Grand Cafe is highly recommended for breakfast, especially the coffee, which is made by skilled baristas and has an intense flavor. The staff, including Agustina and manager Akapela, are friendly and provide excellent service. Some found the music too loud and one breakfast was disappointing.

Opinions de Grand Cafe Miami
Local Cafe with decent healthy breakfast and lunch options and a basic cool vibe or atmosphere. I was excited to find out they have a Gluten free option available (Gluten Free Toast), which is not listed on the menu. I ordered the Shakshuka with Gluten Free toast and a Matcha Latte. The Shakshuka is basically 2 over easy eggs baked in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce. But it’s not too spicy and more savory. Tastes delicious. They even drew a cute little bear 🐻 on my matcha latte (see pic). I’m visiting South Miami Beach for the weekend and will definitely be coming back here.
Food was good and the portions were big. The coffee was fantastic as well. Great place to people watch and enjoy the morning
Food is fresh, decent sized portion if you’re slightly hungry along with fresh ingredients, clean location & welcoming staff. Highly recommend & their cold coffee was honestly amazing. Can’t wait to come back😊
Very nice café. The staff was very friendly and sweet, we felt welcomed. The food is delicious and portions are huge. We’ve got Miami Beach Sensation and César salad, both taste very nice. Burekas are great too, especially the cheese one. We’ll definitely buy more if passing by. I’ve got a cup of good cappuccino finally (it’s hard to find in US)
I just have something to say about this place: I love it! My favorite place to have a breakfast in Miami Beach. They have a very varied menu and dishes that combine flavors that you don't usually find in the typical cafes in the area. my favorite dishes from this place are the Miami beach sensation and the spicy tuna toast🤌🏽 **I wish they could have more options to drink
Such a cute place to have breakfast! Was visiting Miami only for 2 days and we found this place and we loved! The food was also delicious. We had the Salmon Avocado toast with salad. The staff was very welcoming. Also to be even better it’s only one block from Miami Beach, totally worth the visit!
Good place for breakfast close to Ocean drive. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating . The shakshouka n the egg came with pita bread & there were healthy breakfast bowls too in the Menu.
This cute little cafe located not too far from Ocean Drive. After unable to find an open restaurant for breakfast I found this perfect little gem I ordered a two-egg breakfast with an Israeli salad and toast with a slice of freshly baked banana bread and coffee. The banana bread is off the chain good. So moist and not super sweet, OMG. GOOD Everything is made fresh pastries, breads, salads. Very impressive I'd eat here all the time. Service was great I didn't wait even 5 minutes for my eggs toast and salad friendly young lady at the counter it's very modern clean Airy very impressive I would highly recommend this little spot. While all the other Hotel restaurants are closed at 8:00am for coffee n breakfast this little gem isn't. A must stop in
As a coffee shop manager with discerning taste, my visit to Grand Cafe left a positive impression. Their lattes were skillfully crafted – creamy, full of flavor, and adorned with appealing latte art. I appreciated the attention to detail in the preparation. In fact, the experience was so satisfying that I indulged in two lattes. The friendly demeanor of the staff added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. Grand Cafe is certainly a place I would recommend for fellow coffee enthusiasts who appreciate high-quality brews and a welcoming atmosphere. Thanks, guys! I'll be back for sure.
Very healthy, very fresh and artisan. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The açaí bowl, salmon bowl, and iced latte really tasted great and was made from fresh ingredients. The interior and atmosphere is beautifully designed. Overall this is a true gem!!💎
We are here because we had to evacuate our home due to the current hurricane. I walked to this shop and ordered a large coffee. After realizing I couldn't pay, they sent me out with coffee in hand, telling me to just come back and pay later if I could. I did go back and pay. The ladies here are amazing, and coffee was perfect!
This spot is a couple blocks from south beach, it has multiple good vegetarian options, it has espresso drinks. I think it's one of the better spots to eat if you're a vegetarian on South beach not looking for fine dining.
Absolutely worth calling in for a coffee. Great service
Nice little cafe with vegan options. The smoothie and fresh juices are delicious but served in plastic cups and plastic bottles. The tofu bowl was very good but could have had more vinegar. We were glad to get a healthy breakfast. Thanks
Grand Cafe is a must-visit for foodies in the area. The chefs here are clearly passionate about their craft, and it shows in every dish they create. I had the pleasure of trying the duck confit, and it was one of the best meals I've had in ages. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying puree was silky and smooth. The service was also excellent - our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. I can't wait to come back!
Super friendly staff, nice coffee and lemonades. Went twice for brunch and tried different breakfasts—everything was very tasty.
The best breakfast I have ate for a while! So fresh, not too heavy feeling after the food, delicious!!! the cafe mocha was so good!! even my baby ate here, which is not usuall for her to enjoy the food in such way... I wish we had this cafe in maryland :)
Really great food (and I’m from NYC with high standards), service is perfect and efficient, food comes out so fast somehow, espresso coffee is extracted expertly, baked goods are fresh and well-made, lots of spacious seating indoors and outdoors… I’ve come here 3 days in a row and counting.
The Grand Cafe is one of the best French restaurants in the city. The menu is extensive and the quality of the food is unbeatable. The escargot is always a favorite of mine, and the steak frites is cooked to perfection. The staff are also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and can help you find the perfect dish to suit your tastes.
This quaint little coffee shop with its friendly staff has quickly become a favorite place of mine to sit and read my book on saturday mornings. They have a delicious salmon and cream cheese bagel, loaded with capers, red onions and a slice of tomato as well. Very, very delicious. The hummus was soft, silky, freshly made that day and served with plenty of piping hot pita bread wedges to dip into the generous bowl of hummus. But my all-time favorite has got to be the coffee! On the same level as Horton's coffee in Canada and the espresso they have is definitely on the same level as the best italian espresso you can possibly imagine. The espresso is rich and bold in flavor, just a tinge of sweetness to go with the deliciously heavy bitterness that all true espresso-lovers value. The ice-coffee is amazing. Some places, it tastes watery, but not at Grand Cafe. Here, it is rich, smooth and almost as strong as an espresso. Have it black, or have it with a shot of whole milk, and it becomes a whole other layer of wonderful. The cafe itself is bright, naturally lit by the Floridian sun shining through the large windows. Softly twirling fans keep the room airy, and the seating is comfortable inside or outside. The ambience is very peaceful and gentle. Whether you live here or you are visiting and want a great coffee before a day of sightseeing the city, I can only recommend you start your day the right way, with an espresso and a bagel at Grand Cafe.
November 14, 2025 Cabel is amazing his customer service is impeccable. The hospitality words are not enough. This is my 3rd time This year traveling to Miami for special occasions. Thank you for my croissants very fresh. Wishing the staff all the best!
If you like açai bowls, you have to come to the Grand Café. May be the best one I’ve ever had and I am an açai bowl connoisseur! I think they even make their own granola. If you sit in, it is served in a real coconut shell. I haven’t tried anything else, but the sandwiches, salads, pastries, and coffee all look really good. I highly recommend this place.
This place is absolutely incredible! Was visiting Miami with my girlfriend for a few days and we went to this coffee shop every morning. The chai latte and iced vanilla latte were consistently perfect. The food was also delicious. We had the Shakshuka and Miami Beach Sensation, both were sooo good. On top of that, the staff is amazing. Very welcoming as soon as you step in, positive vibes, and they make sure you’re fully taken care of. Will be coming back again on our next visit!
Grand Cafe Miami is my favorite brunch spot here in South Beach. It’s such a cute and cozy cafe and the food is super healthy and delicious. The girls at the front are very friendly. Special thanks to Kristal for her incredible service and positive vibe. She definitely made our experience more special. I would highly recommend this place!
Absolutely gorgeous . The inside looks like a set if a romantic movie scene and the drinks are out of this world . The real reason i am leaving a review is the cashier . (Shout out to sophia) she is the reason i felt so comfortable and accepted here . One of the best customer service i have seen in the states . We had a warm chitchat and that woman deserves a raise . Thank you ❤️
This cafe boasts a truly wonderful atmosphere and a prime location. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service throughout my visit. However, I must mention that the egg served with my meal was unfortunately undercooked. Despite this issue, the coffee itself was rich and flavorful, a definite highlight of the experience. I would likely return, but perhaps order something different next time.
Very cute coffee shop service was kind and great. I would definitely return.
Good food! Took a lot of time for our order to arrive and the guy that works there gave our food to different people and forgot about our coffee. Tnx tho.
5 stars for Nicholas! :) Zero Stars for Augustine. I visit this Cafe when i’m on holiday in Miami. Usually service is exceptional. Today’s experience was saved by Nicholas who was very patient and kind while suggesting items for me. I ordered the almond croissant, fruit bowl and matcha latte. The almond croissant was warmed and returned to me with a mountain of powdered sugar added. Unfortunately this sugar would not work for me and I asked if i could have it replaced with out the additional sugar which I did not ask for. Augustina informed me “we always add the sugar.” Interesting this to say as a TOURIST cafe. “We cannot give you another. We will just give you your money back we don’t have more” as i’m staring into the container with TWO more croissants. I then approached Nicholas with the concern who immediately made the switch for me. I appreciate his service first attitude and will continue to rerun when on holiday in Miami.
Loved dining at the Grand Cafe Miami! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They were also patient with all of our questions and made solid recommendations. The chai latte is delicious, just wish it came in a bigger size because it was so good and I wanted more. The americano also hit the spot. As for the food, the Shakshuka and pita was DELICIOUS!! It was flavorful, had the right amount of spices without being spicy and just an overall great meal. Highly recommend it. Just note that it is a large portion so either come with a big appetite or be prepared to share. The Croissant omelette was also delicious and if you add the smoked salmon, it takes it up a notch. There's a bathroom for customers that is clean and spacious. There are lots of seats to choose from and the overall experience is a good one.
Cute cafe across from Walgreen’s but wasn’t impressed with the food quality. It’s okay if you’re in a pinch but frankly my smoothie and tuna bowl (that was mostly brown rice) were just bland, which was disappointing for the price I paid ($40). The staff were friendly and attentive but the food here just misses the mark.
The Smoothiebowls were really good, especially the one with peanut butter which I can recommend. Also big portion sizes. The cashier/waiter did not speak English (only spanish) which is a disappointment...
Exquisito café. Buen servicio. La pastelería es óptima. El lugar es bonito y confortable pero la música un poco alta a mi gusto.
Açaí bowl tasted pretty good, was nicely assembled. Açaí wasn’t fully blended with a big frozen chunk in it. The fruit was fresh and nice though. It also seemed a little small for the price (~$14-15 after the charges). Egg bagel breakfast was disappointing, the bagel wasn’t good and tasted like a grocery store or an airport quick service bagel. Maybe it’s the New Yorker in me that expects good bagels and bread.
I had a cappuccino. It was very plain and I was not impressed. There are better options around within 500m. That being said the barista girl was friendly and nice.
Food was not the best and the coffee and matcha were not that tasty. Overpriced for what you get.
I got the omelette wrap and an oat milk latte and both were really good! Down one star because there was a $1.99 service fee and when I asked what it was for the girl laughed and said she didn't know. A $2 fee for what, just ordering?? Weird. And should be disclaimed if not in writing def by the workers. Down another star because the total came to $26 for just a wrap and latte - pretty expensive!
Has a cozy atmosphere, but the food was inconsistent. The shakshuka was flavorful and well-prepared, a definite highlight. However, the ahi tuna salad was overwhelmingly salty due to the high-sodium soy sauce, making it difficult to enjoy. While the location is great, the food preparation could use some refinement to match its potential.
I had the spicy tuna toast which was well marinated, but still half frozen. I waited a bit before eating it and then it was ok, but shouldn't be served like this. They only show you the sum when paying. Only after giving a full tip, they gave me the bill which is when I realized they already charged 10%. I didn't see this indicated anywhere. Didn't feel right, especially because service was very mediocre (when bringing the food, they kind of dump it on the table without saying anything) and the half frozen tuna. Won't be back.
Overpriced and meh. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US and in NYC a lot. So expect high prices and fine with it as long as the food follows. This place is way over priced and the food just plain mediocre. They automatically add a service charge and the service slow. We had a croissant egg sandwich. There were a bunch of chefs in the back, so though all would be nice a fresh. it came right out and was cold like it had been made yesterday. Just skip this place. Iced coffee came out after the meal. after I went up and reminded. Not sure how it is in business, but its south beach, so real hit or miss.
This place has potential if they focus more on the food. Their service is okay and location/vibes are great. I got a latte and it was very watery. The espresso tasted like instant coffee. The food is average and pricey.
Food either under cooked or over cooked service sucked coffee decent and ok was great but in other words don’t waste your time. Even the server swiped through the check out pad adding a way over the top tip which I had to change back to reality. Do not go
Horrible experience Icant believe this place has positive reviews I asked for iced matcha and it was made hot by mistake and instead of remaking I got the same hot matcha just w 3 ice cubes... plus there was no matcha only milk. We ordered breakfast bagels - completely tasteless. Bread is old, eggs have no salt pepper nothing, tomatoes tasteless. We locals who live around the corner and we will never come again. Only 2 stars for polite staff
Service was with an attitude - didn’t feel welcome. Decent coffee, food mediocre and overpriced. Lots of better places around that area
The café has very friendly staff and a fantastic location close to the beach, which initially set a positive tone. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. While it was freshly prepared, the flavors were unconvincing. I ordered a vegan açaí bowl, but it had an off-putting fishy smell that completely ruined the experience. On top of that, the prices are quite high, and the quality does not justify the cost. It's a shame, as the potential is there, but improvements in food quality and attention to detail are necessary.
We went to this cafe with some expectations looking at its 4.4 stars, but had a very disappointing experience. The good stuff - The location and ambience is great. There are ample breakfast and coffee options. The service is fast. The food however, was extremely bad. We had the vegan wrap and avocado sandwich. The vegan wrap had no sauce which made it very dry, the wrap itself was hard (and possibly stale) and no fun to eat. The avocado sandwich had just tomatoes and some avocado crushed between fat slices of bland, hard bread. The latte was average. I would not eat here again.
The waitress who served us was incredibly rude and unprofessional. From the moment we walked in she seemed annoyed and uninterested in providing good service. Breakfast bagel was decent, the chai latte on the other hand was disgusting.
I m really disappointed on my experience here! I got a shakshouka and it was testing like detergent, either of the pot that was cooked on or idk. Also, they have option for the tip 18%, 20% and 25%.. what they don't mention is that they also have gratuity 10%....
I ordered flat white coffee, it is double espresso with milk foam coffee. However they made a milk that smells like a coffee. I ordered additional shot of espresso to make this milk looks more like coffee, hover, this espresso did not seem like espresso, more like regular coffee with water. Guys, please revise your coffee machine settings and train barista. You have good coffee machine, however coffee is terrible.
Tried to visit. It was closed Tuesday November 8th at 3:54pm .....completely locked, chairs stacked, no staff. Call ahead, it may not be open or available anymore.
HORRIBLE SERVICE , takes forever when no one is inside and waitress gave us wrong plate and charged us for her mistake. NEVER RECOMMEND TO COME HERE. QUALITY IS HORRIBLE FOR PRICE
they don’t have Kosher certificate probably because they open in Shabbat. probably the food is good and seem like all the grand Cafe but this one specifically is not Kosher.
Scam place, suggested tip for 5 dollar coffee - that already includes 20% service charge - is 3 bucks (and it auto selects it if you just sign, even if you haven’t selected it)
I generally don’t bother to write reviews but this is really important for the safety of anyone visiting this place. We went there on 5th Feb 2024 to pick up some breakfast and coffee before leaving for the airport. We were 6 people and we ordered a lot of food and coffee. We picked up almost all bakery items so that we get to taste different things. We even got 6 coffees according to each one of our choices. The coffee was pathetically made, there was no coffee in it and the milk tasted weird. Let’s come to the food. We brought back the food to our airbnb and very happily started to eat. One of my friends tasted something weird in her croissant and when she opened it, to her shock there was ominous amount of mold/fungus (please see pictures for reference) inside it. She vomited as soon she realized what it was. After that everyone checked their food and we found little mold in few other stuff as well. We went back to them expecting at least an apology if not a refund. But they were so rude to us. They were giving lame answers and did not sound apologetic about it at all. They in fact went as far as saying that all items were freshly baked. None of us after seeing that mold in the food felt like eating anything throughout the day. In fact my friend got a bad food poisoning. All of us were feeling uncomfortable throughout our flight back home that evening. We did not expect a full refund or the items to be given again (would never eat anything from that place obviously) but at least if the servers were a little kinder in handling this situation, I wouldn’t be informing the world about this in this review.
I got the green and good smoothie…green but not good. Tastes of nothing tastes like literally foam ice. $30 for two smoothies that taste of nothing.
visited your café with my sister recently, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. When we approached the counter for my sister to order an iced coffee, the staff member taking her order did not greet us, did not smile, and maintained a stone-faced demeanor that was off-putting. After my sister placed her order, he didn’t say thank you or acknowledge her in any way. While my sister went to the restroom, another staff member brought the coffee to the counter. He also set it down without saying a word, no smile, no hello—again with the same unwelcoming demeanor. I said “thank you,” and he mumbled “you’re welcome” while walking away. We normally tip wherever we go, but the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality in this interaction made us feel uncomfortable and even profiled. The overall treatment was uninviting and left us with no desire to order anything further. I truly hope management addresses this behavior, because customer service and first impressions matter. A simple smile, greeting, or thank you can completely change a guest’s experience.
I used to love coming to this coffee shop back when it was under different ownership/management, but my experience today was extremely disappointing. When I approached the cashier, he didn’t acknowledge me or even say hello. I had to greet him first, and his response was a weak, unenthusiastic “hello” that felt dismissive and unwelcoming. That alone was off-putting, but unfortunately, the experience only got worse. While I stepped away to the restroom, my sister told me that another staff member dropped our coffee on the counter without a word, and the lid wasn’t even on properly — it spilled all over the counter. When she said “thank you,” the employee just mumbled a half-hearted “you’re welcome” and walked off. The complete lack of basic courtesy and professionalism was disappointing . Even more troubling, both my sister and I left feeling like we were being profiled because of our skin color. As former waitresses, we both understand what good customer service should look like and we always tip generously. But this was the first time I felt so disrespected that I did not leave a tip. Sadly, I will not be returning. What was once a welcoming place has become unprofessional, unwelcoming, and disappointing. The $8 coffee was trash.
🚨 Scam! 🚨The screen auto-selects a 100% tip when you get a 5 dollar coffee! Coffee was fine ngl To the workers working there: I hope you at least get to keep those tips! Presuming the owner sets up the tip machine, however, my guess would be that the owner is stealing tips from the staff. Or maybe the staff have to make the machine a scam because the owner is stealing the mandatory 20% service charge… and so the staff generally get no tips otherwise… except when people fall for the scam? Hard to say for sure, folks Would make a great low-stakes episode of Sherlock, this. Elementary scamming, my dear!
Horrible service the girl was super disrespectful i ordered one plate and told her I didn’t want the pancakes and then she brought me the pancakes and I said oh I didn’t order this but thank you and she said don’t worry about and it’s okay .. so I was like cool after when I was leaving I got approached saying I need to pay for the pancakes… making me feel like I’m stealing that was so so disrespectful and messed up .. it honestly really hurt for someone to feel that way. I worked in a restaurant industry for so long and me myself being a waitress I sometimes mess up ppl food orders too and I take accountability for it. but with this one the way they treated me and disrespected me saying that I needed to pay making me feel like I’m stealing .. wow horrible .. and when I encountered her I had two witnesses and yet she made a face to me .. it was messed up . I paid for my own food with dignity even though I shouldn’t be even paying for it. Honestly horrible service .. no disrespect towards the cooks .. they didn’t do anything but the boy in the girl front treated me .. with un professionalism and disrespect.. thank you guys for not taking accountability for ur own mistakes and throwing it on the customer.
