Opinions de Shiso Miami
Shiso is hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! I was absolutely blown away by the food; every single dish was a masterpiece. I loved the presentation of every course, as they clearly put so much thought and artistry into how the food looks and tastes. From the first bite to the last, the flavors were incredible. If you are looking for a top-tier dining experience where the food is as beautiful as it is delicious, this is the place. I can't wait to go back!🔥
Seriously: One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time Shiso completely blew me away. Every single thing we ordered was incredible.. like, melt-in-your-mouth good. There wasn’t one dish that didn’t hit. The sushi, the ox tail udon noodles, the sea bass (best I’ve ever had), the small plates, even the burger… everything was just on another level. I’m from out of town and honestly already trying to figure out when I can come back because this place is that good. The flavors were so balanced, the textures were perfect, and you can tell how much care goes into each dish. It’s rare to find a restaurant where every plate is a standout, but Shiso absolutely crushed it. And on top of that, every cocktail james creates is incredible!! Great food, great vibe, great service. Truly one of those meals you think about afterward. Can’t recommend it enough.
I’ve been seeing this spot all over the Instagram foodie pages and let me say… the flavor in those dishes were absolutely insane. I’ve never experienced a Japanese/Caribbean cuisine combo and it was such an explosion of flavors. The miso cornbread with the honey butter? Absolutely insane. The sauce on the duck dumplings is something I would eat alone. The crispy sweet potato croquette ball stuffed with brisket and parmesan grated over was *perfection.* The oxtail udon was soooo worth the hype.
The food was great. My favorite were the oxtail noodles and my boyfriend loved the pork belly and the crudo. Everything delicious and Gabby, the bartender was helpful and amazing. She made us some great drinks and everything she recommended was on point. Loved It
Shiso is an absolute gem in the heart of Wynwood! It’s a stylish rooftop Asian gastropub that delivers way more than just great views. From the moment you step in, the vibe is modern yet relaxed, with sleek decor and just the right touch of Miami flair. The happy hour menu is one of the best-kept secrets in the neighborhood with creative small plates, craft cocktails, and sake options that punch way above their price point. The sausage stuffed Shishito peppers, Salmon belly, Chilean sea bass and the Tuna crudo were my favs! The flavors are familiar but always come with a clever twist that keeps things interesting. Also the cocktails were beautifully curated and the perfect ice didn’t go unnoticed! (Ice is important) What really makes Shiso stand out, though, is the staff. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and drinks. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’re treated like a VIP! Thanks for having us, we will be back for sure!
This spot is such a vibe from start to finish! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and effortlessly chic. It’s perfect for a romantic date night or even a stylish night out with friends. The décor strikes that sweet balance of classy and modern, setting the tone for a great evening. I went solo and I ordered the Miami Spice menu option while sitting at the bar. Let me just say, the drinks were on point! The small plates were absolutely divine, full of flavor and beautifully presented. Dessert wasn’t my favorite, but honestly, I usually don’t even make it that far because the food and drinks keep me satisfied. Overall, I loved everything about this place and I’ll definitely be back very soon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good vibes, delicious food, and top-notch drinks!
this place was incredible! me and my mom sat at the bar and we were treated like family by the bartenders. we almost ordered half the menu and everything tasted phenomenal. places like this make me appreciate food as an art. we ordered two desserts, the cheesecake and chocolate rum cake, and after telling one of the bartenders it was my birthday they brought a candle out and everything! their hospitality made us feel special. they even gave us a tour of the inside part of the restaurant and told us the background of how they came about. would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or just a casual outing! please get the cornbread and the oxtail noodles (and the deserts).
O M G . now this was a hell of an experience. I turned 40 today and despite not having a reservation we were accommodated for a party of 4 and it was uphill ever since. Service from our server was TOP TIER. Friendly environment, and the FOOD. BOOOOOOM! im not even a huge sushi fan but took the dive and iv now become a lover of the roll. Lastly the chilean sea bass was GODLY on every level . I WILL ABSOLUTELY be coming back
This was my first time dining with Shiso and everything was fantastic! From the hospitality to the drinks and cuisine. I don’t drink alcohol but our amazing waiter Ray recommended two fabulous mocktails that I genuinely enjoyed. Be sure to try the Uni Rice, Duck dumplings, and the oh so delicious cornbread!
Great ambiance, menu and service in a part of town that often falls far from short of the mark. Jay was our server and was attentive and kind. Ribs and udon stood out big time. Will be back again soon!
Very funky cool ambiance and delicious food. Ox tail udon was superb as was Chilean sea bass. Duck dumplings very flavorful as well. We also tried scallop crudo and both bacon and barbecue sause overpowered the taste of scallops so it was confusing. Overall a great place, definitely want to have that Ox trail udon again.
My experience at Shiso was great!! The cornbread was amazing. My drink was recommended by my waiter, (can't recall the name) but had a strawberry cold foam and hint of coffee..unique but very good. I had salmon belly sushi as an appetizer and sea bass with side of rice as my main. My waiter was super accommodating with leaving the sauce off and fish was still super flavorful. Will be back in the future! SN: music was great!!
Really cute spot in wynwood with a good vibe and excellent attentive service which is hard to find in Miami. We got an assortment of appetizers and entrées, and they were all delicious. My favorite was the duck dumpling appetizer and the pork belly entrée. The octopus was also very good. I had one of my favorite desserts I’ve ever had, the baked Alaskan with a cornbread cake. All of the cocktails were unique and made well. Would definitely go back!
I sat at the bar at Shisho and had such a great experience. The bartender was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall vibe was on point. The decor is swanky, the lighting is moody, and the music? Definitely a vibe. It just felt cool in there. Food-wise, the slice hamachi was the star of the night for me, 10/10. The freshness, the texture, the flavor balance… everything just worked. It was easily my favorite dish. The salmon belly maki also surprised me in the best way. I don’t think I’ve had salmon belly before, and paired with the truffle oil, it was rich, flavorful, and honestly another 10/10. That roll exceeded my expectations. Now, the duck dumplings — I know a lot of reviews say they’re the favorite, but for me they were my least favorite of what I ordered. They weren’t bad at all (I’d still give them a 7/10), but I think I went in expecting something crispy or fried, and that’s not what they are. That mismatch was on me. They were good, just not the standout compared to the hamachi and salmon belly. I was slightly skeptical about the Asian-Caribbean fusion concept before going, but everything felt cohesive and well-executed. I also had the Sakerinha (a play on a Brazilian caipirinha), and that drink was dangerously good. I could’ve had five and needed to be wheeled out. Absolutely delicious. Bonus points for including the service charge in the bill. As someone who doesn’t love navigating tipping culture, I appreciate when restaurants just include it upfront so there’s no guesswork. Overall: great atmosphere, strong flavors, and a very solid experience. I’ll definitely be back. EDIT: OK I took one dumpling home and left it overnight in the fridge. The next day I ate it cold and you guysssss it was delicious! That’s all.
Shiso Miami completely exceeded expectations !! This place is such a vibe and instantly makes you want to come back ASAP. Like i need to go back for happy hour asap! From the moment we walked in, the energy, the creativity, and the attention to detail stood out. Our server Justin was AWESOME - super knowledgeable, genuinely passionate about the menu, and made the whole experience feel elevated. The drink menu is so cool and creative, and every recommendation he gave was on point. Must orders: the duck dumplings were insane, the BBQ TORO — OMG — that tuna belly is next level, and the smoked pork belly was unforgettable. Every bite felt intentional and packed with flavor. KUDOS TO THE CHEF! You can really tell this isn’t just another restaurant - it’s an experience. Amazing food, incredible service, and one of those spots that leaves you already planning your next visit. Highly recommend.
Shiso was great! The food was delicious and our server was wonderful. The sushi we had fell a little short of expectations, especially for the price, but all the other dishes were outstanding (ribs, fried conch, oxtail udon, fried chicken) and the dessert was 10/10. I first heard about Shiso after it was mentioned on the All In podcast and I must say, their recommendation was spot on! Definitely would recommend.

This place is Amazing! The food is mouthwatering and so delicious! The drinks are all crafted soooo good and what an experience in flavors! Overall experience was phenomenal. Cheers to the chef, our waitress and James for exceeding our expectations! This new restaurant is a must go to. We came for a girls night two weeks ago but coming tonight for a birthday dinner. It’s that good!!

Maybe my new favorite restaurant. A unique combination of flavors and foods. (Sushi and short rib? Incredible.) And amazing service. Food highlights? The croquettes, corn bread, short rib gunkin (sushi), blue tuna sushi, and more. All wrapped in a surprisingly cool space. If I was forced to be critical, I thought the music was a bit loud for a restaurant. But my younger fiancée reminded me they have two big bars and it was Friday night: So stop complaining about the volume. With that aside, it was fantastic. We will be back soon.
a chic Asian smokehouse fusing Japanese and Caribbean flavors, elevated by wood-fired barbecue techniques.Balance between sushi rolls and curds with barbecue dishes. Standouts include the Shiso Chicken Please (a Cornish hen served half-smoked, half-fried with white BBQ sauce), miso cornbread with uni and ikura, smoked brisket croquettes with sweet potato, and Chilean seabass in coconut curry. Don’t miss the sake-glazed creamed corn with parmesan and shichimi—it’s a flavor bomb that disappears fast.sprawling indoor-outdoor space, complete with two bars and Wynwood-style graffiti walls, draws culinary inspiration from around the globe. This spot was amazing! From the moment we walked in the vibe was great. They had a DJ who really set the mood! Service was wonderful, our server Jay took great care of us from recommendations to general customer service all night. The full staff was very accommodating and on top of clearing dishes and refilling water. I would highly recommend the shishito peppers, the blue fin hamachi, and the glazed ribs. We had a Basque cheesecake for dessert, that was divine! I would highly recommend this a fun late night dinner spot!
We had a phenomenal meal at Shiso last night — our favorite of our trip to Miami!! The restaurant is beautiful. Service was outstanding thanks to Jay. Be sure not to skip the Oxtail Udon noodles and the short rib in any form. Every dish and bite was memorable!
I’ve lived in Miami for almost 2 years and Shiso is arguably my favorite restaurant here. The food is super unique and high quality. They combine traditional Asian dishes with smoky, BBQ flavors and I hadn’t had anything quite like it before. The vibe is fun but not pretentious. And the service was incredible. We told our waiter, Daniel, we couldn’t decide between 2 deserts, so he just brought us both. If I have visitors, I’ll likely bring them to dinner here. The uniqueness and fun atmosphere is the perfect encapsulation of what is great about the Miami food scene.
Excellent food, phenomenal service! Everything was delicious, our server was awesome and the cocktails were really fantastic. We started in the bar and the bar staff were also all really great and made us excellent cocktails. The duck dumplings and BBQ toro are 100% worth getting.
Shiso is a MUST TRY! From beginning to end: the stracciatella has a beautiful shiso pesto and is superb. Blue fin tuna is truly decadent and inventive, the sea bass perfectly cooked, with a delicious coconut curry/ miso butter sauce that is to die for. Oxtail udon noodles were rich and quite tasty with a perfect udon. Literally everything on this menu is delicious! Vibes are upscale and still cool casual. Music was on point and I cannot wait to go back. Plate portions seem smaller than other places but they are truly the perfect portion. I left completely satisfied. Chef Sealey & Dominguez have hit it out of the park. We are hooked. Our server was Jay and he was great! Last, but certainly NOT least, the desserts were outstanding. I'm not a dessert person however, the sweet potato cheesecake was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I love it here and will be back. Bravo!
This place is amazing!!! A friend told me about the place so I had to check it out and I’m glad I did. Wait wasn’t long place has packed great atmosphere seemed like everyone were having an amazing time even the staff were upbeat and happy great start to the night for us. Grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited quick service with a smile I love it when that happens. We got seated and I feel like I ordered the whole menu and enjoyed every bite also recommended grabbing a bunch of things off the menu and share it between your group cause it’s hard to decide on just a couple of things. We had such a great time didn’t realize how much time actually went by. I recommend this place not only if you’re in the area but definitely worth the drive which is what we did and will do it often.
This place is urbanly modern decorated with bright graffiti which makes you feel warm and welcomed. The atmosphere was good for a Sunday night I'm sure on other days it's busier. The service was on point and friendly the food came out with perfect timing. Food was delicious nothing else to say. Will come back to get more from other sections of the menu.
First timer this weekend and everything was excellent. Everything we tried was packed with flavor, and the mix of Japanese-inspired dishes were so unique. The staff was friendly and made great recommendations, and the whole vibe of the place is just fun and welcoming. Already excited to come back — highly recommend!
The best restaurant EVER, no exaggeration the food was life changing the hospitality was on point and the atmosphere of the graffiti walls was so captivating. Would totally recommend to all people of the 305. Chef Raheem was so cool and nice.
Shiso provided our family outing of 10 people a simply extraordinary experience with superb appetizers, entrees, and drinks. The chorizo stuffed shishito peppers, cornbread bites, brisket croquettes and stracciacella spread are all stars served seemingly instantly after the chef posted them. A small and pleasantly professional team of servers quietly presented each round of appetizers with an orchestration impossible to match in my experience. The smoked braised rib entree and Chilean sea bass with coconut curry sauce wowed us all. A sophisticated and slightly funky interior blended the Wynwood art scene with an upscale sophistication perfectly. Go!
brought my work team here for a 16 person dinner with a pre fixed menu, when we arrived they were informed of some allergies that conflicted with the menu. Within minutes, they shifted the entire pre fixed menu they had planned on to accommodate everyone, and each course was excellent. Nothing was left over, great shareable plates for a large group or even a date night, i would recommend this place to anyone especially considering the indoor/outdoor atmosphere and quality of their drinks.
Visiting from Denver and loved this so much! Was a recommendation from our friends who are locals. Incredible Asian / Latin fusion flavors, upbeat and vibey ambience and amazing service. Will come back next time we’re in town.
Easily my favorite restaurant in Miami. I came for the first time months ago and hoped when I brought all my visitors months later that it would meet the hype but immediately exceeded expectations. The service is 11/10 and food somehow matches.
We are foodies, and this was a top 3 restaurant in all of Miami! And to make it even better, the service was phenomenal!! Ask for Juan, you will not regret it!!! 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back!
The food at Shiso is fantastic- from bbq specialties like chicken lollipops to neo-sushi fare like uni on corn bread. The uni rice dish is amazing. Also really like the ambiance tho’ the music was a bit too loud for normal conversation. All in all this is one of the best restaurants in Miami.
5 Stars — A Must-Visit in Miami’s Fusion Scene Shiso is a gem in the heart of Miami that effortlessly blends the bold, comforting flavors of traditional Asian cuisines with a modern, creative twist. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is chic yet welcoming — a perfect balance of Miami cool and warm hospitality. The menu is tight, focused, and brilliantly curated. Every dish feels intentional, like it’s been tested and perfected a dozen times before making it to your table. Addictive. Cocktails here are just as strong as the food game — inventive without trying too hard, and mixed with precision. The staff knows their menu and makes killer recommendations. Service is smooth, attentive, and fast, without ever feeling rushed. Shiso isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make it a point to stop here. It’s one of those places where you’ll already be planning your next visit before you leave.
Can’t say enough good things about Shiso. From the staff to the drinks to the food, everything was a 12/10. Our server, Asher was fantastic, everything he recommend was phenomenal. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Danny and the general manager James were awesome and made sure we had the best experience. If you are in Wynwood go to Shiso!
We just left Shiso and are already planning our next visit-it’s fantastic! The setting is low key glamorous, the service extremely personal and most of all the food—the food is 10/10! We started with cocktails, which were super creative. We tried a vodka Japanese style mojito and a cocktail I can’t remember the name of that had clarified tomato and herbs with vodka that was incredible! The food-we started with the crispy rice with king crab, sausage stuffed shishitos, and the Shiso salad (a delicious Japanese style Caesar). They were all incredible! For the mains we ordered the curry Chilean sea bass, which was super flavorful and the crispy eggplant. We had Japanese cheesecake for dessert and it was all amazing! Love this place!
Chef Raheem and his team have done it again. From the moment you step in, the ambiance sets the tone w/elevated rooftop vibes, perfectly curated music, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. The meals were nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. You can taste the passion and precision in every bite. Oxtail Udon noodles 10/10. The drinks were AMAZING. And the service? Impeccable. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Chef Raheem continues to raise the bar—absolutely immaculate.
An absolute new gem in Wynwood! The atmosphere was fantastic with great music and a gorgeous vibe. The food was even better! Each dish somehow outdid the last. The sweet potato croquette is a for sure must try. They blew my mind away! My server Jay was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and easily guided us through the menu and concept of the restaurant. And manager Andy was helpful and offered some great recommendations that my table loved! Will definitely be bringing friends and family here in the near future!
Without a doubt, one of the best and most unique dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. You can tell a lot of intention and thought went into making this place what it is! I came from out of town and I’m so glad to have a guaranteed go-to spot the next time I’m in Miami. It’s cool to find somewhere that can do both the intimate meal with amazing food or fun group dinner that ends in a night out vibe. The atmosphere was super cool/edgy (backlit bar is unreal!) but inviting, and every server or staff member I spoke to was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable of the entire menu. One thing that really stood out to me was how creative and personalized the bar program was. The bartender asked me the type of cocktail I like and gave me one inspired by a caprese salad- SO good!! I ordered it again and even more throughout the night. Every dish I had nailed it, but be sure to try the bluefin tuna nigiri, chicken lollipops, and bbq pork belly gunkan. Just so much flavor and melts in your mouth. Walked out with my pants tighter and my stomach happier! Cannot recommend enough
The food here is asian fusion with Japanese as main character. It is delicious and perfectly executed. We had duck dumplings which come in a sour/sweet sauce with lots of Umami. The Toro bbq was a star. I am still dreaming about the Udon short rib. Cocktail menu is variated with interesting takes on the classics. Ohhh the dessert: a corn la a cake!!! Just order it. The service is attentive and they all seemed to be in a good working environment. They seemed to have time to tend their tables and did not seem overworked or stressed out. ( it is hard to enjoy a meal when the staff is struggling). Our server ( Orlando) was very knowledgeable and kind. We specially appreciated the “no rush “ and “it is ok to only have one drink” vibe. It is also a gorgeous rooftop restaurant decorated with greenery and design pieces. Surely, Will come back .
My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food was spectacular. I had the brisket croquette and they were outstanding. I followed with the sea bass and the crispy potatoes. Amazing! Daniel our server assisted us in our choices and it was remarkable. Thank you for a great evening!
Not enough good things to say! Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner & we both were truly impressed from the second we walked in. At first you walk through these dark steps that lead you to this beautiful outdoor rooftop with great music & decor. Then you head into the dining area that has this very cool city vibe too it. Our server Daniel was so sweet and knowledgeable about the entire menu. He was super helpful and was letting us take our time with what we wanted and then ordering course by course. Now for the food 10/10 Tasty, fragrant, beautiful. Nough said!
Shiso isn’t just a new Miami hot spot in the heart of Wynwood, it’s a true conversation piece. From plate to playlist, to the incredible cocktail innovations, every move is intentional. My first experience at Shiso was a true revelation—a unique fusion of Japanese and Caribbean soul. Chef Raheem, the creative force behind the menu, delivers a dining experience that is as vibrant and complex as the space itself. There’s a pulse here that is always warm and inviting. The menu is a reflection of that same energy. Every bite of the nigiri assortment felt elevated with a touch of tropical satisfaction. The toro topped with uni was a standout—while the bluefin, hamachi, and scallop offered delicate, nuanced flavors that showed off the kitchen’s technique and restraint the let the freshness of the fish shine through. One of the my favorite highlights came in the form of the oxtail udon noodles. Rich, savory, and laughably delicious, this dish was made for sharing—even though I held most of it for myself. The broth and fresh egg yolk clung to the udon with just the right amount of heft, and the oxtail was fall-apart tender, adding a soulful, slow-cooked depth of flavor. Our server Jay was also highly intuitive about the menu and the thought process behind each dish and cocktail. Our bartender Pedro shared with us his knowledge of the worldly cocktail inspiration, his love for chartreuse, and clinical precision of executing such a unique menu. The life changing menu was only matched by the hospitality we received from everyone we encountered.
The trifecta of food, service, and atmosphere. The All-In podcast hyped this place and I'm glad to say it lives up. We ordered a variety of food and it was all excellent. The drinks were all phenomenal, I especially enjoyed the refreshing and nuanced swizzle. On the food side the standouts were the oxtail udon noodles and the A5 wagyu nigiri. A close contender was the conch nigiri. The ambiance is also top notch as is the service. I really recommend Shiso.
This place is incredible. Every detail is thought through and I feel so taken care of - the music, the atmosphere, they even have floss in the women’s restroom. 10/10! I might even come back here later on my trip! Get the Toro for sure. A must-see in Miami!
We came as a group of eight and somehow managed to order almost the entire menu—and every single dish was exceptional. Truly, there wasn’t one thing that didn’t impress us. Each plate was better than the last, and you could feel how special and thoughtfully made the food was. On top of that, the service was warm and attentive .Everything was just amazing.
What an unbelievable concept and atmosphere. As a guest, I have no doubts that you will certainly be blown away as soon as you arrive. I had the privilege to have been in attendance for their private preview dinner which showcased a 10+ course menu of surreal dishes and I couldn't exaggerate anymore even if I tried. Everything was so good and delicious that it's almost ridiculous !!! I have been among the multitude of Chef Raheem's worldwide fans for a real long time and I couldn't be happier for him with this new venue. Wynwood has once more outdone itself with the arrival of Shiso and I truly believe it is going to be a perennial and enduring stable for this city.
The Shiso Fried Chicken at Shiso is dangerously good. Crispy, flavorful, and the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite like “wow… life is beautiful.” I came to Wynwood for art but apparently the real masterpiece was this chicken
We went here tonight and loved it. The space is beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was soo nice. We had Jah and she was fantastic. I would highly recommend this spot. The corn bread, udon, and croquettes were a favorite. It’s a great date night where you can get delicious food and not completely go over budget (at least in Miami prices). My friend and I got more than enough to fill us and our bill with tip was $100 each.
Second time here, first for drinks second for dinner - Both, incredible! Justin did an amazing job at recommending not only great drinks, but some amazing plates (highly reco the oxtail noodles). 10/10!!!!
I can’t stop raving about Shiso in Wynwood! I went with friends two weeks ago and the food blew me away—I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I went back the following week and had the same incredible experience. The service was outstanding both times, and on my second visit the chef, Raheem, even came out to greet us and shake our hands, which made the night extra special. My husband and I are big foodies, and this is honestly some of the best food we’ve had in Miami. We’re already planning our third visit because everything we tried was unforgettable. Some of our favorites: the sliced hamachi, stuffed shishito peppers, uni rice, brisket, croquettes, cheesecake, and baked Alaska—all absolutely out of this world. On National Cheeseburger Day, I ordered their cheeseburger (I know, unexpected at a place like this!) and it ended up being one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I really hope they keep it on the menu. The cocktails were also fresh, creative, and perfectly balanced, which made the whole dining experience even better. If you’re looking for a restaurant in Miami with exceptional food, top-notch service, and a menu that keeps you coming back, Shiso is the spot.
Truly one of the best meals I have ever experienced. The Nigiri is a must have. The oxtail udon noodles were phenomenal, as well as the duck dumplings, brisket croquettes, sea bass, and the burger (off menu). The drinks were creative and unique, and the restaurant itself is upscale, welcoming, and luxurious without being pretentious. I have been to Asian-Fusion restaurants in the past, and many are basically Japanese restaurants with pretty minimal fusion elements, but Shiso was truly Asian/Caribbean Fusion. I have never had anything like it. It was impossible to pick a favorite dish as they were all amazing! I can't wait to go back and explore the menu further!
Same owner of Kyu. Happy Hour deal WED to SAT 5-7pm, $12 cocktails/ $8 beer/ $7 wine // $10 food snacks menu and $8 handrolls… Choose your vibe: Outside offers DJ beats and draft cocktails, while the indoor space leans into old-school hip-hop and more complex craft drinks.). *********
It's been a while since Miami showcased an all around 5 star dining experience. Shiso has thought of the entire experience, hitting all the senses at just the right point. The decor transports you to a slice of industrial Miami Japanese fusion. The live DJ does not discriminate between genres or eras, with every song bringing you a piece of nostalgia or those shoulder sways you can't help but make. The art, seating, lighting and texture throughout is thoughtfully curated. And then, the reason you came...the cocktails and dishes were out of this world. Every single bite had us wishing we ordered even more to try. The combinations transport you to nostalgic flavors or open your palette to a new experience. The service was unbelievable. I can't remember the last time I had this kind of service in Miami. Our waiter, Jay, made thoughtful recommendations ensuring our water glasses were always full, table tidy, and the rhythm of the dishes were in sync. I can't wait to go back and continue to try the rest of the menu. Congratulations to Chef Raheem and the entire Shiso team!
Awesome dinner. Fun was amazing. Especially loved the short ribs and udon noodle dish. The vibe really sets it apart - great music, open air seating and an energy that makes it perfect for date night or dinner with friends. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely will be going back.
I can't explain the amazing experience that is Shiso. From the food to the ambience to amazing wait staff (Breanna was a boss). The duck dumplings is a must, the truffle butter that accompanied the steak, bathe me in it please. I genuinely can't wait to return to treat myself to such an exemplary dining experience again!
Trendy covered rooftop restaurant with amazing fusion bites. The Miami spice menu allowed us to try a few of their of dishes which is def an open invitation to come back for more. My friends ordered drinks (🤌🏼 of strength) and additional side dishes. Dishes were fun and a twist on classics.
We had an absolutely lovely experience! The food was great, drinks were delicious, but the warm and welcoming staff absolutely made our night. The portions were generous as well - even with the drinks! You won't leave hungry or thirsty here. Come back for their special events!
Unbelievable Culinary Experience From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for something special. This restaurant delivers an atmosphere that is both intimate and electric, and service that is absolutely impeccable — warm, attentive, and flawlessly timed. Every dish I tried was a masterpiece. The duck dumplings were rich and delicate, and the sliced hamachi with strawberry ponzu was an inspired balance of bright, sweet, and umami. The miso cornbread was a genius fusion—comforting yet elevated—and the Japanese A5 ribeye was simply perfection: melt-in-your-mouth tender, deeply flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Chilean sea bass entrée deserves its own spotlight — buttery, perfectly cooked, and resting in a broth so flavorful I would have happily sipped it on its own. It was a standout even among a table full of highlights. As a sushi lover, I can say without hesitation: the sushi here is untouchable and as fresh as can be. The salmon belly nigiri, toro, and bluefin tuna were pristine and luscious. The BBQ short rib gunkan was unexpected and unforgettable. Each cocktail told its own story, whether it was a smoky, spirit-forward sip or something bright, refreshing, and unexpected. I was consistently surprised and impressed by how thoughtful and layered the flavor profiles were — no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just pure artistry in a glass. The bartenders weren’t just skilled — they were passionate, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more memorable with their energy and attention to every detail. To top it all off, the desserts were phenomenal—refined, creative, and indulgent in the best way. This was not just a meal; it was a journey. I genuinely believe it was the best dining experience of my life, and I’ll be back very soon.
Absolutely loved Shiso! The staff were so helpful and clearly passionate about the food and the whole concept - everyone we interacted with was amazing. The food was incredible, such a great blend of flavours in every dish, and the cocktails were spot on too. The atmosphere was really lovely, and they went out of their way to make my birthday feel special (even brought out a dessert on the house!). Highly recommend and would definitely come back!
What a great evening we had at Shiso! Orlando’s service was attentive and he made great recommendations! Our food favorites were the nigiris, smoked short rib and oxtail udon. Only dish that didn’t have an absolute wow factor for us was the Shiso salad. Cocktails were fantastic. We will 100% be adding Shiso to our regular restaurant rotation and bring friends when they visit Miami
Shiso Miami is an absolute hidden gem! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. We ordered the oxtail noodles, duck dumplings, and chicken lollipops—each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The oxtail noodles were rich and comforting, the duck dumplings had the perfect balance of crispy and tender, and the chicken lollipops were incredibly juicy and well-seasoned. On top of that, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was vibrant yet cozy. If you’re in Miami, this spot is a must-try! Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!
Just an all around phenomenal experience, and our second time dining at Shiso. We went on a Saturday night at what would likely be considered a bit early for the Miami dinner scene (630-7pm) and had no problem securing two seats at the bar. Our usual dining preference anyway. For starters, the space is beautiful. The bar is beautiful. It is open concept and there was live music, which was an unexpected delight. The staff is kind and friendly, and seem to enjoy each others company, which I find always adds to the ambiance of the space. The first thing that will capture your attention is the drink menu which is beautifully made and thoughtfully curated - and the drinks deliver. Just truly next level. If you enjoy mixology, cocktails or just a delicious cocktail, you will not be disappointed. I may have to come back to buy a copy of the cocktail book alone. We loved every dish we tried - between the sushi, cold and hot dishes - we enjoyed every bite. At the end, we still had a bit of an appetite so asked for a lighter recommendation and tried the eggplant katsu... wow. Just delicious. Bonus points for having vegetarian friendly dishes that are equally delicious. We feel lucky to have this in our neighborhood. We will absolutely be back.
Beautiful outdoors area with plenty of foliage, the bar inside has the prettiest light up table. The bar indoors has an extensive and fantastic cocktail selection with themes for Japan, Italy, Mexico, Brazil. Fantastic happy hour from 5-7, with house wine for $7. We had the straciatella (amazing), shiso salad, and sausage stuffed shishito for happy hour. My favorite was the straciatella. I highly recommend the king crab for dinner. Friendly staff, spacious restaurant, great rooftop views. Perfect for a date night, girl’s night, birthday dinners, graduation dinners, bachelorette or bachelor dinners.
Easily my favorite restaurant in Miami right now. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone — warm, energetic, and effortlessly cool. The service is consistently on point, and the food? Next level. The Udon Noodles, Duck Dumplings, and Short Rib are non-negotiables — bold, balanced, and unforgettable. These may be the highlights — and truly some of my favorite dishes anywhere — but the rest of the menu holds its own. Chef Raheem Sealey is the real deal. His creativity and precision in the kitchen are next-level — the man’s a culinary genius.
Shiso is literally AMAZING! 100/10 experience! I can’t stop dreaming about the sea bass on the menu! I had the best time and recommend this to anyone looking for a cool date night, girls night, or spot to show out of town guests. You will not be disappointed with the delicious menu, hand crafted cocktails, and next level service! If you haven’t gone yet you need to make this your next night out!
Atmosphere needs a 6th star! It’s an absolute gem of a restaurant! The food, music, and ambiance are all top-notch. The food is small plates, so we ordered a bunch of different things to share. The BBQ ribs and smoked brisket are the best ever! The chef is a master! The sushi was unique and delicious, and there’s even beef sushi!!!! Which makes it the perfect date night for everyone! Very well done! A must-see in Miami!
Came here for dinner and was impressed! The ambiance is lovely and the food was very good. The oxtail udon noodles were phenomenal, and the nigiri was delicious. The duck dumplings, however, weren’t my favorite - they lacked a bit of flavor, so I wouldn’t order those again. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back!
Shiso has an easygoing Wynwood vibe with plenty of space, plus both indoor and outdoor bar seating. The room feels relaxed rather than scene-y, and the staff is genuinely warm and approachable—always appreciated in Miami. The martini was excellent, and Odessa behind the bar was attentive throughout the meal. The plates are beautifully presented, but the flavor profiles leaned a bit too aggressive for my taste. The bluefin tuna with smoked pepper relish is conceptually great, yet the relish overwhelms the fish—the acidity and heat dominate so much that the tuna itself disappears. It would shine more if the relish were treated as an accent rather than a blanket. The broccolini with fermented black bean vinaigrette and furikake is another strong idea, but again the sauce is so punchy that the vegetable gets lost. It works better as a bold contrast to rice than as a supporting side to the mains. The BBQ pork belly gunkan had the best balance of the three dishes I tried, with good texture and seasoning, though it still didn’t quite deliver the rich, decadent bite I was hoping for. Overall, a pleasant experience with great service and drinks, but the kitchen could use a lighter hand so the quality of the ingredients can really come through. Solid 7/10.
Asian fusion in a Wynwood setting🍣 We enjoyed a nice dinner at the bar with a Great atmosphere! The fish was fresh and the flavors were tasty ⭐️ Hamachi Dish 🍨 Cornbread Baked Alaska 🗣️Make sure to try a drink from the unique menu 🗣️
Overall a really nice experience I would definitely come back but one star off for a few of the menu items being… disappointing. What we ordered: Sliced Hamachi 8/10 (pictured) loved the freshness of the fish and the little salad on top added a delicious texture to the dish Seabass Crudo 6/10 (pictured) too.. wet? Fresh fish too and great flavours but hard to eat and I felt like it needed something like green onions or some sort of micro greens Blue fin tuna maki 7/10 it was fine nothing special Salmon belly maki 9/10 great flavour favourite sushi dish King crab gunkan 2/10 this was what I was most excited for it just was sooo bad. The crab was way too mayod and it tasted like cold crab salad. Has huge potential to be delicious I would swap out the sauce Smoked Brisket Croquette 8/10 (pictured) well balanced and fried perfectly. Oxtail Udon Noodles 7/10 udon noodles perfect and oxtail cooked very well but it was too salty and I think it was just a one off cause if it wasn’t so salty it would’ve been my favourite dish of the night Smoked short rib 3/10 (pictured) it didn’t taste smoked at all. It was blackened but lacked flavour. When you say something’s smoked the flavour has to back it up and it just DIDNT. I wish it had tho the presentation was cool Corn bread 8/10 delicious but wish they were a tiny bit bigger!! Corn bread merengue 8/10 I like the sauce and honestly who doesn’t love a good corn bread Chocolate rum cake 9/10 super soft and delicious and had a nice kick of rum in it. Ambiance 10/10 - the music the vibes were just it. I’m definitely going back to try different items. But most of our recos were made by the server (minus the sushi)

I visit Miami a few times a year to vacation and checkout any new up and coming restaurants. Shiso was at the top of my list this trip. The entrance and atmosphere were really cool. Definitely one of the most unique experiences I can remember. Unfortunately the food was just good, nothing stood out as great or spectacular. The drinks were decent as well, but nothing to write home about. I would say the menu needs refinement. Too much clashing of flavors between bbq sauce and aged cheese on a lot of dishes. The scallop crudo was easily my least favorite dish. The Baked Alaska dessert was the best of the night. I’d recommend adding more shareable entree sized options and more noodle dishes.
Chef Sealey didn't disappoint me. I came because I was a big fan of drinking pigs and they participate in Miami spice. oxtail udon drove me to here and it was great. ribs were good as expected. My companion loved the desserts. Miso doughnuts sound scary but they were in good balance of savory and sweet. cocktails were good as well as the service. its pricy though. but it's everywhere in Wynwood now
Wynwood hot 🔥culinary and social spots are blooming nonstop and Shiso is here to prove that their smokehouse 🌏Asian fusion style will leave a footprint 👣in the district. The wide-open Terraza serves as the perfect environment to gather the very best selection of gastronomic recipes, fancy 🍸🍹cocktails, and social hype. Top picks: - their Smoked Sticky 🍖Ribs charged with juicy meat and topped with crunchy puff rice that will crack on each bite; joined by the Sweet Potato 🍠Croquette with smoked brisket, white BBQ, and Parmesan, which easily shreds into your mouth if they are served to you right after is fried. The Shiso Chicken🍗 is right behind, thanks to the perfectly fried and smoked blend, with scallion 🧇waffles taste. The sweet-savory asian american 🍯southern mix clearly stands out in this recipe. Even though I was expecting the rolls 🍣to leave a stamp on my taste buds they were just ok, it was an exotic surprise to taste the 🐂Toro piece with tobiko and uni, but it felt a little bit short in size and flaming taste, same happened with the unagi roll, that was supposed to blast your buds due to the puff rice, but the sparks just stayed at the first bite. Sipping on their variety of cocktails, I could easily narrow it down to their Martenilli Sling which stirs Bombay 💎Saphire Gin, Hana🍏 Apple Sake, Falernum, and allspice dram, it evokes 🫚ginger flares, which might be because of the apple sake. Another refreshing sip was delivered by their Wasabi🌼 Margarita with Patron Reposado, Yuzu liquor, and wasabi lime, twisting a new version of this classic 🇲🇽Mexican cocktail with Asian inspirations. The third choice would have to be their Ume Old 🥃Fashioned which personally I’m not that much of a fan of because of its bitter taste, but had to admit it looks very sexy because of its orange 🍊peel decoring the iceberg🧊 cube. The last and one which I wouldn’t like to try again is their Rum 🍹Cocktail, maybe because I’m not that much of a fan of their recipe, or maybe because I just had too much drink. Separate mention to their Espresso 🍸Martini version the Churro Carajillo, which I expected to have a signature taste, but it was just like a sweeter version of a traditional Espresso Martini. A sweet Shiso kind of ending, their Miso Flan 🍩Donut, is gently glazed and filled with a creamy whip that will foam your mouth all around. Thanks Miko and Sean for you on the spot attention, very Japanese representative. So Shiso your Wynwood visit by hitting this Asian fusion 💨smokehouse, that will unhook you with some interesting wood-fired BBQ 🍖🍗cooking techniques with a 🎌Japanese base and Caribbean🇯🇲 Soul inspiration.

Went for happy hour on a Friday and tried 6 plates. I’d say they were maybe a 6.5-8.0 range. It’s a nice bar atmosphere, and a really oversized outdoor section that was empty. This place can handle 350 people easily but had maybe 40 - all camped around the bar for HH which is appreciated that it ends at 7. Other places stop at 6-6:30 and locals definitely take notice. Overall it’s worth checking out. Food was good but didn’t blow me away. Now for a few details that few will or should read. The crudo was a bit too out of the fridge cold for my liking but a nice sauce with it. The hand rolls are 4 sliced makimono pieces, so not a conical hand roll and I found that strange. Just feel it was misnamed. The bar itself is like an onyx glowstone with a backlight underneath, so the whole bar counter glows. Then the app plates they bring out are black. So my big gripe is you can’t see the food very well on the plate with insufficient top lighting. As a person from the industry, I just found that detail strange to present the dish well out of the kitchen, but patrons need to bring out phone flashlights to see the food against a bright bar counter with the food plated on a dark background. Design sometimes doesn’t make operational sense. I’ll go back again and hope they do well. Just think I’d prefer to try new places or hit up my faves before I come back.
This NYE event was overpromised and massively underdelivered. $150 pp for a 5-course prix fixe that lasted 5 hours. The first course arrived an hour late, and food was served scattered—not by course—in small family-style portions that were nowhere near what was promised. We were a table of five, and we were told there would be “a lot of food,” yet we constantly had to ask what was still coming. Because we were so hungry, we ate each plate immediately, only to wait another 30–45 minutes for the next one, which was often only a partial course. This makes you seriously question how this event was planned. With a pre-fixed menu, there’s no excuse for not serving complete courses to all tables at the same time. Drink orders took forever. The promised entertainment amounted to one champagne toast at midnight. A countdown. And that's it! No celebration, no atmosphere - The DJ. Put on some music that wasn’t bad, but Everyone stayed seated, still waiting for food. The food itself was good, but that doesn’t excuse the terrible pacing, poor service, and zero accountability. No explanation, no apology, no service recovery—not even comped drinks.
Our experience at Shiso was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. The most alarming issue: my husband found a piece of plastic in his fish. That alone is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one charging premium prices and presenting itself as high-end. It completely destroyed our trust in the kitchen. The service was equally frustrating. It was painfully slow all night, and to make matters worse, they forgot multiple dishes we ordered. We had to flag someone down repeatedly just to get updates, and by the time the missing items were acknowledged, the momentum of the meal was already ruined. The atmosphere didn’t help. The music was obnoxiously loud — not energetic, just overwhelming. We could barely hear each other across the table, which made what should have been a nice dinner feel chaotic and stressful. As for the food itself (plastic aside), it was mediocre at best and wildly overpriced for the quality. Nothing we had justified the cost. In Miami, where there are countless outstanding Japanese and sushi options, this simply doesn’t compete. Between the food safety issue, inattentive service, and uncomfortable environment, we will not be returning — and I would strongly caution others before spending their money here.
