In un posto incantevole al fresco sulle alture di Masone, ottimo cibo casalingo, buonissimi i taglierini al ragù di cinghiale 🐗, il vitello tonnato con insalata 🥗 fresca e pomodori, croccanti patatine e ottima crema catalana, eravamo già stati, siamo tornati e torneremo, di fronte un enorme prato dove abbiamo riposato al fresco col frinire delle cicale e voli di farfalle. Super consigliato!
Vera trattoria nell’ entroterra di Masone. Situata in una piccola frazione di poche case ed una chiesa. Sempre piacevolmente ventilato in quanto trovarsi in cima ad una serie di colline. Sala interna con bancone bar, seconda saletta interna, sala al 1’ piano ed ampio dehors al piano terra. Piatti della tradizione ligure nel rispetto delle antiche ricette; materie prime di qualità. Conduzione familiare. Cortesia e disponibilità. Parcheggio comodo. Da provare. Meglio prenotare. Aperto solo a pranzo; chiusura lunedì.
Tutto veramente buono coniglio alla ligure sublime gentilezza e cortesia ai massimi livelli ...pensate che abbiamo ordinato il coniglio e ne avevano solo mezza porzione e c'è sta offerta veramente un gesto molto apprezzato consigliatissimo per chi vuole mangiare la tipica cucina ligure di trattoria prezzi giusti

Seguendo il consiglio di un amico già loro cliente, ho preso i loro ravioli al ragù di carne e devo dire che aveva pienamente ragione a decantare la bontà di questa specialità! Personale gentile e accogliente, ambiente familiare, cucina semplice e tradizionale, ma veramente buona. Questo posto è già finito nella mia agenda personale dedicata ai posti di ristoro "speciali"! È consigliata la prenotazione, perché ne vale la pena 😜
Si trova accanto alla Cappelletta di Masone e ciò lo rende un posto perfetto come punto di arrivo o partenza per una passeggiata. Oltretutto difronte ci sono delle invitanti panchine e un bel prato dove fare una pennichella. Il piatto di salumi e formaggi dell'antipasto è nella norma, ma i ravioli con i funghi e con il ragù erano da 10! Non so come possano essere i secondi piatti perché eravamo tutti strapieni. I prezzi sono nella norma: 12-13€ i primi e poco di più per i secondi. Il vino parte da 12€ a bottiglia in su (decisamente onesto). La strada che sale da Masone è particolarmente stretta, quindi attenzione. Unico lato negativo degno di nota è il bagno in cima ad una scala stretta che sarebbe irraggiungibile per un disabile.
Ottima trattoria, Pesto e Ravioli strepitosi, buonissima la Cima il Coniglio alla Ligure ed anche i dolci, il tutto ad un prezzo più che onesto, consigliatissimo. Meglio prenotare sopratutto sabato e domenica.
Discovered by chance while passing through Masone at lunchtime. Excellent service, and the lady was very friendly. The ravioli are spectacular, as is everything else. When we travel, we always plan to be in Masone at lunchtime and stop here. Highly recommended.
Try to book and get there quickly.... Starting next week it will be closed for a while to reopen in March. I'm from Genoa, I love food, and I can assure you that the minestrone I ate was spectacular. A panna cotta covered in an almost moving zabaglione sauce. The panna cotta was delicious even without the cream..... It means that even a simple dessert that you can find in any restaurant, if it's quality, can remain in your memory. .....And the coffee too.....yes, even the coffee!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I'm missing photos of the appetizer and first courses, but I was really hungry, and the sight of the ravioli with hare and wild boar sauce distracted me, but I assure you, they were superb. The same goes for the main courses: veal with tuna sauce and venison with chestnuts, excellent. In short, everything was superb. The staff were friendly and professional. A top rating! We'll definitely be back! Thank you!
A family-run trattoria immersed in nature, unlike any other these days. Delicious dishes, local produce, homemade pasta and sauces, and generous portions. It's worth getting off the highway for a moment and stopping in this quiet corner. Seeing is believing!
A lunch with my wife, I asked for two, after specifying that my wife is pregnant, the lady very kindly had us sit upstairs near the bathroom, very kind. I had bresaola with arugula and parmesan, I've never tasted such tasty and good bresaola. My wife had ravioli with hare sauce which, seeing as there were so many other diners, ravioli are a must. It was a hit, fantastic ravioli, I tried them too. The veal with tuna sauce was fantastic, tender with a fantastic sauce. To finish, an affogato. Price 44, everything perfect. There's no need to rush.
First time, and wow! Huge portions, fair prices! Ambiance and home cooking. Mountain atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

A homey trattoria right next to the Cappelletta di Masone. The ravioli with wild boar sauce were truly excellent. For main courses, we ordered a braised beef in Barbera wine and a stewed wild boar dish. For both, we didn't even need a knife, as the meat was so tender. With a half-liter carafe of house wine, a small bottle of water, a bottle of chips, and two coffees, we spent €33 each. A quiet spot with a tree-shaded lawn in front, or a good starting point for a hike to Forte Geremia.
I had lunch with four other people in the quaint trattoria. Cute place, very crowded, which is already a guarantee before lunch. Simple menu, but includes many traditional Ligurian dishes. The food is well-prepared and in very generous portions! A good balance of flavors and aromas. Quick and very courteous service, despite the busy place. Very friendly atmosphere. Very clean restrooms, perfect, despite the crowds. Excellent! Final price in line with expectations, good value. We'll be back. Thanks to our waiter, a friendly and efficient girl. I recommend booking well in advance. We'll be back.

Last minute reservation, no problem. Access to restaurant a bit tricky, very narrow roads so keep that in mind. Food is good here. Simple, but very good. Also very reasonable prices. Price quality ratio is excellent. Panna Cotta - simply one of the best I ever had!

Trattoria trovata con breve deviazione percorrendo la strada del Faiallo. Menù feriale a 13 euro composto da primo, secondo con contorno e da bere con scelta scritta su lavagna, che accontenta per discreta qualità e generose porzioni. Punto strategico per una pausa lungo il bel tragitto panoramico della strada del Faiallo, dopo il Turchino.
Buona trattoria di campagna piatti genuini e casalinghi. Servizio molto accurato, per un pranzo completo servono 40 €.

Here we are, sharing our experience at Trattoria Lo Scoiattolo (Via della Cappelletta 42, 16010 Masone (GE). On November 2nd, we met with friends for a trip through the hills of the Genoese hinterland: a rainy day, fog enveloping everything, a diffused light that gave the landscape a muffled and silent atmosphere. Arriving at the trattoria, located in a quiet corner, we were greeted kindly and immediately set out to find refuge from the rain and humidity in a rustic, simple yet comfortable setting. The trattoria presents itself as a genuine local restaurant, known for its home-style cooking, based on local ingredients, and surrounded by greenery. It's the type of trattoria appreciated for its simplicity and authenticity, far from ostentation, perfect for those who enjoy a no-frills but tasteful lunch. The braised beef in Barbera was truly the highlight of the day: tender meat, rich and flavorful sauce, perfect and Abundant. Ravioli and lasagna: the sauce was excellent, really, but personally I would have preferred them tossed in the sauce instead of served "with the sauce on top." The result was still good, but that detail made the difference for me. The portions were all generous. The persimmon dessert: a pleasant ending to the meal, with that sweetness that rounded out the courses perfectly. The service: friendly and unpretentious, ideal for a group of friends who want to spend time together, chat, and enjoy the time. We were hoping to find mushrooms, fresh or otherwise... whether fried or otherwise prepared, but unfortunately they were no longer available. For those of us who love seeking out local mushroom dishes, it was a small disappointment. Despite the rain and fog, lunch at Trattoria Lo Scoiattolo was a moment of pleasure shared with friends. A welcoming atmosphere, honest cuisine, and well-defined flavors. If you're in the area or fancy a trip to the Ligurian hinterland, it's worth it. The only "but" It's about managing expectations — if you're going with the idea of eating fresh mushrooms, it's best to call ahead.
I had the ragu ravioli and it was incredibly delicious. The climb up was beautiful and the surrounding scenery was worth seeing.
Couple's lunch. After a walk in nature we stopped for lunch for the first time in this little restaurant, we found it on maps, saw the reviews and photos and trusted it! What can I say, we made the right choice!!! Typical local restaurant, familiar and simple atmosphere. Easy to reach, convenient for parking, very popular! I recommend it and honestly I would go back! We ate a first course and a second course with side dish, a 1lt water and we spent 30 euros for two. Correct price considering the location, the quality and type of dishes.
