I can’t say enough good things about this place! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Beyond the sushi, we also tried the sea bass, fried rice, and a few other dishes — and every single bite was outstanding. The quality, attention to detail, and balance of flavors really stood out. Service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. This spot is definitely a new favorite for me and my friend. Highly recommend! 🍣✨

Double Knot opened about five and a half months ago in the former Wynwood Kitchen location, bringing Chef Michael Schulson’s Philadelphia concept to Miami. I visited with a friend for their Miami Spice menu, which offered a great selection — highlights from the full menu in a more curated format. The décor reminded me of being on a ferry, so I jokingly called it “the ferry to Okinawa,” with its Japanese-inspired touches and cozy layout. To the left, there’s a lively cocktail bar, while the right side opens into the dining area with a sushi counter where you can watch the chefs at work. The food was delicious — creative, flavorful, and with Schulson’s signature modern twist, a bit spicier than traditional Japanese fare. The staff was attentive, and the manager even stopped by for a friendly chat, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the sushi menu.

Absolutely loved my experience at Double Knot! The ambience and food quality were top notch. Jovan, the manager, was so sweet and really took care of me and my fiancé. I will most definitely be back. I would recommend the scallop, fried chicken and lamb chops!

Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Paul was our waiter and his attention and recommendations were amazing. Food was absolutely delicious, the ambiance is spectacular. Feels like you're in another city. Can't wait to go back, this might be my new favorite restaurant in the city.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An incredible night at Double Knot. Nick was an outstanding server, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. He guided us through the menu with spot on recommendations, paced everything perfectly, and made the whole experience feel effortless and fun. You can tell he truly cares about hospitality. Chef Russ absolutely crushed it in the kitchen. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. The execution was flawless. From the sushi to the hot plates, everything came out perfectly timed and elevated. Huge thanks to Nick and Chef Russ for making it such a memorable evening. We will definitely be back.

I tried this place this week and got to try different types of sushi which were all excellent. We were able to get seated very quickly and service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant has great ambiance and it makes for a great night out. Great place to stop by when in wynwood

Camila was an excellent server. Had all the knowledge we needed to get through the menu with ease. Excellent Japanese style food. Amazing atmosphere and the restaurant looks great.

Double Knot is hands down one of the best cocktail spots we’ve visited. Tucked away with a stylish, intimate vibe, it’s the kind of place where every detail feels intentional—from the lighting and music to the creative presentation of the drinks. The cocktail menu is full of unique flavors, and each drink feels like it’s been crafted with real care. We tried a couple of their signature creations and were blown away by how balanced and flavorful they were—delicious without being overdone. Pair that with attentive, friendly service and you’ve got a perfect night out. Whether you’re starting your evening here or making it the main event, Double Knot sets the bar high for cocktails in Miami. We’ll absolutely be back to explore more of the menu.

For someone who is obsessed with Japanese food, I couldn’t get enough. Our server was Paul and everything he recommended was spectacular, I had the yellowtail carpaccio & you could tell it was fresh, it’s one of my favorite dishes in general so for it to be this good was amazing. We had some robatayaki which was delicious, we tried the Kobe Beef, Hangar Steak and ribeye then we topped it off with the black cod fried rice which was again DELICIOUS. Will definitely be back here especially for their delicious espresso martinis!

🔥 Double Knot = instant obsession. Came for happy hour, stayed for the chef’s choice omakase, left in a full-blown food coma (no regrets). Service? Impeccable. Chichi 📣 deserves her own Michelin star—she knew her stuff, kept the vibe light, and made the whole experience feel VIP. The tasting menu is no joke: 10 courses + soft serve = pure bliss. Every dish hit the mark (okay… maybe not the cheesesteak bao for me, but hey, 9 out of 10’s not bad). The vibe? Dark, sexy, and perfect for date night or just feeling like the main character. The bar’s a stunner. 💡 Pro tip: Happy hour fills up FAST—get there early and claim your throne.

I went there tonight with a friend for Miami Spice, and it was such a great experience. Paul, our server, was absolutely amazing—very attentive and patient while explaining all the menu options, which made it easy to decide. The food was excellent; I highly recommend the beef tenderloin and the tuna tartare. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Ok, what a surprised! Stepped into an escape from all the noises in the heart of WynW. Brandon was our server & he was amazing alongside w his team + mgnt. All was uber sweet! We tried a variety of this from the menu. The dragon loop drink was delish!

I really enjoyed the food and service… I ordered the mushroom fried rice , shishito peppers and edamame dumplings plus vegetarian rolls and really liked the fluffy light rice . The decor is beautiful as well I just didn’t like the loud noise from too many people and music but overall great

The restaurant is very beautiful with a great ambiance. Our server was very kind, and the food was truly delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I was only a bit disappointed that we couldn’t order the Miami Spice menu unless the entire table participated, and even then, everyone had to choose the same items, which wasn’t ideal. Aside from that, everything else was excellent.

A
Ari Bradshaw

Great food, great service. I had a really good mushroom appetizer and my whole party had a great variety of sushi rolls. Very Vegetarian and gluten free friendly but if you're a vegetarian there's only one roll available so definitely get some of the non-sushi options.

Had such a great dinner at Double Knot tonight. The food was incredible, but the service truly elevated the entire experience. Nick was professional, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and everything was paced perfectly throughout the meal. He was also training a new server, Michael, who was very personable and down to earth. Even while learning, Michael was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. It was great to see such strong teamwork and professionalism. Outstanding hospitality all around. We’ll definitely be back.

You can get good sushi in many places in Miami. But few places have the same quality, and warm service that Double Knot delivers. Our chef tasting experience was top-notch. Tuna Toro, Salmon Belly, Karage, Kobe beef and Chilean sea bass- our thanks to chef Ross chef Edmond and Camila for a memorable night.

C
Connie

Our favourite dishes here were their robatayaki—a skewer with teriyaki sauce. Among them, we particularly enjoyed ribeye scallions, shishito peppers and miso eggplants. Their original cocktails were also mesmerizing. My personal favourite was the alpine knot—very fruity and smooth, not too sweet. The service was also pleasant and the server was very friendly. I would be happy to come back here again, next time perhaps for happy hour, to enjoy their cocktail menu along with some skewers!

The restaurant has a very chill atmosphere, and the service was amazing, from the hostess to our server everyone was so nice and very helpful. Our server made sone great suggestion on the menu and all the food was really good. Our favorite dish were the wagyu soup dumplings and the mushroom fried rice. The drinks were also very good. Overall it was an amazing experience and we plan on coming back!

Honestly surprised. I came in with very low expectations, left out with a good impression. This place is a great spot for good food and laughter but as expected it isn’t necessarily an authentic Japanese restaurant. Nevertheless, still good and worth your money.

It was absolutely wonderful! We went here for a friend’s birthday celebration. We were five couples so a total of 10 diners. The service was top-notch. Our waitress, Mayra was professional, attentive, friendly and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere was inviting, yet trendy; just a beautiful space. Now on to the food because it was absolutely delicious! We opted for the blind tasting menu and it was superb. Every dish was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and tasted divine! You can tell they use high-quality, fresh ingredients. I can honestly say there was not one dish that I did not like. The cheesesteak bao was my favorite, but every dish was perfectly prepared and so tasty. The drinks were delicious as well. The chef even came by the table to greet us. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone we know. A true gem!

Came here with my girls to catch up and we had an excellent time! We got such great recommendations and the vibe of the restaurant was very moody yet so sophisticated . I would definitely recommend this restaurant for their Miami Spice menu or regular menu. Kudos to the chef for the food presentation.

When deciding on a dinner spot for Saturday night, I recalled all the videos I saw highlighting good miami spice spots, and how most, if not all of them, included Double Knot. So, Double Knot it was. And what a great choice that ended up being. We were sat right away by the friendly host stand after providing our name. And the friendliness continued for the rest of the night with our waiter, Paul, who was super kind and attentive. He told us all about the Miami spice menu and we got to ordering. We got the scallops, beef tenderloin, Japanese fried chicken, duck scrapple bao bun, yellowtail carpaccio, black cod fried rice, and miso caramel soft serve with mochi. If you think that sounds like a lot of food, it was. It was an awesome miami spice menu and the food was amazing. The scallop was perfect and had a beautiful light char. The yellowtail carpaccio tasted fresh and sat in a delicious vinaigrette. The duck scrapple bao was also awesome; the bao bun itself was so soft and the duck had a nice texture to it. On top of the fantastic food, the vibe of the restaurant was nice too, relaxing yet classy. Everything was a home run. We will definitely visit Double Knot again.

I don’t leave reviews often but Double Knot truly deserved all the love. I’ve been a long time fan of their Philly location, so when I saw their Wynwood location while out on my trip, I knew I had to go. The entire experience was great. To start off, the food is perfection. They have classics on the menu but also some new Miami specific dishes which we loved. The staff was so friendly and gave us some great recommendations. The atmosphere was a big plus. Intimate enough for a date night but lively enough for a group night out. My partner and I talk about Double Knot often and have already planned our next trip back.

Beautiful restaurant with good food but the service is really slow. It seems that they assign only a waiter to each table and they don’t even care if you are trying to call them if they are not your waiter

Double Knot Miami was an absolute standout. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was on point. Stylish, energetic, and welcoming. The food and drinks were incredible across the board, but what truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Sonny. Sonny was the perfect mix of attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun. He picked our entire meal, timed everything perfectly, and made us feel taken care of. You can tell he really cares about the experience, and it shows. If you’re going to Double Knot, do yourself a favor and ask for Sonny. Amazing spot, amazing service—we’ll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful night here. The atmosphere was great, our server Sonny was fantastic, and the food was incredible. Sonny met every need of ours and crafted a spectacular selection of dishes for our meal. He is bilingual, and made everyone in our group feel heard and respected. I don’t mean this lightly, he was the best server I’ve ever had. Overall 10/10 experience, we set up another reservation the same night.

Double Knot in Wynwood was such an amazing experience. The place is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere makes it perfect for a special night out. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Wagyu steak was incredible, super tender and full of flavor. We also had the mushroom fries, rice, sushi, Wagyu soup dumplings, cheesesteak bao, and edamame, every dish was amazing and very well prepared. The service was great and the whole dining experience felt special from beginning to end. I truly loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Went here for a date night, first time here as well, and our server Nick was a gem! We had the Yellowtail Carpaccio, Edamame Dumplings, Broiled Oysters, Two rolls, Beef Tenderloin, and Japanese Fried Chicken. Everything was presented beautifully and was so delicious. Will say we should’ve gotten the meat rare instead of medium rare but still delicious nonetheless. Lovely wynwood outing if you want some quality Japanese food. Emphasis on having an amazing waiter! If possible ask for him!

This is another really cool option in Wynwood for food and drinks. They have a tasting menu for $68 bucks which is really interesting. 10 plates, 4 courses and you get a taste of everything. Really good. The wagyu dumplings were my favorites and their house made sorbet is awesome. Really worth the visit.

Delicious! Sat at the bar, did the tasting menu. LOVED IT. I love that we were able to pick and try so many different dishes. Each was so good and tasty! We had Mezcal Sour that was so deliciously made by our mixologist/bartender, Stefano who actually was having a birthday as well, he did a great job checking in on us and giving us recommendations and making the best drinks. Will definitely return! This was the perfect place to come with an out of towner. Made me look good 😊

Last night was my 3rd visit. I went here the first time and I loved it so much that I've suggested it everytime friends asked where we should eat. They have a chef's menu where u get 1 item per category. All 3 of my visits I was never disappointed. Highlights are the wagyu sushi, the pork belly and the beef skewers. The dumplings were amazing. My favorite is the sea bass. Melted in my mouth and the flavor was great. I paid a little over $80 for my part and that is an amazing price for everything that I ate. Let me not forget to mention that the service was impeccable. Sonny, knew his stuff and his food suggestions were spot on. This is a place that u will definitely come back to.

You can find Double Knot in Wynwood near the Wynwood walls and once you're inside it really does feel like you travel to a warm, welcoming, home. The service is beyond amazing, the tables are spaced perfectly throughout the restaurant and just a comfortable vibe overall. The happy hour here has tons of selection and is a great way to give this spot a try to find out what you like on the menu. Phenomenal spot for lunch and dinner, learned from the waiter they have another location in Philly and it is super successful. I don't see this spot going away anytime soon, I'll definitely be back for more soon. The photos don't do it justice but make sure to check them out below.

My new favorite place in town that I love bringing all my friends to come try, The food is outstanding and the service makes it even better. I love how personable everyone is from the Front Desk host to the general manager Collin doing table touches. I’ve been lucky enough to have been taken care of by Nick or Nazareno every single time that I’ve came by coincidence and they never fall short of amazing. Today my server was Nick and my guests loved every dish and he even surprised us with some soft serve ice cream, which was delicious! Thank you for everything 🩷🩷

My new favorite restaurant in Miami. The ambience is classy; the food is ambitious, unique, and exciting; and the service is fantastic. It's really difficult to find a great restaurant in Miami but dk really is a hidden gem. My favorite dishes were the lamb cooked on the robatayaki grill (as well as ribeye skewers with scallion); the charcoal grill flavor is fantastic. Moreover, the dk roll and tuna tartare were delicious - the fish quality is among the best in the city and flavors were well balanced. Most of all, I left craving these dishes again the next day - which is clearly the best way to tell how amazing this place is.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I were celebrating his birthday, and the staff made our night incredibly special. We decided to do the Miami Spice - Chef’s Selection and it was absolutely incredible. Our server Paul and the rest of the staff were so kind, attentive, super understanding and accommodating of our table’s dietary restrictions. Every single dish was so tasty and he even brought us an extra to try (only one of us was allergic to shellfish). Will absolutely be coming back!!! And recommend asking for Paul for the best special service :)

Great find for those who want to try a lot of different things. We did chef's choice 10 course menu and it was amazing! First I eat abnormal amounts of food and even I got full, we had to take some to go, so be prepared for a nice treat. Second, actually every course was great in its own way, we had our favorites such as tuna tartar, duck legs, wagu dumplings, but everything was really good. Third, you get all of that for a very reasonable price, which is like a breath of fresh air in Miami. It gets very busy (no wonder) so make a reservation. The bar is nice with dim lighting, they have a small sushi bar and plenty of tables in two main dining areas and the bar area too.

Dining with Paul was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we sat down, the service was warm, attentive, and professional—Paul made us feel welcome right away. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was prepared with care, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and high quality, and the balance of taste in each bite was remarkable. From start to finish, the meal exceeded expectations. What made the experience even more special was Paul’s genuine hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves, and it showed in every detail. My vacations are always food-centric and as I saw Double Knot came highly recommended in all my research, I knew I had to try it - and it did not disappoint. First & foremost, I have to mention the high quality service because everyone we encountered was extremely hospitable from the hostess to our waiter, Alonso. He was extremely knowledgeable and everything he recommended to us was a hit - especially the Uni Knot cocktail! The chef's tasting menu seemed to be a great deal, but we opted to order a la carte because my boyfriend isn't into fish. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, but our favorite were the cheesesteak bao buns. Overall would definitely recommend including Double Knot in your itinerary if you're a foodie traveling to Miami!

absolutely a 10/10. i’ve lived in miami for a year now and double knot has been on my list of places to try since. we finally went last night and wow i regret not going sooner. the service was fabulous, cocktails were good, and the food was astounding. every bite we had was a 10/10, and honestly there’s no way for me to pick a favorite or even a few favorites bc everything was absolutely amazing. also, it’s not super loud! we went around 7:30pm on NYE and we were able to have conversation just fine.

Double Knot was amazing all around - the food was spectacular and our server Mayra topped off the experience - her recommendations did not disappoint and she catered flawlessly to my boyfriend’s very specific dessert requests. Highly recommend all around.

The sushi/nigiri was great. All of the dishes were totally worth it BUT the fried chicken is s a MUST. And the ice cream swirls for dessert were really good too.

I visited Double Knot in Wynwood back in September to try their Miami Spice menu. Overall, the dishes were good. They were well-prepared and nicely presented, but nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. Everything felt fair, but there just wasn’t that wow factor or standout dish that would make me want to rush back. The cocktail offerings also leaned a bit on the derivative side, lacking the creativity you might expect from a spot in Wynwood’s vibrant dining scene. While it wasn’t a bad experience by any means, it also wasn’t particularly memorable.

Double Knot is a beautiful restaurant with an elegant and warm ambiance. The wait staff did a good job, Chichi had a great attitude and energy, the drinks were great and unique, order the double Knot for a little bit of fire showmanship, and the appetizers were very tasty. Generally Wynwood can be a bit rough looking, but the moment you cross their main door, you forget that you are in wynwood, and get transported to a fine dine location. They also have a private dining area with views of the Wynwood Walls!

I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially with all the hype around their Miami Spice menu, but unfortunately my experience left me very underwhelmed and disappointed. First, we hit traffic and I called twice to let them know we’d be about 15–20 minutes late; no one ever answered. When we got there at 7:20 for a 7pm reservation, the host told us we were late and now had 6 tables ahead of us. I explained that I had tried to call, but she dismissed it. The host seemed overwhelmed and unpleasant, which made for a frustrating start. We had to wait in a cramped bar/waiting area until a table ready. Once we sat, I was excited to try the Miami Spice menu, but the food was incredibly underwhelming. The portions were shockingly small. The plates in my photos are meant for two people, not one each. For a $200+ bill, leaving still hungry was disappointing to say the least. On the positive side, our server and ambiance were nice, but the lighting was really dim and made it hard to even read the menu. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the hype at all, and between the frustrating check-in, extremely tiny portions, and high bill, I don’t see myself coming back.

I went here about 2 months ago and did not have a good experience, TW roaches. First, my party was sat by the hostess next to the bar and after 10 minutes were told that we could not sit there by a manager. They made a show of trying to find us a table, while a quarter of the restaurant was empty. They ended up seating us at the sushi bar. Our server was great and we ordered. As the first courses come out we see a cockroach. We trap it under a bowl and inform the server and they grab with a napkin, apologize for the inconvenience, and offered to move us to a table. We stay put thinking it's a one off, but we see another one, the seats next to us also see one and we move to a table. We never saw a manager, the only thing they offered us was free dessert, with the worst mochi I have ever eaten in my life. It's a shame because the food was good, but I can never go to a place like this again that lacks basic cleanliness and customer service. They even sat people after us at the sushi bar knowing the issues with roaches there. Disgusting!

Another hyped-up Wynwood spot that’s overpriced and seriously underdelivers on both quality and service. We stopped in on a Friday around 7pm and were surprised they had a table available which, in hindsight, should’ve been a clue. The space itself is nice, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The restaurant describes itself as modern Japanese, which here seems to translate to low-quality fish, sloppy rolls, and nigiri that literally fall apart when you try to pick them up. Nothing we ordered stood out. The uni and ikura were skimpy, poorly presented, and lacked freshness. Service was equally disappointing. Despite the restaurant being only lightly occupied and having plenty of staff on the floor, dishes came out painfully slow and completely out of sequence, as if no one bothered to look at the order as a whole. The cod rice was greasy and flavorless, and the mushroom rice wasn’t any better. Overall, the experience didn’t match the price point. With so many genuinely great options in Miami, this is one we won’t be returning to.
