Never had Uyghur cuisine before, and I'm sorry I waited this long. Absolutely delicious. Ordered the samsas appetizer (one chicken, one beef). Flaky, buttery pastry goodness wrapped around well seasoned meats. For my entree I went with the lagham noodles and they did not disappoint. The noodles were so good, I would eat a bowl of them alone. Great flavorful dish. Definitely will come back here every time I'm in town on business.

Taste: 5 stars! Service: 5 stars! Atmosphere: 5 stars! Gosh Naan was fresh and crispy with minced beef in it. Portion was a bit small though. The best part of Stir Fried Noodles was Beef. Overall, the Noodles were delicious. Again, the portion could have been bigger. Orange Chicken was scrumptious with right amount of sauce and just-right taste. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food. Would like to come back and try other food items.

Great authentic Uyghur cuisine. Food are nice in huge portion. Love the milk tea and the yogurt. They are short staffed, especially during busy dining hours so don’t expect quick and adequate service. Other than that, it’s a great place for friends and family!

Mrs Khan Uyghur Cuisine in Menlo Park is fantastic! The restaurant is beautiful and cozy. We loved the Spicy Lamb feet, slow cook lamb with Lamb Soup, Stir-Fried Lamb Noodles, bbq Lamb Skewers, and Oreo Raisin Yogurt. Everything was delicious, and we can't wait to go back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Honey, let me tell you about Mrs. Khan's Uyghur Cuisine - it is SERVING Central Asian realness like you wouldn't believe! 💅✨ Listen up, queens - this place is the tea! ☕ The Uyghur naan? ICONIC. It's giving freshly baked fantasy with a sprinkle of seeds on top that's making my wig secure and my edges snatched. The hand-pulled laghman noodles? Work, mama, WORK! They're chewy, they're bouncy, they're everything a noodle should be and more! That shredded potato stir fry is spilling all the tea with its perfectly crisp texture - miss thing knows how to werk those wok skills! And don't even get me started on the chicken korma, because baby, that sauce is so rich it could buy and sell all of us! The portion sizes? Generous like my padding, honey! The authenticity? Ten, ten, TEN across the board! Mrs. Khan isn't just running a restaurant, she's running a culinary EMPIRE, and I am LIVING for it! Trust and believe, this is where you need to be, darling. Now sashay your way over there and get your life! Category is: Central Asian Culinary Excellence, and Mrs. Khan's is serving WINNER WINNER UYGHUR DINNER! 💃🏾✨👑 *tongue pop* And that's the tea, hunty! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first experience enjoying Uyghur cuisine was delightful. It's rare to find authentic Uyghur cuisine. I arrived a few minutes after opening on a Thursday. It was empty so I had the opportunity to take detailed pictures without restrictions. The menu is simple and straightforward. Alzar was a great host/server. He introduced me to his favorite dishes and I was not disappointed. The flavor was very good. If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend applying their homemade chili sauce. They make the sauce available at every table for you to apply because the food by default is generally not spicy, except for one or two dishes. The Uyghur milk tea (Atgan Chai) tastes mild (salty) and is presented well. I had the Laghman as a main and honey cake for dessert. The atmosphere is relaxed with a TV playing pop culture Uyghur music videos.

The picture shows the before and after of the “Hand pulled stir fried noodle”. We finished it so quickly because we LOVED the noodles, they are so flavorful, smoky, rich in spices, and hearty! The owner is wonderful and we had the most heartwarming conversation with her and her husband. They are truly such kind people with a deep passion for sharing Uyghur food and we highly recommend this place for everyone, whether it’s your first time trying Uyghur food or not!

We stopped in for a late lunch to cap a morning of errands and were well rewarded. We ordered the Naan (delicious!) and the stir fried noodles (fantastic!). Both ample sharable portions. Our server was kind and attentive and the restaurant space is quite comfortable. Highly recommended for a hearty lunch in downtown Menlo Park.

Absolute joy, massive explosion of flavours in one's mouth. Wonderful and much needed addition to downtown Menlo. Gosh Naan and Soupy noodle bowl were my favourite dishes- 10/10. They are fairly new, so please be patient and kind.

Super delicious Uyghur food. Warning! it's spicy. The noodles are thick and handmade. Very rich. Food dishes are HUGE. To be shared with two or three people. Super nice staff. Some complain the menu is short and the staff is disorganized: that's how restaurants are in Sichuan, Tibet, and Xinjiang! The chaos is authentic :-) we loved the place and will go again.

We ordered the Hand-pulled Laghman which was very good! Noodles were fresh, veggies and meat were tender, and the sauce was very flavorful. As an appetizer, we ordered the Gosh Naan, which was a pleasant surprise. There was less meat in it than expected, but the meat was very juicy. In terms of service, it was a little bit slower than some other places. However, definitely still recommend stopping by, food was delicious!

This restaurant showed up when I searched for restaurants that offer vegan food. I don't recommend it if that's your diet. I had basically a vegetable dish to choose and pasta that was originally made with meat. I chose the pasta (I was hungry after a 4 hr hike). They brought me a plate with meat on it. They said that their cook (who speaks Spanish) didn't understand the order "no meat". Then they brought me a new one without meat. The flavor was good, however it was just pasta with sauce on it (I was charged for the version with meat). My friend ate a dish with meat, and she said that it was good.

The food was generally tasty, but I would not recommend the “Samsa”. They probably make it beforehand and then freeze it to re-cook, but it was not baked well and was very icy inside.

One of the last remaining places that serve authentic Uyghur Cuisine. We enjoyed the food here, make sure you ask how spicy it is and how big the servings are. Most plates can be shared. I love how they serve the tea in lovely china. Reservations can only be made via Yelp. I did not want to establish an account with them so i chose to call the restaurant. Please be prepared that if they have a busy night, no one will answer the phone. The good thing is, they DO call back! So I was able to make reservations for lunch the following day. Some items were unavailable due to their busy night the day before, but what we got were good.

We had high expectations due to the nice environment and vibe, and the waiters look like Uyghurs. But the food was ordinary. The only dish I'd recommend is the Lamb screwer, which is juicy, tender and also not cheap :)

The environment is perfect here to make you so comfortable and clean. We try Polov, Stir beef noodle, Laghman, Big plate chicken with noodles, and fruit tea. Polov tastes good, it will be better if the lamp is more fresh. It’s a little bit dry. Big plate chicken with noodle is spicy, but I love it. While the noodle is too soft and not chewy at all. Stir beef noodle is with too much pepper and salty, otherwise it will be a great dish. The noodle in Laghman is also too soft. The service here is nice.

Was excited to see uyghur food in Melo Park. Wait time to be seated was around 1 hour and 20 minutes. I wish the food was as good as the wait time. Okay taste, not wow what you expect the price you pay. I hope they get more staff. The taste doesn't go with the price. If I were to pay the premium price, the taste should be premium but unfortunately, it wasn't.

I’m from a region where this food is part of everyday life, so I deliberately ordered lagman and plov because I know exactly how they should taste. As you can tell from my 2/5 rating, they didn’t come close - especially the plov, which was far off. On top of that, the price felt too high for what you get. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. And my friend who accompanied me, had exactly the same thought. Super disappointing.

They're ok! Food was decent, restaurant layout and decor felt odd, service was friendly but food came out real slow, prices are on the expensive end. Got the chuchura and I wouldn't recommend it. The dumplings are pretty tasty, but the bits of meat and peppers in the soup made for a confusing dining experience. Once I had finished the dumplings, I was just eating chopped meat and peppers by themselves. I feel like this would have been excellent reduced down and served over a bowl of rice. The soup was just tomato stock. All-in-all, bit of a miss for me, the spicy noodle dish actually looked pretty tasty, but it was huge! I think this place is more suitable for groups, definitely not worth it if you're solo dining.

I really hoped the food would be better as it would be so nice to have a good Uyghur restaurant in the Bay Area. I've always loved Uyghur food and I went to Xinjiang in China specifically because I loved their food. Unfortunately this restaurant doesn't taste even close to what I expected. In fact the small Uyghur restaurants in any medium or large cities in China taste better. I feel maybe this restaurant is trying to cater to everyone and a result it caters to no one. Let's talk about lamb first as lamb kebob is often what introduced most Chinese to Uyghur food but there are two major problems. First there is no fat but lamb kebob needs fat to bring out the flavor of the lean meat portion of the kebab so now you ended up with flavorless chunk of meat. The second problem is that there is no flavoring. The spice is out on the side but that's a no no as spices needs to be grilled on the meat to flavor the meat. It's not meant as pepper that's added after grilling. As I said when you cater to everyone you cater to no one. The menu has may dishes that look almost Indian food but they are not the same as the naan is much thicker and they don't taste as fresh as what I had in other Uyghur restaurants and once again very bland. The pearl noodle is like macaroni without the holes in the middle and in Xinjiang we call it Ding Ding and it's probably the best of the lot and it's not saying much. The meat with the pearl noodles is not tender and the flavoring for the noodle has too much tomatoes so almost tastes like spaghetti. Lastly we also the grilled gluten which is a typical Northern Chinese street food and it's grilled too much without the chewiness of typical grilled gluten. So overall, I cannot recommend this place at all even though I really hoped for a good Uyghur restaurant. The service is so so but the place itself is cool as the tables are huge even for the "smaller" tables and it almost has a Turkish Moroccan vibe to the place.
