a couple friends were visiting miami so i decided to finally get to know the place and go there. i had been recommended this place a while ago. i booked it online and got there with one of my friends sharp on time. They had a bunch of people waiting and made us wait as well. For a moment the situation was getting tense because of the many people waiting table and getting in the way of waiters and people coming in/out the restaurant and the hosts were getting rude, while in my opinion, there were no more places to be waiting at. I had to ask a couple times for my table and got told it was my fault i hadn’t been sat down, but once i got sit down 20 mins after i had booked, everything was beautiful and we enjoyed a proper dinner. The place is cozy, classic style, nice lighting and music, and full of guests. Entre we had an octopus, beautifully prepared, then we all had different pastas all amazing. I had the vongole which i ask in every italian restaurant and it didn’t disappoint, it was fresh, light and tasty. Tiramisu for dessert and an espresso that wasn’t the best. some complimentary limoncello to finish the meal. we also had the wine that the manager suggested and it was top option. Will be coming back. Waitress and buser were on top of the service all the time.
Lorraine was absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into an old-school Italian world. The atmosphere is amazing, and the martini serve was huge for such an incredible price. I loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be coming back very soon. 🍸✨
Was recommended this place. It did not disappoint. Their parking lot is too small to accommodate and I had to find street parking. The inside had a night club vibe with chandelier, wine, and tons of photos on the walls. The service was excellent, they have everyone on some kind of duty: server, table setter, water replenishment, etc. The food was a standout with quality that matched the price point. They do have a dinner special from 5-8pm that reduces the prices. We had the beef carpaccio, squid ink linguine with seafood, lemon chicken with pasta as a side, and the tiramisu. The linguine is great, it had a lot of seafood for the price. As of writing this they do include an 18% tip charge even for table of 2. Definitely a place I would come back to for date night or special occasion. Gus was my server and he was friendly and attentive.
Gianluigi and Andres provided the BEST service. Food was nothing short from phenomenal I had the lobster ravioli and to die for! The atmosphere is so spunky and brings such a warm chill but elegant feel
Everything is always spectacular. It’s the best service in Miami!. we go all the time and we’ll continue to do so. Many of the people who work there feel like friends because of the warmth they convey. I know it’s a demanding job, yet we always feel at home. Thank you María Eugenia, Tomi, Xime, María, and Fabio for the incredible service! See you soon Highly recommended: the skirt steak — I hadn’t tried it before and I loved it!
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. Generous portions at a fair price point but most importantly, every food item we ordered was incredible. - Fried Zucchini was airy and flavorful. Tasted like it was cut and breaded in the kitchen, not frozen bought junk from Sysco. - Gnocchi was genuinely one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Even better than the Carbone spicy rigatoni - Lasagna tasted homemade from the sauce to the noodles. - Tiramisu was tasty and light with a great cup of coffee
GIGI and Franco were amazing! This was our first time at this location but definitely not the last! They were quick, provided their recommendation on pescatarian options and made sure we enjoyed every bite! Thank you both for providing such a great experience! Ciào Ciào for now! ❤️👋🏼
Absolutely INCREDIBLE! The food was FANTASTIC! Great vibes but most impressed by the attention to detail and great service from Gus & Franco. Highly recommended. THANK YOU!
We had the gnocchi and squid ink pasta, both were delicious! Highly recommend the tuna tartare as well. Thank you for amazing service Gianluigi!
WOW! Café Prima Pasta is one of those places that NEVER disappoints. The quality of the food is outstanding and every plate is exquisite Italian cuisine at its best! The service is always superb and they welcome you with fresh bread that is absolutely to die for, so yummy. The dessert was so good that we were fighting for the last bite. I cannot wait to come back again. This restaurant is truly a gem in Miami and definitely recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian food. It’s A MUST!
I can't speak more highly of this place ! It was recommended to us from some locals in Miami Beach. They checked ALL the boxes for an amazing restaurant! Amazing food ! Amazing service from our waiter Gus and Mary ! And The whole place is just an amazing vibe ! I would come all the way back from North Carolina to eat here again ! Don't sleep on Prima Pasta !
Gus was just as amazing as the food! ***** Lobster Ravioli, Black Linguini with Seafood, Mini Fiocchi, Calamari, Profiteroles & Espresso to finish the dinner!! Wish we could drive here from NC every week for dinner.
I pass by this place hundreds of times and always seen a crowd. Finally visited this spot and I have been missing out. The ambience, food & service are top tier. Our waiter was Andrew and buser was Maria and their attentiveness and going above and beyond to clear the table for the next course were amazing. I highly recommend the pasta that is stuffed with pear & cheese and lobster ravioli.
Excellent and attentive service provided by Gianluigi and Mike, the food was delicious and well presented. Service was fast and on-time, always looking out for our table! Everything about the space is beautiful.! Thank you.!
this was my first time at prima pasta with some of my girlfriends and let me tell you, the food is to die for. im not a big fan of sea food and they had a lot of options that didnt include that. our waiters were ricardo & maca and they were very attentive and friendly and gave us all the recommendations on what to order. portions are really good. will definitely be coming back here 10/10
Tldr: Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. We came here on a whim. I was a bit worried, since the menu looks like an overpriced low end Italian restaurant menu, and most of the mains are breaded. However, we were pleasantly surprised that the food was all quite enjoyable! In particular, the risotto special was very nice (black squid ink with octopus and lobster tail), and the tiramisu was the best we've found so far in Miami. The service was also pretty good here. This is a great relief, as all of the other Italian restaurants in the neighborhood have terrible food, terrible service, or both. On our second visit, we got the risotto special and the fish special. Both were still quite good.
We walked in for the first time visiting from Texas and the manager Oscar immediately introduced us to everyone . We were immediately served complimentary drinks & an appetizer! The service was first class from start to finish !And the food was excellent. Our first stop back will be here !! I can’t say enough about the food and service!! Very happy we stopped here before heading home !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Upon walking in this restaurant, you’re immediately met with a homey Italian ambiance. Our servers Gus & Sonia were incredible. They both were attentive and gave great recommendations. We absolutely loved our experience here and will definitely return.
This will be our go to restaurant. Our first time here and it is a true find. The food and service is stellar and there is a very friendly atmosphere. We shared a delicious beef appetizer while sipping on our very generous martini and old fashion. My husband ordered the ravioli and I had the chicken lemone. Both came out piping hot and in a timely manner. Delicious.
Highly recommended. Very nice Italian restaurant. We ate very well. The waitress, Florentia, was really kind—a waitress with a capital letter—attentive, courteous, and friendly. We'll be back. Ximena was also very nice. We'll definitely be back.
Gus was the most professional waiter we have had in a long time. Macarena was helping and was right behind him every step along the way. Very enjoyable evening and the service was superb. Thank you for the experience.
I have been dying to try this place and finally got the opportunity to and it did not disappoint! We got the penne vodka, spaghetti gamberi, zucchini fritti, chocolate mousse cake, Moscow mule passion, and sangria. The pasta was cooked to perfection and all the food and drinks were so delicious. The place has a really cool and romantic ambience, but I will say sitting outside was very loud since the restaurant is located along a main road
We visited 3/7/24 with a 8:30 PM reservation made through Open Table. 1st time visitors, and we showed up to a full house, it was really busy and i was concerned we wouldn't get our reservation on time. I spoke with the reception/host and he was very kind, informative & honest. We waited nearly an extra 30 minutes but the host assured us we'd get the next table available. He sent my wife & I complimentary bread while waiting. They even sent us a complimentary appetizer of our choice. We were greeted by our server by the name of Andreu (i believe). He was very helpful for us 1st timers, recommended us plates and showed us the most popular house dishes. He got our salad and kid's order sent right away since he knew we were waiting a while. I ordered the BLACK LINGUINI SEAFOOD, with lobster sauce as recommended, and my wife had the Penne Vodka Pasta. Everything we had was spectacular. Service was immaculate. One of the best pasta dishes ive ever had. 10/10, cheers to the staff, establishment and chefs!
Prima Pasta is the place to be in Miami. The food the ambience and the service is impeccable. Andreu our server went above and beyond to make our night special, and our other server Ivan was amazing making sure we were taken care of. Cant wait to come back
We have an amazing experience! My fav authentic Italian spot in Miami. Richard our server was on point and super nice and professional. The food is super fresh homemade and delightful.
I went to prima for a birthday for my niece and everything was lovely! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and timed everything so well. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was outstanding - our waiter and Fabio made our visit feel so personalized. 10/10 highly recommend - prima does not disappoint!
True locals restaurant serving up incredibly delicious food and drink...the house cybernetic by the bottle is well worth the beyond inexpensive $28 price (Bonanza). Can not go wrong with chicken parm entree but the menu options are a wonderful variety. 4-6 Happy hour menu is not to be missed. Service is excellent.
I had never been here before, I was brought here for a birthday celebration. Andrew was our waiter. He was excellent attentive and explain the menu options very well. The food was excellent. Much better than any restaurant I have ever been to in my neighborhood of Coral Gables! Zana was the busser. She was pleasant and attentive as well. Overall, a wonderful exciting new experience I can’t wait to come ! ❤️
We had an amazing meal ! Osso bucco was next level, as was our waiter Gus! He welcomed us like old friends. Special shout out to Franco as well; he went above and beyond! We’ll be back!
We had a group of 13 people at Prima Pasta, and everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was outstanding. Fabio, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure our entire table was taken care of — friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. Highly recommend this place for both small dinners and large gatherings. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the best places to eat in all of Miami. Our waiter (forget his name but he’s from Argentina!) was so attentive, energetic, and friendly. He gave expert drink and food recommendations and we did not leave either hungry or disappointed. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the taste is incredible. We will certainly be back!
Cafe Prima Pasta is a restaurant I have enjoyed multiple times with my family & friends. They open at 4:30 pm and offer their insanely superb Happy Hour menu where prices are close to half off and you’re more than getting your money's worth. The smell of freshly baked warm bread wafts through the restaurant which you’re of course given a basket of during your visit. They have a wide variety of pasta on the menu, along with salads and other tasty treats. The food is extremely fresh & piping hot when it’s served to the table. When you go to Prima Pasta, you’re made to feel special and the wait staff are incredibly attentive to your needs the entire time. They make you feel like you’re part of the family like a good Italian restaurant should. The atmosphere is comforting with its dim lighting and flickering faux candles, it’s easy to spend an hour or more here without notice. They have indoor & outdoor seating but I prefer their indoor dining experience more. Although my review encompasses all of my time spent at Prima, I especially enjoyed today as I brought my mother here for her birthday and they treated her like a queen. She loved the Tiramisu with Happy Bday written on it and the waiters singing to her. Thank you again Osman & Carlos Overall Cafe Prima Pasta is a great Italian spot in Miami Beach, not to be missed and great for every occasion.
AMAZING FOOD!! All 5 of us gave it 5 stars!! They even gave us a free appetizer while waiting for our table. Gianluigi was the best and sweetest server. Great recommendations!
Amazing experience at Cafe Prima Pasta! Diego was the best — he took great care of us and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely incredible. Everything was delicious from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Nice ambience, the noise level wasn't bothersome. Food was good, a little pricey. What made it great were the servers. Filled water and bread, always helpful and kind, didn't rush us, even though there were people waiting to be seated. Very enjoyable evening.
Awesome place!! Our favorite Italian in Miami. The food, the service, everything is perfect. They really know what they are doing. Best meatballs and lasagna in town. Arugula salad is perfection. Bread is dangerous because is so good. The branzino and potatoes were delicious. Congratulations to all the staff for the excellent job! Parking is small but if you make a left and go for one block, there’s another public parking, walking distance.
Sit at the bar and ask for Henry! If you are looking for a one of a kind experience in a classic Miami restaurant please come here! The food incredible, happy hour is immaculate, service by Henry is legendary!!! Will come back here time and time again for Henry, appreciate the Michelin Star service for our date nite. Thank you so much Henry and cant wait until next time! 🔥❤️🙌
We were in miami for 4 days, ate here twice. Great atmosphere, and food. The service was top notch and highly recommend the beet salad!
ANDREU AND GONZALO WERE AMAZING!!! The service was PHENOMENAL they were so nice and attentive. The food was insanely delicious you’d think you were in Italy but better. Ambiance, vibe, service is on a million. I will specifically come back to Miami for this place. LOVEEEE
We’ve been eating at Cafe Prima Pasta for almost 30 years. It has never disappointed, and actually keeps getting better every time! And the staff is just amazing. Andreu has taken exceptional care of us many times and we always are grateful to have him.
After going to several restaurants in Miami I can definitely say.. this one is the best in town ! Great atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awesome waiter attention ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was an awesome trip of taste ! If you go.. order the Risotto with Osobuco is the specialty of the house ! Also Tiramisu is a must !
I rarely post 5 stars all across the board - but this place earned it. The best Italian food in Miami. The atmosphere is as if you’re in a NYC family owned Italian restaurant. The food and service were phenomenal!
Excellent food and ambience !! From the start, staff was very attentive of our party of eight, assuring we were all well taken care of. We were gifted dessert to try and wine which was a complimentary gift from our waiters. Food was absolutely delicious and everyone at the table was very pleased with their dish. At the end of our night we sang one of our friends a Happy Birthday where the entire restaurant and staff sang and clapped along. Overall, the service and atmosphere was beyond what we expected, very family oriented, and a must visit !! We’ll be back soon !!
Had not been here on about 25 years. We went on Saturday tat 430 to get the Auper Price Menu. Highly recommend to make a reservation. Location has e landed. Sat outside. Service us impeccable. We ordered the 30 years Past Specail which was excellent-. Wife had Fiochi and daughters friend the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Excellent pricing and bottles of wie at $19.95? That's is so considerate of management. Definitely gonna make this a bi-weekky place to visit.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The food, the atmosphere and the service.. everything was really great. The lighting was lovely and the ambiance was romantic and cozy. The servers were super friendly and welcoming. The portion was very generous and delicious, the prices were great. It was my birthday and the servers started to sing birthday song loudly which was really thoughtful. Though we didn’t order any dessert, we celebrated it all together. That was a great gift. The staff was super sweet and made my birthday experience one to always remember. Thanks guys! Can’t wait to come back!
Update: visited again while in town and couldn't have been happier. The mini Fiocchi and chicken parm were just as delicious as i remembered. Service and staff were great as well. Quick, attentive, and friendly Wonderful atmosphere! Great food! Friendly service! I'll definitely return. Try the Mini Fiocchi; absolutely delicious.
Second visit there and cannot wait for the 3rd and 4th and 5th! Thank you Gus, Maria and Fabio for enhancing the experience with such warm and excellent service! Food and wine were delish, place was busy but ambience was perfect❤️many new restaurants may open there doors but this place remains a classic! Highly recommended 🌺
Excellent food for an equally excellent price. 4-6pm they have a prima hour menu where the food is about 30% off. My favs are the pear ravioli (15/10 get this. This is my FAV ravioli I think ever), the chicken Parm (5/5, the veggies were super good too), and the branzino. The lemon chicken (4/5) was okay. The calamari and zucchini was also magical (5/5). Service was also great. I very highly recommend this place!
Best dish at Miami Beach!! The homemade pasta was awesome and I had the Seabass. It was great. I’m a fisherman up north in Narragansett bay and this sea bass was amazing!
What an experience. From the moment you walk in you are transported to a glitzy 20s Miami Beach vibe. The low lighting and red curtains with chandeliers give it such a romantic vibe. Definitely make reservations! We were sat almost immediately when we got there. And as soon as you sit down and start looking around, you’ll see a bunch of old photographs on the walls. Even some autographed ones from some artists who have been there as well. First, we were given a bruschetta toast as an amuse-bouche to open the palette. The tomatoes and the basil were so fresh and the toast was nice and crisp. It definitely got those taste buds dancing! The menu is short and sweet and the waiter also let us know the specials of the night. We did go with one of the specials which was the lobster caprese risotto. It was amazing! It had a full lobster tail with some grilled shrimp that were butterflied and cooked perfectly. The risotto was nice and smooth and had some fresh crisp asparagus inside. It gave it a nice bite. I also got the penne vodka and it was delicious! The sauce was absolute perfection! The pasta was perfectly al dente and had just the right amount of sauce. And you can taste there was fresh tomatoes in there. Delish! For dessert we got the tiramisu which was deliciously creamy and luxurious and I also got an espresso martini with Bailey’s which had the perfect espresso kick to end the night! What a great spot for a romantic dinner and some great Italian food!
Nick was incredible. He spoiled us and had the best recommendations. He was kind and attentive and made us feel welcome. Sonia was also so kind and attentive and even took photos for us. So far, Nick was the BEST service we have had in this trip. Sonia as well! They made the experience amazing.
Had a large group here and the portions are quite large! On top of that they serve bruschetta and endless bread so try not to get too full before entrees arrive. The service was amazing! They even served us dessert and provided all of us limoncellos on the house. They are so kind. Thank you!
We absolutely LOVE this beautiful and interesting restaurant! Gus took amazing care of us and the food was unmatched by any others. We are from out of state but plan to return in Jan of ‘26 and will definitely be back for more! Thank you for a very special evening, Prima Pasta! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have traveled in from Texas twice and this is a MUST GO TO restaurant. Service is always amazing, food is phenomenal, and such a beautiful atmosphere. My servicer Nick and Milton were amazing. If you are looking for a local Italian restaurant, this is the place to go.
First time here and I loved it, definitely coming back with the fam. From the moment we walked in, the attention to detail was superb. Service was on point; never had to ask for a refill or clear our plates they were so on top of it all. The food was hands down divine! And Ricardo was amazing, we hope to have him again next time.
Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Walking in you are greeted with familial levels of kindness and hospitality, and that level of warmth never leaves, no matter who you speak with. Our waiter recognized me and my girlfriend from one time a year ago, showing the level of care the employees take to their job. Both times I have come here I have been met with extremely attentive service: if a fork falls and someone sees it, they will have picked it up and replaced it before you even realize it fell. As for the food, I have never had food like this. Despite being on the Miami Beach coastline, the ingredients taste like you are countryside in Italy; the freshness and quality of the ingredients is unmatched by any other restaurant I have been to, and the soul put into the food is the final piece that makes this restaurant outstanding. Specifically, I would like to thank Gus and Gimena for their service tonight; Gus was extremely attentive, kind, warm and continuously wished us good blessings. Gimena was also extremely attentive, kind and was always ready to refill our waters, clear our plates, and ask us if we needed anything else. I have never been to a restaurant with better service than here. On top of all of this, the food needs to be mentioned again. I have been to many Italian restaurants in my life and have worked at a few, and have always found myself underwhelmed at the price relative to the taste, as I know my mother or grandmother could make the same meal but better and cheaper. Here, on the other hand, feels like you are getting a deal. I will gladly pay $23 for the chicken limone every time I come, this is the only restaurant comparable to the cooking of my family. I love it here and hope to come every year on my anniversary.
1.17.25 our 1st time here, and we couldn't believe how great the service was. Our waiter was the most polite person we've met in Miami. The food was all delicious and cooked to perfection. The Cuban coffee, chicken parm, the salad, the tiramasu, and the lemon cello, all was great. Sorry, my photos are dark, but we sat outdoors under the red awning, and I didn't use flash.
Absolutely incredible experience at Café Prima Pasta! Diego was an outstanding server—attentive, personable, and truly made us feel welcome. The owner himself was walking around the restaurant, personally checking in with guests and making sure everyone felt taken care of—something you don’t see often. The entire staff was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. From the homemade pasta to the perfectly balanced sauces, you can taste the quality in every bite. The ambiance was just as impressive—cozy, elegant, and full of character. Whether you’re out for a special night or just want an unforgettable meal, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend Café Prima Pasta—we’ll definitely be back!
This is, hands down, one of my favorite restaurants. It’s my second time back, and honestly, once you return you really notice the level of cooking they have. I truly believe it’s the best pasta in Miami. The customer service is absolutely outstanding, unlike anywhere else. The Croatian woman who took care of us was a sweetheart. She was attentive and thoughtful, and we felt genuinely looked after the entire time. No doubt about it, this is one of those places I’ll keep coming back to. One of my favorites.
I absolutely love Argentine cuisine, especially because of its Italian roots, and this place truly honors that heritage. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was spectacular — warm, inviting, and full of character. The food was phenomenal, every bite bursting with flavor, and the service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. I’m completely impressed! This has been one of the best restaurants in Miami for decades, and it definitely lives up to the reputation. Highly recommended!
I went there last night with my wife, second time we went there. The first time we had a group of 8 people, definitely need a reservation for that size that big. I recommend getting reservations only if its 2 people and you want to sit inside. Last night we walked up without a reservation and we were seated immediately outside, the weather was perfect. Our waiter was Andrue, he was very polite and explained the specials and recommended some appetizers. The service and the food was great, highly recommend this place and I will be going back again when I get to Miami again.
Dining at Prima Pasta was an incredible experience from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and truly outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the Gnocchi Rapera, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A special thank you to Augusto for providing such excellent service and making the evening even more enjoyable. We are already looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Excellent service by Augusto Andres Augusto Andres was extremely friendly from the moment we arrived at the restaurant. He welcomed us warmly and made us feel comfortable right away. Throughout the entire experience, he was attentive, professional, and treated us very well. His kindness and positive attitude truly made our visit even more enjoyable. Excellent service — we will definitely be back!
How many restaurants last more than 30 years without compromising on quality, portions, or service? Exactly. This place is a classic. The food is heavenly — I’ve never had a single bite I didn’t love. Pro tip: order the tiramisu cake; it will haunt you forever (in the best way). The service is polished and professional, and the atmosphere is warm and intimate. You’d expect sky-high prices for this level of dining, but it’s surprisingly reasonable. Perfect for a date night or any occasion that calls for closeness and connection.
Dining at Prima Pasta is like being with family. A happy, loving family that is warm, welcoming and accommodating. One that is sincerely glad you came. Overjoyed and grateful that my husband surprised me with a pre-valentine dinner at one of my all-time favorite places since 1993, the one and only, Prima Pasta. Our servers Nicolas and Milton were first-class amazing; genuinely kind and most attentive throughout our few hours. Our meal was authentic and sumptuous from the beginning with the bruschetta to the bread to the carpaccio di manzo and carpaccio di salmone, the truly fantastico fettuccine langosta, the lovely veal giardino, and the decadent profiteroles for the grand finale. As we shared our past Prima Pasta stories, we were reminiscing and relishing every moment and morsel. Making new memories is always a good idea, and going to Prima Pasta is too. Grazie mille alla bella Famiglia Cea!
Been visiting this place for years, food never disappoints. Service could be more on point, but everyone was kind, I loved that everyone took their time to greet us in our way out, even the bartender from afar as well as the hostess, which believe it or not is not very common in Miami. Plus for accommodating us to our dietary request! Their menu is pretty vast and with tons of options, we visited for late lunch so we had 3 menus to choose from:the regular menu, happy hour menu and Miami spice menu (as it was during August). We didn’t reserve a table but I recommend to do so as this place is busy most of the time.
Prima Pasta is really the complete package, great food, great atmosphere and great service! We had reservations and were seated immediately. Quickly greeted by some complementary bruschetta and a great server in Nick… The zucchini fritti appetizer was delicious as was our dinner entree’s… The cocktails were great too. All in all it was an overall perfect evening. We will be back soon!
This place is a true gem. Everything here was amazing on my visit. We got great service and everyone's food was delicious! The calamari appetizer was very good, I got the squid ink seafood pasta w lobster sauce and it was amazing. My negroni cocktail was on point and very delicious. Great service throughout and the home made lemon-cello shots at the end really ended an amazing meal on a high note. Great atmosphere w some chill music with very unique remixes.
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE. From the moment we walked in, Andreu and Sonia made us feel like family. The restaurant instantly felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely home-like—something you can’t fake. Their service was beyond amazing: attentive, kind, and truly passionate about what they do. The food? Top-tier in every sense of the word. Every bite was outstanding and clearly made with care and pride. This is the kind of place that reminds you why going out to eat should feel special. Thanks to Andreu and Sonia, you’ve earned a forever customer. We will absolutely be coming back again and again.
It was my first time dining here, and it was AMAZING from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. We followed our server’s recommendations and were not disappointed at all! The black ink lobster ravioli was probably the best ravioli I’ve ever had in my life. Also pear ravioli was so different but we liked it so much! If you go, I highly recommend asking for Gianluigi along with Ximena— they were fantastic!
We came here for the Miami Spice menu and outside of it being one of the only restaurants available for Miami Spice on Saturdays, it’s one of the best deals with the best food you’ll find in the city. The mini fiocci rapera was my favorite. The pear added an exquisite subtle sweet flavor to the pasta. Our server Riccardo was super attentive, charistmatic, and friendly. One of the best servers I’ve had he was amazing and gave us great recommendations too. The ambiance is spectacular with great music and lighting. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Miami and very affordable at that. The $15 valet parking was the only turn off but I was able to quickly find street parking nearby for $1.50 an hour.
If you're in Miami Beach - eat here! We've been coming for many years and everyone from the host Ezikel to the servers (we were lucky enough to have Ricardo) are amazing. You walk in to a vibe - it's a classic Italian restaurant - but elevated, there's an instant mood. Then when seated you get either bread or bruschetta (the olive oil is top quality) - the food is just amazing. Top marks for the carpaccio and the pastas are rich and amazing. Make sure to visit!! We went for family birthdays yesterday and thanks to the host we were at an amazing table and had a really special evening! Hosts are often overlooked - and he made our whole evening. Thank you!!
Café Prima Pasta was absolutely exquisite! From the moment we walked in, everything was top tier. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was truly impeccable. Lorena, our waitress, was attentive, professional, and so warm. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Andres, the assistant waiter, was also incredible — on point the entire evening and extremely courteous. Together, they made our experience exceptional. Compared to Loui Bossi in Fort Lauderdale, it was like day and night. Café Prima Pasta is on a completely different level — much, much better in both service and overall experience. We will absolutely be back!
We have been dining at Prima for 20 years. From the minute you step in and are greeted by gracious hosts to the euphoric bar vibes and every service detail thereafter, we always leave happy and loved. The staff is so amazing and attentive and the food is spectacular and served piping hot (or ice cold on chilled salad plates). We are so fortunate to have this badass Italian restaurant in our neighborhood.

You absolutely need a reservation, otherwise the wait is usually over an hour. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very well decorated, and a pleasant place to sit The service is fantastic. Several waiters attend you at the same time, they constantly refill your drinks, and everyone speaks Spanish. At the beginning, they bring you a bread basket that they happily refill as many times as you want The food was incredible – every dish we tried was outstanding. However, the main downside (and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is the pricing of the specials. After giving you the menu, the waiters list the daily specials. They sound amazing, but the prices are never mentioned. When the menu dishes are between $20–30, you’d reasonably expect the specials to be around $40–45. We ordered four specials, and each ended up costing $55. Learning that only when the check arrives leaves a bitter taste, even if the food itself was excellent We were 9 people, didn’t order appetizers, only one dessert, and no bottles of wine – just main dishes. Still, the bill came to about $60 per person. The food may be worth it, but it would be much better if the prices of the specials were communicated upfront, instead of being surprised with a dish that costs almost double the menu price
I went to this restaurant on a Friday night. They have a small parking lot available, but they also have valet for $15. The place was full, so reservations are highly recommended, I am glad we made a reservation before going there. The service was good from the hostess to the server and runners. We ordered the meatballs & ricotta and the raviolini Fabio as appetizers. Then, we had a black linguini seafood and the fiocchi rapera as entrees. Everything was really good. The only thing I would suggest is to strength the dessert menu, it is a very traditional dessert menu. We ordered a tiramisu and a creme brulee as desserts and they were ok, but nothing extraordinary. They should include some popular and trending items for those who enjoy the dessert time of the dinner, like us :) Price was fair around $30-$50 per person.
Good meal , great atmosphere , even better service . Started with caeser salad decent , calamari pretty good, beef carpaccio…. Listen , I’m going to fight the owners over this, it says best in the world .. it was good 8/10 but best in world it was not. Lobster ravioli good, chicken parm very good, veal very good. Deserts 10/10 . Overall good meal , would recommend to a friend.
Going there for about 30 years...the last 2 times were very disappointing. We noticed a drop-off with food quality and service. They forgot to send an appetizer and and once we mentioned that, we said we don't want the main courses to come out till later. She said they were already being cooked. After the appetizer came out, we enjoyed it and then she brought the main courses. The chicken parm and the veal parm were so dry. We had to send it back... Also, In between courses, they used to clean the table cloth and get you ready for the main, but no more.. Since the place was busy , it seemed they were more interested and getting you in and out...we will not be making the long drive anymore...Gianni in Pompano...as good if not better..
We started with the zucchini fritta and it was extremely greasy. Not good at all. I ordered the Chicken Lemone with a side is pasta with vodka sauce (upcharge). I’m not sure what sauce they put on the pasta but it was definitely NOT vodka and it was terrible (when i asked they said it was vodka). The chicken was like eating a literal salt stick. The only taste was salt and somehow it was dry. I would not eat here again-even if the meal was free. I rate it a 2 bc the atmosphere was nice and the drink was good.
My God, over the years, how this place has degraded still a great looking location. Great ambiance, but reheated frozen lasagna?, dry meat? A homeless person tattooed from tip to bottom screaming at you as the waitress? automatic 20% tip? $15 small glass cheap wine?. Terrible, terrible, avoid like the plague. what a shame, been going there for 40+ years - never again.
As a long term customer that loves Prima Pasta and has referred endless people there it hurts to write this. Why offer Miami Spice if your going to serve your popular dishes but not as they usually come. I will say the service was very good but…. I went to prima pasta last night which I absolutely love and on their spice menu they had all my favorites but the pear truffle fiocci was day and night with the regular one. Horrible! The pasta was chewy and overcooked. The prosciutto non existent. The pear tasteless and the truffle… you can usually smell the truffle when the plate comes. This time zero truffle taste or smell. The chicken parm looked like a blanket of mozzarella. Horrible! The chicken was paper thin and dry, as for the penne pasta it was also not edible as it was also hard and chewy. I ordered a side of vegetables which the waiter said was a medley of delicious fresh vegetables. It looked like it was out of a can. It was mushy, overcooked, and drenched in oil or butter. It was gross! The tiramisu was not their regular portion. It was a 3 bite size.
