Lucali is one of those places that keeps it simple and gets it right. We sat outside and it was airy, relaxed, and honestly the perfect way to enjoy a New York pizza night without feeling cramped. The space feels unfussy and confident. Nothing overdesigned, just good energy and people there for the food. We ordered the Bianca and asked for hot peppers on one side, which was the right move. The crust is thin with just enough char and structure to hold that beautiful layer of melted mozzarella and ricotta. The Bianca is rich but not heavy, and the hot peppers added the perfect kick without overpowering the balance. Every slice felt intentional. The kale Caesar with chicken was equally solid. Crisp kale, well dressed, generous parmesan, and the chicken was cooked properly, which matters more than people think. It’s the kind of salad that actually holds its own next to the pizza instead of feeling like an afterthought. No pasta for us this time, and honestly we didn’t miss it. When the pizza is this good, you lean in. More on social media: @ratedbymaryam

My friends and I went the other night and had the best time. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing from start to finish. You can truly taste how fresh and high-quality every ingredient is - simple, perfect, and done right. The ambiance is so cozy and inviting, it made the whole experience even better. Our server kept raving about the pistachio tiramisu (apparently it’s the best), and I’m still mad at myself that we were too full to try it - that alone is reason enough to come back. Such a great vibe, incredible pizza, and wonderful service. Can’t wait to return (and saving room for dessert next time!).

All I can say is, wow! Tried getting into the Brooklyn location but the wait times were 3 hours. This past week | was down in Miami Beach and decided to give this location a try and I am so glad that I did! Not sure if it was because of the tropical storm but getting in was a breeze. No wait. We walked right in. Sat down and was greeted very kindly by waitress. Kept it simple and went with cheese. Legit the pizza was out in less than 5 minutes! Pipping hot and basil was super fresh! Their crust has a phenomenal chew and taste they put just the right amount of sauce, which is nice and acidic. I recommend using the hot oil. Make sure to ask for it when you get the pizza. Gives it a nice kick! Pizza was amazing and I enjoyed my experience start to finish. Was in and out within 30 mins. 100% recommend!

This spot in Sunset Harbour has such a better vibe than the madness of South Beach. It feels cool and dimly lit but super welcoming, not pretentious. Let’s talk about the food because that’s why you’re reading this. We ordered a ton of food, and honestly, there wasn't a single thing that I wouldn't order again immediately. First off, the Pepperoni Chips. Do not even think about skipping these. I don't know how they get them this crispy without burning them, but they are addictive. It’s like the best part of the pizza but just in a bowl. We also grabbed the Caesar Salad to start, mostly to make ourselves feel better about all the carbs we were about to eat, but it was legit. Super cold, crunchy romaine, and they don’t skim on the parmesan or the dressing. It hit the spot perfectly. Then the heavy hitters came out. The Chicken Parm... wow. I’d seen photos of it, so I knew it was big, but seeing it on the table is wild. It’s huge. But the crazy part is that it stays crispy. I hate when chicken parm gets soggy from the sauce, but this breading held up the entire time. The sauce tastes like it’s been cooking for days—super rich and tangy. And obviously, the Pepperoni Pizza. Look, I take my pizza pretty seriously, and this is hands down the best pie I’ve had in Miami. Maybe anywhere. The crust is thin and has that perfect "crack" when you bite into it, but it’s still chewy enough to be satisfying. The pepperoni curls up into those little cups that hold the oil, and the ratio of cheese to sauce is just right. The service was also on point fast, friendly, and they didn't rush us even though the place was packed. If you haven't been yet, just go. It’s worth the wait, it’s worth the price, it’s worth the hype. 10/10.

This is 5 stars +++ The pictures say enough. Several good pizzerias in Miami but this offers so much more. Calzones are the best, chicken parm, wings finished in the wood burning oven, meatballs are extraordinary, salad options and homemade desserts.

Lucali definitely lives up to its reputation as one the best NY Brooklyn style Pizza that you can get. I tried it with ham, pepperoni and sausage and it is probably the best pizza that I have ever had. It has a PERFECT balance of fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, on a slightly charred, crispy crust, hot from the oven. The meat was plentiful and perfectly complemented the base. It would be my go to pizza if it wasn’t so far from where I live. I went on December 27th, for lunch, and there was plenty of seating. Don’t follow the Resy availability (as it’s not accurate) or online recommendations that reservations are required and long waits as it isn’t as bad as what it says online. Just go!

A local guy told us about the place while walking a crosswalk. By far the best pizza I have ever had. Hands down. The flavor was so fresh. I pretty much could have eaten the entire thing by myself. It was definitely worth riding a bike across the island to enjoy it. They also had a live DJ playing music.

Amazing thin, crispy, and simple pizza! Barely any grease, absolutely no flop. I ordered via DoorDash so it sat for a trip and still was great. Almost impossible to try in NYC!

Amazing pizza! Im asian and really picky with pizza. This one is really good and tasty. Only the crust was so big and more like cracker, if only they have a dip to the crust maybe that would be better. The part that i really not expecting is the dessert calzone which is goood! I thought that will be cold creamy calzone and turns out it is a warm creamy cheesy things, mind blown! The downside is only the high price.

Do your self a favor and get a pizza the action! You don’t need me to tell you this pizza is the best but crust me it’s hands down delicious. Fresh flavorful pure pizza perfection. We got a classic cheese pie half and half vegan. Un beatable espresso and impeccable service. We dined alfresco and found parking immediately. There’s a lot across the street too. If you know anyone putting out better crisp crust pies with premium toppings please let me know.

Service: fantastic service from a very attentive and warm staff! Honest recommendations too. Food: excellent flavors with fair portions for the price point. Atmosphere: the low light interior makes for the perfect date night atmosphere but also great for drinks with friends. Price: $40-50/person Overall: 9.5/10

Pizza to die for and worth putting up with the South Beach traffic. The tomato sauce stood out the most and definitely didn’t taste straight out of a can. The dough was equally good. It is thin crust and chewy at the same time. Bravo to Mark Lacono. Of all places, glad he chose Miami other than his flagship place in Brooklyn.

I haven’t tried the original Lucali in Brooklyn, so I can’t compare this location to it. However, it was an excellent pie. I scored it an 8.2 and sat here wondering what could have made it better… but couldn’t put my finger on it. All in all, I highly recommend it and can’t wait to try the original location.

Whether you’ve had Lucali in Brooklyn or you’ve been wanting to try it, both locations are the same and spot on. We were fearful the second location wouldn’t be as good but it truly is. Best pizza I’ve ever had. Came for lunch on a Monday and didn’t have to wait at all. The atmosphere mimics the Brooklyn location which I loved.

Lucali never disappoints!!! The pizza is ALWAYS on point. But this time we ordered a meatball calzone and... hot damn!! Everything is absolutely delicious, the ambience is perfect (low lit but not soo low that you can’t make out what you’re eating {+ candles}), and the service is unrivaled. James was our server and he was attentive and personable. These guys know what they’re doing! Without a doubt, the best pizza spot in all of Miami. Side note: love the disco/funk music they were playing tonight!

Fresh ingredients. Family friendly. Full stomach. On our last night in Miami, we decided to make reservations based on a recommendation from a local friend. We had a semi-small wait, but the weather was perfect. We waiting near their outdoor seating, which is right across from the entrance. As we’re looking around, everyone was laughing and enjoying the ambience. We knew we were in for a treat. As we got seated, our waiter, Mario, was very hospitable and open to share all of the specials Lucali had to offer. He even shared his favorites. I was able to get a glimpse of hand tossed pizza being made right before it entered the brick oven. For a split second, it didn’t feel like I was in Miami. Food arrived and it was more than expected, but now I know how the other patrons felt. This food is delicious! Plate licking good. Highly recommend. Note:: parking is available next door for a small fee.

What's not to love about this place! They keep it simple with their ingredients which makes for amazing food. If you haven't heard of Lucali, it's rated one of the best places for pizza in Brooklyn. I was excited to learn when owner Mark Iacono was opening another location here in Miami. This place has a cozy ambiance while serving up some amazing pies, definitely worth a try if you're local or even visiting Miami Beach.

This place is absolutely incredible! I simply cannot comprehend why anyone would ever leave a negative review. When you step foot in this establishment, it's as if you have been transported straight to Italy. The ambiance, the flavors, everything about it is so authentic that you completely lose sight of the fact that you are in Miami. Let me assure you, without a shadow of a doubt, that this place is undeniably one of the most exceptional pizza spots in all of Miami. The service is unparalleled, and the flavors of the food are a true testament to the culinary excellence of Italy. You won't find a better pizza experience anywhere else! 🇮🇹

This place is fantastic. We got a pepperoni pizza and chicken wings. More than enough for 2 people. I highly recommend the wings!! Pleasantly surprised by the sweet and spiciness of the signature sauce. The pizza is amazing too, thin crust and crispy. Will definitely come back next time we’re in town.

The most comfortable place ever.. I felt my Long Island neighbourhoods in this place. Home vibes and southern Italian favourites. Eggplant parmigiana of course, perfect. Artichokes with the stems, because they “know” that’s the best part! Mindful and cool about food allergies.

This place is very popular and I see why. The pizza is good. It's the good pizza that doesn't have you feeling all regretful the next day lol.. the service could be better because they were super busy.. They still get 5 stars my whole table was happy and full.

We had a really pleasant time having dinner here! The ambiance is very cool and we can see the process of making the pizza. The pizza itself was very tasteful and big in size. The service was excellent, we also tried the dessert calzone which is calzone filled with cheese and topped with Nutella, we enjoyed it very much. Definitely recommended! But the place was crowded and we had to wait 1 hour to get a seat, the dont take any reservation.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. Domingo was very attentive and always on point. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some italian classics and some twists, the pizza is excellent and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Word of advice tip is included and they wont even let you know. It would be nice that way I didn’t have to tip $90.00 dollars. Now I know for next time.

This place is AMAZING. First time here. We are from NJ. 5 stars all around. We were treated so well and respectfully. The owner walked around meeting people. We had a large group, and he took us to the bar next door and bought us a round. Very nice people. Quality.

One of the best Miami pizzas I've had so far! Perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and meat and the crust was cooked perfect (coming from an Italian girl they nailed this part). Quaint & cute with little Italy vibes - great for date night, family gathering or friends night out, Lucali pizza is fire for so many reasons and a must try for yourself! The service was excellent and the drinks were on point. I didn't get to take a picture but more reason for you to go and check it out for yourself ;)

Lucali Miami was a wonderful experience. I always wanted to try their pizza but always failed to go to the NYC branch due to its location being in Brooklyn. We started off with a salad the eggplant special and the meatballs. All three starter items were superb! The pizza took a long time, and I mean A LONG time to get but it was very worth it. The prices are great too. Overall I'd highly recommend Lucali!

It was a very pleasant surprise today’s lunch. There was no wait time to get a table. The place is very rustic and tavern style. The service was pleasant and fast. It is Brooklyn style pizza, I must say is was the crispiest crust I had in a very long time! It was very good!!!!! The menu is very limited, wish they had more toppings tho. Must Try: Baked Artichokes, Plain Pie with Arugula- Buffala- Meatballs crumbles and the Dessert Calzone!

We’ve been going to Lucali in Brooklyn for a long time , once the Miami location opened in 2013 my wife and I when visiting from NY would go here. Now fast forward 2025 we live in Florida, have a family and frequent the Lucali in Miami. The food reminds us of home , the atmosphere is amazing & service is always on point! Wilmer is an amazing guy , and the rest of staff is always so welcoming.

Went on a Saturday night with 6 people and waited about an hour which we expected. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The wings were the best we got them with sauce on the side and everyone wanted more. Pizzas and meatballs also super yummy but next time I will skip the meatballs and do two orders of wings there were so good!

Great atmosphere and the food is exceptionally delicious, I didn’t expect so much from a pizza but when you try it you will understand. The kale caesar salad is awesome as well as the meatballs, eggplant and artichoke! Highly recommended!

Excellent pizza. Not a real pizza napolitana, closer to a New Haven style pizza. Very good sauce, cheese was very tasty, salad and baked artichokes were both good. Service was commendable and the place was cute. My only little critique perhaps is that I went alone, and a simple cheese pizza is $32. Granted, it was huge, and I did finish the whole darn thing 😊, but Lucali is not the perfect restaurant for a solo visit unless you are ok with spending $100 or so on a pizza dinner. Which I guess I am. But yes, it gets 5 stars from me.

Lucali Miami offers some of the best New York-style pizza around. I can’t compare it to the Brooklyn original, but this spot is impressive. The candle-lit vibe and open kitchen make for a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Perfect for a night out or a relaxed date. What sets Lucali apart is the top-notch ingredients. Each slice has a perfectly crispy yet chewy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. If you’re used to chain pizza like Pizza Hut or Domino’s, you might not appreciate the difference—and that’s probably where the negative reviews come from. I’ll admit, it’s a bit pricey. But for a quality pizza experience, it’s worth it. Bottom line: Lucali Miami is a must-try for those who love great pizza and a laid-back setting. Just know you’re paying for quality, not speed or budget prices.

Excellent, excellent, excellent pizza pie. We ordered the regular 18 inch pie. Fresh homemade dough, margarita style with a fresh homemade pizza sauce, and fresh mozzarella and parmigian cheese. This is perhaps the pizza I've ever had. We also ordered pepperoni chips which were a delicious appetizer. We also ordered the spicy vodka fusili... Fantastic! Loved it! Amazing! Cooked to perfection. Maybe my new favorite place to eat.

Not sure why Lucali is not better ranked. I have no horse in this race except being a fatty with an unhealthy penchant for tasty warm fresh bread, melted cheese and some rich sauce Personally, some of the best pizza I’ve had in miami. Hands down The place is pricey.. one pasta, one pizza, two sodas, one dessert set us back ~$130 but that’s miami for you Was it worth it? One hundred percent Highly recommend building your own pizza, keeping it light on the toppings (no need to over do it, enjoy the simplicity!) and ordering the fusilli pasta The cheesecake was ok.. didn’t have the original graham cracker crust but instead a soft, jammy type base

This is the only place where I can get a truly authentic New York-style pizza with that perfect foldable slice! Pizza at Lucali is simply phenomenal - perfectly crispy crust, fresh, flavorful toppings, and a sauce that's just the right balance of tangy and sweet; hands down the best pizza in town.

B

I had never been here but friends from NYc insisted that I would love it and I did. Actually, I more than loved it I put it on my top ten list in THE BEACH area. It has atmosphere inside and out but what really makes you think of Italy in the fireplace oven for the pizza. This makes the crust crispy and tasty. The salads were an excellent too. If I had one suggestion it would be the ICED TEA. With Italian food you need a plain simple black tea that refreshes and doesn’t take away from the taste of the food. Whatever concoction they make here is horrendous. Firstly, it was cloudy which is not a good sign and secondly there was a peculiar fruity taste which did not compliment the food or tasted ok. I realize that restaurants that are of good quality as this one thinks that they need to upgrade the tea but it is a mistake with Italian cooking. Even in Italy a simple te freddo is only served maybe with a sliced of lemon. This mixture was ghastly but I am a tea maven. Therefore, the meal was 100percent excellent. Just don’t order iced tea.

My wife has a hard time with me and pizza because I have very few exceptions to eating pizza outside of New York. Not stuck up about it just prefer it there pick your reason why. But Lucali brings me back with every bite and very thankful to have a location here in Miami. Great pizza great meat balls. We had the Nutella pizza because why not. Very kind service great experience thank you 🙏.

I’m super picky about pizza and Lucali is one of my favorite place to eat it. Their pizza is delicious; the dough is chewy, but also crusty, crispy and soft at the same time and just everything you think a good pizza dough should be, and then they top it with really good quality ingredients, which makes their pizza stellar. The service is always great and the restaurant is cozy and cute. Def a must try

Excellent ingredients, the basil was just freshly cut, the tomato sauce was exquisite (for me it is the star of the place), large portions, we ordered a pizza with meatballs and a small calzone, and we had half left over to continue indulging at home. 5/5, we will obviously return.

Wow. The rumors are true…hands down best pizza in Miami and better yet, Lucali offers so much more than just pizza. It took me too long to try this exceptional Miami gem. I was expecting nothing less from their amazing executive chef Santo. A legend!!! To start, the salads were unreal especially the kale Caesar. Meatballs are an absolute must and fried ravioli paired with the best tomato bisque. Even the bread…everything prepared in house made with love. Do not skip out on the specials, the clams were fantastic. By the time pizza arrived we were in disbelief. A gorgeous 20 inch pepperoni pie. Love at first bite. The grand finale was a beautifully presented birthday dessert with ice cream surrounded by fresh fruit and the greatest cannolis you’ll ever have. A wow experience start to finish. The ambience has a warm and inviting rustic romantic Italian feel. The staff will make you feel right at home. An incredible option for groups, celebrations, and definitely date night. Cannot wait to return!

Walking into Lucali feels like discovering a cozy, tucked-away pizzeria — warm wood, rustic charm, and the glow of the brick oven set the mood from the moment you sit down. Their pizza is simple, honest, and excellent: thin-crust pies with perfectly blistered edges, fresh tomato sauce, melty mozzarella and fragrant basil — each bite balanced, not overdone. The calzone is a standout too — crisp on the outside, gooey and comforting inside. Service is easygoing and the vibe feels unpretentious, which I appreciate — it doesn’t try too hard, but it hits just right. It’s a bit pricey for a pizza place in Miami, but the quality and consistency make it well worth it.

Really enjoyed the experience here. The pizza was delicious, and serving sizes were actually bigger than our expectations. Ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Staff were kind and attentive. This place definitely has some of the best pies in Miami. Definitely recommended.

Food is always top-notch, simple menu with high-quality ingredients. The kale caesar is among the best I’ve tried. However, it seems that they continue to jack up the prices. $17 for a fairly basic Tuscan wine seems a bit excessive.

Mildly underwhelmed overall given the reputation that preceded the institution that is Lucali. The front of staff were very kind and attentive- which set us off on a good way to start our meal. Our waiter was engaging but admittedly not the most attentive given the size of the indoor-outdoor space and dearth of staff. The kale Caesar was pretty good- nothing amazing and a small portion but solid. The meatballs- more of the same, pretty good but felt it was lacking in terms of what you were paying for it. The pizza we ordered with pepperoni, mushroom and shallots took close to 50 minutes to arrive, pretty surprising given the cook time on the pizza. The pizza was good with fresh toppings, but lacked the oomph and wow factor one came to expect after watching a certain Munchies video. Perhaps the magic of Brooklyn is simply a very difficult thing to transplant to balmy weather.

A
Anne Dewanto

As I remember, this one was not as great as the original one in Brooklyn (I went to the Brooklyn one first, so I didn’t expect much for this one). However, they have a nice ambiance and more options for food than the Brooklyn one the last time I went there, like chicken wings, kale salad, dessert calzone, etc. The pizza was as good as expected but still, the Brooklyn one couldn’t be beaten. But the highlight was the dessert calzone and the chicken wings – game changers! Never thought melty hearty chocolaty fillings can be that magic inside a calzone dough. Also, you can watch the pizza makers live from your table which was a fun experience. Good job!

Love, love, love. This place is a must! Fantastic food. I’m wholeheartedly obsessed with the gluten free pasta. It’s hard to find a place with good noodles that are gluten free and don’t fall apart in your mouth. The meatballs are amazing, love the ricotta cheese that comes with. It’s lovely to sit outdoors in the spring and the inside is charming. There will always be a wait and it can be hard to get the service attention. Outdoor can be hard, there’s not much shade offered. They are pet friendly (outside) and always have a water bowl for them. I eat here every time I am in Miami!

M
M S

This is one I have been wanting to try for a very long time. I would have preferred the original Brooklyn location it this will definitely do in the meantime. It was a rainy Tuesday so I was pretty sure there wouldn’t be a wait. I’ve seen a lot of pics and videos of the nyc location and it looks like they designed this location to look the exact same. Ordered a plain cheese pie. It was really fast bc it cooks so fast. Probably top 3 pizzas I’ve ever had. Super thin, wood fire charred and crispy!! 2-3 different types of cheesies. Just perfect. I’ll be back as much as I can. Update: For what you pay for a pizza, it should be 5 start service. The servers couldn't be less friendly. Maybe because they know they are getting 20% tip no matter what. Pizza quality has also gone down a little bit.

Charming Spot with Authentic Flavors - Don’t Miss the Meatballs! Review: As a local food enthusiast, I ventured into Lucali in the heart of Sunset Harbor, excited to sample their much-talked-about pizza offerings. This chic, neighborhood gem exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere that pairs perfectly with their thin-crust pizzas. While I admire the craft of a good pizza, I found Lucali’s version a tad overcooked for my taste, with a crunch that overshadowed the otherwise robust flavors. But the true stars of the evening were the meatballs - an absolute triumph of taste that left an indelible mark on my palate. Lucali’s meatballs encapsulate the essence of Italian comfort food, with each bite harmonizing rich, savory flavors that are both rustic and refined. These are also all beef meatballs which was pleasantly surprising. A word to the wise - do not overlook the kale Caesar salad. It’s a refreshing and delectable take on the classic, making it a standout side that’s not to be missed. The generous sprinkling of cheese and the perfect hint of garlic in the dressing elevate this dish to a whole new level. In all, Lucali is a solid choice for anyone seeking a slice of authenticity in Sunset Harbor. It’s a place that combines passion for food with a casual, yet elegant dining experience. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or just in search of a delightful meal, Lucali is a must-visit. And while you’re there, let the meatballs and kale Caesar surprise you - they might just steal the show!

The pasta!!!!!! Probably one of the best I have ever tasted. The pizza was excellent. I got pepperoni, sausage, and hot peppers. The dough was thin, high end New York style. The flavor was not lacking. It was a little dark in the restaurant but it did make you feel like you were the only table there. The set up of the restaurant shows that pizza is first and every other dish is secondary. The wood, the wine bottle rolling pin, and the beautiful gravity drops add an extra flare and homeliness to the prep process. I look forward to eating here again.

Not as great as it’s original Brooklyn location but still worth a try. The pizza is good and so we’re the baked artichoke. You can skip the Hot pepper sauce as it’s just marinara with some jalapeño. Staff is friendly and seating is easy to find if you are there at opening.

I’m not a review writer by any means, and I’m definitely not one of those keyboard warriors looking to nitpick. My wife and I have long enjoyed Lucali in Sunset Harbour for its New York-style pizza, a welcome departure from the Italian-style pies dominating Miami Beach. However, our recent visit with my dad left us with mixed feelings. The pizza is undeniably delicious but comes with a steep price tag—a plain cheese pizza starts at $32, with toppings from $4 to $12, easily pushing a single pie over $50. At that cost, you expect a flawless experience, but this visit fell short. The pepperoni chips ($12) were a highlight, perfectly crispy with a side of hot honey, but we were surprised by an additional $2.25 charge for the honey. The server insisted it “comes with it,” yet charging separately contradicts that claim. I later noticed the online menu lists most items about $2 cheaper than in-restaurant, which felt misleading. On a positive note, the kale Caesar salad was exceptional—likely the best on the Beach—with chewy, slightly undercooked croutons that stood out compared to the usual powdery croutons elsewhere. Service was slightly above Miami’s typical standard but had hiccups. My dad’s glass of wine tasted sour and was replaced with a beer, yet the wine remained on the bill until we pointed it out. More troubling, my wife found a 3-inch piece of thin plastic in her pizza, resembling a fishbone but definitely plastic (odd, since Lucali doesn’t serve fish). The server informed the manager, who notified the kitchen, but no one followed up with us. Coming from Chicago, I’m accustomed to managers addressing such issues with a gesture like a complimentary dessert. While we had plenty of food for three and wouldn’t have needed it, an acknowledgment would’ve shown accountability. I understand restaurants may be cautious about customers exploiting complaints, but that shouldn’t excuse overlooking genuine issues. Overall, Lucali’s pizza is unique and tasty, but the premium prices don’t fully align with the experience. Places like Pizzette and Pummarola offer comparable or better pizza at a fraction of the cost with similar service. We’ll likely return quarterly only to use our AMEX $100 Resy credit for the nostalgia of overpriced New York-style pizza, but with tempered expectations.

If it was just the food, I'd give it 5 stars. The serving was decent too. But man the waiting time is ridiculous. 40 min waiting for a table and more than 1 hour waiting for the pizza. Ridiculous. They are making it on purpose otherwise I can't explain. A tip would be if you are waiting at the next door bar, maybe order the pizza from there while you are waiting to be seated in the main restaurant. Maybe that will be better.

We dropped by here and grabbed a full pizza to go (no slice options). It was a little disappointing even when fresh — overall the flavor and combination of cheese/sauce wasn’t our favorite.

We used to come here a lot. Yummy pizza you can get in quick and be out in an hour. Now that the “main character” generation arrived, prepare to wait for a table and not get in fairly because someone knows the hostess or waiter and skipped you in line. Saw this happen 3 times. Pizza is good, not amazing, but also overpriced especially when half of it is the crispy crust. We over ordered and unfortunately it did not taste great the next day (big indicator on the leftover pizza scale) All in all, there are better places around now where you can avoid the pretentious crowd and overpriced Miami pizza.

A

Great service and great ambiance. The crust of the pizza was very thin, and even though they charge a princely for toppings, the quantity is little. It's not my type of pizza.

Good service from our waitress. They forgot to take out the baked artichoke and still billed us for it. Added an extra Pacifico but it was all fixed in the spot. The cheese pizza with extra cheese, shallot, garlic and meatballs crumbs was ok, really hyped up. It’s good for Miami’s pizza level but still average. The chicken wings were a mistake. They were just - 5. But we went there for pizza. Will go back one more try, sold on fast and reliable service.

I’ve been excited to come back to Lucali ever since I tried the pizza over a year ago. I’ve tried twice since, but later in the evening, and it’s always been too busy. They don’t take reservations, so the hostess recommended we come for lunch since there’s a lot more availability. She was right —there was no problem getting a table. The service was great, but the pizza wasn’t as life-changing as I recalled. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great pie, buuut best pizza in all of Miami? I hesitate.

Mediocre food. Meatballs were okay. Sauce was great. Artichokes were lacking flavor (not sure about the oil on it). This is hard to mess up! Italian House Salad - dressing was lacking too. Pesto Ravioli was decent… Was expecting a lot better taste. Everything is way overpriced. Disappointing food!

Lucali is a pizza shop that is beyond overhyped. I arrived and was seated right away and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't put my name down for this place. The Kale Caesar came out in seconds of ordering and the croutons were delicious, only 4. The spicy 3 cheese fusilli was decent but nothing to write home about. Came out 2-3 minutes after the salad. The pizza is what I came for and it was a disaster. Came 47 minutes after the pasta... waiting.... waiting.... waiting....I asked for extra sauce and I'm glad I did because or else there would've been none, can you believe they charged me $4 for the extra sauce too? The crust was not soft and was way too crispy, crisp also had no flavor so just the middle part of the pizza was consumed. Overall the croutons were the best part of the meal. I feel robbed. I won't be back, better to go to the countless of other places that cater to the customer more. Also there was an animal they allowed to sit inside the lobby? Uhm, what's the outdoor patio for then? Who wants dogs surrounding them when they eat. 2 stars is generous. Do better!

Very good service and a cozy place . The meat balls were good, pleasant resistance on the tooth and flavourful . Chicken wings had a strong burned flavor , they're double baked instead of fried which is an interesting idea but bad execution.pizza and toppings came separate, loved the dough and tomatoesauce , sausage had been in the oven waaay to long

Arguably the most mediocre overpriced pizza that I have had in a while. The pizza is MASSIVELY overpriced. 32 dollars for a plain pizza? Then the toppings additionally are silly priced: 12 dollars for burrata, 4 dollars for an onion. Give me a break. The pizza itself is under sauced and pretty flavorless. Yeah it is a thin pizza with no flop, but outside of that there is nothing to talk about. We got a summer salad, which was fine, I mean a pretty basic thing to order. All said and done it was 75+ dollars for a salad and a pizza. I hate to be hyperbolic, but I have had dominos pizza that has been tastier than this. Save your money and time, there is nothing special about this meal.

S
Sabrina Vazquez

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, it was my first and last visit. The pizza was incredibly average—pretty flavorless, with an oversized, cracker-like crust. Definitely not what I was expecting. On top of that, it’s way overpriced and the topping prices are just ridiculous. In my opinion, it’s not worth the hype, the price, or the wait. The service was also just okay—nothing special. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.

J
Jasmine

Definitely not worth the price. This was a very mediocre dinner at most. Started out with the kale salad and it was bad. Just a bit of dressing that was super watery and it was tasteless. Felt like I was just chewing rabbit food. Very disappointed. Also came with absolutely nothing on it just plain kale and bad dressing. We got a side of meatballs and those were probably the best things we ordered. Really good and the sauce was delicious. Not pictured was the chicken parm my boyfriend got. For the price it’s listed @ I was expecting a lot more. Instead it was bland and tasteless. No flavour to it what so ever and it was small. Then the pizza, it was also disappointing. The crust is so big compared to what pizza you actually get. And the crust was way too crispy it was like a cracker. Maybe that’s how they do it but it wasn’t for me. Also considering you have to pay for toppings you’d think they’d make more of the pizza edible. There seems to be a lot of hype but for me the food wasn’t worth it

Three years ago I was so impressed…. Dec, 2024 that is not the case….. unfortunately SHAME ON YOU LUCALI…. Go back to your roots Presently, you are a TRUE DISAPPOINTMENT The place insisted they don’t take reservations but couple of Miami high rollers showed up and indicated they have reservations…. !?!? The entire restaurant was bending backwards for them to the point service for the rest of the customers slowed down to turtle speed…. The kale salad completely changed now a small portion with big dose of Cesar dressing all over it for $18….. the portion was more like tiny appetizer than a salad portion. I am glade Joe’s pizza open in Miami…. They are legit and consistent. It will be a nice upgrade from Fake place 3yrs ago review Simply GREAT pizza and calzone. Amazing fresh flavors. Excellent recommendations by Barstool- Dave. Kale salad was awesome. Our waiter/ service was terrible - I would give her zero star.

An embarrassment to the New York original and to New Yorkers. Literally tasteless and one of the worst meals we’ve had in Miami. Note: a plain cheese pizza without any toppings is already $32. Adding sausage $8, olives $5. We knew it would be expensive and would have been fine if the pizza was good. But we were beyond shocked. How does a restaurant get away with such terrible food?

I had the absolute worst experience here. The meatballs came with a long blonde hair (I’m brunette). I returned the plate. The manager came out and not only did he not apologize he insisted on the fact that it must have been mine because the person that makes the meatballs is male… awful. I wasn’t looking for a discount just grossed out and now appalled.

Honestly leaving this review here because we just ordered take out and was looking forward to the mozzarella sticks…. Who in their right mind packages mozzarella sticks TO GO drenched in marinara - granted I understand there may be no cheese pull when ordering mozzarella sticks to go but to drench them in marinara and not put the marinara on the side for a to go order is true laziness…. HORRIBLE EXECUTION. SOGGY MOZZARELLA STICKS.

Location, location, location, matched by attitude, attitude and astonishing low standards. As soon as they have 30 people in, they will ask you for the proof of your royal DNA at the door. But if there's nobody in, get ready to wait 15 minutes to get some tap water and a menu. But after all that, oh God, finally something to write Mama about, back in Brooklyn, right? Well, no way José: the pizza is boring, but nobody dares say so because this is so trendyyyyy, darling. Stick to the kale salad and the baked artichokes. And don't get sick on an overpriced red Tuscan which is as acid as a bad cheap Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and my grandma's sense of humor.

I honestly don’t understand the hype about this place at all. This was an awful experience from start to finish. The pizza was cold, poorly made, and completely flavorless—like eating a dry cracker. There was practically no sauce and barely any cheese. Charging $60 for pizza of this quality is outrageous and feels like a rip-off. This is some of the worst pizza I’ve had. I will never return and absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Despite this unfortunate review, this is still my favorite pizza place but they did me dirty today. The pizza pie had an inconsistent amount of sauce, some with more sauce and some with very little, a couple of the slices were completely black on the bottom and others weren't and the placement of these slices seemed a bit odd, like the two buried slices were on almost opposite sides of the pie. Because of that some slices folded ok and others were not foldable. There was a lot of newly added cheese on top as if they reheated it or worse reshaped and used scattered slices and just added new crust hopefully that wasn't actually the case but despite this bad experience I believe that will do better in the future.
