What can I say? It's a Miami staple. Open 24 hours, late night, it hits the spot after a couple of drinks, I hear. Anyway, I enjoy this place mainly for the vibes. It feels like Miami, like I'm home. It's not a Michelin-starred place, but the food is decent, and it's a good experience.

This place is great. Open twenty four hours to eat, do laundry, hang out with friends after a night out. The pan con bistec is amazing! The medianoche is even better. Today I’m having a turkey ham and cheese sandwich and it’s also amazing. This is a family owned business. Three generations. Grandfather owns the jewelry store, son owns the coin laundry business, and the granddaughters own the café. The music is great, too. Great vibes all around. The place also attracts a great crowd of people. My friend from high school, Alex, is the one who brought me. I think I’d passed by a couple of times because I recognized the store front but had never stopped for food. It’s also a great place to sit and do work while enjoying a batido de mamey or Honolulu (coconut milk, strawberries, bananas) Smoothie. La Tanga is also v yummy.

This place is a hidden gem, laundry and good food! Getting a Cuban sandwich at 4am hits different.

A local cafe with great customer service and food. I opted in for the Mary’s Best sandwich which includes ham, salami and pepperoni. It come on a fresh, white bread with mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. Served hot off the press and easy to eat. She also made me a Cuban coffee that hit the spot. Thank you Mary’s cafe for providing me with excellent service and great food. The prices are also awesome to help with the budget. Until next time.

Breakfast, Bistec, and Bumps: A Perfect Morning at Mary’s Woke up in Miami with the sun shining, birds chirping, and the distinct realization that I needed a pan con bistec in my life immediately. So naturally, I pulled the covers off the Classic American lowrider, flipped the switches on the hydraulics, and decided to cruise through the city in style—bouncing through traffic like it was 1997 again. As I rolled down the streets with the car hopping at red lights (because why not), I took in all the chaos and beauty that is Miami: palm trees swaying, people looking like they just stepped off a music video set, the smell of cologne, sunscreen, and bad decisions in the air—and of course, the absolutely reckless drivers who think turn signals are optional. One guy made a left turn from the right lane, looked at me dead in the eyes like I was the problem. Miami, never change. Eventually I made it to Mary’s Coin Laundry & Café, a true local staple that had been hyped to me endlessly by my friends who were born and raised in the 305. I walked in and it felt like stepping into a time capsule—a humble mom-and-pop shop fused with a laundromat, full of character, flavor, and that unmistakable Cuban soul. Now, let’s talk food. I usually avoid bread (my waistline thanks me), but I had to make an exception for the pan con bistec. One bite in and I knew I was about to finish the whole thing. Crispy, tender steak layered with onions, potato sticks, and all kinds of Cuban magic. It wasn’t a sandwich. It was an experience. Then came the guava pastry—chef’s kiss. And this is coming from someone who rides hard for Porto’s in L.A. This one? Ten out of ten. Zero notes. I should’ve ordered six. I also grabbed a couple papas rellenas, and again, flawless victory. Crunchy on the outside, creamy meat-and-potato heaven on the inside. The service was warm, the vibe was nostalgic, and there’s just something wholesome about enjoying bomb Cuban food while people are switching out their dryer loads ten feet away. It’s authentic. It’s Miami. Leaving Mary’s, full and content, I hopped back in the lowrider, hit the switches, and bounced off into the Miami sunshine with steak sandwich grease on my fingers and a smile on my face. A perfect morning. Would I go back? Absolutely. Should you go? Only if you like joy.

I recently visited Mary's Cafe and had their delicious pan con bistec, or Cuban steak sandwich. The sandwich had the perfect combination of ingredients that made my taste buds dance with delight. I was thoroughly impressed with the flavors and the overall quality of the sandwich. What's even better is that Mary's Cafe is conveniently located close to my house, and my partner and I are frequent visitors. We always call ahead to place our order, and every time we do, the staff is quick and efficient in taking our order. They never fail to provide us with top-notch service. Speaking of service, the staff at Mary's Cafe is consistently brilliant. They are always friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure we have a great dining experience. I can always count on them to provide great service every time we visit. Overall, I highly recommend Mary's Cafe for their delicious pan con bistec, convenient location, and consistently brilliant service. This is definitely a five-star establishment that I will continue to frequent for years to come.

oh my gosh, best Cuban style chicken sandwich I’ve had in forever. They really put all the necessary ingredients and so many onions. It’s hard to find the price for items since they’ve changed the prices so much and that’s my only con.

Been coming here for about 5 years. This place is your typical Miami ventanita but it makes the best pan con bistec in Miami, 24/7! A great stop after a night out or for a quick lunch.

E

Mary’s Coin Laundry is the perfect window spot after a night out. They have all the Cuban sandwiches, but you MUST try the Pan con Bistec. It’s the best one I’ve had. The bread is toasty but soft on the inside and the meat has the perfect seasoning. Make sure to get it with everything as it comes. The ketchup is a nice addition that isn’t usually in a steak sandwich. I paired it with a batido de Mamey, which had great flavor and consistency. There’s limited seating available outside, so you might have to wait a around a bit or end up eating in the car. But trust me, it’s worth it!

S
Sondra Gutierrez

One of my favorite spots to eat a quick lunch. Everything is always freshly made. It's not really a sit and dine type of place but if you get lucky you might be able to sit in the two patio tables in the front or the cute little side tables next to the laundromat. Their staple is the "Pan con Bistec", which is a sandwich made of palomilla steak and Cuban bread. It's a very Cuban thing to eat. And they make it WELL. Here it is made with mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes and potatoe sticks. There are also freshly made juices, Cuban coffee, latin desserts, latin pastries among other things. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. It's a hot spot as it's always busy with customers. Come try it and see for yourself.

It's a little hole in the wall. My husband took me and said to try and niw I'm addicted. The trigo shake is on point. The steak sandwich wasnt the best needed to be cooked better and seasoned better. But better than other places and the rest of the food I really cant complain. I really enjoyed it.

Loved this spot. We hit this place up every morning at 3am for their steak sandwich, n beef empanadas. When ever you are in Miami (Little Havana) make sure stop by this place. Super yummy 💯🌴😋 I think they are open 24/7.

This is one of the best cafes in Coral Gables with great food at really affordable prices. Not only that, they also have a great selection of smoothies as well. The only downside is how it's on a small street corner with limited seating, but if you're on the go, this is a great place to stop by and have a good snack.

Can you go wrong with the best pan con bistec in Miami? At any time of day? Definitely not. Seems better after 12am, but that might be relative. Always an eclectic mix of clientele. Bring your best Spanish and order politely. A mainstay of Miami late night Cuban food.

J

What can I say, you know it, I know it, and everyone who doesn't needs too. 100% hands down, or up after you taste it Pan Con Bistec in the world I'm sure. I like it with everything but the ketchup, and I always ask for a Swiss cheese add-on. I assume all the other things are great too because people seem to look ecstatic when I see them eating there. But you know what I go for!!! Did I mention it's a 24 hour a day coin laundry too. And yes you can eat anytime of day you want. And an interesting people watching stop too, because you can get everything from princes to paupers there.... It's cool.

Late at night? This is the place to go for a quick bite. Don't expect a fancy place, they are in a corner inside a laundromat, but with a nice staff, reasonable prices, a great selection of sandwiches and open 24/7 this is the spot. Usually you will find people there at all times, so while you wait for your food try the croquettes.

A
Araceli Hernandez

The sandwiches and shakes here are AMAZING!! Doesnt matter the time or day. Thia place never disapoints i usually call ahead before going. The food is amazing. Limited seating, it's more of a quick food grab type of place to eat. Dont expect, girls that work there are always great with service as well. Pricing is very decent.

Best Cuban steak in Miami hands down Open 24 hours so it's a crazy Miami scene at 3 am lol rolls Royce next to Uber every waiting for great sandwiches

J

24 hour window makes this a Miami staple. The croquetas aren't Islas level good, but they are still pretty spectacular. The sandwiches take some time to be made, but they are worth it. Smoothie selection is excellent. Very wide menu for a very small space.

This place makes the BEST pan con bistec I've ever tasted thus far. No other latin restaurant has been able to match it ! Even high end latin restaurants. Like the bread has a good consistent texture to it, it's toasted just perfectly, the steak tastes like good quality, the little fries with the ketchup, mayo, lettuce & sauteed onions all just mix perfectly. I don't understand why no other restaurant can do it like them. It's to the point where I drive a very long way just to get it. I wish they would deliver or were closer, oh well. You will definitely not be disappointed. 5 stars for real.

Mary's Cafe is an absolute gem in Miami, and it's open 24 hours a day to satisfy your cravings anytime. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a friendly atmosphere The star of the show here is undoubtedly the Pan Con Bistec. It’s the best I’ve ever had! The steak is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, nestled in a fresh, crispy baguette, and topped with caramelized onions, tomatoes, and potato sticks that add the perfect crunch. Each bite is a delightful explosion of flavors that leaves you wanting more. In addition to the outstanding food, Mary’s Cafe offers the convenience of a 24-hour laundry service. This thoughtful touch makes it easy to get your laundry done while enjoying a great meal, making it a perfect spot for both locals and travelers. Overall, Mary’s Cafe delivers an exceptional dining experience with its mouthwatering Pan Con Bistec, welcoming ambiance, and the added perk of 24-hour laundry service. Highly recommended, one of my personal favorites

SoBe and Honolulu are my favorite. Their sandwhiches are AMAZING!!!! love the turkey, tuna, chicken, and italian. besides eating there, i use the laundromat as well. super easy, clean. they prefer cash, but you can use card (just has a card fee), they have water out front for people, and nice music. also LOVE THEIR COLADASSSS!!! so good, sweet and strong!

Service: a quick stop counter service joint where I was able to park my car, wait, order my food and received my food, all in less than 8 minutes. Food: I only ordered the pan con bistec (steak sandwich) but it was delicious. I’d come back again and order two. Atmosphere: the restaurant is legitimately inside of a laundromat but there are tables around if you sit. Price: $5-10 an item is going to be hard to beat. Tremendous value for the quality of deliciousness you’ll get. Overall: 8.7/10

I absolutely love places like this. The Expresso coffee was superb. The sandwich were well made on that infamous Cuban bread and not over toasted. I went for the tuna sandwich and it was well made plenty of tuna and toppings. The tuna salad is plain but with other topping made a good sandwich for a good price. A very good after or pre party food counter. Sandwiches start at 7.50 which isn't that bad. Will try the Cuban next.

What more can be said about Mary's. This is a Miami institution and is a go-to at earlier hours after going out. You never know the people you'll meet out front but you will know you will also get a killer sandwich without fail. If you're local, this is a known commodity, but for someone visiting you need to likely have someone inform you about it as it can look unassuming from first glance. If you want a real South Florida experience, hit up Mary's.

Shared a pan con bistec sandwich for dinner and it was yummy! I liked it because it was freshly made - we waited no more than 10 minutes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bread is yummy. Service was friendly! I was looking at the menu and they have several options. Would eat here again.

The best Cuban fast food you can ask for during a midnight run. Although the Cuban sandwich I ordered took a while, it came out a big sandwich that tasted decently on my way from the metro back home. Empanada was also not bad. Definitely check it out if you're flying in late and need food that isn't pizza or burgers

What can I say, Mary's cafe is just a treasure to the neighborhood. Their food hits the spot as you wait for your laundry to finish. Their pan con bistec is my favorite there, but I also recommend the pastelillos. If you need a quick bite and it's late night, this place has you covered!

The food and coffee are average. Prices are fair, as a cafe small things add up easily. Service is good, they have a small window where you order and the order accuracy is good.

T

Pretty good Cuban diner style food, great for a late snack after parties or hangouts. Food preparation is a little long in my opinion but it's worth it once you receive your order.

C
Camille Harrison

The porcini mushroom pappardelle is spectacular. The sauce has a very umami taste but isn't too overwhelming. SO GOOD!!! I've also tried the eggplant parmigiana, the lasagna, and a few of the desserts which are also extremely tasty. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here!

K
King Prime

My service and sandwich was amazing!!! My reason for the four star is that upon reviewing cafe online, I thought it was a dine in experience as well as take-away, but it was take away only with limited seating outside with no covering from the heat or the rain. Also, there were no fries available to accompany my sandwich.

E
Etienne C.

I had a smoothie and a sandwich on a croissant. I loved my sandwich, super tasty. The smoothie was too sweet though. But since you can personalize them, I will make sure to let them know I want less sugar next time.

A
Andres Rivera

There is usually only one item that people order from this place and it's the Cuban-style steak sandwich. Although, it makes it Cuban-style because of the dry fries that come in a can, which I always leave out because it makes it too salty. However, it's the few places that I enjoy for the steak sandwich.

A

Such a nice little place! I went to do laundry and decided to try out the Cafe while I was there; they seem to be a bit understaffed so the service itself runs pretty slow. But otherwise, I actually enjoyed my time there and the Cuban Frita sandwich was Delicious!

S

In my quest to find the perfect Cuban sandwich I heard about Mary's coin laundry and deli since it's right down the street from where I'm currently staying I decided to head there after work and get a Cubano. It didn't take long for them to make it, I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes that may have been a red flag usually in my experience a great Cubano takes at least 15 minutes to cook and assemble and since I wanted to eat at my Airbnb which was a quarter mile or less away I literally did a grab and go which is what this experience felt like. Upon opening the wrapper I noticed the bread looked really fresh but did not have any crispiness to it and my assumptions were clear it didn't spend much time under the flat iron. No, I'm not saying this sandwich is bad it had a good taste to it The bread was very fresh and light but it just tasted like a ham and cheese sandwich assembled with a couple of slices of pork and ham but of really good quality the cheese was on point as well. I've heard a lot of rave reviews about Mary's and I can see why it's a great sandwich but in my opinion and it's just my opinion it doesn't hold a candle to Enrequitas on second and 29th in midtown but my all-time favorite is from La Cucina International in Spring Hill Florida. Don't get me wrong this was a great sandwich it was fresh the bread was light and delicious but it wasn't crispy The deli meat was a very good quality and tasty but there wasn't enough of it compared to other great cubanos I've had plenty of pickles the way I liked and enough mustard. Now Mary's has lots of other delicious looking sandwiches on their menu and for a sandwich shop tucked away in the corner of a laundromat and being right down the street from my Airbnb I will be back there again to try some of their other offerings. Three stars for the Cubano Five stars for quality and freshness.

A
Andre Cabrera

I appreciate Mary's for what it is. A low cost local spot (not many of those left) with ok food in an up-and-coming area. They seemed to have gained popularity in recent years but not exactly sure why. I took the bait and tried their steak sandwich a couple months back, and it was... mediocre. I thought, ok maybe they're having a bad day it was later at night after all. Went again a few days ago, got a couple sandwiches this time to compare and again it's like they don't really try. Which is a shame because they seem to have garnered a good amount of popularity, and with small improvements could maybe break out into a real Miami hidden gem. Come on Mary, seize the opportunity!

w
wesley useche

Some guy here said "They have the best cuban sandwhich in all of Miami." It was dry, lacking pork and mustard, and pickles. Just kind of mediocre overall. I've had much better. Their frita was extremely tough and dry as well. Their croquettes cold and nasty. Not that great IMO.

D
Danny ardaya

The owner finally hired staff and the cafe is open again. I give the cafe 3 stars.. They have raised their prices multiple times in the last year. Do they forget the reason people become customers is because they can afford to buy there daily? If they keep increasing the prices.. There will be better prices to eat around for the same price soon.

V

We heard about this place having the Best pan con bistek sandwich on an Instagram post, so we figured we would try it. We drive for more than 30 minutes I n from North Miami. We had a couple pan con bistek and a cafe con leche. The cafe con leche was very good. The pan con bisteks not so much. The Cuban bread was fresh and flakey, the meat was bland, unseasoned, and did not have good flavor as advertised. The other sandwich toppings were good, even though this was our first having ketchup on a steak sandwich. Although not the worst pan con bistek we've had, it was far from the best. We definitely would not make the drive to this place again. Sorry we didn't take photos.

T

Meh. The papa rellena was great. But I was disappointed with the one slice of ham Cuban sandwich and sweet pickles. I kinda wonder if they’ve had a real Cuban sandwich. Also the main girl that served me refused to speak to me in English. She was very impatient because I couldn’t understand what she was saying.

M

Service is THE SLOWEST IN MIAMI, and that is saying it all there. Astonishing, what a lack of pride in what you do on a daily basis. This place would be such an awesome and bountiful business if only anyone cared, the guy who owns this place could be making a killing. Still, very convenient that you can eat and relax while your laundry is getting done.

L

Food is decent but way the price is rough. The coffee tastes great, but the service is awful. They act like they don’t want you to be there. There’s no reason to be rude just because you know we’re not from Miami.

The employees should not provide to the homeless. The odor was so horrible my whole appetite disappeared. Not good.

The food is amazing but I feel like this ladies don’t like to serve women. I walked up to place an order one told me to wait and the other just started shaking her head like she couldn’t help me. Had me waiting here for like 10 minutes while they gave orders out and cleaned up inside and outside. Honestly this type service makes me not wanting to come anymore here again.

Very little meat in this pan con lechón. More onions than meat. Vinegar all over the bread, meat can't be tasted because of this. Very slow service

Went there because the NEW TIMES wrote a great article about them. It's a window Cafe and not so clean. Ordered a tamal and the girl looked at me funny. Guess they do not sell alot. Saw it was a frozen tamal in a package they opened with a scissors. Defrosted in a microwave so quality not great. Sandwiches are on huge thick bread rolls with very little inside for the price. Not impressed and won't be back. Cuban worst I have ever had, not pressed with toaster.

Had the pan con Bistec. Lacked flavor both in the bread and the steak itself, Anybody can pull a better job at home. One half was bloated with meat and the other with condiments, no sense in assembling the sandwich. And to think this was one of the best in town...

Used to visit this place all the time but on our last visit they sold us a steak sandwich for $11 that had only 1 slice of tomato SPLIT IN HALF! And the steak was the size of my pinky. We returned it immediately and asked for a refund. Wish I could’ve taken a picture of it because I know this review will not do justice of the type of sandwich they tried to sell and get away with for $11. Make sure to know your rights and return whatever you get from this place if they try to stiff you too!

Correct me if I'm wrong but this place was the little spot for a late night or any time steak sandwich. When I would go the service was great and the sandwiches were great as well not to mention the prices were good too. I would say around $5.50 or $6 when I would go. Now I understand times are different and things have changed I get that. I don't mind paying a bit extra to help a small business. But you walk up and think the service will be the same. I placed my order 2 sandwiches and an empanada total was roughly $20. I was a bit confused as to why so much. I asked and the lady at the register tells me in the most annoyed attitude. "Sandwiches are now $8.50 each" I look up to the display where they have thier menu and I said "it states $7.50" here. Her response? "Yeah but that's the new price". I pay it and get my order. So here's my verdict. For $8.50 each you get an overpriced bland tasting thin steak sandwich and some attitude on the side. (Hopefully you don't get the same person who took care of my order). Sad to see a once good place for a quick bite decline in service the way it has. This is my opinion though I welcome you to go and have your own experience. Management should really take a closer. Look at giving a better experience. Everything doesn't last for ever and at that rate it'll soon be another closed buisness

I am not sure who has been eating this food and providing rave reviews, but it’s probably one of the worst pan con bistec and Cuban sandwich we have ever had. Very few pieces of meat. The bread wasn’t great. Way too much mustard on the Cuban and ketchup/mayo on the pan con bistec. Even the cafe con leche wasn’t great - too bitter tasting. Plus two sandwiches and a small cafe con leche cost us $22 and change. You are better off going to a Latin America than here. We definitely will not be coming back.

This used to be the best pan con bistec in Miami. However, they lower the quality of the meat and bread.

Not worth going to. Steak sandwich doesn’t taste as good as it used to be. Asked for no tomatoes and guess what was in it? Sat outside and a unleashed dog without a collar came and jumped on me, scratched me and licked the sandwich. Ask the lady for another one and she said no. Couldn’t believe it. Won’t be going back there. Watch out for dogs and bad service.

This is the most ridiculous place to go to. They do not get yours right. It's the second time I order from this place and they get the order wrong. I ordered No Ketchup even though she wrote it down the one in the kitchen understood it as Extra ketchup. No is no in both English and Spanish. I will not be returning to this place and I will make sure to get help this same rating. How hard can it be to get a sandwich correct? It's not like that have to worry about much there. Unacceptable! And disgusting!

This is the worst sandwich I have ever had. I ordered the Cuban, it came with a tiny piece of ham on it, one side had way too much mustard and the other had none. The bread tasted like cardboard. The service was good but definitely will not be coming back.

The food is almost ALWAYS amazing! This is a stopping point for me EVERY time I’m in Miami. It’s has been too many times the lady at the counter is RUDE which RUINS the atmosphere. My most recent trip was ridiculous. Gave me wrong items and then didn’t even provide items that were missing. Not worth my time to go back and argue with someone who doesn’t understand common sense.

engaño Cubano, not sandwich cubano. Mostly bread and pickles. Where’s the ham pork and cheese? Les debe dar pena vender esto.
