I live in Mérida and this one of my favorite places to go to have great food, excellent service, and above all a really good time! The atmosphere is trendy and warm, with lots of entertainment! Great music (with a video DJ) and live "shows" of mariachi, dancing, and of course embarrassing people on their birthday with singing and clapping and funny hats! My best friend and I spent hours here last weekend with our patient and fun waiters Alberto and Juan and our experience was truly delightful. We will be back again soon, por supuesto! Gracias!

So far....great classy...trendy...great atmosphere The food was arrived...the best sex I had with my pants on!!!! Do visit it! It’s so worth it ! This is great food and great service with a bit of theatre thrown in. We had a great night but in our opinion the music and big screen TVs are not necessary and ruined the ambiance. It’s like a high class restaurant mixed with a cheesy nightclub. Keep the music, but change the genre and lower the volume. We literally couldn’t hear ourselves talking and it was only 7:30 pm. Please get rid of the TV screens too, they are like cell phones at the table, a rude distraction. Other than that everything was fantastic.

Most things Muy rico, delicious! My plate was not what I expected but if you like goat sour cream on your meat then you will like this dish. Good atmosphere for a girls night out or a date. Be aware, this place has very loud but good music. The only disappointment was the wait time for our dessert, it took approximately 45+ min to get it. Other than that it was good.

Too loud music, we couldn’t hear us talking. The waitress was arrogant. The food was average and too spicy despite trying to make a show to prepare the food next to you at your table. They didn’t even have the flan on the dessert menu. It is really expensive for what it is. Won’t recommend that place.

I know ceviche is supposed to be “cooked” in citrus but the salmon ceviche was so undercooked it was slimy. It also had a sauce that just didn’t go well with me.

Come here for the drinks and good atmosphere but I would skip on the full dinner here. Extremely salty and not fulfilling for the price. Presentation is good though but I’m here to eat. Prices are high so I feel that the value is not there. Maybe good for client meetings and date night. Drinks are good and service is good.

Went there for an early dinner with no reservation and had to wait about 5 minutes for the table to be ready. Background music was at the right volume this time around allowing to have a conversation without the need to scream at each other. The complementary botanas and salsas were pretty good. Ordered the crispy calamari and they were fresh and tasted very well.The mezcal based cocktails were ok. The 2 letdowns of the evening: one was the fish a la veracruzana since the sauce was very hot and the fish itself was very cold - not mixing very well and the other the attitude of one of the servers when i left the tip on the CC that apparently was not to his satisfaction; he did not even say thanks or good bye. A reminder: tips are not mandatory and are earned based on quality of service provided. I don’t think I will return to this Porfirio’s anytime soon based on the amount of other quality restaurants around that offer a better value for the same money spent here. They are lucky to get 3 stars.

I received my food order via Uber Eats and I’m very disappointed with the packaging and presentation. The container’s closure flaps were not secure and the order was delivered with the food exposed. The food was not presented well, although I considered the food being delivered by motorcycle. The delivery person was apologetic but insisted the food was handed to him that way. However, the driver should have insisted the food container be secured since he’s responsible for delivery. Not a very good first impression.
