Opinions de Arigatai Sushi Miami
Excellent service, and as for the sushi, I'm speechless! The Salmon & Tuna Delight was delicious, the best sushi I've ever had. Thank you for your service as always Natalia, this is definitely my favorite place to eat sushi.
The food was delicious and came out super fast! Gonzalo was awesome, really friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back! 🍣
Amazing Sushi and Great Service! I had a fantastic experience at Arigatai Sushi! The service was excellent—attentive but not intrusive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff checks in at just the right moments without constantly hovering. The food was on another level—high quality, incredibly fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything tasted amazing, but I highly recommend the Tuna Cracker, the Volcano Roll, and the Bans—each one was packed with flavor! The restaurant itself is a bit small, but the design is stylish and comfortable. The ambiance is great, with music at a reasonable volume, allowing for easy conversation. A small downside was that the restrooms weren’t very clean, but overall, the experience was excellent. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you get. One important note: they don’t automatically add an 18% tip to the bill, so be sure to tip generously! Highly recommend this spot!
Loved the place! Great service, food, and prices. We got there right before closing and still received amazing service, especially from Gonzalo. He gave us the best recommendation when we couldn’t decide on a dish. Definitely coming back!
The food came out quickly and tasted really good! Marcela was very attentive and made sure all your needs were met!
The food was really good! It was hard to choose from the menu but the server Leyla really helped with some recommendations! Overall a very good experience
Absolutely amazing! 🍣 Arigatai Sushi really impressed me. The Fried Rice was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned! I highly recommend ordering exactly what’s shown in my photos. The sushi was super fresh and delicious! The place is cozy and the service was excellent Rodrijo took great care of us, super kind and attentive. I would definitely come back!
I had such a great experience at Arigatai Sushi. From the moment we walked in, the staff and owner were incredibly kind and welcoming — you can really tell they care about the experience they’re creating. We started with the hamachi, which was beautifully balanced with truffle-ponzu, jalapeño, wakame, cucumber, carrots, masago, and just the right touch of heat. The spicy edamame with chili garlic sauce was addictive and came out hot and perfectly seasoned. For rolls, we ordered the Crunchy Joy (shrimp tempura, chopped crabstick, tempura flakes, topped with avocado, yellow chili sauce, and eel sauce), which had such a satisfying texture and flavor combo, and the spicy hamachi roll, which was fresh, flavorful, and well-executed without being overpowering. One of the surprises of the night was the salmon burger with fries — genuinely so good. The salmon patty was juicy, the avocado portion was generous, and the dressing tied everything together really nicely. We also tried their ramen, which is new to the menu, and it did not disappoint. The broth was deeply flavorful and comforting, with a soft-boiled egg, edamame, and mushrooms. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. We finished with the biscoff cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant itself is modern, clean, and inviting, with a lovely outdoor patio option as well. Overall, this place feels like a true neighborhood gem — great food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I’ll definitely be returning.
While the sushi was exceptional, our evening was unfortunately disrupted by two older women whose behavior was highly disrespectful. They were incessantly taking photos and filming videos, constantly capturing other guests in their shots, which created a highly disturbing and intrusive atmosphere. Their behavior ruined the evening for everyone in our vicinity by creating a restless and intrusive atmosphere that made it impossible to relax. The primary issue was their continuous filming and photography, which felt less like a meal and more like a disruptive production. These old women were so "into themselves" and their content that they completely ignored how uncomfortable they were making those around them, frequently catching other diners in the background of their videos. This constant movement and disregard for privacy felt highly disrespectful and out of place in such a high-quality establishment. The owner clearly cares deeply about guest satisfaction; she handled our complaint professionally and moved them to another table so we could finally enjoy our meal. However, management should ensure that guests who want to take "influencer-style" photos do so only when the restaurant is empty or in a way that doesn't infringe on others' privacy. Because of the owner’s excellent service and the quality of the food, I am giving 5 stars, but I hope they prioritize the dining experience over those who disregard the comfort of others. Furthermore, if these older careless women were invited by the restaurant to create content in exchange for free food, management must realize that allowing this type of behavior is extremely off-putting. Having "influencers" film so intrusively—especially when they show no regard for the privacy of paying customers—completely ruins the high-end ambiance. If the restaurant requires promotional content, it should be scheduled when the floor is empty or conducted in a private area to avoid disturbing the peace of other diners
Stopped by for a quick birthday lunch and was blown away by the exceptional food and service. My son loved the French fries and chicken skewers, while I had the crunchy tuna roll which was super fresh and delicious! Natalia made sure we felt at home and blessed us with complimentary moshi as a sweet birthday surprise! Will definitely be visiting again, we had such a lovely time.
This place has everything! We had the Crispy Sushi Crackers, Steamed Gyozas, Crazy Roll, Sweet Plantain Roll, and finished with the Biscoff cake… and wow. Everything was SO good. The flavors were on point and you can tell they really care about what they’re serving. The steamed gyozas? By far the best I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. The crispy sushi crackers were insaneee. So unique and so flavorful. The Crazy Roll was delicious and the Sweet Plantain Roll was such a good combo — sweet but balanced. And the Biscoff cake… OMG. I’m still thinking about it. But what really stood out was the service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The owner is such an amazing person and you can see how much she truly cares — about the food and about the customers. I watched how she interacted with other tables and it felt genuine. That kind of customer service is rare. The waitresses and all the staff in general are very considerated, friendly and hardworking. If you love sushi and good vibes, go. You won’t regret it.
One of the best sushi in Miami and best sushi in north Miami! Def recommend the arigato fuego roll, salmon tuna delight roll, and spicy hamachi tiradito! The owner Adri is so sweet. Loved the atmosphere!
Loved this spot! The atmosphere is cozy and stylish — from the interior to the dishes themselves, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. I ordered a roll topped with seaweed salad and salmon roe, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The miso soup was warm and comforting, and the seaweed salad was super refreshing. Service was friendly and the whole place has a relaxed vibe — perfect for a casual date or a quiet dinner. Definitely coming back!
Arigatai Sushi is truly a hidden gem and an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly set for an incredible dining experience. Carolina and Natalia’s service was nothing short of exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing time. She made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. And Alvis, the sushi chef, is a true artist. Every roll and dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, bold flavors. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite—this is sushi at its finest. Between the outstanding service, superb food, and wonderful ambiance, Arigatai Sushi exceeded all expectations. We’ll absolutely be back and will be recommending this place to everyone we know! 🍣
We came to this restaurant on a whim with a craving for sushi. It had great reviews and we absolutely agree! The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day with fresh flowers on every table. The wait staff was helpful. We ordered edamame and crispy tuna to start which were both very good. We got the Arigatai fuego which was truly one of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The wrap it in tinfoil and set it on fire and all the Smokey flavours culminate into a delicious and unique sushi experience. We also had the salmon & tuna delight and the sashimi roll and they were amazing. I loved that they had rice less sushi rolls filled with fresh fish and no useless tempura filler. Everything was divine!
Gonzalo was such an incredible waiter. He was patient with all our food restrictions, offered options and was very kind. Poke bowl was delicious!
Amazing!! the best place in the city. The sushi’s were incredible but the best was the attention. All the sushi’s were amazing and the prices are the best in Miami. Our waitresses Sherezade, Nathaly and Ricardo were extremely attentive and the sushi’s that they recommended were very good. The keto sushi was perfectly prepared as the other rolls. I recommend it as the best sushi in the town
I went to another sushi place really close to this one the other day and it was good for its concept but very traditional but greats and today I came to this restaurant called Arigatai and here is with the flavor is along with the quality and not to long of a waiting time for the food, they have a great staff but the one who has the spotlight for me is Natalie with her great level of service and knowledge on how much calories each food has, a question that I asked since I’m on my body transformation journey. I’ll be coming back for more you can’t come to the north Miami area without eating some sushi at this spot!!!
I had an excellent experience dining here thanks to the outstanding service provided by Gonzalo. He was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His warm attitude and attention to detail truly made the evening memorable. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Gonzalo’s exceptional service!
Casual clean atmosphere, friendly staff, great service (from Mairim),and between recommendations & some traditional dishes ordered, I say on my next visits I could be adding more stars. Let me also mention, the crew behind the line is up to their game, the presentation of dishes are clean, well balanced and put together with pride.
This was my first time coming here. The food was fresh and AMAZING!!! What impressed me the most was that I saw the owner serving everyone and running all over this place. This tells me everything. What a wonderful place. They won me over. I will be back.
Excellent variety of sushi with various appetizers and alternatives to choose from. John made our gathering special with attentive service for a bday gathering. Nice ambience as well
Great food from appetizers to rolls. Don’t miss the passion fruit pie (amazing). Amazing service and great atmosphere
Best japanese food I've eaten in a very long time. I am currently pregnant, so ordered a salmon teriyaki dish, it was delicious! The rest of the party had a variety of appetizers and sushi rolls recommended by the servers that looked absolutely delicious and they truly enjoy all of them. Service was amazing, super nice, super friendly and patient with kids :) I would definitely go back..
I came here yesterday for dinner with my family. Service was fast and efficient. Our waitress was very attentive and made some good recommendations for sushi rolls! We loved everything we ate. My dad and uncle got the seared tuna, which looked amazing. My aunt got the hamachi poke bowl, which she enjoyed. I shared some sushi rolls with my brother. I can’t wait to come here again when I visit my aunt in Florida!
The food was amazing and the service was great, our waitress Oscar was excellent Thank you Oscar
My wife and I came back to this specific sushi restaurant after trying it last year on our vacation to Miami from Wisconsin. I forget the name, but the sushi they light on fire is phenomenal, although they say not everyone is a fan of it. Also, our server Nathalie was super nice and personable.
From the first interaction to the final "Thank You" felt like a mix of flavors to the buds. Celebrating a birthday without knowing what the other person wants is a kind of puzzle. From the moment on I knew my friend wanted to eat sushi, I had a busy "one-hour-job" to decide for the right place, mainly when there are so many choices. Arigatai was the chosen one today. A simple phone call was enough to know I had picked the rightest restaurant. Adri, the owner, was kind, professional and her voice welcoming. Ambience was so inviting, waiters on top of every detail, food was fresh and well prepared. I could say more, but I'd rather let you go and find out by yourself what an AWESOME experience is.
Oscar was so nice and attentive. Will be back soon. Order the sunset roll and that sweet plantain. You won’t be disappointed
My husband and I come here as often as we can and every time we do, we are wowed by the amazing food and the amazing service! Carlos is our favorite waiter and he always has the most genuine, warm welcome for us. He remembers what we order, but he also remembers our kids and asks about them whenever we come by ourselves. As an avid restaurant lover, I know that you can have the most delicious food but if the service is terrible, you never want to return. I can honestly say that his service is an exceptional accompaniment to an exceptional menu. We love returning to visit Arigatai and highly recommend to anyone that they sit in Carlos’ section. You will be in the very best hands.
Arigatai is my go-to sushi spot in the neighborhood. The food is consistently excellent, whether dining in or ordering takeout. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the owner is always present, ensuring everything runs smoothly with great attention to detail. My staples are the Sunset Roll, Crunchy Tuna, and Salmon & Tuna Delights—always fresh and flavorful. The buns and gyozas are just as delicious. Wishing them continued success!
Had a great time at this Asian fusion spot! The poke was super fresh, and the gyoza was perfectly cooked—definitely a win. The mochi was on point too, so sweet and chewy. The restaurant itself has a lovely vibe, making it perfect for a relaxed meal. And big shoutout to our waiter, Wiseman, who made everything even better with his awesome service. Would definitely come back!
Arigatai is my favorite neighborhood sushi place. The food is outstandingly delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Staff is very attentive and nice and the owners are wonderful people. Every time I eat here I have an excellent culinary experience, love it! Oh and it’s kid friendly! The owners son is 8 years old and waits around tables, super cute! Highly recommend Arigatai!!
Delicious sushi and excellent service! The fish was fresh, the rolls were flavorful, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back
Sushi was really good! Loved the Alaska roll and the tuna delight. Gonzalo our server was amazing, super friendly & attentive! He made our experience worth while!
First time at this wonderful place! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. All personnel is working like a team and we appreciate all the efforts done for us to feel comfortable. Gigi did a great job, she is very professional, knowledgeable, kind. All team did a great job! Thanks!
Amazing spot for great sushi. Honestly best in Aventura/north Miami area. They take walk ins and have a lot of room. Prices are reasonable and proportions are massive. Recommend this place for a quick tasty eat, the restaurant is nice it’s more modern casual. Service is one of the highlights given their staff is extremely kind.
The food was fresh and delicious! Gonzalo recommended some amazing rolls and was incredibly kind to us thank you so much Gonzalo! I will definitely be coming back.
Since discovering this gem, I keep returning because of the incredible service and delicious food. Carolina was wonderful, from beginning to end she made sure we enjoyed the full dinning experience. 10/10
Absolutely loved this place! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Gonzalo was super attentive with us, excelent service, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. Highly recommend, we will come back for sure😊
Long time customer and it never disappoints. Sushi and fried rice were amazing today and service by Natalia was spot on. Wont regret trying this spot.
I am new in Miami and I decided to go to Arigatai by myself. The food was delicious and very nice presented. I highly recommend to try the hamachi tiradito and the spicy hamachi roll. The service from Jesus was exceptional. It’s been long time since I had such a good conversation and great service from a server. His recomendations was on point. Such a good energy. This place is going to be for sure my top choice for Japanese food. The atmosphere is amazing too. I didn’t feel I was eating by myself.
We ordered de Ale and salmon/tuna roll and miso soup. Everything was amazing. The ambiance is very pleasant and the service was amazing. Nathalie was very accommodating and the rest of the staff was very attentive and made us feel very welcomed. We will totally come back if we are in the area.
Dearest Arigatai (A poetic review) Ah, another sushi place I quietly said to myself. Expectation kept to a minimum because trash on a golden platter masters stealth. The location is well known, a burger place once sat here. Serving Brazilian entrées that impressed none, it is no longer there. Walking in the ambiance of simplicity invites a homy type feeling to form. Open yet closed kitchen with a friendly staff meant they were not of the norm. I ordered the usual, my Expectations were quite low from the moment i walk into that door. Because sushi sake, iron sushi and many more have served me Americanized trash before. Less than fifteen minute it was not to much of a wait, by the way simplicity is everywhere, if that is your thing. The servers were attentive as my guest who barely eat raw, finished it all as if he had no home training. Without a word said I tasted what was on my plate, SWOOSH AND SMACK that was when... i will let the five stars speak because an explosive orgasm hit my buds and......... Legacy Untitled
Fantastic food, service and location. We were assisted by Carolina and Gonzalo for lunch and it turned out so good that we went back for dessert later in the day for dessert. Service far exceeds expectations!! Please ask for Gonzalo and Carolina for the very best service 👏🏼
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience because of the quality, service and ambiance. I had the Tuna Tiradito, Edamame and Dragon Roll. One recommendation on the Tiradito is to request no sauce or liquid since it saturated the tuna and broken down the texture. But it was still good. Definitely would come back. Thanks
Great service, menu has a lot of options, mostly sushi of course but they also have main entrées as fish, fried rice, Chicken teriyaki….. We ordered a couple plates of rolls, bay roll was good, the other one not my favorite. Tuna explosion appetizer is really good is you like raw fish, this one has a lot of pepper. And the biscoff cake was really good too. Coming back, affordable prices, aprox 30-40$ per person.
Went to Arigatai for the first time this week (been living in Miami Shores for 20 yrs and didn’t know they were open). It was a wonderful culinary experience. The sweet plantain rolls were amazing as were the crunchy tuna crackers. The spicy tuna roll was the best I’ve ever had. Natalie our server was amazing and her suggestions were right on point all the way down to the wine. I highly recommend Arigatai.
I had an amazing experience at this Arigatai restaurant! Big part of that was thanks to Layla! She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and her friendly attitude really made the evening special. It’s rare to come across such genuine and thoughtful service.
This sushi place truly exceeded my expectations. The fish was incredibly fresh — you can tell they take real pride in the quality of every dish. Each bite had that clean, melt-in-your-mouth flavor that only top-grade sushi has. Our server, Julianna (Gigi), made the experience even better. She was absolutely exceptional — attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared that we were enjoying everything. On top of that, she’s such a beautiful young lady with an equally beautiful personality. Her warmth and professionalism made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who appreciates fresh sushi and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The service by Natalia was amazing her service was splendid. The food was super fresh and the portions were big enough to share. The salad and the sushi crunchy was too die for. Great experience overall
Five stars all the way! This place has excellent food service and it’s very simply and beautifully decorated to create a great atmosphere. The staff is efficient, stress free, they are comfortable and make you feel invited and welcome. We do hope enough people attend this restaurant in support of this great establishment, do it stays around for a very long time
Stopped by for lunch. Oscar helped us make selections. The tuna tiradito to start, a couple sushi rolls and lastly the ramen with chicken. Amazing flavor and great service.
I’ve been here multiple times and definitely it is one of my fav sushi restaurants! The food is amazing 100000/10 and the service and attention is phenomenal. Nathalie have been our waitress most of the times and she is super sweet and friendly, always recommend us the best! Highly recommended this place to all my family and friends
Leila was wonderfully delightful! Excellent service, very attentive & professional. The good was yummy!!!! The presentation was beautiful. The ambience was joyous. Pork belly boa buns were soooo good The rolls were delicious as well, the plantain on the plantain roll would be even better if the plantain were thicker/Cuban style Otherwise perfection They accommodated our preferences with ease and this made everything even better so good Can’t wait to come back
Really cute restaurant with nice decor. It’s gives a nice comfy feeling and the staff is really nice and attentive. As an avid sushi eater from NYC and have traveled to Japan, their sushi was only alright to me. Their chicken katsu buns were a little too crispy so the meat itself was very dry but it comes with a good amount of sauce and veggies. Their spicy edamame is good. If you don’t eat sushi a lot, this place is great.
We came in 45 minutes before close and having hospitality experience I was worried what the experience would be like. It was amazing! The food and service was great and this was a last minute date I planned for my wife and she was happy! We will be back.
Recently visited Sushi Arigatai and had a great experience! The interior is cozy, and the atmosphere is calm — perfect for both a casual hangout and a quiet dinner. The sushi was fresh, beautifully prepared, with the perfect balance of rice and fish. I especially loved the salmon rolls and some of the signature menu items — you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The staff was polite and attentive, and the service was fast. The prices match the quality. Highly recommend— definitely planning to come back!
We had such a great time here! The sushi was seriously amazing. Super fresh, full of flavor, and honestly some of the best we’ve had. Every roll was delicious and you can tell they really care about the quality. Marcela made the whole experience even better — she was so personable, friendly, and attentive, and made us feel really welcome from start to finish. She checked on us at the perfect times and made sure everything was perfect. We left so happy with both the food and the service and can’t wait to come back!
An excellent experience from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, warm, attentive, and truly thoughtful. Special thanks to Adriana for her genuine kindness and exceptional attention, which made our evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and beautifully set, making it perfect for both a relaxed dinner or a special occasion. The food was absolutely delicious, each dish is crafted with great care, beautiful presentation, and incredible attention to detail. The flavors are exquisite, well balanced, and clearly made with fresh, high quality ingredients. You can truly feel the passion for Japanese cuisine in every bite. Without a doubt, a place worth returning to and highly recommending. Arigatai Sushi delivers a complete experience, outstanding service, great ambiance, and exceptional food. Highly recommended!
If you’re looking for a new sushi spot, I highly recommend this place! My wife and I ordered 4 rolls + spicy edamame and all the rolls we ordered were absolutely delish! Highly recommend: Miami roll Sunset roll Ask for Oscar. Very attentive + fast.
Arigatai Sushi offers a truly lovely experience. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed warmly by the owner, which instantly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting—perfect for a relaxed night out. The food is absolutely delicious, and the drinks are refreshing and perfectly crafted. A wonderful spot I’ll definitely be coming back to!!
We are sushi lovers and we finally found a place that has excellent food and service. One of our favorite waiters is Marcela. She always welcomes you with a smile and recommends excellent dishes. Best sushi in the area😋
Excellent!!! It's always a pleasure to come here. The food is fresh and delicious... the service is excellent, especially John's, who is very helpful and friendly... I recommend it 100%.
100% recomendado. Sin duda volveremos
The food and the service were great. The only problem we had was allowing dogs in the restaurant. The dog would walk under our table and lock our legs. That was disgusting, considering so many diseases around and irresponsible owners.
Nice cozy romantic place located in a hidden corner in North Miami, Jean Carlos was busy for a Saturday evening but despite how busy it was he made sure we were okay. If you love sushi youre gonna love this place. The food was great, the atmosphere and the owner was very attentive. Dont stick to your traditional sushi try something out of your comfort zone; I know you wont be disappointed. Leave room for dessert.
Hello, The place is very cozy, and modern. We (4) all got our meals relatively quickly. One order being delayed slightly. Food is decent. Althought, I would expect a better experience considering the price. Our waitress went above and beyond. Asking us about our meals beforehand and confirming our order. Would recommend.
I'd consider this a modern Japanese. Appetizers and tea were great, fresh and delicious. The rolls we got were ordinary in the taste department, however, great presentations. The ambiance felt a bit cold -and I don't mean the temperature. Our server was great. Free parking as its in a shopping center.
I’ve been coming here since before the pandemic, and the food remains consistently great, as does the overall atmosphere. However, I’ve noticed a decline in the attentiveness of the current service staff compared to previous years. Servers are not checking orders thoroughly, and the service recovery for delivery issues (today) is quite weak. Even when dining in (yesterday), they don’t seem to be checking on tables as attentively as they should. This stood out to me as surprising, especially knowing how committed and hands-on the owner, Adriana, has always been. Her dedication to this restaurant has always been exceptional, which makes the recent changes in service quality all the more noticeable.
I had high hopes for this spot, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The tuna tartare had a fishy odor and taste, which was a clear sign it wasn’t very fresh. On the bright side, the edamame was great, and the wakame special was pretty good, though it could’ve used more salmon pieces. The biggest disappointment was the sushi rolls. The truffle kani roll was advertised as 10 pieces but came with only 8. It lacked flavor, was dry, and completely fell apart when picked up. The crab salad inside was bland and didn’t add much to the roll. The Miami roll, supposedly a signature item, felt like a basic shrimp crunch roll—nothing special. Again, the crab salad on top was dry, had an odd taste, and didn’t work well with the roll. On a positive note, the service was good, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to make up for the disappointing food. I try a new sushi spot every week, and this one just isn’t a place I’d return to.
A very underwhelming experience as far as sushi restaurants are concerned. Very poor presentation with some of the rolls & the sashimi. I ordered a crunchy tuna roll as it was one of the only rolls without cream cheese, it was drenched in sweet chili sauce… it was so bad I sent it back. The whole experience was very mediocre. I was warned not to go but the 4.8 star rating made me want to give it a chance… don’t be like me
The restaurant hours are until 11 pm. We arrived at 10:33 pm. One server told us rudely they were closing in 10 minutes. We still sat down and said we would order within 5 minutes. The second server arrived and proceeded to repeat at least 5 times that they were closing the kitchen. I asked in English (she only spoke Spanish) if she would like us to leave. She proceeded to tell us that she has been at work for 12 hours and repeated the kitchen is closing. We finally did not feel welcome and did not order. We stood up and left.
**A Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish** Visited on 11/6/24 in the afternoon, and it was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was abysmal. We had to grab our own menus—an inexcusable oversight for any restaurant. Our party of two ordered two signature rolls (the Fuego Roll and Volcano Roll) and a beer, which came to nearly $50. Both rolls were unappetizing, and after trying just one piece of each, we sent them back. Despite this, the server—a male who barely seemed to care—refused to remove a single item from the bill, not even the beer. Basic hospitality dictates that if customers are dissatisfied with their food, some effort should be made to rectify the situation. Instead, we were left with an overpriced, uneaten meal and zero accommodation. This place lacks both quality and customer service. Save your money and your time—I certainly won’t be returning.
Not sure what was going on but we were seated and ignored for about 20 minutes. It would be fine if they’d let us know that they’re busy and they’d be right with us. But they didn’t. After waiting, we just left. I really wanted to try the food but I can’t imagine how the service would be if they lack communication and are this inattentive.
My ring disappeared in this establishment and so did my friends car keys. They ended up finding my friends car keys after she dined in for 2 hours and they said no one found it. Seems very strange. Sushi was good but, I can’t support a business who can’t take a few minutes to look at their camera to see if someone took my ring or where it went. Will not return.
Been to this place a few times and every time the quality of the food gets worse. I have no issues with the server – she was nice and quick – but the food is a real problem. We ordered a ceviche for 25$, and I have no idea why there was imitation crab stick in it. The marinade also had a strange mayonnaise-like flavor. There is absolutely no need to use anything like that in a proper ceviche marinade. The spicy tuna rolls were the worst part: the rice was dry instead of sticky, and for some reason they were generously sprinkled with dry cayenne pepper on top. Just why? The plantain roll had the same dry rice and barely any cream cheese inside. On top of that, there is an automatic 18% service charge. It’s a bold move to include this on every bill considering how bad the food was, and I did not see any notice about this service charge on the menu. I know the owner usually replies, and I would genuinely like to know: why is it 18% and why isn’t it clearly disclosed?
