I’ve used to go here a lot more for lunch when I worked across the street. sucks that I work so far away now. But now that I started doing reviews I believe I should do it for them. And tonight the Dinner was great and the gentleman that served us was great. They got us chips and salsa soon as we say down which was perfect cause I was starving. I asked him soup or the taco salad and he said take the soup and was it worth it. Awesome

Craving Mexican? Run, don’t walk, to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Pinecrest! This family-owned spot hits all the right notes—warm vibes, amazing service, and food that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance. We had the shredded beef burrito and fajitas, and wow… flavor overload in the best way. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just plain delicious. Consider this your official sign to go!

I went here for food and enjoyed myself. I had the Camarones a la Mexicans and the quest fundido. . The chorizo quest is filling by itself. The shrimp came with beans, rice and some grilled veggies. It was more then filling for myself trying to drop a few pounds. will need to work this off because I am full. I do recommend

After two great experiences at Guadalajara I must and chips are always fresh and every dish we've tried had been great, with large portions. Specifically, the enchiladas are great, every variety including the mole'. The super nachos (pictured) were great, especially with shredded beef. Best of all the prices are reasonable! Perhaps not truly authentic Mexican food, but sometimes that's not a bad thing!

I was working down in this area today. When I checked on the route home traffic was so bad I decided to locate a restaurant and make the most of it and boy did I ever with this place. My waiter helped guide me to the perfect order, which was the burrito norteño with steak. I didn't want to eat too heavy in case I end up working some more, so he said I could get the burrito a la carte without the side items, so I did and it was excellent. I also got the sweet rice water drink which was a great compliment to the food. I'll definitely be back. I love really authentic Mexican food like this that feels made with love.

I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for 10 years. I thought after so much waiting I would be disappointed. I WAS NOT! Loved everything. The queso chorizo dip was yum yum. I am a MOLE lover. Mole is not for everyone. It was great! My son and his fiancee loved their lunch as well. Can't wait to go back! Thank you!

We Love Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. We've been coming about two years the service is excellent, professional, and the staff treat you like family. Best Restaurant in Pinecrest! Great food the enchiladas are incredible, fajitas, and soooo much more! Stop by anytime and get a taste of South Florida!🤗❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍

We have enjoyed going to Guardalajara for years now, we had always dined in. The food is good. 5 star service on dining in. This is a take out order another day, with a 1 star on service. What I don't understand why they gave me a hard time when I ordered out and asked if they had given me chips and sauce. They don't discount the take out menu and when you dine in they bring you chips multiple times 2 or 3 times. Take out orders should automatically include chips/sauce as part of the service. I didn't appreciate this experience.

My husband and I went here for our first time tonight. It’s literally the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Miami. We’ve lived here for years, but didn’t know it existed until recently. The food was delicious and the service was superior. I’ll definitely go back and recommend it to others.

Hidden gem in Pinecrest / Falls area!!! Me & my wife have been coming here for many years…..every Saturday now as of lately! Quite possibly the best fajitas & steak tacos in the area. German treats us like family when we come for lunch on the weekends. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant!!!

B
Belinda Niling Stohner

Had a quick snack here. It was everything you want in a local, family owned restaurant. The hard taco I had was OKAY, but the salsa is noteworthy. I'm still thinking about it the next day. Worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood.

T
Tarzan Ape

Great food & service. Chips were nice! Salsa was a little too watery, but had a nice taste. It is VERY LOUD inside. The space is open with no divisions or plants to absorb sound. Decor is lacking, too. They could go from a good place to an awesome place if they would address those issues - IMHO

I stopped by this Mexican restaurant because I had been meaning to check it out for a while now and finally had the chance to. I stopped in on a random Wednesday around 6 pm before the dinner rush and am I glad I did. Everyone was friendly. I ordered the Pink Guava Margarita and it was so delicious that I ordered a second. Jorge took care of me and was very attentive. He personally made the margaritas and they’re really really good. For food, I ordered the shrimp tacos a la carte and had them add a little cilantro on top. The tacos were flavorful and hot. Not spicy hot but temperature hot and fresh. Overall, a great experience!

Enchiladas with suiza sauce is perfection. Best table salsa. Reasonable prices for the area. Great portions. Could have better parking if anything. As for the customers..... why are you all so RUDE? The staff are literally berated all the time. I've been going for years, and wow, at least every other time I'm there, I can literally see and hear you guys being horrible. Do better. These people are nice, hard working, and make the best Mexican food in Pinecrest. You'd have to go to Homestead otherwise, so stop being rude and tip well.

I have loved coming to this Mexican restaurant for over 15 years. Always great fresh food. My server now is the manager. Family owned. Their pink guava margaritas are delicious. I mostly order their burrito nortengo which is made with carne asada and not spicy but they can add flair with you ask for it. Their fried ice cream is delicious. They have two flat tvs and they also have taco tuesdays.

Authentic & exceptionally delicious Mexican food. Consistent every time! Family friendly! It is my daughter’s favorite restaurant. The servers are friendly & efficient, some even remember our favorite orders. Even when it is packed, they turn tables quickly. The shredded chicken quesadillas are my go to. The best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in Pinecrest. The quality and preparation is consistent. Price point is more than fair. The service is great and staff are friendly. We come here at least once a week. I've had probably 80% of the menu.

From the moment you walk to the moment you leave amazing service. Very nice to the clients and the food is cooked authentic. If anyone reads bad reviews it is because they never had real Mexican food. Bad reviews is like cheap wine, people think they know but they are bitter. EL Pastor one of my favorite meats is amazing at this place along side the quesadillas. Haven't had any drinks here but they are great according to the people eating there that day.

This is a regular stop for over 16 years. The food is great and so are the friendly servers and atmosphere. You can’t beat the price for the quality of food your served. Not to mention the great margaritas and ice cold beer. Guadalajara is a great place with a family vibe. Love it!!

We love Gudalajara and keep coming back!! Their chips, and salsa, best in S. Dade. I am a quesadilla girl, and it never disappoints, always full of delicious fresh ingredients and presented as a generous portion. Always enough to take home. Family favorite is a chile rellano. Perfecto!! The staff, always friendly and knowledgeable regarding The menu. We LOVE Guadalajara!!

We love this restaurant. The people are always so kind, It feels like family. The prices go along with the times, but a tad better. The flavor of all their dishes are fantastic. My favorite are the shrimp tacos. The kind server we had today was German . Ask for him Bon appetit.

Love this place! We’ve been loyal customers for over 20 years and always have a great experience! The staff is amazing! They make you feel welcome and treat you like family! The food is always great and the ambience is relaxed and cozy! We have another Mexican restaurant right across the street, but we consistently choose to come back to Guadalajara! We absolutely love Yanina! She is wonderful. There’s not a time that I go in there that she doesn’t ask how my children are doing and how everybody’s feeling. We are so thankful to have this little spot in the area and plan on being customers for many years to come!

Sorry for messing up the beautiful enchilada plate. I started eating before the photo. The food is Historically delicious. I used too work nearby, and I would have lunch there twice a week. 15 years went by,,,,,,working and living far away, I just so happened to be in the neighborhood, and stopped by...Still the same. Awsome!!!!!!

I'm confused with all the bad service reviews. I've been dining here for 15+ years, and never ever have I dealt with a rude person. Everyone is always warm and inviting. Maybe its the bad attitude of the patrons that triggered a bad attitude which, being miami, wouldn't be surprising to encounter a lousy impatient customer. Food quality rarely fluctuates, but it's typically good. I'm not going to stop dining there just because of one bad day. Pfft, they are humans, too. Anyways, I think it's time to head over there again. =)

My kids and I have been to the homestead location and love it!! Today, I tried this location and OMG not only the food was GREAT but the presentation matched it! I can taste the good meat quality used in their dishes. Service was also top notch! Definitely going back

Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Our waitress was really nice and kept our drinks full. Two servings of Nachos and Salsa for us and we didn't have to ask.I highly recommend this spot. I had one of the combos which was a taco and a burrito. Really Good!

Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant is a no-frills, home-style spot. The vibe is family, the food is solid. I had a mixed fajita—great flavors, but come on, three shrimp on a $25 plate? They apologized, so I’ll give them a pass. Just skip the canned jalapeños next time. Still, the chips, guac, and genuine hospitality win. Prices are a bit high, but it’s a local family business. We’ll be back—because it’s got heart.

It was pretty good and we had a very friendly waitress. The super nachos were great - they use a thicker tortilla chip to ensure crunch on every bite! The only reason we didn’t give it 5stars, was because the tacos al pastor were a bit dry. Otherwise, good casual Mexican dinning in the Miami area

D
Dr. Jennifer Gebelein

This is a great find in Miami. It’s tucked away off US 1. We try to go on weekday nights because weekends are PACKED and the parking lot is small. There is inside and outside seating but not more than maybe 100 people could be served at 1 time. The food is great! The refried beans are smooth and rich, enchiladas are really tasty. One of my favs is the spinach enchilada with chicken, it has a light sauce on it and is soooo good. They do a molé sauce there and it’s good but a little on the sweet side for me. My son got the chicken tacos and finished them in about 5 seconds they were so good! The only thing that could be improved is the rice. The yellow rice is “eh”. But their servings are large, enough for take home at the end of the meal, servers are nice and overall the food is great!

We enjoyed the food. Very good flavor and portions. Waiters very friendly

This is an authentic Mexican place. Lots of choices. The chips with fresh salsa are fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the generous portion of enchiladas with three different fillings & your choice of sauces. I chose the salsa verde, also authentic. My husband had the al pastor, which he enjoyed. Very nice server, a bit slow but once order taken, fast delivery! Will definitely go again. Was so hungry, taking a photo didn't occur to me!

Don’t normally eat Mexican food but we were in the mood for Fajitas and tried this place. First off, the service was excellent and the waitress was very nice and informative. The salsa & chips were fresh & delicious. Service was fast and the fajitas were delicious and sizzling hot. My wife had fried grouper tacos that were excellent. Big portions too. Not fancy but reasonable prices.

G
G. Chris Boynton

Went for lunch. Took advantage of the lunch combo specials. If a place has the famous chocolate "Mole" I like to try it to see what they do with it. It is a hard sauce to make well. Theirs had an overpowering flavor of clove and sweetness. The rest of the meal was good but not great. The service was excellent. Ambience is simple and clean.

After craving Mexican for weeks, we decided to give Guadalajara a try! It happened to be a rather large group of us (12), and we were hoping to find a way to keep our group together - thankfully, the staff was eager to help and arranged a long table grouping for all of us. The restaurant tends to be a bit loud, as the layout is completely open and sound travels, BUT good food attracts a crowd. My husband placed a few orders of their homemade horchata and it was a big hit amongst our group. 10/10 from the horchata-first-timers. Also. Excellent salsa (a must) We ordered chicken tacos, and steak fajitas and were pleased with both. Definitely an American-Mexican cuisine but you can never go wrong there (plus finding Mexican food in Miami is a task in itself) Good experience & good service

R
Rick Martinez

Tasty Mexican food. No lie. My wife got the steak burrito and it was delicious. I ordered the three enchiladas with red sauce and it was pretty good. We both left their very stuffed. For me it was a little pricey, but this is Miami, after all. Not even Taco Bell is cheap anymore. We will definitely go back there and eat some good Mexican food in the future.

D
Dustin Greenwell

I stopped in for a quick lunch on the go. I ordered a chicken quesadilla because it's simple and I was in a hurry. The food was delicious and the portions weren't overly large but a good enough size. I personally thought it was a little overpriced at 18 bucks for a chicken quesadilla. So it's tax, tip and everything it was a $22 quesadilla appetizer.

J
Jerry Rudoff

Food was excellent.. Have been back several time. Food still very good but service was slow. Parking an issue on weekend evenings

K
Karina Rubiera

Super Nachos are super delicious! Especially with extra jalepeños and guac. And while you wait, the salsa and chips always hit the spot. We always ask for more. Servers are friendly and seat you right away. Food comes out when and as expected. Music is always fine, background music, not overbearing. Easy to eat and talk to your dinner party. Except for a few weeks ago, a young male server cranked up his Jesus worship music to 11 and went to town singing every song for almost my entire meal. I was not a fan. Felt like I was in church being told over and over to love and follow some random dude blindly when I just wanted to enjoy my nachos. He didn't read the room. Looked like he thought he was the only one there or that everyone was equally enthusiastic about the church music and/or his singing. Just before the check came, the racket was turned off and the regular tunes came back at a bearable level. Good riddance. Please never do that again.

P
Paul M

After reading all the great reviews, I was really hyped to try this spot. Walking in, the décor was a bit below average — but honestly, that’s not a dealbreaker for me. Some of the best authentic mom-and-pop Mexican restaurants keep it simple, so I was expecting the food to really shine. The food was fresh, which I definitely appreciate, but it was lacking flavor and didn’t quite live up to the expectations. For the price, I felt it was a little overpriced for what we received. That said, the service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and easily the highlight of the experience. Great staff, just hoping the flavors step up next time.

L
Lou Suarez

I had not been to Guadalajara in a long time, but it's a decent place for a good Mexican meal. We enjoyed our Mexican Plate and Camarones al Ajillo. Service was attentive and pretty fast, we went for dinner and spent the expected $30 p/p. It's a basic, rustic restaurant, which is fine. Parking is an issue with small parking lot. I would recommend this restaurant.

M
Marjorie Betti

The service is very good but the food was okay. We had the following items: Quesadilla Villa - shredded beef, Super Nachos - shredded beef, Chimichanga - shredded beef and chicken, and Chalupas- shredded beef. The Quesadilla was very good and the super Nachos was okay -- the chips were not soggy at all. The Chimichanga was okay but don't get the chicken it was too bland. The Chalupas was okay not that great. Overall very nice restaurant ambiance and great service but okay food.

N
N. Cano

Honestly, one of the worst tacos I’ve ever had. Very little flavor, very little filling and maybe 6 pieces of cube tomatoes. They are not even vibrant. Overall, the food seems sad and it is quite overpriced. Service is good though, the ladies are friendly.

J
Jacob Montes

Restaurant could use a little updating. Food was very good steak fajitas were delicious.

J
Jenessa Acevedo

The environment is nice and the sides are decent. I had ordered enchiladas with red sauce.. I was expecting it to be enchilada sauce but it was more of a tomato paste. One interesting think I noticed was that the margaritas are made with a wine instead of tequila. I’ve never heard of that. Definitely not authentic Mexican food but it’s closer than other places I’ve tried in the area. I’ll probably go back and try something different.

G
Gabriel Quetglas

Food is not what it used to be, service is very good, atmosphere is a subjective topic the place (because of the architecture is noisy by design) but customers are nice and educated people. It is worth to point that I didn't know tip was included in the check and requested to include some money, they show me there was already tip on the check, that's honesty.

C
Cleveland Ivey

Overall, very nice service. The staff was very polite and friendly. Even if they weren't our primary host, they were all friendly when we had a request and/or a question. The food was pretty good as well. Probably could've been a bit cheaper for the Chimichanga, but not a bad dish. The preparation of the dishes were not all that long which was nice. A very nice location and the atmosphere was good as well. Next time I go, I'll probably try the tacos but the Chimichanga meal wasn't bad at all. A bit thinner than expected but I think it was good since eating too much would've made me a bit sleepy and we had quite a bit more work to do that day.

P
Pamela Staggs

Food was good not great! Our server was just not on her job! She was sweet but the others had to fill in for her several times...the others pulled in as a team luckily for her! It was quiet no music for atmoshpere. And I've been here many times when food was better and there was atmosphere and servers were on their game! Good luck I hope it was just an off day for them...

K
Katjana B

The service was nice and the food tasted pretty decent, but.. both my mom and I woke up today very ill and that was our last meal of the day yesterday. Don’t know what happened, but otherwise the place was cute

K
Karim Sheikh

So....I expected better in terms of food, honestly. This is supposed to be an extension of Casita Tejas but the impression it left me was that they are disconnected. I got a large takeout order for Super Bowl Sunday and while what I got was correct, the beef fajita I ordered led me to re-use the Wendy's slogan, WHERE'S THE BEEF? It was maybe two or three pieces in the whole dish, with the rest consisting of onions and bell peppers. HOWEVER, while we waited, the service was very good; with friendly and attentive waitstaff. They even brought us water and chips, so their hospitality is a green flag. The venue is located in a strategic area and has a diverse menu; MAYBE dining in is better in this particular place? I hope so.

N
N A (Nicky Numbers)

It leaves a bad first impression when food takes for ever and then people that arrived after our table got their food first. Food tasted good but there were few pieces of meat mixed on a bed of onions on our fajitas. Too bad the place got potential but really bad service.

C
Chris Salerno

Flavor wise, the food was not bad, but not great. We had the steak fajitas and the steak tejano. Both were okay in flavor. Fajitas were on a metal skillet but were not really hot or sizzling. And the fajitas were just steak and onion, no peppers. The Steak Tejano was in a sweet tomato and onion "rancharra" sauce. The salsa for the chips had better flavor than it did. It was not very hot either when served. For the prices ($24 for fajitas and $23 for steak tejano) the portions and quality were just not there. Atmosphere was okay. Probably won't come back.

S
Steve Muñoz

Heard about this location from a few people. Was told it was a good spot for authentic Mexican and the 4 star rating from google convinced me to finally go. Unfortunately the food here was a total fail. Ordered lunch specials: ground beef tacos, chicken flautas and a side of shredded beef enchilada. Beef tacos were the only dish with descent flavor. The rice and beans were just ok. Everything else was bland. The “spicy” sauce on the enchilada was extremely mild. No limes or hot sauces were offered or served in our lunches. And the food looked more Tex-Mex than actual authentic Mexican. I write this review in hopes to steer people away because i honestly cant understand why this restaurant has good reviews. Please consider another restaurant for Tex Mex/Mexican.

K
Kalia Gil

Very disappointed, I should of known when there was no prices on menu. Super over expensive for what it is, food not that great, they charged 15$ for a side of guacamole!! No music, no atmosphere, service not too great, not worth what I spent! Never going back! Drive extra to homestead to get better authentic Mexican food and way cheaper!

A
Andrew Scruggs

I wish this place was better. Fajitas and tacos were disappointing. The restaurant smelled like sewage. Won't be back.

H
Hector Guevara

The food was sour, the beans were tasteless, and the price didn't match the quality of what I ordered.

First thing I noticed was that the Tacos are not authentic. Cheese, lettuce, and tomato are American and Tex-Mex constructs. Sure there are SOME kinds that have these condiments, but not every Taco! Second, the Service was really bad. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed. The house salsa is mostly tomato sauce and doesn't taste authentic. Last, the Menudo was good and so was the Caldo de Res. If I had to come back, I'd probably order one of those l. The Michelada is the worst one I ever had. Didn't look or taste like one, so I sent it back.

I grew up with this restaurant when it was FIVE STARS across ALL CATEGORIES. Not anymore. We spent $80 last night for 3 measly meals and a large chips and salsa (I had specifically been craving their tortilla soup, which I didn’t even order because it’s now $16 for a simple tomato broth and 4 cheap soup toppings). I’ve been annoyed for several years by their gradual shrinkflation and increasing “to-go container” charges, but when I didn’t tip 18% for our pick up order last night, the bags were thrown in my hands rudely and I was left, for the first time ever, to take my bags, alone, to my handicapped car in the parking lot. Go to Ernesto’s or Tiago’s. Guadalajara is no longer a “neighborhood favorite.”

The place was not very clean. We attempted to order food there, and when the wrapped silverware came out with bits of food on it, we immediately left.

God I wanted to like this place but it’s so bad. It’s soggy and flavorless. I wish they would dedicate more time to the quality of the meals. They put soggy lettuce in a tortilla and call it a taco. No flavor no seasoning no sauce even. Definitely don’t recommend. I wish them the best, hopefully they can find their touch like back then. FYI The place also smells dirty and that leaves a bad impression

I continue to have issues here. First time I came, I placed an order and decided to take it to go and they would not give me the free chips to go because they are only for people who dine in. Rude and ridiculous. Decided to not go for a while and then wanted to give them another chance so I went back tonight and pulled in at 9:05, opened the door and the manager Jessi ran up to me and said we are closed. I said when do you close, she said 9 which was 5 mins ago. Restaurant was practically empty with many workers all just sitting around. Place is declining and now we all know why, sad. And sad is also how I would describe the atmosphere, gloomy and uncomfortable chairs and tables. If you haven’t been, do not go. If you have, you know what I am saying.

The salsa is Tostito's (Medium), the ground beef is Taco Bells, and all for $18-$25 meals that make you think: "That burrito was NOT worth $20"

Very disappointed with this place. First time here and will not be back. The place looks nice and cozy which is why we stopped by. However, the service was terrible. From the first interaction with the manager we realized the service was not going to be great. Indeed, we had the menus thrown at the table by the manager who did not bother to introduce herself or give us a proper welcome. The waitress had a bad attitude and when asked about the menu did not know the items and even got upset at my grandma for asking. I understand everyone has a bad day and the job is exhausting but the attitude was unnecessary, especially to an older lady. The food was ok at best. We were not expecting a 5 star restaurant we just wanted a quick lunch but this was way below our expectations.

I use to order here all the time but the restaurant is obviously overcharging for take out and obviously giving small portions for take out food. I can’t believe I paid 20 dollars for these skinny tacos AND the corn tacos only had one layer, when they should have two layers. Are y’all really splitting corn tortillas in half to stretch food . Sad lol

The waitress was very friendly, but the food was mediocre at best not what you should expect from restaurant that they pride themselves to be Mexican. When be8ng seated they serve you chips and salsa (not fresh but from a bottle) and the guacamole not fresh at all looks like the one you buy from a grocery produce section. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. Skip this place

Not what I was looking for in tacos. I would have gone to Taco Bell and would have paid way less for these “tacos” but our waiter was nice and attentive. I will not be coming back though. This was $19 alone for three “tacos”, oh and —à la carte 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Guadalajara who?
