Beautiful restaurant with absolutely delicious Cuban food. Restaurant is located in a festive part of town with a lot of diversity and excitement. Restaurant is beautiful with great ambiance and decor. Food was ample and well priced. Service was top notch. Make reservations as this is not a big venue and there is plenty of people wanting to dine here and I can definitely see why. Highly recommended.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Cuban Food in Miami — Hands Down! If you’re in South Beach and craving authentic Cuban food, Sazon Cubano South Beach is an absolute must. This place delivered one of the best Cuban dining experiences I’ve had in Miami — hands down. From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible. Our server Manuel was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. You can tell he truly cares about the guests’ experience. The GM Ariel also came by and made us feel extremely welcomed. Both of them were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. The food was outstanding — authentic flavors, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. Every dish tasted like true Cuban home cooking, but elevated for a great restaurant experience. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and phenomenal food. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Miami. Highly recommend! 🇨🇺🔥
Sazon is an absolute gem in Miami Beach! From the moment you walk through the doors, the warm and vibrant atmosphere makes you feel like family. The service is incredibly attentive and welcoming without ever being overbearing. But the real star of the show is the food. I ordered the traditional Ropa Vieja, and it was sheer perfection - tender, incredibly flavorful, and accompanied by the absolute best black beans and sweet plantains I have ever had here. We also started with some perfectly crispy empanadas and washed everything down with their refreshing, expertly balanced mojitos. To finish, a classic cortadito and flan sealed the deal. If you want authentic Cuban food and generous portions, Sazon is the best place. I give 5 solid stars!!!
I have been here several times with friends who live in Miami. We have had both lunch and dinner here. It is such a fun place. The food and drinks have always been really good. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. You can’t go wrong with the beef empanadas and the classic mojitos! ♥️
For starters my mother (visiting from California) and I (lived here for 3 years) Have came to this restaurant twice so far. Each time we’ve had great service and a very welcoming experience. This is my mom‘s second time at this restaurant, as well as I, and it was an absolute pleasure. The service was phenomenal! Our server, Enderson, was an amazing server and was extremely attentive and gave us exceptional service. My mom has wanted to always try a Cuban sandwich since I moved to Miami (3 years ago) and today was the first time she did. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Definitely recommend! And definitely recommend service from Enderson!
Great atmosphere, the best service and everything that you will eat here is incredible. I love coming to this place. They play live music several nights a week and they have some really nice outside seating. Just a few steps away from North Miami Beach.
A very nice place that has great food a good atmosphere definitely make sure you stop by to get a bite and a drink Attire is casual dress. It also has a very nice back outside patio
Amazing Food & Great Service! I had such a great experience here! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish tasted delicious and came out hot and well-seasoned. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit even better; my waiter Lourdes was great The place was clean, welcoming, and had a nice vibe. Definitely recommend—can’t wait to come back! 🍽️✨
An excellent experience at this Cuban restaurant! I ordered menu of the day and it was a very pleasant surprise: tender lamb, perfectly cooked, with a rich and well-balanced wine sauce, served with flavorful rice and a hearty bean soup, just like traditional Cuban home cooking. Portions were generous, the price was very reasonable, and the atmosphere was simple and welcoming. Authentic food full of flavor. I would definitely come back.
I had an excellent experience thanks to Melina. She was extremely attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead of what we needed. Her service felt genuine — she checked on us at the right moments, kept a great attitude the whole time, and made the entire meal much more enjoyable. The way she handled everything showed real professionalism and care. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel this comfortable and welcome. Melina did an outstanding job, and she absolutely deserves recognition. I’d be happy to come back and be served by her again.
This is the place to go for a true Cuban experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and some days they even have live music, which adds to the charm. I was searching for the perfect spot to try authentic Cuban food, and I’m glad I found it! everything was delicious and the portions are generous, so you definitely leave satisfied. The service was great and the overall vibe makes you want to stay a while. A must-visit if you’re in the mood for real Cuban flavor.
We ate Sazon twice during my Vaca. Food was amazing, reminded me of all the food I grew up eating. Great portions, hostess, servers, everyone was so friendly. We came back the following night so we could hear the live band play.only wish there was a dance floor, but we really enjoyed it. I think our favorite was the Lechon & papa rellanas. Also the Tres Leches cake was superb. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy great Spanish food & live music.
Elizabeth was an angel. So friendly and funny. Food was amazing. Absolutely love the shrimp. Would definitely come back again. Love authentic local eats.
The tres leches cake is possibly the most delicious desert I’ve ever had in my entire life. The seafood paella was amazing too! They do NOT skimp on the seafood.
We visited for our anniversary and stopped in right after arriving in town. Our waitress, Sahili, was incredibly kind and attentive. Service was excellent from start to finish. I loved my drink; the passion fruit flavor really came through and it looked beautiful too. The empanadas were packed with flavor. I tried others around town during our stay and none compared. The Cuban sandwich was also delicious, and the large was perfect for sharing. Truly a great start to our trip. 9/10.
Absolutely beautiful place! The food is AMAZING! So much authentic flavor and it was so fresh! Very clean establishment, beautiful atmosphere and music and absolutely wonderful and very pleasant staff! You will not be disappointed , we ate here twice during our vacation and one the waitresses demented us from our first night which is always nice. We had the oxtail and salmon the first night and the large seafood and chicken paella( fed me and my husband twice-can feed 3-4 people)
AMAZING! The best piña colada in Miami! Thanks to JESSICA 💕 for the recommendation. We really love the place and the team! It’s super warm! I definitely would recommend this place for a good time ❤️
I’m Cuban—born in New York, raised in Miami, and now living in Brooklyn. We visit Miami often to see family, and we eat here regularly, but this is actually my first time writing a review for this establishment. The food has always been excellent, and I’m happy to say, it still is. Tonight, our dishes were strong across the board. Out of the six entrées we ordered, five were spot-on. The ropa vieja was the only miss—flavor was a bit one-note and the sauce a little too watery. But everything else more than made up for it. The palomilla was tender and perfectly seasoned; the vaca frita de pollo was outstanding; and even the simple grilled chicken a la plancha was cooked beautifully. We also shared the vegetarian tamal with onions and a basket of mariquitas—crispy, salty, and as good as ever. Dessert was a highlight. We passed around the tres leches (delicious), the toreja (very good), and a flan that was delicate, elegant, and beautifully textured. Our waitress—a young woman who is pregnant—was exceptional. She was kind, patient, and unflappable while managing a lively table of six loud, overlapping Cuban conversations. The rest of the front-of-house staff was equally gracious, and the chefs in the kitchen are truly delivering. If you want to dine here, make a reservation—the secret is out. This is the spot on Miami Beach for Good Cuban Food.

Amazing Cuban style food for any taste and pocket, great service and music - happy hours and live music - everything you need for your vacation! I did not even have to add any spices or salt. Their shank of lamb was amazing, and I had it with black beans and Yuka - perfectly cooked! Definitely coming back for more!

Wonderful all around experience. Atmosphere - sat on back patio. Service, wait staff attentive. Food exceptional.
The best Cuban food I have ever had! The servers were extremely friendly and attentive. Could not recommend this place more.
Delicious food and drinks! Everything was so flavorful-we wanted to try everything but our table was so full already! Our server was so nice and helpful too-we got to take home yummy leftovers and ate them all the following day! Truly a wonderful spot for dinner!

(…and I’d give it 10 if I could!) We had such an amazing experience at Sazón Cubano! First of all, the staff was incredible — super friendly, fast, and genuinely caring. They answered all our questions patiently and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely — great music, cozy décor, and an overall vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. It’s such a perfect spot to enjoy a good meal. Now, the food… WOW! 🥪✨ Hands down, the best Cuban Sandwich in all of Miami Beach. The portion was huge — so big my husband and I had to share it, and it was still plenty for both of us. Every bite was just perfect. For dessert, we had the flan de coco, and honestly, the texture was like biting into a cloud ☁️ — soft, creamy, and absolutely delicious. No improvement suggestions at all — just a heartfelt thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable dinner. We’ll definitely be back!
The Vaca Frita is out of this world!!! I ordered the sweet plantains as one of my sides and alternating between the sweet chewy plantains then back to the garlicky Vaca Frita was ecstasy! Crispy, yet tender - how??? The other side dish was black beans and rice mixed together, very good. My son had the Ropa Vieja with yellow rice and sweet plantains. Very good as well, like shredded pot roast. Cannot say enough about the truly fantastic food and atmosphere. The two drinks, mojito and Bloody Mary were “meh”. Make reservations so you don’t have to wait in line and eat super late. People are here to take their time, savor the goodness and enjoy the atmosphere.
I absolutely love this place. The Customer Service and a little window is absolutely amazing. Virginia. It is absolutely kind attentive and pays attention to customers needs, which is the reason why I always come back.
Miss Jessica is so lovely!!! She recommend Vaca Frita, the beef which is super amazing, tender and good flavor as well as the accompany with rice and mash potatoes! I also tried the Cubano coffee, that she recommended to me, which has a very unique and delicious taste!! I have to say she’s such a good recommender with a good taste!!! :))) I really appreciate the kindness and passionate that the restaurant brings to me as well !!! :)) I’m editing this comments on 28th of April, I came back to this restaurant because of the amazing food . Miss Betsabe, another very kind and passionate lady, recommend me the Bistrc a Caballo, which is also super extra delicious, making me more obsessed with this restaurant!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ definitely gonna come back again because of the lovely, kind and wonderful service and food! ;)
I had a fantastic experience at Sabor on Miami Beach! The food was cooked perfectly—so flavorful and tender. The yucca was excellent, and the salad was fresh and well-balanced. But the highlight for me was the mango ice cream—WOW, absolutely spectacular! Great food and great flavors. I’ll definitely be back!
1.15.25 I've never had Cuban food so we decided to try a couple of entrees including the popular, Roja Vieja. And omg, it was absolutely the best dish we've had in Miami so far. It was delicious. Our waitress did a perfect job of getting our drinks, apps, dinner and checking up on us. We had a very enjoyable meal and are already planning on coming back in a few days.
We are from Atlanta and came to Miami for a long weekend. We found Sazon and ended up coming back 3 times because it was so good! The food is amazing and so flavorful, the staff is wonderful and made awesome suggestions, and the atmosphere was great! We came on a Sunday when they had live music and I could not stop moving!! If you are in Miami you HAVE to try Sazon Cubano!
Great food and atmosphere. Had to wait an hour outside for inside seating on a Saturday night with the cold temps approaching. Worth the wait for good tasty cuban food. Highly recommend the ropa vieja empanadas.
Such a nice place to have close to where i was staying. Went twice and just really enjoyed my time there & the meal. The arroz con pollo was so good & our server, Jorge was so quick and attentive!
We absolutely loved this place. Visited Miami for a week, Sazōn was right next to our airbnb. The Cuban was amazing. We got that night one. We ate breakfast here every morning. The coffee is so good. The servers are so nice. By the end of our trip on our last day, our waiter knew our order! Definitely recommend this place if you’re staying on north shore of Miami Beach!
Amazing atmosphere, excellent attentive and friendly service. The food, and drink were top notch. To start, I had their ceviche. It was delicious, and beautifully presented. For my meal, ordered the Vaca Frita. It was honestly one of the best prepared beef I’ve had in my life. Great flavor, texture- so good!
We came with our daughter after enjoying a beach day. We ordered an ajiaco soup and biftec de palomilla. El ajiaco is a big size soup, with good array of potato like vegetables, beef and corn. It is thick and very tasty. The biftec was well seasoned, along with maduros and congri rice. Perfect Blend. Don't miss the cortadito coffee and a good piece of flan. Great atmosphere and excellent staff. Very corteous.
I wish that I knew to make a reservation before I went, but the wait was worth it. The food was fantastic. There are not a lot of tables inside so it was a bit cramped feeling, but we were able to have conversation without having to talk over a lot of noise.
Stopped in on my way back to my hotel. I had the Pollo Al Grill. The chicken was delicious. The portion was large enough that I took half the rice and chicken back to my hotel. I would eat here again.
Our steak was amazing, and the tres leches was very good. Nice medium atmosphere with proper volume music. Very reasonable prices with very good portions. Our server naylin was also great.
The food was delicious; moist and savory chicken and rice. I recommend going early. My friend and I went during happy hour when it wasn't too busy, but when we left there was a wait line.
Always my go to for Great Cuban food in the area. The bistec empanizado, papa rellenas, Covina, & Croquetas were ridiculous with flavor and delivery. Top it off with Great service and a nice table in the back patio by the live music for the win.
Amazing food, my bf is puertorican so I am familiar with Hispanic food and this is the thanksgiving of Hispanics. Best food ever super authentic, amazing happy hour deals. We got a pitcher of mojito for 20$, and it gave us each 4 drinks. Beyond phenomenal and I’m from Connecticut.
We started with the Mariquitas, the plantain was perfectly fried, the mojo and black were delicious. For the main we shared the Large Cuban sandwich, I will say this is the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. The mojito was so perfectly made not drowning in sweetness a thoroughly enjoyable, the coconut Flan I have no words for, because it left me speechless. If I could rate this experience, 100 stars I would. I was so busy hyping up the food I forgot to mention our server, he was very attentive and quick to check on us. I highly recommend Sazōn
During my stay at the Monte Carlo, I inquired with the front desk regarding a reputable restaurant for dinner. They inquired about my preference for Cuban cuisine, to which I replied that I had not previously tried it. They assured me that it was definitely worth exploring, so I took their advice. Upon entering the restaurant, I was impressed by the ambiance and the host's warm greeting. She promptly seated me, and a waitress soon followed. I informed her that I was unfamiliar with Cuban cuisine and sought her recommendation on what to order. She suggested oxtail, but I was uncertain about trying it, so I asked if there was an alternative dish that the restaurant highly recommended. She then suggested churrasco accompanied by moros and fried sweet plantains. The entire selection sounded appealing, and while I was unsure of what to expect, I can attest that it was truly exceptional. The steak was outstanding, and the fried sweet plantains were delectable. The waitress and her supporting staff were equally impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We are enjoying our vacation and my husband and I wanted to have authentic Cuban food. A bar tender recommended sazón for real tradional Cuban food we took the adventure we walked to the restaurant when we walked in the staff was friendly we got excellent service. Melina took good care of us she made suggestions and let us look at the menu without rushing us. The ceviche is spectacular and the seafood paella is delicious. My husband ordered arroz moro, ropa vieja and maduros. We strongly recommend it. So if you are on vacation or in the area and want delicious food and excellent service please visit Sazón and say hello to Melina she is amazing.
The food was very delicious, good portions and the service was great. The prices were reasonable. 3 course meal for my wife and myself was 61$ Our server Elisabeth did a great job. Very attentive and informative. Some of the best Cuban food we've had.
A perfect Sunday night in Miami Beach unfolded on the patio at Sazon Cuban Cuisine — the kind of evening that reminds you why Cuban food and tropical air belong together. 🌴✨ The night began with a small personal rebellion. I’m normally loyal to my gin & tonic, but the atmosphere demanded something more Havana than London. So I ordered a classic Hemingway on the rocks — bright citrus, clean rum, and just enough swagger to set the tone for the evening. It was the right call. The patio itself felt magical. Warm Florida air drifted through the pappal, a frond-covered outdoor enclosure inspired by traditional structures used by Florida’s Indigenous peoples. Under the soft rustle of palms and the gentle hum of Latin music, the whole space felt like a hidden courtyard somewhere between Miami Beach and Old Havana. 🌙🎶 Then the food arrived. My plate featured a beautifully grilled churrasco steak, sliced and glistening with that perfect char that only a proper Cuban kitchen seems to master. Alongside it were sweet plantains caramelized to golden perfection and yellow rice fragrant with spices — simple, classic, and deeply satisfying. Around the table, the rest of the spread looked like a greatest-hits album of Cuban cuisine: Lobster that tasted like it had just come off the boat Cuban chicken, rich and savory with deep island seasoning Vaca Frita, crisped beef with that irresistible garlicky brightness Ceviche de Camarón, cool, citrusy shrimp that practically sparkled in the night air Every dish arrived vibrant and generous — the kind of food meant for sharing, passing, and talking over. What truly sealed the experience, though, was the service. Attentive without hovering, warm without theatrics — the staff moved through the patio like seasoned hosts at a great Cuban dinner party. And here’s the surprise: the prices. In a place like Miami Beach, where a cocktail can sometimes cost more than your dinner, the value here felt refreshingly honest. So there we were: music floating through the air, palm fronds overhead, rum in hand, and plates full of Cuban comfort. Some meals feed you. Others become an evening you wish would last another hour. Sunday night at Sazon was very much the latter. 🇨🇺🍹🌙
The Vaca Frita is out of this world!!! I ordered the sweet plantains as one of my sides and alternating between the sweet chewy plantains then back to the garlicky Vaca Frita was ecstasy! Love love love my experience. Came here for brunch. The minute you walk in you don’t feel like you’re struggling with the south beach insanity. Professional. Patient. Love a place that love what they do and are proud of what they do and how they do it. Great customer service. Great food.
PLEASE COME HERE! My Food review on TikTok & Instagram @gracetimmerss for more details. I wanted to start from the beginning. Upon arrival we were greeted and immediately sat. We had our 12 week old puppy with us and they were kind and understanding about her joining our fabulous dinner experience. Within the first 30 seconds of sitting our server greeted us with a smile and brought water over. He was attentive, fast, friendly and polite. 10/10. Our server gave us the best recommendations. We got the large seafood paella ( definitely enough food for 4/5 people) we wanted leftovers. The seafood was fresh, not chewy and cooked to perfection. Lobster, shrimp, fish and muscles. 12/10. I will be coming back just for the paella. $48 to feed 4/5 people. WHAT A DEAL! As well as the rice pudding. Soft, creamy, made IN HOUSE! Garnished with cinnamon as well as cinnamon stick, lime, and orange slice within the pudding. Rice pudding is my favorite but this BLEW IT AWAY! The best and healthiest rice pudding I have had. Not too sweet. It was perfect. It was about 9pm and the restaurant was empty! I hope to see more faces there. They deserve the business!
This is a staple for authentic Cuban food in Miami. Not the touristy stuff, but the real deal my friends! I was greeted by warm and welcoming customer service during the bustling dinner hours, and seated promptly right away. To get started I ordered delicious beef empanadas. They came with a delicious salsa verde, and the empanadas hit the soul with each warm and flavorful bite!!! You could taste the fragrant seasonings as well! For my main course, I ordered ropa vieja with morros (beans combined with rice) and fried sweet plantains. Ropa vieja is a delicious shredded beef that is covered in a red tomato sauce. The ropa vieja was pure comfort! From the beef that melted in your mouth, to the sweet and savory plantains, to the amazing rice and beans (morros) that added a nice touch to it all. For dessert, I had tres leches cake and that was a home-run for me! Savory and delectable goodness! This place lives up to it’s reputation! Check it out! Cheers!
Putting a heart ❤️ on this place! A friend - JB (local) - brought us here. He was right - no surprise - awesome spot. We had an heroic breakfast - bacon, eggs, steak, bacon, plantains, bacon, fried fish, wine, beer, margaritas…French fries. Stop on by - wish i was there for some live tunes 🪘. Beach is right down the road.
I'm surprised my fiance and I didn't get our mail sent here after so many visits. We discovered this gem on our first trip to Miami 2 years ago and could still taste some of the food in our memories. We decided to take another trip a few weeks ago and it was every bit as good as we remembered. Word to the wise, make reservations if possible because this place is almost always packed, and for good reason!! Some of the items are perfect for individual consumption, but honestly everything on the menu is easily split able, especially the Steak Churrasco which was my hands down favorite. However one serving is RIDICULOUSLY huge, so definitely a split able selection. The Tres Leches is so sinfully good it should be a federal crime to have more than one a year. Extra special shout-out to Ryan who I believe is the manager but during our multiple daily experiences also had the distinction of being the maitre d and had to field a lot of big egos at the door. He was a wonderful host. In North Miami Beach, THIS is the spot!!
We went our last night in Miami and were lucky enough to get Elizabeth as our waitress. She was so welcoming and was the best server. The food was the highlight of our trip. Our picky eater of a daughter tried new thing and RAVED about all the flavors!!! Husband deemed this best Cuban sandwich of his life! Already planning next trip back to Miami and will be coming here for many meals!!
Seriously needed a good meal after that long flight, and Sazón Cubano in Miami Beach totally hit the spot. The servers were so friendly and their recommendation was spot on (can't go wrong with a cuban sandwich); everything was delicious and the prices were great. Plus, the portions were enough, so I even had leftovers to take back. Loved the vibe there, it was just what I needed!
We stayed near this place on a recent trip to Miami and went four times during our 3 day stay. That might seem overkill but it offers great, simple, extremely tasty food at very reasonable prices in a extremely nice environment. Had the steak and egg for breakfast (which was great) and many Cubano sandwiches from the to go counter-style restaurant at the back of the building. $10 for the one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted is a heck of a deal. Highly recommend.
Excellent service. Great tasting food. Staples like the croquetas and sopa de pollo never fail. El bistec encebollado is my go to with a side of yuca y moro.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Food and service is fantastic with both indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar. We visited here several times on our vacation and it was spectacular every time
This a great cuban restaurant! The music and ambiance is great. Staff is super friendly. I cam with my family and had a delicious meal. The portions are super generous. We ordered the fried yuca, two mamei smoothies, a cuban sandwich, a pan con lechon, and a churrasco (steak) with fried plantains and rice and beans (moros). And for dessert, my personal favorite, tres leches cake!
If you like Cuban food or are interested in trying come to this place. I drove by endless amount of times and finally came to eat here a few days ago. Came back today and might be my new favorite spot. Sorry for posting a picture of plates with no food, but it was too good and we had to eat it all.
It was our first time and it won’t be the last one. We had an amazing time with my family. Mateo was very nice and welcoming , he was on top of everything. If you are planing to visit Miami Beach you must try this place, and please try the churrasco , the paella and the jar of sangria. You won’t regret it
Excellent service and tasty satisfying food. We ventured to go here without a reservation on a Friday night, braved the line outside, and eventually got a good table by the windows. The server was very helpful and didn’t make us wait to place our orders, even though the place was packed. I had the ropa vieja, my wife had the vaca frita, we varied our sides to share. I noticed vegetarian options on the menu, for those who prefer that. The coconut flan was excellent, and a small enough portion for us to handle after a heavy meal. Closing the evening with a decaf cortadito that was fantastic. This place is a must try in the area.
This is our first time visiting Sazón Cubano. We made reservations for 6:15 through Resy and were seated immediately upon arrival. We chose to sit outside on the patio since we're having such great weather. The restaurant has a great vibe about it. I ordered the Churrasco steak with black beans and yellow rice. My wife ordered lobster with mashed potatoes and veggies. We both ordered Sangria to wash it down with. Everything arrived in a reasonable time. My steak was amazing, full of flavor and tender. My wife's lobster was a decent size, tender and sweet. Live music at 7 topped off the evening providing some great energy. Our server, Jessica, was impeccable. If you're not familiar with the area, convenient paid parking can be found across the street from the restaurant at the public car park.
Great food. Definitely make a reservation! We waited regardless and the food for worthy. My only complaint was being seated where I was being dripped on from the umbrella due to rain. There wasn’t anything else available.

Great vibes and lots of reso availability on resy but we walked in and they try to get us to sit at the bar even when there are free tables? There is a smaller area with AC and the patio is outside with fans, thankfully we were able to get a table in the AC. Food is very flavorful and glad we tried it. Wish the cubano $15 had more pickles and mustard. The chips portion I also found lacking. Paella was very tasty and small was enough for 2 to share - $30.
I stayed at a hotel just one block away and visited Sazon Cubano three times during my week in Miami. While my first two visits left me feeling a bit uncomfortable as a solo African American woman traveler, my third visit was truly special thanks to my server, Sahili. She was welcoming, kind, and genuine—her warmth made me feel seen and appreciated. Kindness is free, and she reflected it beautifully. The food is consistently good. I’ve enjoyed breakfast Palomilla with eggs, empanadas, and the guava pastry (which is especially amazing). Overall, the food is worth coming back for, and Sahili’s hospitality turned my last visit into the highlight of my dining experience here.

This seems like a really nice place for a lunch date. I went and ordered the stuffed steak, I really wanted shrimp, but they don’t have it as a side so I ordered the appetizer and that was really THE highlight for me. They were fresh & had good flavor. I would definitely get them again. As far as the salmon and the stuffed steak, I wasn’t a fan of either. They both lacked flavor so, I requested a side of seasoning and they don’t have seasoning in the back, only salt and pepper, which could be the issue. The Tres Leches Cake, Piña Colada & the Shrimp were a 10/10. I highly recommend those.
Honestly the food was great 5 star, the service was good, just giving 1 star for the host that made us wait over an hour outside with tons of empty tables outside and inside… He was also rude, we had to go look for a table ourselve to show him where we can sit. Created a fake line for no reason Edit: we came back but im updating my review because it was maybe a mistske that night but the food and service id great
It was genuinely a very nice experience, with flavorful food and a welcoming atmosphere. One quick note before you go: if you plan to visit during peak hours, make a reservation. Otherwise, you will find yourself in a rather amusing waiting line with no names, just a headcount of your party. The place, like the presentation of the food, does not try to be fancy, so it is probably not the right spot for an Instagram food post. But the flavors are where it shines. I was able to try several dishes, including the Vaca Frita, both steak and chicken, some pork chunks, and arroz con pollo. The flavors linger, and you will want to come back, period. The only miss was the breaded chicken, which was quite bland compared to everything else. They even have live music on certain days in the open area, which adds to the charm. Great ambiance, great service, and great prices. Strongly recommended.

First of all, I’m an old customer. After the restaurant got bought, renovations took place and it looks better. However, the actual manager is very rude to customers…very disturbing to watch him “work”. They still sit 2 people for a meal on a bistro table that barely fits one person: I refuse every time. The serving plates alone take more than half of the table! Servers are nice and the food is okay. But it was better before…
Excellent service by Jessica. Affordable prices but the food was not so good. I had the piccadillia with yellow rice and black beans. The piccadillia was dry and lacking in flavor. The yellow rice had hard pieces of rice in it, probably was scraped off the bottom of the pot. The black beans were good. Also had a well made mojito which was garnished with a sugar cane stick. All in all, would not return since it does not compare to Padrino's.
We came here just to grab coffee and pastries for a light snack. It took an hour and 20 minutes. Our first coffee and the pastries came out normally. It then took 3 different attempts to get a second coffee. Our normal waitress took the order for the second coffee, 15 minutes goes by. A different waitress comes by to ask if we need anything else, I asked for a coffee, she disappears for another 15 minutes, still no coffee. The original waitress returns and asks if we need anything, so I ask if they ran out of coffee. She says she forgot. Coffee comes out 15 minutes later. We finish, and then ask for the check. This also takes 15 minutes and a second reminder. Serious consideration was given to if I needed to go up ring ourselves out at the front. Maybe we visited on an off day, but it's these types of experiences that make you feel bad about leaving tips for service.
Well to start of the host told us there where no available seats that it would be a 15 min wait so we asked to wait by bar then asked again how long it would be then because we agreed to wait by bar the wait time went up to half an hour then when I complained it was available immediately. The asked for the red snapper because I’ve been wanting it being that I’m at beach it would go great with atmosphere but this place totally got it wrong they just serve you a fried fish which don’t even think it was a red snapper no taste what so ever no prior defrost or seasoning my wife had the ropa vieja and needless to say also rough and not tasty would I will not recommend and definitely won’t be back ! Very bad service and the food not at all worth the hassle and trip !and the coffee is not good and they will try to give you cold milk with coffee to not even try !

We used to come here every year and have a good breakfast every morning in this place. But this year, everything changed, this was horrible experience. Terrible service! We waited for our order for over an hour. They mixed up the order, and we ended up getting the wrong food. And the food went really bad. The food used to be very tasty here, but they changed the concept or the chef, and it's no tasty. So sad. We will never come back here and we don’t recommend it to anyone.
We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. My family and I were turned away solely because we were wearing beach attire, despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty at the time. The host told us there were no reservations available, which was clearly untrue given how many tables were open. Rather than being honest about a dress code (if one truly exists), we were met with dishonesty and discriminatory treatment. There are respectful and transparent ways to enforce policies—this was not one of them. We felt judged and unwelcome, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant outing. I would not recommend this place to families or visitors looking to be treated with basic courtesy and honesty.
I’ve been a loyal customer here for 5 years and have had many family dinners and celebrations here. It’s always been my local spot, which is why my experience on 3/6 didn’t sit right with me. My wife and I came during a slow period and there were several open tables both inside and outside. When we arrived, we asked if we could sit on the outdoor patio but were told all the outside tables were reserved, so we were seated inside. About 30 minutes later, I noticed multiple parties—many coming straight from the beach—being seated outside. At one point I even heard the host ask a couple if they preferred inside or outside seating, which was confusing since we had just been told everything outside was reserved. Even when we finished eating and paid our bill, there were still several outdoor tables empty. As we were leaving, I asked the manager why we couldn’t sit outside. He said the restaurant had over 35 reservations and that all tables were reserved inside and out, despite the many empty tables visible. As a local who has supported this restaurant for years, it honestly felt like they prioritize tourists over locals. That’s disappointing, because when tourist season slows down, it’s the locals who keep places like this running. There are plenty of other Cuban restaurants in Miami that value their local customers, and I’ll be taking my business there instead 🤷♂️. Thank you for the many years of good food I guess.
