Funny story , I came to this place 18 years ago and because it’s not the area that I live never came back. Today, I saw it and immediately came in. Still amazing , unbelievable food and the services it’s really good. The portions are really good and if you order the soup it’s for two people so that’s a good deal. You won’t regret this place ! 100 % recommended

Highly rated dim sum and highest tasting fried rice I've ever had. Must try. Period. Also, shout out to Ema* our server for not gouging us on the price. She suggested we only buy one plate because the portion. That's real service. Hallmark of a great business.

Best Chinese restaurant in Miami! My family, friends, co-workers dine here and love it! Over 40 years in business cannot go wrong. Give it a go! I’m salivating writing this post thinking of the Peking Duck 🤤

Finally took the time to go after so many people recommending it. It’s the best Chinese restaurant we’ve tried ! Reasonable price, great service, not too loud and can accommodate groups. The food was perfect, tasteful, warm and comforting, well definitely go back 🙂

Good chinese restaurant for dim sum and more. It offers many varieties. Food is delicious, less greasy and the place is big and clean. We came here a couple of times and always ordered plenty of food without breaking the bank. It's a very popular place so be ready to wait a little bit to be seated. Must try!!!

Kind of expensive compared to other places, but coming from a country that has only one option for dim sum this is THE place. I love how fast the service was, since you don't need to order. They will pass with a cart to every table and you can choose what you'll like. Of course you have a menu to order more complex meals. They give you free water but you can order other drinks if you'll like.

Delicious dim sum at Tropical Chinese! We loved the juicy pork buns and soup dumplings—so flavorful. Wine and sake were a great touch. Our waiter Peter was super kind and helpful with the menu. Highly recommend!

Tropical Chinese in South Miami is a fantastic choice for authentic Chinese cuisine. Their amazing Dim Sum carts, especially during a rushed lunch, are a must-try, offering a wide variety of delicious and high-quality dumplings. The service is impressively fast and attentive, making for a smooth dining experience. They come by your table almost instantly after sitting don with multiple carts carrying various Dim Sum baskets, staple Chinese appetizer dishes, and more. They also keep on coming, so its very easy to order extras. There is of course also a menu to order off, featuring the cart goodies, as well as more staple dishes like Peking Duck, and rice and noodle dishes. The restaurant boasts a nice atmosphere, and the large window providing a view into the bustling kitchen adds a unique and interesting touch. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Tropical Chinese for a truly enjoyable meal.

Really excellent old school dim sum restaurant. We went on a Sunday for lunch. They bring around the dim sum on carts. So many different choices! The dumplings are great. Unfussy, but delicious. Everything is fresh & the experience is first rate. Highly recommended! It’s like walking back in time to the 80s.

Absolutely love this place! I’m honestly surprised this restaurant only has 4.3 stars this was my second time here and I’m even more impressed than the first. Every single dish is packed with flavor and tastes so fresh and delicious. You can really tell they put effort into every detail. The variety of flavors in each dish is just amazing. I’m officially in love with this Chinese restaurant definitely the best one I’ve been to so far! Highly recommend!

We have been exploring Chinese cuisines and I can say this restaurant gave us a tasty experience. Our daughter wanted to taste as many dumplings as she could. They were cooked well and very tasty (shrimp dumplings, steam roast pork dumplings) we also tried the triple salute tofu- our server mentioned this is a very tasty sauce . The tofu was mixed with it not sautéed but more like poured over. The tofu was a silk consistency and if you know tofu it’s not easy to flavor, the sauce made the dish with the cabbage and onions. Will I order it again ?? I’ll probably try something else. We tried the shrimp fried rice - it was good. I would say the experience of eating at this establishment is mixed. I went with my family but on a Saturday evening you really can’t have a conversation because it was very loud because of the way the restaurant is. Jenny, our server was very friendly and explained the dishes when asked. She was a delight and made the experience very enjoyable. I would recommend this restaurant but next time we will go at a less busier time and order different dishes. Very busy and although on a Saturday still able to find parking in the plaza.

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor where it was described as the best Chinese food in the Miami area. Skeptical at first, I was pleasantly surprised: despite the unspectacular, almost indistinguishably generic strip mall location, once entering through the front door, you are immersed in an authentic Chinese atmosphere and decor. My qwest of finding an authentic Peking duck in ANY American restaurant has reached it's peak, and it was worth the wait. This is among the most authentic experiences I've had after coming back from Beijing - with a duck cooked to perfection with skin separating from the meat, crispy and glazed and awash with flavor. Moreover, the actual meat of the duck was made in a separate dish that was full of flavor and incredibly tasty. The service was impeccable and conversational, professional, and friendly. Do yourself a favor, and skip the faux elegant downtown "Asian Fusion" restaurants catering to the miniskirt Instagram crowd, and treat yourself to the best Peking Duck I've found so far on the South East Coast!

Best dim sum in Miami! They have carts Tuesdays to Sundays , and only during lunchtime. Some of my favorites are the shrimp shumai, the pork bun, the pot sticker or the shrimp parsley. Staff is super friendly and it’s always a quick eat, as soon as you sit down you choose the dim sums you want and can start eating straight away. Absolutely recommended

A
Andyy Scare (Lady Scare)

Staff we're really kind and always smiling and happy to serve you. Always looking at the table to see if drinks need to be refilled right away. And fast when it comes to taking orders and putting them in. The food was amazing as always. It's great when going to lunch since they have cart service from 12:00 to 3:00 with lots of different types of Dim Sung, they also have steamed vegetables and different kinds of meat sepreatly in carts of there own just in case if someone doesn't like Dim Sung. There's also a different menu for lunch if you don't like the things you see in the carts. This place is also a great spot to have dinner at, they have a completely different type of menu for dinner with both traditional Chinese food and nontraditional for people who just like the stuff that you usually get in a Chinese takeout box. But if you want to have an amazing experience then try there traditional stuff!!!

I really love to visit this restaurant, every detail of the dining experience in this restaurant is fantastic. The restaurant has very lovely decoration. The ambience is nice and suiting. I appreciated the menu with pictures to order that has been implemented. Excellent dim sum every single time and many many choices to order from. My favorite Chinese vegetable is the Bok choy and they cooked really nicely. Excellent customer service!!! :)

Delicious Dim sum for the Miami area They have what you’re Looking for all day everyday, you won’t be disappointed

A sweet Chinese local spot on Bird Road. This place has been here since 1984 serving authentic Hong Kong style push cart Dim Sum. These little bundles of joy are hand crafted in their kitchen, daily. The food is so flavorful and they have plenty of items on the menu. Dim sum and and buns are off the chain. The shrimp dim sum is one of my favorites and their red pepper steak is soooo good. I love the design of the restaurant, reminds me of pop art with a touch if organic and Chinese fusion. They have a main seating area, a private dining area, and a large linear bar. Aside from the great food, the experience is very fun and cool. You get to pick your plate from the carts, all kinds of different dim sum and other items like steamed sticky rice wrapped in leaves with shrimp and herbs. I really enjoy it here. I do know that the carts only happen a downtimes a day, so if you're looking for that experience I recommend calling ahead of time to verify the times.

My friends insisted I join them for Chinese they promised was the best in Florida. And boy they were right. I now know why they'd been patronizing this place for over 30 year. It is packed, so yes make a reservation and try to be on time. We were late and had to wait. But it was worth it. Usually I'm carful at Chinese restaurants because staples like friend rice , Singapore noodles tend to be oily, not here! The food came fast once we placed our orders. My order the lobster tail cooked in ginger scallions was flavorful and succulent. . If you like beef order the Mangolian, it's so tender it melts in your mouth. But seriously folks there were five of us the portions are generous so be prepared to go home with a doggie bag. Everything we ordered was amazing! This place attracts the who whose , you meet people from all over Prime minsters, tennis stars, hoteliers it's a fun loud atmosphere with an upbeat vibe and a great bar! A must go if you love Chinese. You won't regret it.( the last photo is of the owner Greg Yu with the Prime Minister of St Lucia Allen Chastanet who had been a patron of this restaurant since it's early days, Finally the met)

We already love this place, but we went yesterday afternoon to celebrate my grandmas birthday when it was a bit less busy, and it was even better than ever. The salt and pepper shrimp, the empire shrimp, and the honey garlic chicken were absolutely incredible. Our server Jenny was the best, and recommended a really great Saki for us too. It was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had out in a long time!

Omg the best authentic dim sum ever!! Great spot for lunch!! They come around with fried & steamed dim sum cart and you pick a la cart. We made our own sauce by mixing the hot sauce and soy sauce. The dim sum was delicious!! The general tso chicken was amazing as well!! The drinks were nice and strong. Service was good, even with the language barrier. This place is a great find and hope they continue to stay in business. Very clean. Took temperature before being seated. Give water bottles now since covid. Parking lot is tight but huge area. Check it out for lunch, you’ll thank me!!

Best Chinese food in Miami, and one of the best in US hands down. Every dish, while I've had it elsewhere, is just made tastier here. It's a remarkable restaurant, and the prices are about the same as other Chinese restaurants. Loved everything we got (which was almost every dim sum they made there)!

We were so pleased with our dim sum experience. They checked temperature, sprayed sanitizer for every guests coming, and offered water bottles instead of traditional water cups. The food was incredibly cooked with extra delicacy, it is among the best dim sum food I’ve ever tasted. I recommend the Leek and Shrimp dumpling. We’re first time visitors to the town and will definitely come back for this exquisite dim sum experience.

First time to the restaurant. We had their duck dinner they are famous for it was delicious and a great experience. They cut it up and make small wraps appetizer size and then later bring out the rest in a meal dish. Dishes are to share and their appetizers also delicious ordered several. But in the more costly side. The meal for 4 was $250. Bad if me I forgot to take pictures because I was enjoying it so much

Mr. Freshcut (TJ)

Went to Tropical Chinese with my wife and daughter and we all loved it. We had the Mongolian beef, scallion pancakes, shrimp and scallop dumplings, and the spicy wontons everything was fresh and full of flavor. The food came out with just the right timing between dishes so we could really enjoy each part of the meal without feeling rushed. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and even though the restaurant has been around for years, the atmosphere feels updated and comfortable. Definitely a place we’ll come back to.

5 out of 5 STARZ!!!!! A must visit if you are in the Miami-Dade area and craving some authentic Beijing style Duck or Dim Sum treats! From the ambiance of the lighting and the tea lamps, to the music and the service, this is a delightful treat for the heart as well as the palate. The wait staff is very attentive, and the service is fast and efficient. We had the Peking Duck......need I say more....crispy and DEELICIOUS, every bite of crispy skin, pancake, and plum sauce was better than the last. The cooked duck was savory, not gamey, and the veggie fried rice perfectly complemented our protein. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Quiele aloz flito, bien flito de Puelto lico Mila que bonito tiene la chinita los ojitos hahaha jk jk. Unbelievable food, I haven't had Chinese like this in a really long time, why am I now just finding out about this place?! Had dim sum, chicken momos and shrimp sui mai with a cold Tsingtao pale lager from China followed by a savory and very delicious fried rice and general tsos chicken. The restaurant was really nice inside too, very clean and the kitchen looked really clean too, there's a big view window to the kitchen. Can't wait to come back to this spot.

I love this place! Waiters are so nice, the restaurant is clean and authentic. The food is perfect, I have been missing dimsums and rolls so much since I left Asia, but dumplings here are great, prices are reasonable, and tips are not included, so I left even more than I usually do in Miami. Thank you for tea and a cookie with a prediction! It is better to go there with a group friends or family to try different kinds of dishes and dumplings! Also try to be there at lunch time - they have special authentic carts with food right in the restaurant which make you feel like in Asia for a moment! Thank you!

By far one of the best Chinese restaurants in Miami. Tropical Chinese is definitely not the cheapest. but the portions and quality is much better than your average cheap and greasy Chinese restaurant. My only complaint is that they don’t offer duck sauce packets on take out orders.

A

It has been a while since my family and I haven't come here.... this Chinese restaurant is the BEST of miami!!! I always order jasmine tea, wonton soup, sweat and sour chicken, and special rice. My brother in law loves the honey shared beef and the chicken paws ( I could never!!!.. but he says they are awesome). I recommend this place.

Came for dim sum on a Saturday morning right when it opened. A dozen or so people waiting outside but everyone got a table. We had basically every dumpling available and all were excellent. Our favorites were the pork & shrimp shumai, the shrimp & leek dumplings, and the shrimp & scallop dumplings but honestly they were all enjoyable.

M
Michael W

It’s really different from what you usually experience in miami. Chinese owned restraint for decades in a street mall near tropical park. Very well known for dumplings, but plenty of other great stuff on the menu. Perfect for family lunch!

한량

My friend who went with me said that it was an authentic Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant. My Chinese friend ordered it, so I don't know the exact name of the food, but the taste was great. However, there was a bit of a wait and it was rainy and quite chilly for Miami weather, so waiting was a bit boring. We do not take reservations, so we recommend getting there early.

I’ve heard that Tropical Chinese is a beloved family tradition for many, and I finally had the chance to experience it myself. This place truly exemplifies a traditional Chinese restaurant at its best. The restaurant is impeccably clean, very spacious, and features an extensive menu along with an impressive wine cellar. The food was excellent—fresh, not greasy, and without overpowering sauces, giving it a homemade quality that really stood out to me. The prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed. I will definitely return whenever I crave Chinese food.

Tropical Chinese is my favorite Dim Sum restaurant in South Florida. A must in the dining scene in the region. This review is for the Dim Sum experience, the food that comes in carts circulating the dining area from brunch time to late lunch time. Keep that in mind and look for other reviews if you would like to explore other parts of the menu, or the dinner menu. My favorites are in the photos, I tend to like the steamed dishes. Food has been consistently delicious for over a decade. Service is respectful and efficient, waiters will not chit chat, though, and may push you to get some of the dishes if you don’t know what to order. Show them the pictures in this review if you would like, or point to what you want in the carts. Take a printed menu at the entrance so you know what you are eating 🙂. This is a restaurant to be open minded. Also a busy venue on weekends, and they take no reservations for lunch, so you might wait a bit to get a table. If you want peace and calm, arrive at noon, or during the week.

We came here on a recommendation from a friend and boy, was it a great recommendation!! Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious! See photos for details! It seriously had the best fried rice I have ever had. It didn’t taste super fried or greasy like most Chinese restaurants are! It was fast service, straight to point and delicious food. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be coming here again!!

There's a reason they've been serving up quality dining since 1984, the food is amazing. We dined on Thursday to celebrate a 50th bday party and there wasn't a single plate we didn't try that didn't blow our minds! the white fish in honey was so good, I ordered a second plate. The owner joined us for a while, he's a class act. this is the best dim sum in the entire South Florida

Tropical Chinese Restaurant is a gem that has stood the test of time, delighting diners for over 40 years with its authentic cuisine and consistent quality. This restaurant boasts numerous awards, and it's easy to see why.The menu is a testament to true Chinese flavors, with dishes like succulent duck and mouthwatering dumplings that are sure to please. Despite its popularity, especially during lunch hours, the experience is well worth any wait.As a regular, you've likely savored their offerings and appreciate the range of options available for dinner. It's no surprise that you keep coming back for more!

First time I went for Dim Sum. Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Just two of us going and got a table right away. The person that went with me said it was the closest they have tasted to Chinatown in NYC here in Miami. I don't know but if I went to Chinatown in NYC, I would hope they're as good as this place.

The place was very busy tonight. So you had to wait a little bit for the server. The lucky Bubba beer was good. The Appetizer was good. We didn't get a chance to try the Dumplings. They were out of them..😥😥

This place truly is a not so hidden gem in a random strip mall, because if you grew up in Miami like I did, Tropical Chinese, is very well-known for Chinese food that sparkles. From the moment you walk in the decor makes you forget that you’re in Westchester. It’s cute and modern with the colorful blossom lanterns, and the fun modern wallpaper. This could easily be a fun casual date spot or a great place to have a meal with the whole family. And being a Monday night the restaurant was pretty busy. We ordered the shrimp wonton soup to start and share. It was perfectly delicious in its simplicity. Next we had the special fried rice and the beef lo-mein. Both delivered.

The environment, the food is so worth it! I love the food it’s so fresh and ready to eat. Jenny the waitress is the best she makes you feel so comfortable and welcome right when you walk in. My wife and I ate at Tropical Chinese Restaurant, 7991 Bird Rd, .Miami FL 33155. Tropical Chinese Restaurant is a true gem! Their dim sun is outstanding, fresh, flavorful and authentically prepared. The steam seabass was exceptional, perfectly cooked, delicate, and delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and has a relaxed, welcoming ambiance that makes dining here a pleasure. The service is consistently attentive, friendly, and efficient. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

We’ve been coming here my whole life. My family and I came here for Christmas Day after not being here for years (it’s a bit of drive for us). They don’t take reservations so we were unsure when we saw a line outside the door. They said “it’s your lucky day” and sat us right away (table of 6). Dim sum service was going on so we immediately had a table full of delicious dim sum. The pan fried leek and shrimp dumplings were our favorite, although it was hard to choose. Jenny was our waiter and she was so so so lovely. We ordered the the peking duck and it was even better than how I remembered. Thank you for making our holiday so special, Tropical and Jenny!

Tropical Chinese Restaurant has become one of our favorite spots for Chinese food in Miami. The service is consistently excellent, and the food quality never disappoints. Our go-to dish is the Orange Chicken, which has the perfect citrus kick and is always fresh and crunchy. We also tried the Lo Mein, and it was flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in a generous portion. The staff made us feel appreciated and checked in just the right amount. This is a great place for family dinners, casual nights out, or takeout when you want reliable, delicious Chinese cuisine.

Excelente comida!!! Buen servicio y ambiente. We bought vegetable fried rice, shrimp fried rice and vegetable spring rolls. The bill was around 48$. Food was nice and friendly service, nice atmosphere, clean tables.

Very good Chinese food. Has been at this location since 1984. Excellent service. Large bar area.

Sunday dim sum Chinese brunch at its best in “no frills” atmosphere . My favorite is shrimp and leek. Go early for pineapple buns as they sell out fast. Update 2024: as everything else, it became way more expensive than before, you are looking into 40$ each without drinks. Also they don't have pineapple buns anymore.

Traditional Chinese cuisine, a little pricey but tastes pretty good. The xiaolong bao was not that good. The portion of the soup was tiny. Other dishes were good. $40-$50 per person

We were craving for dim sum after a long week on the cruise. I’m glad we came here because it’s really rare to see dim sum carts nowadays. It was so nostalgic to experience that again. The service was really great here. I wish there were more dim sum options. Overall, this was a great place to get dim sum if you’re in the area.

What you would expect from a dim sum restaurant. Food was good. Wasn’t a fan of the plastic bottled water they served.

Decoration definitely gorgeous and it’s still a good spot to hangout just because of the decoration but the food is not traditional Chinese food it’s more like American way!

Dim sum was good. Gets served on carts which some of the dim sums may not be as fresh. They have a few different ones rotating but it’s definitely confusing at first. The service was okay. The cart staff were great because they were constantly around. We were seated and we were not spoken to by a waiter, so we were never given any menus. We didn’t understand that there was a regular menu to order form. Haha but we eventually asked for one and then no one followed up so we were already full. The ambience and feel of the restaurant is very nice. Perfect for a night with friends or a date.

If you want authentic and tasty Chinese food. This is it! The dumplings and the vegetable rolls are out of this world. Tropical serves wine, beer and cocktails. I ordered a beer and my companion wine. The Orange beef and the sweet and garlic chicken were excellent. The service was excellent as well. Go and try it, in today's prices eating out, you will not brake the bank . This is a large restaurant will plenty of tables.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. Service was also attentive. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the overall dining experience was enjoyable.

Enjoy

After hearing so many glowing recommendations, I expected Tropical Chinese Restaurant to be exceptional. While it wasn’t bad, it ultimately failed to impress. The Garlic Mongolian Beef was decent, though somewhat predictable, while the Shrimp Lo Mein turned out to be the highlight of the meal — flavorful, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. On the other hand, the Beef Fried Rice lacked character, tasting rather flat and uninspired. The ordering system was confusing, and communication with the staff proved challenging, as several servers struggled with English. That said, portion sizes were large, and at $82 for two people, it felt reasonably priced by Miami standards.

Took 2 stars off because of one of the dishes ordered was not perfect. The seafood rice noodles included some fish cake and imitation crab that tasted a little bit sour. Overall a very nice atmosphere, quiet and friendly staff.

We recently dined at Tropical Chinese Restaurant and had a mixed experience. We ordered the half roast duck, Yeung Chow fried rice, dynasty pork chop, emperors prawns, pan-fried noodles with meat and some dim sum. The Yeung Chow fried rice, lacked flavor and was quite disappointing. Also the dim-sum was disappointing. On a brighter note, the Dynasty Pork Chops were delicious, offering a perfect blend of savory and sweet flavors. The prawns with vegetables were also quite good, with fresh and well-cooked prawns accompanied by crisp, flavorful vegetables. While the experience had its highs and lows, there’s potential for a more consistent dining experience.

Ordered take out from here and it was some of the worst food we’ve had in a while. The dishes were extremely greasy. The chicken was mostly batter and the rest dark chunky gross pieces of chicken. The friend rice had lettuce in it and old chicken. To top it off , it was super expensive. We felt so ripped off. This was our second time and last time giving this place a chance. Maybe they used to be good but not anymore. Skip it !!!

Over priced Chinese food. Gave it a second chance and will not go back. If you are willing to spend over $100 for 2 people, go for it. I'm not being cheap either, we are talking about chinese food here. Tip starts at 18%. Waitress don't speak English. No combination plates.

If I could give it a 0 I would. They provided THE WORST service I’ve ever had. The people were so rude, didn’t even greet us or check on us at any point and the food was horribly prized for the quality. At the end, we awaited to split the check in 2 but for one to pay sore than the other and they were refusing to help and just kept saying to put the cards down to charge us. To top it off at the end they came up to us and demanded a tip and got upset because we said no.

I regret ever giving this place 5 star review. I spoke tos one one over the phone to place a take out order ahead of time and they assured me of no need to rush I can go do it in person only to arrive and be told they are already booked for two days and no longer taking take out orders. Poor communication and no willingness to work with the customer whatsoever.

How is this disgusting place still open?? The A/C vent and ceiling were leaking on top of us onto our table. The glasses were foggy and the water had things floating in them. The tables are crowded so everyone feels like they are on top of each other and the carts can barely get through and you can't even really see what they have in the carts. The staff all seem annoyed. To top it all off, the food didn't sit well. A couple of us, myself included, felt sick for the entire next day. Never coming back and do not recommend!

The food was mediocre—just very ordinary dim sum that you can find anywhere. What really upset us was the tip handling. When we went to pay, we were pressured to leave a $31 tip. We ended up leaving $26, and the waiter responded by rolling his eyes at us. This completely ruined our lunch experience. We’ve had dim sum in Illinois, Minnesota, and California, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This place advertises all day dim sum however if you order dim sum in the evening they serve you leftovers they didn't sell in the morning. Literally after I ordered 6 dim sums, they all came out in less than 3 mins. I already knew this was going to be bad. All the food was cold. They didn't even bother microwaving it. The portion sizes are smaller and their prices are higher than dim sum from other places. Taste was not good and everything lacked flavor. Dry and bland. It just tasted like food that sat out on the counter all day, which exactly what it was. Furthermore, the waitress kept insisting we order the Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls (Shrimp Cheung Fun) but after saying no thanks 2 times, I caved in and said sure. When the dish came out, it was so bad that I honestly gotta say I felt scammed. She sold me something that sat out all day unsold and they just needed to get rid of it. The rice noodle rolls were so dry and rubbery, I didn't even bother eating it. The shrimp was tasteless and mushy when biting into it. The soup dumplings were so dry and shriveled up, no soup inside whatsoever. The steamed BBQ pork buns barely had any pork in it, and the little pork it did have, was tasteless. I'm sure if you come for dim sum in the morning, you'll have a much better experience but if you're going to put dim sum on your menu all day, then don't sell old, cold leftovers. I'm too scarred from this horrendous experience that I won't be giving this place another chance. Live and learn right?

I’ve been coming to Tropical Chinese for 33 years. It’s genuinely one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, and I bring my family because of the great food and the atmosphere. But the last three visits have been completely different—all because of the same waitress, Jenny. Tonight we were relieved because we finally had a different server. I come here to enjoy my meal, not to get spoken to like a child or reprimanded for arriving at the time we decided to have dinner. But despite not being our waitress, Jenny still felt the need to walk by our table and tell us we “got there too late” and to “hurry up and order” because the kitchen was closing—even though it was still 30 minutes before closing time. We ordered immediately just to avoid problems, but that’s not even the worst part. Our actual server didn’t know how to make our drinks, which was fine—I helped from our table—and another server kindly stepped in to assist. But when the meal was over and it was time to pay, guess who walked over to charge us? Jenny. And of course, she had something to say. She made a comment about the tip we left, and after everyone said goodbye, she repeated it again—loud enough for others to hear. Our bill was $260, and we left 18%, which is more than fair considering the attitude, the rudeness, and the way she was treating not just us but other customers, slamming drinks down and being openly unpleasant. That 18% tip reflects the experience. And everyone can thank Jenny for that—since she felt the need to announce it to her coworkers and kill the vibe on our way out. What a way to ruin a night.

I went here recently with my boyfriend and I was so excited to come back because I previously came here with my family and had no problems. When we first walked in, the staff pushing the dim sum carts were very nice and kind. Food was pretty good, some of the dishes were cold though. We tried asking for a dish with noodles and the menu but this one old lady kept telling us the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what we wanted. She only mentioned stuff NOT on the menu and she kept pushing us to get it. And it only got worse from there. When my boyfriend paid for our meal, the same exact old lady WATCHED HIM input his tip amount which is EXTREMELY RUDE. She had the audacity to lecture him, degrade him, and complain to him that his tip was not even the minimum and even ASKED HIM TO TIP MORE!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. I will never be coming back here. Please do not go here unless you like mid quality food for such a high price.

We usually enjoy coming here and have had good experiences in the past, which is why today’s visit was disappointing. Our server brought the food to the table but then was largely unavailable afterward. We had to ask other servers for water, request the check from someone else, and even pack our own leftovers — which hasn’t been the case on previous visits. At the end, we also waited quite a while because no servers were around. When the original server returned with the check, he appeared upset that no tip was left. Tipping is meant to reflect the level of service provided, and unfortunately today the service simply didn’t meet expectations. We’ll likely return because we’ve had better experiences before, but we hope this feedback helps improve consistency.
