Great service and solid food! Staff constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything and kept bringing rolls to our tables which was great! Are so quick I didn't even get a proper pic of my dish so excuse me if it looks rough. It was the portabello mushroom smothered chicken with a baked potatoes and a Cesar salad. Will be back!

Texas Roadhouse has been the most amazing place we've visited in McAllen! The atmosphere is unbeatable, the service is top-notch, and the food… absolutely the best we've had in town. The Dallas Filet and the Porterhouse were beyond delicious — incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Every bite was a wow moment. If you're in McAllen and want a fantastic dining experience, this is the place to go. 100% recommended!

Great food , great service , great waiter ! Our waiter was great she was exactly what we needed and kept our drinks coming. The music is super loud. It is hard to talk over it. The food was delicious. AC super, super cold. You will need a jacket. Restaurant staff inside the restroom, using their phone and putting on makeup and not letting you wash your hands.

Absolutely loved our experience today! I’ve been to Road House countless times but today’s service was exceptional! We had a wonderful gentleman named Pete help us out today and he went above and beyond to make us comfortable and gave us plenty of delicious options to open our palate! He let us know they offered Fried mushrooms at this specific location and they were to die for! He introduced me to their blackberry tea which was also amazing and a delicious steak dip. I deeply enjoyed my experience and hope he’ll be our server again soon! Thanks! YOU were amazing! 🤩

Shockingly good dinner, reasonably priced. Potato skins were great. Try the pork chop...delicious and marinated to stay moist. I wasn't expecting much but this was terrific!

Texas Roadhouse knows exactly what it is, and it doesn’t try to be anything else. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s unapologetically Texan. First thing you notice? The peanuts. Free. On the table. No ceremony. Just crack, eat, repeat. It sets the tone right away. Service is fast. Not “we’ll check on you in 20 minutes” fast. Actually fast. They move with purpose. And paying is ridiculously easy because they put that little payment device right on your table. You can split the bill, tip, and close out in under a minute without waiting for anyone. More restaurants need to copy that system. The steaks come out cooked properly. If you order medium, you get medium. Imagine that. Juicy, well-seasoned, consistent. Not dry, not guessing. Sides are solid too. Loaded baked potatoes, seasoned rice, fresh veggies. They don’t feel like an afterthought. And yes, if you’re ordering tacos or anything that needs it, add the crema. Trust me. It elevates the whole thing. What really sells it is the atmosphere. The boots-on-the-ground, country music, wood-and-iron décor. They give you that full Texas vibe without being cheesy about it. Arrived upon opening at 3pm. Area outside had alot of trash and cig buttons. Bad smell on side of building. Great wait staff and friendly hostess. Our server did an excellent job. Ordered prime rib for one entree and it was stringy and tough. Other entree was chicken tenders and it was really good.

Always very yummy, super nice waiters. I did come by today and got a medium rare steak but it came out super rare. i brought it up to the server and she got it back on the grill. it came back absolutely grey, i just gave up lol. Im not one for confrontation, the manager damian came to check on us about the steak and i let him know it was good (it wasnt but i got nervous). Everyone was super nice but i was too nervous to say it came out super well done lol. other than that everything else was delicious!

Bread rolls are amazing, best bread i’ve ever had. i ordered a dallas filet and it was good, but i asked for a medium and they cooked it little too much and it came out medium well, still a decent steak tho. rice was good. prices are pretty good for what you get.

This is the second time I've gone through this experience. I ordered a medium sirloin. Yes it's medium and tender, yes it has a steak flavor but the texture was almost a hamburger steak. Crumbly and thin. I love steak and i just couldn't enjoy it.

As I was finishing my meal near the bar, I overheard a female manager speaking harshly to an employee around 4pm yesterday , instructing her to clock out even though the young woman appeared to be working and cleaning. The situation was uncomfortable to witness and affected my overall dining experience. I work in the food industry myself, and I’ve seen how much a positive and respectful environment contributes to great teamwork and service. I truly hope this establishment fosters a more professional and supportive atmosphere for its staff in the future. Food was great.

We are frequently at this restaurant and generally enjoy it greatly. However today was an exception. It had been about 5 weeks since our last visit which wasn't good but anyone can have an off day- that day the Herb crusted chicken was very dry. Today we were looking forward to our usual favorites but it appears that some things have changed at this restaurant. First they have had the 5 slot spaces to stand while waiting to be seated. #1 is the next to go as you would expect but today they had you stand in reverse order - #1 was the closest to the door. We were #1 and had people who came in behind us have to walk between us and the seating organizer adding to the congestion. Then when our table was ready, we had to wade through the 4 other parties waiting to be seated. What the heck? All visits prior we would move to the spot closest to the dining room and out of the congestion. We were seated but had to wait about 8 min before a server greeted us. He almost seemed distracted but did get the order correctly. A different server brought the salads and a third person brought the food. No one checked on us to see how things were until we were on the last couple of bites. This is not at all typical of this restaurant. We have always felt very valued as customers and I don't recall a time where the manager didn't come around to check how things were until today. My chicken was moist and tender but my husband had the Road Kill which is a chopped beef steak. It was overcooked and had a char or crust to it that was tough and unappealing to him. He ordered it with the mushrooms, onions and gravy but there were no mushrooms at all. This just isn't what we have ever expected from this restaurant but that is two consequtive visits that were far from their normally stellar food and service. I hope we don't have "strike 3".

The food is ok. The service isn't bad, wait time is a little too long. The loudness of the Birthday singing and clapping is ridiculous, and I'm mostly deaf from military service. This is the reason I will never come back. You can't even have a conversation at your own table.

The food took about 30 minutes to arrive, which I understood since it was a busy afternoon, so the wait itself wasn’t an issue. The problem was the quality of the meal. I ordered my steak medium, but it arrived tough and well-done. By that point I was already hungry and didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement, so I went ahead and ate it. Additionally, the butter had a long hair in it, so I set it aside and stopped using it altogether. The sides were also cold. The service staff were friendly and clearly doing their best despite the rush, but for a steakhouse, the overall experience really missed the mark.

i really love eating at this place but me and my wife always notice the kitchen staff not wearing hair nets or beard nets we see waiters going in and out of the kitchen playing with their hair inside the kitchen area and today 2 persons of my party of 8 had 2 hairs on their plates my wife had a small black hair and my cousin a long girl hair dint mind the first beard hair cuz it happens it’s a normal thing but a second hair on a different plate that he had to pull out of his mouth was the last straw kitchen manager was very respectful and replaced one of the plates but as reserved people we dont like to complain and keep kitchen staff giving us new plates especially when the wait time is a hour plus and more people are trying to have dinner with their families as a recommendation we would love to see hairnets & beardnets more often!!

I just think quality of food for the price is not great. Boneless wings are basically the cheapest battered chicken nasty taste compared to a wingstop. Potatoes are stiff and cheese feels plasticky. The only good thing was the bread!!!
