I enjoyed my dinner party, with friends, quaint spot, street parking with meters until 6pm, after it's FREE! I started with Seafood fried rice, (no mussels) as you see shrimp were large! Very flavorful, with every bite. The place was well lit, tables were kinda tight. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. My entree was a build a boil. I had snow crab and shrimp, the shrimp were medium in size, but everything was well coated and flavorful with butter garlic sauce. I also tried the shrimp tacos, these were excellent with large shrimp, so good! Give this place a try. The menu has a nice variety.
Went here with some family (7 people) on a Friday night. They were very nice to us even with only about a 30 minute call ahead asking for a reservation. The server even asked if it was any of our birthdays. Coincidentally, it was actually my birthday and we were there celebrating it but didn’t bring any desserts and I was full so I didn’t want to order anything. When we told him it was my birthday, he offered a free dessert and they played birthday music. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. My family can be very annoying especially being a server myself I know this so I really appreciate it when servers are so understanding of a chaotic family with some very talkative people. We will definitely be back. The restaurant was beautiful as well and the music was great and the dessert was soooooo good!
Nauti Cajun Crab is a GEM in the town of Metuchen!! The Food, Service & Atmosphere was absolutely Awesome!! And I will be back!! KAT our Service Expert was absolutely lovely, kind, and attentive. KAT made sure my Sister & I had a great experience!! Thank U KAT!! 😊 MISHA
Extremely clean and modern design. They even have a few hanging chairs outside and inside. Wings are among the crispiest I ever had. Beautiful crunch and moist meat with perfect flavor, had the soy garlic spicy. Boil was very good, you do pay a little bit for each side like corn, potatoes, etc... But its a very small cost. Had King Crab and Scallops with Garlic Butter and Cajun seasoning with medium. I should have gone up one level to hot. Scallops were cooked perfectly, you can mess those up easily. King crab was nice thick and meaty. They have scissors which gets them an A+ in my book. Corn was a bit small, but tasted fresh. Potatoes were cooked just right. The Garlic noodles are a must to get up that extra sauce and oil. The flavor on them is great by itself. Definitely recommend. Service was friendly, kind, knew the menu, treated everyone including kids with respect and good humor.
We had a late lunch there today and it was a great experience. Our family hasn't been out to a true seafood place for a while and this was a great way to get back into it. We got the seafood festival, garlic noodles, crab rolls, seafood fried rice, and some dessert. Everything hit the spot, especially the crab rolls and the garlic noodles! Our server, Kyler, was very accommodating and open to suggest the seafood fried rice (which we loved) and other things to us. It was a great experience and I can't wait to come back!
Went here for lunch on a Sunday for my birthday. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious and very filling. We started with the calamari and garlic butter wings-yummy!! Then on to the King Crab legs. At first I thought 1lb wasn’t going to be enough as it was two huge claws, oh boy was I wrong. They were sooo big and delicious. I was stuffed. I had it with the nauti sauce. My husband had the raw oysters, which were very fresh and good. They surprised me with a brownie cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was very good. Our server was PK. He was great and very attentive. This place is definitely on to try
Great place ! Love the vibes here . Service was awesome . Shout out to our server Aylissa ! I started off with the sweet chilli wings but they were honestly mid at best . They looked pretty lame and barely had any sauce on them . The sauce itself seemed water and barely had any flavor at all . They were trash honestly . But we’ll leave that alone and judge mainly on the seafood itself . The seafood boil itself was DELICIOUS ! A1 meal ! We ordered the big catch . It comes with crab leg cluster , lobster tail and 2 corn and 2 potato’s . They give you the choice to add on 2 more seafoods of your choice like shrimp , crawfish etc . I don’t like potato’s so I got more corn and sausage . I got the medium spiced Cajun flavor and it was so good had a little kick but not overpowering . Definitely recommend coming here . Great restaurant !
Came to Nauti Cajun Crab with my sister and dad for a dad daughter lunch date. The vibe of the restaurant was definitely chill. Since the restaurant wasn’t too busy at the time, we got to pick where we wanted to sit. For our starters, we got the crab fries. The fries were nice and hot and they were delicious. I definitely suggest the crab fries. My dad got himself a clam chowder and he seemed to enjoy that. For my entrée, I got the salad with a crabcake. I definitely enjoyed my meal and the salad was refreshing and the crab cake was good. My dad got the crab cake shrimp and broccoli. Let me just say we all cleared our plate and enjoyed our meal. I also recall my father getting me their crab cake sandwich once before, and that was also really good.
Came here on a Saturday around 5:30 with my family for dinner. I ordered the seafood rice entree (spicy), and the shrimp tacos- excellent choice! The seafood rice is a must try. My husband had the shrimp noodle entree (tasty, hearty and filling), my teenage son had the blackened catfish with rice and broccoli (was ok but bland) and my toddler son had the fries and tenders- as always he was very happy. Parking was very easy. Service was great and it’s BYOB which was lovely. Prices are reasonable and the decor is inviting and pretty. Will visit again!
The seafood was fresh and delicious, and the portions were great for the price. The waitress Marisol was very kind and attentive. I’ll definitely come back!
I love it here so much, all the food is amazing and the staff are very kind and welcoming! gavin was my server twice and he was lovely both times. definitely come here if you're a seafood lover like me! bonus points for the 2010s music videos on their projector :)
Food was soooo good. Portions/combos are perfect. That’s one thing that I noticed about this place, the crab legs are huge!! No skinny twig legs here. The atmosphere was so pretty. A 10/10 restaurant. the only complaint is that our waiter barely checked on us. As in, he only came once towards the end of our meal. If a manager didn’t stop by to ask if we’re okay, we would’ve never gotten our rice :/ maybe he was new? Regardless, i definitely would come back here.
Came here for my birthday and my experience was amazing! My boyfriend did some research about finding the best seafood boil place in the north NJ area and this was HIGHLY RATED The sealovers boil was more than enough for TWO people. It comes with two drinks, an appetizer and plenty of seafood to fill you up and take home. The service was top notch. Our server, Gavin, was absolutely amazing. Great energy and consistency with us. Made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us the perfect amount of times. For my birthday he offered us dessert and the apple caramel cheesecake was 10/10. Overall would highly rate this place for any seafood boil lovers. Not only for the best bang for your buck, but the hospitality was nothing but amazing!!
Stumbled upon this delicious place on a whim. We had the crab fries and created our own seafood boil with snow and dungeness crab, scallops, shrimp, sausage, potato, corn and broccoli. We also had a side of garlic noodles. It was all very yummy and highly seasoned food. The nauti Cajun cooked medium had a delightful kick. Make sure to dip in the seasoned butter at the bottom - it's too good to waste!!
This past Saturday, my husband and I, along with two of our friends, enjoyed a delightful dinner at Nauti. We had made a reservation, so we were able to skip the wait for a table – which was a nice bonus! The ladies at the front desk greeted us with such warmth and friendliness. After trying out several seafood boil spots, I can confidently say that Nauti is the best! The food was super fresh and bursting with flavor. Plus, it’s BYOB, so we brought some wine to pair with our seafood feast. Our waiter, Javier, was just wonderful—so pleasant and attentive. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here to anyone looking for a fantastic seafood meal!
Gavin knows what's up!! Excellent service. Very attentive and kind. We had calamari, blue point oysters, fried shrimp, crab fries, seafood boil, blackened catfish, King Salmon... yummy 😋🤤
I took my friend out for a late birthday dinner. I have never eaten here before. This was my first time. But i was thoroughly impressed by the food. I would recommend this seafood place to everyone. The service was great, all the staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back!
Everything was delicious {Evette & Jazmyn} we will be back. We both had the seafood boil, shared the seafood fried rice and the garlic noodles. Our server Gavin was GREAT!!!!
Love this place! Seafood is fresh and tasty and the music is a vibe not loud or distracting. Our server Richard was so great, super attentive and even brought me a dessert to sing me happy birthday. Perfect date spot 11/10 made my birthday memorable
I love it here and will come back. Great atmosphere. Great food. Very courteous employees.
Food was amazing, lobster tail was delicious and service was exceptional. Our waiter Javier was the best. Constantly attentive, friendly, and nice.
One word: PHENOMENAL!! The crab, the shrimp tacos...the RICHARD! What excellent customer service from him. I've never seen anything like it! Everything came perfect and we left with our tummies and hearts very full ❤️. Definitely coming back again !!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unmatched Seafood Experience at Nauti Cajun Crab! If you’re looking for the best seafood in town, look no further—Nauti Cajun Crab is truly in a league of its own. I’ve tried just about every seafood spot in the area, and nothing comes close to the rich, perfectly balanced flavors they serve here. The seasoning is always on point—bold, flavorful, and perfectly cooked in a way that keeps me coming back again and again. Honestly, it’s one of my recent addictions haha! The ambience at Nauti Cajun Crab is just as impressive as the food. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, inviting vibes, cozy lighting, and a playlist that sets the perfect tone—comforting and groovy in all the right ways. And let’s talk about the staff—they’re the heart of this place. Every single team member is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. There’s a real sense of familiarity here, where the team makes you feel seen, welcomed, and valued every single time. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a whole vibe. I find myself coming back so often that it’s practically become a habit. A delicious, satisfying, soulful habit. Highly recommend Nauti Cajun Crab!
We often come here for special occasions. Our parents love this place. The food is always consistent and the service is always good. My go to is the salmon with sweet chili. The fried rice is always good too.
This was my first time at Nauti Crab in Metuchen for my birthday. The place looks very nice inside and clean as well. We were seated in the swinging bamboo seats by the window which was a cool experience. The staff was amazing, very friendly and had great customer service. I've tried a few seafood boil restaurants and this is one of the best places. I ordered dessert the "Seafood Lovers" dish with garlic butter which was really good and the portion size was healthy. Use can also BYOB. Also, the music was selection was good. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to coming back with family and friends. I highly recommend Nauti Crab.
The best seafood ever ! I mean ever !!❤️Fresh flavor , the service is amazing!
Loved the seafood boil here! Absolutely delicious. 0 complaints. You have to try this place! In our seafood boil we got lobster tails, shrimp, corn, and potatoes with rice and rolls on the side. It was excellent. They precut the lobster tails for you so you can just pull the meat out of the shell pretty easily. And they provide you with a bib, plastic gloves, and wet wipes.
I came last week with my family and we got the sea festival. The food was amazing and the service as well! Our server was Ariana and she was very nice and sweet with my family. I would definitely come back again.
Delicious seafood, excellent dessert and truly superb service from Gavin. You'll leave full. Be prepared to make a lil mess with the boil though.
My best friend and I went here for dinner and our servers name was Gavin, he was an amazing server! The food and atmosphere was great as well. Highly recommend!
Food was really good and service was really good. Our waiter Richard was exceptional. He packed up our food for us. Came in with a group of 4 and everyone was satisfied.
Phenomenal food and excellent service! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and our server Gavin made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend Nauticrab—ask for Gavin!
We found this place on google and it was amazing! The service was even more impeccable. Richard was our server and he was so kind and hospitable. He also helped us order with sense! lol it was a really great experience. Thank you!
This is an amazing seafood boil restaurant. Perfect for Date Nights, Birthdays or just dinner. The prices are so reasonable. The waiter that we usually request is outstanding. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is great. And their homemade lemonade is so delicious. I usually do reviews for good and bad places. But this is hands down the best seafood restaurant. Better than Capt Loui. We usually order the SeaLovers combo. Comes with two big shrimp tacos, two homemade lemonades, one dinginess cluster one snow cluster 1pound shrimp and one pound black mussels. For $95. Plus we get an extra snow cluster add on sausage for $135. You can’t beat that price and or service anywhere else.
My family and I always come here for either lunch or dinner. Our waiter Richard always takes care of us, he is very attentive and patient. If you are looking for a calm setting with seafood, this is the place to go!
A most enjoyable lunch yesterday at Nauti Crab. I love seafood, I can easily cook most seafood myself. However, I just recently learned of the expanded menu at Nauti Crab, so I stopped by. PEI Mussels, PEI Oysters… they were great. I added a simple salad with shrimp at the end…. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and very tasty… they were obviously nicely brined to maintain texture and flavor. Next week, I will go back to try their New Zealand Green Mussels… I have never had them before. Oh, also very important: the service was great! My server was Ariana. The atmosphere was perfect for me, very clean, simple but easy on the eyes. I even enjoyed the music selection for lunch. Enjoy!
Another great dinner at Nauti Crab. Ordered the seafood lovers meal for my mother and I, which was delicious and had great quality seafood. Love that the shrimp is head-off AND deveined. And exceptional, friendly service from our server Javier!
I’ve been here at least 5 times and each time did not disappoint. I’ve tried seafood boils at other spots thinking I would get the same quality food but that was not the case. This place is the best seafood boil around. Also, my kids love the lemonade and garlic noodles.
Nauti Cajun Crab in Metuchen is a seafood lover’s paradise. My husband and I shared the two person pot, added an andouille sausage with the garlic butter sauce. Wow! It was messy and not very date friendly but it was mighty tasty. We also had the chargrilled oysters, that was decent ( nothing compares to the ones from Acme in Nola tho) the wings were cooked to perfection and super juicy. We chose the honey buffalo sauce. I wish I had those for superbowl!! Everyone got a bib and gloves because it does get messy. All in all it was great. I’m definitely going back. The service was slightly on the slower side, but it was a busy Saturday night. The owner/manager was super nice.
My family and I stopped here for a quick lunch. The atmosphere was quaint and cute with a hint of music to set the vibes. The service was fast and attentive. We started off with the crab fries which came out hot and delicious. Then for our main, my sister and I got the jumbo crabcake with a side salad and our dad got the jumbo crabcake with steamed vegetables. We all agree that the crabcakes were well-made without all the extra breaded feelings just simply crab.
Wonderful ambience, great service, good portions. Only reason why I gave a 4 on the food was because I had expected the crab cake to be lumpy, however it was kind of dense, not my favorite item from what we ordered. The crab fries were delicious. The calamari was tender and the fried rice was good too. The garlic noodles were very flavorful and garlicky
Nauti, Nauti, Nauti. Not a single complaint. Ever. The food delivers bold, consistent flavor every time. While the presentation isn’t the most visually appealing, the taste more than makes up for it, and the efficient service keeps everything moving seamlessly.
I visited on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my sister's BEarthday. We waited approx 15min for a table. The staff was kind and courteous, the food was delicious and was served hot. You can also bring your own wine/cocktails which is definitely a savings off the check. The parking can be a bit of a challenge... but I will definitely return for another visit.
Had reservations and still waited one hour to sit. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because the manager tried to make it up to us and served us himself. He was very sweet! I just think the staff isn't really familiar with how to sit large crowds because they were using 4 person tables for 2 people therefore wasting a lot of space. Food was delicious. It is a little loud in there and there is only one restroom each for women and men. Prices are extremely reasonable. Very casual atmosphere.
Tried this place today and I must say I was underwhelmed. My daughter and husband got there and were seated 6 minutes later with reservations. So that process moved rather quickly. The drinks were received and the lemonade tasted like water, sugar and a splash of lemon. The crabs fries were great no complaints there but when the main course came out it was disappointing. The crab cluster didn't have all of the legs and was skimpy, the dipping sauce and corn on the cobb were just ok, and the garlic noodles were disgusting. Needless to say this establishment will not be visited again. It was a huge disappointment and overpriced.
I waited for a long time to get here….last week I finally got the chance to go and let me say I was very disappointed in my dish. We were the first dine in customers there (hint) I was craving red snapper so I ordered the deep fried red snapper it was $45 for the dish. I think I really paid for the oil in the deep fryer because it was no way worth that amount of money. My fish was very overcooked and under seasoned I mean no flavor at all to the fish the rice was typical bland white rice. I did bring it to my servers attention and he brought me some s/p 🙄 Now, I stalked their IG page for quite some time and I see how a lot of content creators visited this place and it “seemed” pretty hyped up and food be looking very good….so why when I go I didn’t get the same out of it? Idk but this was the worse red snapper meal I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty so I’ll definitely stick to where I know is good from now on bc this here made me mad and usually I don’t leave any left behind but this was trash oh the calamari was good whatever they use on that should be used on the snapper. My son ordered a seafood boil with a side of garlic noodles he also disliked his meal it had no flavor (not pictured) The only good thing it’s byob so thankfully I didn’t have to pay for any drinks. Just my experience ****update: Thanks for taking the time to review video and receipts**** The food was not good my sons ate it bc we were hungry we will stick to Red juicy crab hook and reel for seafood boils and I will stick to where I know is good for my red snapper #1 Cuban Pete’s have some goodt snapper but we wish you well.
It was are first time there. Upon arrival there was no place to park and there was meter parking and you can only use credit card no coins. Walking into the place there were stairs so if you have a hard time with those, there’s just a couple the place inside was very clean good music. It was a good atmosphere. There is a gentleman that had sat us down and he said his name was Ryan then we had two other people that came to our table that was servers that took our orders After we had ordered our food and we started receiving it we had a problem and there was nobody around to help us. We actually had to get up out of our chair and go get the person that we found to help us so he told us that he wasn’t the manager , but on the receipt, it says otherwise. So everything was good. The shrimp tacos were amazing. The garlic noodles were great. The oysters were fresh. The lemonade was out standing, but the food that we had ordered for the price and the amount wasn’t worth it at all. We got to see lovers , which works for $89 one cluster of snow crab, one cluster of Dungeness potato corn and you get a choice of clam shrimp muscle extra so there are extras that you could put in there. It cost a little bit more money eggs sausage, etc. so we had a little complain about her food and we had gotten the garlic and butter and we had got medium. When we received the food at the table and we started tasting it it was super hot and that was not no medium mild. That was really really hot and spicy and for people that eat spicy food we couldn’t even eat it so we asked him to take it back, and they took it back not just once not just twice three times at this point, we asked to speak to the manager and the man that said he wasn’t the manager came over and told us the guy that was serving. The table was the manager so there’s conflicting stories. There was no discount then they would not take the food off of our bill because we were just satisfied with it. So we took it home with us and we wind up throwing it away a waste of seafood for as much as we paid. I was expecting it to be a lot better because all the hype on the Internet, I just feel my personal opinion. It was not worth it. The service is not the greatest. I’m giving them a three out of five because they never came back to the table except for the man going to get them. They never check to see if we need refills on drinks , or if everything was OK atmosphere I gave a five and the place was very clean. other than that, I was very disappointed with the money that we had to spend for the food that we threw out without even any compensation that was very upsetting.
The food was good and service was too. I thought it was a bit pricey. I've gotten the same for half the price. I got a feast that serves 3-4 ppl for $250. The price was not on the menu. Honestly, it didn't have enough of the corn, sausage & potatoes. It had 4 small potatoes and 4 small corn. I was a little disappointed. With tip, paid $300.
Visited based on Google reviews, but found the menu misleading. Many listed items weren't available. Waiter explained they're working on updating the menu. Ordered noodles, shrimp, chicken wings, lobster and crab basket. Most dishes were okay, but the shrimp basket stood out. Loved the Nauti flavor sauce with shrimp and added rice on the side. Medium spice level was pretty hot for me, but I enjoy that kick occasionally. If you can handle heat, go for it! The misleading menu was disappointing, but the food (especially the shrimp) was decent. Worth trying once or twice if you're in the area and craving spicy seafood. Tip: Double-check item availability before ordering to avoid disappointment.
We went on 3/30 and the food was really good. We had the crab rolls, fries, calamari, seafood rice, a seafood boil and lemonade. The boil was average at best but the rest was really good. The lemonade was amazing. The wait is long without a reservation. We were able to get one at the last minute. The waitress charged my card for the full bill although there were CLEARLY two cards in there. We went back on 4/20 and ordered the same things except we didn’t get the boil and added the crab cake meal that came with broccoli and 3 steamed shrimp and also added fried shrimp. The crab cake was burnt and absolutely disgusting. Everything else was still good. We got the passionade and it was good but the lemonade is better. The waiter charged my friend’s card TWICE (for half of the bill each time). At this point the incompetence is too much to bare and we probably won’t be going back. When he took our orders he didn’t write it down and then came right back to go over it again and had it wrong. I wish servers would learn that we aren’t impressed with you memorizing orders. WRITE IT DOWN!! My friend made reservations and got there while I was parking. She was sat immediately and there weren’t a line of people waiting like there was the first time we went. The restaurant is nice enough but both times there were really loud parties so I took stars away from the “atmosphere” for that. But it’s BYOB so I guess drunk people are loud.
