you can never go wrong. The menu is short (a good sign), and the wine and cocktail lists are carefully curated and honest. We love it.

Stumbled upon this place by accident, was initially attracted by its serene hidden greenery. Inside there's a very calm and authentic atmosphere with some lovely jazz music playing. They have a great selection of drinks and the food is very progressive and experimental, it was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend anyone to come. They even had gluten free bread!

Absolutely love this place! We came back 3 times during our holiday because the food was so good. The vibes are immaculate, the staff speak good English which was very helpful for tourists like us and everyone is so friendly and welcoming! One of our favourite parts of our honeymoon was eating and spending time in Chiodo. Thank you so much ✨️💗

Chiodo is a very nice restaurant, and Siracusa itself is a charming city. Service was quick, which we appreciated. Personally, I found it a bit expensive for what it is. The coteletta was delicious and huge – definitely the highlight. On the other hand, the pasta with squid was a bit bland for my taste, and the peach salad was quite simple, though still tasty. The cannoli looked amazing, but we were too full to try them. In the end, they also add some extras to the bill. Good for a one-time visit, but that’s it.
