Such a cute, authentic spot in the neighborhood! When the waitress greeted us with a heavy Italian accent we automatically knew we were in for a treat. The food was all freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. The eggplant appetizer was a standout on its own. Tip: save the bread to dip in the sauce!

I absolutely LOVED this place! The service was impeccable, the food’s delicious, the ambience was cozy and romantic. We ordered the Bruschetta with Burrata. The B was so creamy! I had the Bucatini A' matriciana, just the right amount of spicy 😋 My date had the lasagna which was extra cheesy and a hearty portion. Looking forward to visiting again!

Hidden Gem! Been meaning to check this place out for a while and so glad we did! The ambiance is lovely and the food incredibly fresh and authentic. If chicken could be steak, their Pollo alla Pizziola would be filet. So juicy, melt in your mouth, explosion of flavor. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

AMAZING. We got the Carbonara, amatriciana, truffle gnocchi, seafood pasta, traditional 3 plate pasta, bread and dip (I forgot the name) , tiramisu & limoncello gelato. Can’t complain about anything. Everything tasted Just like Italy , service was exceptional, super cute place, friendly staff. 100% authentic food made and cooked there. Fresh pasta & sauce. By far the best Italian food I have had in Miami.

Great authentic Italian food! You would never know it's in the heart of downtown, however you don't feel like you are in downtown when you are there. Everything I have tried there has been delicious!!! My favorite so far the lamb ravioli which were a special of the day. Hope I can try them again sometime soon. They also have a good some selection and very friendly staff. It won't disappoint!

This Italian restaurant is a diamond in the rough in the middle of concrete downtown Miami. If you’re looking for an authentic and really fresh Italian meal, look no further than Vero. My sister and I were practically the only ones in the restaurant speaking English, so immediately we could tell that Vero was The spot for Italian locals. It’s storefront, what looks like a wooded hole in the wall, starkly contrasts the rest of the Miami views. We had the gnocchi as an appetizer. I’ve only had gnocchi a few times before, but their combination of gnocchi and tomato sauce and cheese is now my favorite. The tomato sauce and basil garnish was so fresh that I wondered were their garden was hidden. I love tomatoes, and I could really tell that these were not out of a can. My sister and I split a plate of pasta as well as a pizza, a very good serving of food for the both of us. The food took quite a while to come out, another sign of just how freshly it is made. We got the Vero Italian downtown pizza, which I HIGHLY recommend. This pizza was covered in sausage, mushrooms, goat cheese, and truffle oil—a combination I was hesitant to try at first, but it was incredible. The pasta plate was the bucatini a amatriciana spaghetti, and the sauce was a bit spicy, but very smoothly done. This was another dish you can tell is super fresh. The thick spaghetti noodles were difficult to fork into your mouth gracefully, but hey it’s Italian food! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to choosing a plate. You can clearly see that Vero takes pride in making their dishes authentically and from scratch. This restaurant has a very romantic vibe and is perfect for date night and intimacy. If you are visiting the Miami area and want to try some of the cuisine variety that Miami has to offer, Vero is a must!

I’ve dined here twice and it’s always warm, tasty and their service is authentic Italian! There service speed could improve a bit but I get it they’re cooking high quality Italian food. The atmosphere is quaint, warm, cozy and safe. They are vegan friendly! The prices are fair and reasonable.

Authentic Italian. Amazing pasta dishes. We had the fettuccine carbonara and tortellini Bolognes. Pasta was perfect with a great chew and packed with flavor. Tiramisu was excellent. Caesar salad was okay, and the burrata bruschetta app was delicious.

Came here on a Tuesday night. We got greeted and seated right away. The two server ladies were super nice and let us choose a table. It started getting packed after around 8 pm. It’s a nice spot with a very cute ambiance perfect for a first date! The best part about this place is that they have an open kitchen so you can actually watch your food getting ready ! The menu includes a lot of authentic Italian dishes including a large seafood option. They do not have hard liquor which I personally appreciate because it keeps it a little bit more on the higher end of family Resteraunt. They do have a nice champagne and wine options so you will definitely find something you like. We got the salmon and butternut squash ravioli. Both of it delicious. But the best thing was the tiramisu desert. Maybe also because it’s our favorite but this Resteraunt has one of the best ones I have ever had. We had a great time and I would come back here anytime.

I must say we really enjoyed our dinner at Vero. I had carbonara it was silky and cooked to perfection. They were very accommodating with our special request. The staff was great always happy and smiling. The restaurant was cleaned, the background music and the perfect volume. Next time we are in Miami we will certainly come back. Thank You Vero for making our Christmas a very happy one away from home.!!

We showed up early when no one was in the restaurant. The interior and the space was welcoming, warm and even romantic. Our waiter was awesome and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed the Italian music and ended the night with Tiramisu (highly recommend). Overall great experience. Thank you Miami !

My wife and I chose this place for its location and we were so happy we did. We were on a very tight schedule with a party of six and they had us in and out in a little over an hour with everything running seamlessly. Paola was the perfect hostess, and chef Paolo concocted a birthday cake that was so well done that it reminded us of the one we had enjoyed so much for our wedding. (We were doubly impressed as this was a last minute add-on, requested just two hours before we arrived.) We are not ones to write reviews, but we were so impressed with our experience; it really added to the joy of our evening, and the food was simple, fresh and delicious. Thank you; we will definitely be going back.

At first I just stopped by to have a cold beer on a hot day. Paola (the owner) turned one beer into two and a really great meal. Sat at the bar chatting with her for almost two hours. The food was modestly priced, great flavor, located in a shaded and breezy "alley way" this place is probably one of the best kept secrets in the downtown area. Totally recommended, it's such I nice place.

The best service! The best food yet in Miami!!!!! The linguine squid infused noodles with lobster chunks in a nice light sauce. All we can say is WOW!! We are in town and from Michigan after a cruise. We decided to stay in Miami for two extra nights, SO GLAD WE DID!! And tried this Resturant, very elegant, clean and nicely decorated. A little gem here in this area! We are celebrating our 15 year anniversary and when we arrived they had a complementary glass of champagne for each of us, as well as a complimentary dessert from the kitchen that was to die for!! Must try this place if you are an Italian food lover!!! We are disappointed we live so far away to not be able to enjoy this again soon!! Thank you Vero for a wonderful experience!! We loved it!! The food was DELICIOUS!! The interior ambiance is very nice. The owners are a husband and wife team from Italy and they cook the food fresh. The wife was EXTREMELY convivial. We're very picky when it comes to Italian food, and this restaurant's food was AMAZING - made to order, hearty, and elegant. Their menu includes items that you rarely can get like venison which I love. It's not located in the greatest part of downtown, but it's a hidden gem and worth going to!!

Vero Italian is the #1 restaurant on my Miami list! As a born and raised local, I think I speak with authority when I say that I don't know of any other restaurant in Miami that is SUCH A TOTAL PACKAGE! First off, the food cannot be beat. If you want top-quality, authentic, Italian dining, look no further. I've tried 12 items off their menu and I've been honest-to-g*d FLOORED by every single one. I think maybe their squid-ink pasta was the most interesting to me? All were absolutely phenomenal though. Secondly, the owners, Paola and Paolo (how cute is that?) are amazing! They are warm, attentive, and obviously dedicated masters of their craft. And the rest of their staff is lovely as well. I first heard of Vero Italian when looking to book a restaurant for my father's 60th birthday party, and Paolo and Paola could not have provided a better experience for us! Not only were they willing to work with us on an incredibly last minute schedule, but they were SO flexible and willing to cater to every single thing we asked for. In a city with a lot of flashy shallow dining, Vero Italian is a rare gem! I highly recommend Vero to anyone in the area!

I work downtown Miami and I have passed this place hundreds of times. Matter of fact, I walk through it to get to a Greek restaurant. Last week I was with a co worker and I said to him that I wanted Italian food. Well crossed the street and we bumped into Vero. We both looked at each other and said Let's try it. For lunch they have two menus. One for lunch and regular menu. We decided to do the Lunch menu, I ordered the Pasta Carbonara which comes with warm bread and a drink. WOW!!! Not many places offer that in Miami. We were both satisfied with the portion, the presentation and the taste was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian food in Downtown.

Second time is the charm. Being from Philadelphia, you can imagine how accessible Italian cuisine is. Both from the city itself or the one next door (NY). I have had a LOT of absolutely amazing Italian food; so imagine my surprise when I found out I’d have to go home, to Philly, and admit that my new King of Italian cuisine is in Miami. I’ll do you one better... imagine having to tell my boys over at Indeblue (the best Indian restaurant in the city) that they no longer do the best Lamb Chops I’ve ever had, either. Huge kudos to the staff, here. They are amazing. The food was incredible and made my trip to Miami worth it. My lady insisted we have our last dinner her as they were THAT good when we visited on our first evening. 5/5 For the lamb alone!!

Excellent food! Excellent service! Bar non top 3 places in south Florida for real homemade Italian food. Everything is made in house by the owner Paula and her staff. Fresh sauces and pastas everyday. Location wise you wouldn't expect there to be such a hidden gem but it's beyond expectations. There's really no set item to get on the menu because everything is excellent. Enjoy!

This place is a gem. The food was delicious, high quality and not exorbitantly priced, and the service was also impeccable from Brando who was super attentive and courteous. Our leftover food was also boxed for us which most places don’t do these days. Will definitely be back👏

WOW. This is authentic Italian!! The whole experience was awesome. I loved the ambience and the owners, Paolo and Paula, were so nice! The sangria was possibly the best I have ever had. For Dinner we got the gnocchi and clams, and for dessert these little cream puffs, both courses were excellent. Everything was so wonderful! I really felt like I was back in Europe.

We called Vero hoping to get a table, Vivian was very gracious told me we may have to wait ten or fifteen minutes for a table and they would be happy to accommodate us, I'm glad we waited because they did not disappoint. The food and service were great. My kids loved the bread and pizza. Eventhough they were very busy, night before the marathon everyone was pleasant. We will see you again on our next trip to Miami. Kudos to Vero and its staff for a job well done.

Went there for the first time and totally felt in love with Vero Italian! Atmosphere is beautiful and quite, we were 6 people with 2 kids. Paola the owner was so caring to attend us. Pasta is delicious like the one i had in Italy once. Good choice of wines too. The kids enjoyed their pizza. I will go again to try also the lunch menu. Thank you Vero Italian for giving me and my family such a good time

The food is amazing, veal was tender and super flavourful, best veal pasta I've ever eaten. The pizza was fluffy, yet still very thin and felt authentic. The service was a bit slow, but they gave us three free dishes to make up for it--and those were delicious as well.

Most authentic Italian meal ever. Brando was the best waiter ever and very attentive. My favorite was the Lobster ravioli and the tiramisu for dessert. Authentic and delicious. My family found this place on a whim 7 years ago, and we have been coming back ever since. Amazing food, ambience and service. With family from Italy, this is one of the few places we can go for an incredible Italian meal. We never feel rushed and never leave hungry; I should've reviewed our love for Vero sooner.

This place is so good! Waitress was extra ordinarily helpfull and knowledgeable when it came to ordering off the menu. I came here for my birthday dinner and it was definitely special!! I don't know why people seem to complain about the wait times to get food out as they state literally on their menu that the dishes are cooked fresh and might be a minute while going on to suggest people could ask what dishes might be quickest to prepare if you're in a hurry. Food was so good and honestly didn't even take that long to come out in the first place. Everyone was so nice and most everyone was born and raised in Italy. Don't second guess coming here!!! They deserve all the love and success out there. The only thing to watch out for and be aware of is that they charge six dollars for water 😕

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. Typically Italian atmosphere like you would come across in Italy or in Europe. The people in the service are great with the right amount of attention and service like you would expect. Good kitchen with good quality food. Really enjoyed the nice dish. As a European this feels like being home. I would definitely come here again. Keep up the good work!

A true taste of Italy in Miami!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars) -vegan/vegetarian friendly! Vero Italian is an absolute gem! The warm staff made my significant other’s birthday celebration unforgettable with great food, laughs, and wine (also the cute birthday decor they had on the table when we arrived was the cherry on top). Staff made great suggestions and the dining experience truely enjoyable. A true wine and dine authentic Italian cuisine coming for the city of Miami. The fresh, authentic food is simply divine. Amazing food, absolutely delicious. Tasted everything from our group of 4 and i want to come back to order the other 3 meals. Wait staff is very pleasant and professional. I was recently in Miami for a business meeting and decided to take my team out for a late dinner. Vero was close to our hotel so I decided to give it a shot, although as someone who has traveled to Italy many times, my expectations were pretty low. Well, I was SO WRONG! My Amatriciana pasta was delicious, cooked al dente the way a true Italian chef would do it. The bread basket was full of wonderful fresh bread with a crispy crust and so full of flavor. And when we ordered red wine, our server suggested we try another before she poured the one we chose, and she was right - her recommendation was perfect! If you're looking for truly authentic and delicious Italian food with personalized and excellent service, don't look anywhere else. Go to Vero!

This food actually made me cry, it was so good. Genuine italian food. This place should have a reservation list months long. All of the dishes are impeccably balanced, not too strong nor too bland. The blend of sweetness and acidity in their sauce is second to none. It is evident that they truly care for the quality of food they produce. Organic and free range options as well. Tip large and take the wine recommendation. You won’t regret it!!!

Great food and service. I am Italian and I came in Miami for vacation with my family. Tired of the usual American food we came to Vero Italian hoping to find something that could make us feel home. And we did it! The food is genuinely tasty and well prepared, according to the tradition. The owner and her daughter are really nice and provided a great service. If you happen to be around the downtown Miami area you should definitely pass by for some food Italian food. The lamb chops are phenomenal and they reminded me a lot of the ones I have back home in Rome. Thank you Michela e Vicky!

Food was AMAZING…I will go back for sure. Service was a bit slow but the staff were VERY knowledgeable of the menu and make great recommendations. Atmosphere is quaint , simple and casual. Only one unisex bathroom…not a great neighborhood but the food was worth it

As someone with celiac, this was the best gluten free dinner I had in Miami! They have a dedicated gluten free menu, and the staff is very informed about allergies and the available food options. The ingredients were fresh and the food was absolutely delicious. Fresh bread and gnocchi and one happy girl!

One of my favorite eat in Miami Downtown. Cheif is from Rome, so you cannot expect but the best. I ordered a Burrata salad that was fresh as a garden. OMG that soft cheese 😍and roasted tomato is a perfect mix. A Cotolette Angellino lamp dish from heaven. I had to use my hands to make sure I leave no micro peace of this marinated lamp chops cooked to perfection. Simply I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK

Excellent. Me and my husband took my parents here for an anniversary dinner. Everything we got was amazing! And they had a wine recommendation for us that was perfect. I think it’s my new favorite wine. Amazing. The staff were very friendly and treated me and my mom so special. They called us princesses and served us first with everything. So sweet. And it impressed my husband and dad too. We will be back when we’re in town again. Over all great experience.

Rating: 4.6 Stars I was here for a dinner date back in 2019 during a dental conference held at the nearby Intercontinental Miami! The Fettuccine Bolognese, made with fresh, homemade pasta, was very good. It had a very generous portion of meat. While it looks like this is not on the menu anymore, I will guess that the other pasta offerings are equally as yummy! My significant other got the margherita pizza. It was very tasty. The warm, fresh bread was great! Finally, the service was excellent.

Went on a Monday night. Only ones there. Given excellent service: always kept our glasses full, helpful answers to questions, friendly, enjoyable chit chat, great care given. The food- so good. We ordered a lot from apps to main course and it was excellent. I'm not an Italian food expert, but I have been to Italy and I'm sold on the authenticity of this place. The tomatoes especially, our waiter told us they get them straight from Italy. Regardless, I couldn't get enough tomato it was so good. It's definitely a diamond in the rough because the area it's located in felt a little sketchy, and Vero is a small restaurant tucked away, but oh so worth it. Would definitely go again next trip to Miami.

What can I say. This place is a gem. I came back only for the honey gnocci and tiramisu, and were met with an amazing waiter. Valerio was super kind and even changed us from our table due to a personal inconvenience, so he really made sure we had the best possible time. One year was too long of a wait. I'll definitely come back sooner next time!

Super attention to great flavor and food delivery. If you want a true Italian experience this is a good choice. Staff are native Italian with English as a second language so you get a real Old World experience here. If you need a big chain escalator ride then go elsewhere but if all you need is excellent Italian then choose Vero.

Just had an amazing time at Vero Italian in Miami! The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the pizza? Wow! The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Definitely coming back for more! 🍝🍕

This is easily the most beautiful locale on the block- a restaurant situated in between concrete pillars of downtown buildings, Vero Italian stands out with its glass panes and natural lighting from its many windows, as well as the wooden accents and greenery decorating the entrance. Owned by a husband and wife from Italy, the menu boasts authenticity and genuine Italian flavors and service. This lovely restaurant hosts indoor and outdoor seating- and we chose to sit indoors, where casual elegance is the theme. We were greeted warmly by the owner and offered a drink immediately. My mom opted for a wine and was recommended the Chardonnay, which she claims to be some of the best she's had. After looking over the menu, we were somewhat at a loss and ended up relying on some suggestions for our dining experience. We ended up choosing the Involtini di Melanzane e Ricotta- a delicious dish with ricotta & provolone that was cheesy and saucy, and paired perfectly with the complementary bread. The owner highly recommended the Rigatoni Alla Carbonara as one of their true authentic dishes from home, and my mom chose that as her entree. I went with The Linguine Nere- as I've been dying to try a squid ink platter for some time now. Our appetizer was served quickly and we devoured every bit of it, dipping our bread in the cheese and tomato. The server was very attentive and often came around to replace our waters and clear any used cutlery and plates. Once our pastas were brought out, we were ready to dig in. I LOVED my linguine- there was a perfect amount of chili to give it a hint of spice and it was a gorgeous plate. The rigatoni was also incredible and the pancetta was savory and gave the whole dish amazing flavor. For dessert, we opted for the Panna Cotta and the Tiramisu. This was easily the best Tiramisu I've had thus far. The coffee flavor was perfectly balanced to the sponge, and the cream was amazing. We had never had Panna Cotta before and we loved it- a mild sweetness, which perfectly topped our meal! We truly enjoyed our visit and I want to come back to try some of their pizza- I saw a Peri Peri pie calling my name!

Waitress was very accommodating to our larger group. The gnocchi was very good but a very small portion, and what is presented on the plate was also a lot of tomatoes so less filling. The side of the broccoli was the star of the show for me, oddly!

Nice restaurant with somewhat authentic Italian dishes. They also have a great selection of both Italian wines and beers. We had the tortellini with bolognese, good not amazing, and the ravioli burro e salvia, much more interesting. I’d go back. Prices are high but in line with surrounding shops.

Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Pricey but very good. Had to knock down a star because of the waitress. Not friendly, had to be waved down for our DRINK, didn’t refill, no bread basket, etc. Awful. First time we had to tip lower than 20% - most people would have given her no tip for her attitude.

If you are looking for great Italian food, Vero definitely has that! Being from Miami and knowing the restaurant is located in downtown, I chose to visit on a Wednesday afternoon. There wasn't many people and my guest and I were seated right away. The server even asked whether we preferred to be seated inside or outside. Since Florida actually had cool weather that day, we chose to sit outside. The outside seating is located in a small pathway with dim lighting, which made it feel very cozy. From the moment we sat down, our waitress made us feel comfortable and poured us both a glass of water. A little after settling in, the owner (Paola), approached us and asked if it we were familiar at all with Italian food and made a few recommendations. My guest ordered the pizza Diavola, which is a pizza with spicy Italian salami and some chili oil drizzle over the top. I, on the other hand, ordered the Linguine Nere, which is linguine made with squid ink, giving it a black appearance on the pasta. The linguine was made with shrimp and calamari, but included some arugula, tomatoes and some chili as well. Needless to say, the food was incredible. I can definitely say our taste buds were blown away. Unfortunately, being that the restaurant is located in Downtown Miami, parking is a bit of a hassle and can be a little pricey for some. On the bright side, there is a parking garage on the same street in which Vero is located and it is really only a couple of steps away from the garage.

This was an amazing experience and our server was just wonderful. The only complaint I have is that we ordered an inexpensive (14$) bottle of wine and they were out of it and replaced it with with a 50$ bottle of wine and said it would be similar in pricing and taste. We didn’t know the price until the check came. It wasn’t a big deal. We still had a really great time and enjoyed the hell out of our dinner.

This place is cute. They have an indoor and an outdoor seating. My husband and I sat outside. We ordered the bruschetta and it was fine. For dinner I had the roasted chicken and my husband had lasagna. He wasn’t pleased at all with the lasagna. The pasta was hard and didn’t like the sauce flavoring and it wasn’t filling for him. I enjoyed my meal it came with a salad and potato wedges. It was fine. It was quiet and there wasn’t any waiting. The parking is the thing you just have to park in a lot.

Chicken was overcooked, and the pasta in the bucatini amatriciana was overcooked as well. Overall, we were underwhelmed by the food and the service, unfortunately. The overall ambiance was nice. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area that looks like you are tucked away in an alley in Italy.

First experience here in January, awesome. Got the lamb and a pasta to go. Lamb is delicious but the pasta was so so. Was really excited to come back. Now, came in when it wasn’t too busy and took a while to get set. Fine no problem. Took a good 10min to get asked for drinks. We already knew what we wanted to order so when she asked we told her we’re ready. She said two minutes she’ll be right back. Disappears for another 15min then we spot her wandering around before contemplating leaving. She came back JUST before we were about to stand and leave. Service was fine after this point as I believed she noticed our frustrations. Last two peeves is they included Gratuity and then assumed the change from our bill was theirs as well. It wasn’t much granted but we didn’t even receive the receipt.

Booked the restaurant for my daughter‘s birthday for 16 people. The service took too long. Server forgot most of the drinks and then most of the dishes have high amount of salt. I thought restaurant would compensate on the price due to this experience but they didn’t. I would not recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant on the way out of the event we were at. First I would like to say the atmosphere of the restaurant and decor was very nice. The staff was friendly too but it was very hard to understand the waiter or for the waiter to understand me since he spoke little English, and I even less Italian. It made ordering food a little difficult. Now the food was very bland for the most which surprised me since it’s made fresh, however the Pan with Bolognese sauce and slices of bread (which is one piece of bread sliced in half with a whole saucer of the bolognese sauce) was very good. Unfortunately one slice of bread doesn’t cut it. I also was disappointed with the Minestrone soup it was overly salty and very bland this is not authentic minestrone. I have family that come from Italy so I understand some dishes might be on a blander side but I really think they need to shorten the menu and concentrate on flavors more. I would have liked to have given a 4 star review, but with the food being bland and the staff forgetting to put the chicken in the Cesar salad I ordered to go but payed for I could not give a better rating then 3 stars. Also the price and how expensive the bill was you would think not to forget the chicken especially when no one else is in the restaurant and they were not busy at all. So over all I can not recommend this place unless the food or prices become a little better and I truly hope they do. This place has potential just needs a few tweaks on the food and communication barriers.

This is a nice hole in the wall Italian restaurant. The pizza crust could have been thicker and the toppings get cut smaller but it was still good.

Really disappointed in the food, we ordered two pizzas- both were raw, wet, and inedible. We also ordered the squid ink pasta "spicy" which had very little flavor. They also offered us bread to start which was very dry and the server did not mention we would be charged an additional 10$ for it. Overall not a good experience for the price point.

Unfortunately I have to write a review that is not so glowing. This place has been one of my usual spots for nearly 10 years, and I had a great relationship with the owners. The food was incredible and well portioned. The prices were reasonable and the personal service was as you would expect from a family owned business. Today I went to get my usual spaghetti bolognese only to find a change in ownership, not a problem. I was, however, confronted with a price increase in excess of 30%, from $13 to $19 for the same dish. The portion size is smaller and the quality of the ingredients has clearly gone down. I hate to say this, but this is my last time ordering from there. I wish the new owners the best of luck, however the increase in price and decrease in quality and quantity is unjustified. Good luck.

This place is definitely a good place to eat in Miami if you want to eat Italian food. The classic Carbonara was totally insane! However, I wouldn't recommend tourists to go there: waitress wasn't welcoming contrary to other customers. Little surprise few days later: we were charged of $15 tips (it should have been $5). Suppose the "$" sign mixed up with the "1"

Food: not great. Lamb chop was basically served rare without asking me how I'd like it cooked. Had to ask them to reheat it, and doesn't have great taste or texture either. I've had much better lamb chops elsewhere for the same price Service: waiters are welcoming and had good service. However the wait for the food is waaay too long, about 50% longer than usual restaurants. I wouldn't give 18% tip with that kind of wait along but it was automatically added Atmosphere: good atmosphere

This place looked amazing in the reviews, but save yourself from dining in. The staff was attentive, and they really tried. The food was horrible. It was super salty and unauthentic. The bolognese was super greasy. I wanted to add sausage to one of the pasta dishes, and they gave me boiled sausage on the side. My glass of wine was hot. I really wanted to give this place a try, but it was horrible. I'm sorry to leave a review like this.

The service is very, very slow, it takes more than 1 hour to serve a plate of pasta and when the food arrives at the table it is cold. The pesto sauce is vile, it's old and tasteless. The quality of the food is not consistent with the prices they charge. There are much better alternatives in the area. The waiters are very friendly, but the kitchen and the quality of the food work against them.

I came with some friends for our 7:30pm reservation. We didn’t get food until 10pm. Mind you, we ordered drinks and put the food in right away. I ordered a margarita pizza but instead got a cheese, Chuck E. Cheese pizza. I had my friends try it to see if I was being picky but they all agreed. Half their pastas were undercooked and hard. How do you take 2 hours and the pasta is still not cooked? Our server was amazing, I felt bad because he could tell we were hungry and impatient but it wasn’t his fault. I then look at the reviews just to see if we had a bad experience and I wish I would’ve looked sooner. They do not take criticism constructively, rather argue and make excuses. Me nor my friends would ever go back but good luck to them.

I was disapointed with my experience at vero italian. When we entered the restaurant, we were not met with a welcome, employees seemed to ignore us until 15 min later we were placed at our table even though we had a reservation. The table layout was also weird since i was beside my girlfriend instead of in front of her, but that was not an actual issue, just an observation. Then we waited about 30 min to get serves water and to get our order taken. The employee didn’t say hi, didn’t look at us and looked annoyed and overwhelmed. We then received the burrata which was really good and we were really satisfied with our choice. We then waited a whole 1h30 until we received our main course. The rigatoni carbonara was too cold and WAYYY too salty. We were once again disapointed. Overall, we were disapointed more by the lack of service than the food but even the food was less than ideal also.

The food was great, but the whole experience was terrible. We ordered 3 plates and it took over 1h30m to bring those. One drink took over 20 minutes, after asking for it repeatedly. Would not recommend. It seems every table (there are around 5 other tables being served) has had issues, so it’s not just us. Edit: I wrote the original review before ordering the check, but the whole experience grew even worse. Some points about our visit: 1. The server couldn't get our order correct from the start 2. It took 2+ reminders to bring anything we ordered, even a can of coke from the fridge (the second coke we ordered was brought by a different server after being ignored by our server) 3. Even after the terrible experience, we were planning to leave a small tip in cash (definitely lower than what we usually leave, but because at least some of the issues were related to kitchen delays that were not our server's fault, we didn't want to leave without any tips even after he did a bad job). We found out the gratuity was automatically included in our bill and we requested to have it removed. 4. After asking our server to remove the gratuity, he started being rude, throwing the check at our table. We ended up leaving no tip 5. The table next to ours was also complaining to their server (a different one than ours) about the food being cold and salty, so we weren't an isolated case. I think their food took only around 30-40 minutes, so at least that went better for them 6. Overall, the worst experience I've had dining out. The sad part is my wife and I had a great experience a few years back at this restaurant and we wanted to go back once we flew back to Miami, but we'll never go back again.

M
Megna Patel

Server was great, food was horrible. The bread came out cold, salad seemed stale, the linguine with pesto had too much salt and was cold as was the eggplant Parmesan- could sick my finger in the middle when it came out. Mentioned it to the waiter and chef said they would remake it. We didn’t want to risk it, so we ended up leaving without eating, but ended up paying the whole bill!! Would not recommend.

I'm sorry guys but tonight was truly awful. It was my birthday and the night was soured by our experience here. Over two hours we sat there. After an hour and a haĺf you served our starters. By 10.30pm we decided to leave as it was by then way too late to eat. No apology and you the audacity to charge us full whack PLUS a service charge. You deserve less than a one star review...it was abysmal and every other table in the restaurant suffered the same!!!! UPDATE: Read their response and WOW what a lacklustre apology. Thank you for the tale about your staff woes....sounds like you have more than just food problems. We visited Miami from the UK and although we will visit again we will NEVER visit your restaurant. Furthermore, an apology on the night would have been appreciated far more. Instead, we were met with sullen, resentful staff....the arrogance!

Overall this place was a complete waste of money. My food seemed to have missing ingredients as the dish did not have cheese or basil on top. The dish itself had sauce smudges on it which was definitely off putting. Another thing is that the food was not filling and the past itself was undercooked. The dish was also somewhat bland and underwhelming. It seems like other reviews these particular things about the food being bland and undercooked but the restaurant seems to just blame it on others. But I am assured now that they are in fact in denial and this is the worst food for the money I spent I’ve ever had!!! RE: Looking at some other reviews, it seems clear that they don't take our reviews as an opportunity to better their practices. this place would bring kitchen nightmares back to the top charts if Gordon Ramsey revamped the show...take my advice: don't waste your money here.

B
Bob Thucker

You would have high expectations for a dish that costs $22. Give me boxed pasta from Walmart, Ragu pasta sauce, and pepper flakes and parmesan packets from pizza hut, and I could've made a more quality dish than what I got. Charging a $30 service fee??? As if paying for an overpriced pasta isn't enough... Edit: I have looked at a lot of the recent reviews where customers had a negative experience, and it is ridiculous how you (the owner) responds to criticism. You make too many excuses, and you are incredibly condescending with some of your other response. You can either use negative reviews as an opportunity to improve your restaurant, or you can choose to be in denial and continue to make excuses for you and your restaurant's shortcomings. Be better.

Originally, I'd typed a LONG review and linked it here- seeing as that won't work, I'll instead just try to condense all my points. TL:DR- do NOT come here at all. Olive Garden would be a better choice. Initially, I'd stated that this place was a Siren at Sea: it looks alluring with its nice decor and fancy-sounding menu, but in reality, its food is upward of double the price of Olive Garden for less quality than school cafeteria spaghetti. While this all holds true, I'd like to add another point: The owners are liars and dodge accountability. Not only did all our dishes lack any seasoning (Literally no salt, no pepper, no Italian spices visible nor taste-able), but half of us had undercooked pasta. One of my friends said as much in his review and the owners responded talking about the concept of al dente, as if he were dense- we KNOW what al dente means, and we know that was NOT al dente: it was undercooked. On top of that, another friend who'd ordered a lobster ravioli dish was essentially handed flaccid cardboard: it's one thing to skimp on fillings, but it's another to put such a thin layer that you cannot even feel the texture of it, let alone the taste. We also had to flag down our waitress to have her take our order after 30+ minutes, which my friend also mentioned in his review. While it's fair enough that they only had one waitress, what the owners were more than happy to blatantly lie about was that "there were so many tables". The restaurant wasn't even at 1/3rd of its capacity when we arrived, nor did it exceed that during our time there. Again, none of my friends and I lack common sense: we wouldn't be complaining about slow service if there was a full restaurant and just one waitress. And all of this is topped by the fact that not only is their food unseasoned and tasteless, but their ingredients are comparable in quality AT BEST to store-brand ingredients. The Bolognese that we'd ordered could've been done significantly better with a jar of Ragu and Walmart ground beef. You can look at various other bad reviews before me, we are NOT the first to complain about undercooked pasta, bland food, etc- as a matter of fact, we weren't even shocked when the Owner's responded with comments about the concept of al dente and about how not all tastes will appeal to everyone: we were counting on it. The fact that they're so predictable in their response is more indicative of them wanting to stand by bad food and pin it on customers rather than take responsibility for lackluster food and improve. Before the owners mention it themselves, I'll also say that yes, this is my first review: I've never given reviews, good nor bad- our experience here was so woefully disappointing that I couldn't NOT mention it. They also tried pulling this card on a friend of mine who left a review, as if that would take away from the fact that the experience was nothing short of a scam: we walked into a place that looked 4-stars at least, only to be given food that isn't even worth one star (The lack of any flavor rendered it more sustenance than food: you'd eat it simply because it's edible and you're hungry) and then charged upward of $25 a dish. I'd initially intended to be less crude in my response, but I have no patience for my friends and I being treated like clueless tourists who don't know what al dente is, or what seasonings (Such as SALT) should appear in Italian food.
